You're in luck, this is one of those rare AUs where Adams actually doesn't abandon Pico!

Signing up for the security gig was one of the best decisions Adams' had done in his life. It was a job he could do, and the best he was ever paid at the time. Thanks to that he wasn't constantly stressed or busy keeping up or looking for other jobs and fretting over how he was going to make enough for the rent and bills next month. Keith and The Boyfriend's Funkstaraunt had unknowingly changed both Adams' and Pico's lives for the better, and helped Adams grow closer to and notice his son more than he did at the start.

Adams secretly thanked Keith for it--his generosity, his consideration for those who worked for him. There was something different about him that made Adams find himself wanting to get closer, although he believed he was far too out of league to ever reach out to his boss for such a matter. He'd end up regretting not doing so in the long run though.

Adams would find himself unable to step in the Funkstaraunt again after getting the news on Cherry's birthday the day after the incident. Along with the girl, both he and Pico were devastated, and even as the Boyfriend animatronic managed to cheer up the children for a while, Adams could only watch from the sides as little Pico, Cherry and their other kiddy friends enjoyed Boyfriend's company. There was a sense of familiarity when the mascot looked at him for a brief moment, almost unsettling, and that look alone made Adams make his decision. He would not come there ever again, not when the only person who brightened their world had been murdered within those walls.

Little Pico was upset, but didn't complain nonetheless when Adams quit and instead chose to move away to another apartment across the city--this one far better than their old crappy one. He'd miss seeing his friends, but most of all, he'd miss seeing the one person who made his father smile and love for the first time since the boy could ever remember.

I know Sex Education has always been a bit bright and not quite real in its setting, but series 4 has really taken that to the extreme. This new college is just not believable as a real learning environment for teenagers and it's completely taking me out of the show.

Like, yes the diversity and commitment to being green is great, but it's just not real. The holier than thou attitude also seriously rubs me up the wrong way (using paper is ILLEGAL unless apparently you're in art class; if you don't cycle to school, you clearly just need to be told that your car is bad for the environment).

Where are the teachers? Where's the adult oversight? Where are the classrooms? How does this place afford tablets for every pupil and seemingly unlimited space for all these special rooms? This is a fantasy setting, not a real college. Moordale, while heightened, at least felt like a real environment.

It seems like a silly thing to take issue with, especially since I wouldn't have such an issue with a new school-set show that worked like this, but with such an established show, it throws me right out of the expected tone and rules of the world as they've been built until now.

Weirdly, and I don't think this was all the new setting's fault, I also just… didn't care about what was hapenning? I'm literally one episode in and I found it a slog to finish it. Season 3 I ended up binge-watching despite my better judgement because it was such compulsive viewing. This one just felt contrived and unreal.

I know it's setting up plot threads for later (Will Ruby get in with the cool crowd? Will Maeve come back? Will Eric get baptised? Will Adam get a job?), but I don't even feel compelled to find out the answers. I probably will keep watching, but I'm so disappointed so far.

You're getting soaked despite whatever you're using to protect your skin from it all (A binder, a bag, your jacket, a hat,.. an umbrella perhaps), your nose is cold, and you can barely see 10 feet in front of you apart from any street lights around, when-

A car pulls up directly next to you. You have the horrible panicked moment of 'am i going to be kidnapped today', before you recognise the car and the side door is thrown open in front of you.

Your F/O gestures and/or calls for you to get in. They knew you would be out at this time (They're familiar with your basic schedule ^^), saw the downpour and thought immediately 'Oh shit wait, Y/N's out in this'- and came right over to get you out of it.

What's their car like? Is it sleek and well taken car of? Is it a regular old thing? Does it look like its gonna break down any time now?

Do they have a blanket for you to throw over your legs? Or do they throw you their coat??~~~

Do they enforce seat belts? Are they gonna refuse to go if you just pull the blanket over your shoulders and 'forget' (Or genuinely forget) to buckle up or will they lean over and buckle you themselves?

Are they taking you to your destination or are they taking you to their house because you need a hot shower and to get warm or you're gonna catch a cold? Are they kind about it or bossy? XD

Will they stop by a drive thru to get you something to eat and/or drink? Maybe something lovely and hot?? Or are you two the crazy people who eat ice cream when its cold 'cuz it wont melt'?

Possibly most importantly; Is their any chance that your F/O would kick you back out into the rain for any reason? XD
