The irony of this Sunday morning rabbit hole is the fact that it grew from pure serendipity, as I pondered who Michael Cera was married to, after noticing a wedding ring on his finger in an Instagram reel about his role as “Allan” in Barbie (2023), and found this article:

Michael Cera and his lovely wife Nadine have proven that it IS absolutely 97.6% possible to keep your private life private, if you truly did want to keep your private life private (and didn’t tell Amy Schumer.)

It was at the bottom of this article that I found this fascinating juxtaposition of headlines.

Just When You Though Elon Musk Couldn't Be Any Dumber....

he goes and proves you wrong. According to Car And Driver Musk, in response to a Twitter user, said that an update to the 'Autopilot' software that enables Teslas to drive themselves – sorta? – would disable the feature that makes drivers keep their hands on the wheel – which can apparently be fairly easily defeated in any case.

Now keep in mind Tesla is already under investigation by the NHTSA (National Highway Traffic Safety Administration) for Autopilot-related accidents so Musk apparently thinks that throwing fuel on a dumpster fire of his own making would somehow assuage them?

As corporatist as our government is, they're going to have to make an example of Elon Musk very, very soon, methinks.

@caranddriver, my favorite magazine, has a tumblr, but it has been inactive for ten years. Sad :(. I wish i could converse with the brilliant publication that has such informative verdicts about cars such as "The GLB35 is an angry little guy" on my favorite social media. time to shoot them an email. who knows what might come of that. I feel like modern au zuko can drive, is very good at it, has his license, and will get you where you need to go but like. with very dangerous efficiency. he drives like Evel Knievel. he drives like a bat out of hell. he whips the wheel hard as fuck and you will see Jesus even if the drive is from your house to the corner store. his car is used and like 10 years old but she is strong and loyal just like her master and wont break down for anything. she'll tear over anything in her path. zuko has given iroh so many mini heart attacks while driving him around (<- because iroh does NOT have his license). worst of all is that zuko does NOT talk or road rage ever when he drives he's DEAD SILENT and simply blasts the radio. and its always either terrifying Chinese opera or crazy shit like Free Bird by Lynyrd Skynyrd

#zuko is the gaangs free of charge Uber driver but he's not gonna do it without making them suffer a little bit.#he drives a dinky cigarette car but like I said she is strong and he also cleans her regularly so theres that.#and he's silent like I said so whenever the gaang is screeching at him that they're gonna crash he simply does not react.
