❝ IT'S A NEW CHAPTER IN MY LIFE. ❞

What do you do after landing a lead role as Harry Styles love interest in a Marvel movie, designing with iconic brands like Gucci, and fronting countless magazine covers?

If you’re Y/n L/n, you simply pursue the next goal—which, in this case, involves making the world smile a little more. This fall, the distinguished actress releases her first studio album inspired by locations, lovers, and memories she holds dearly in her heart. It's a busy time of life, she admits, but a deeply fulfilling one. Today, we, Roseinc, jump on the phone with y/n l/n to catch up on life.

RI: Congratulations on your most recent role as Audrey Lorraines in ‘Call Me Back.’ The film follows the enemies-to-lovers trope, starring you and Harry styles. What was it like working with Styles?

L/N: Thank you, thank you! This is my second time working with Harry, the first being a Marvel film. Harry is magnificent. Though his acting career has just begun, he shows great potential and the passion and devotion he has to each character is admirable! He has such a magnetic presence, so alluring. Not to mention his kindness. He's hilarious and good at what he does. Hopefully, I get to work with him again.

RI: Not only is harry an actor he is also a singer, has his wisdom regarding music - and the industry - helping with your process of creating this upcoming album?

L/N: [giggles] I love how you speak about his music career second to his acting, like singing is a side hobby. We never really got into deep conversations mulling over my musical endeavors. He shared with me some advice and I appreciate it, but unfortunately we didn't speak much about it.

RI: It's so incredible how unique music is to every individual and what it evokes for each person. Wouldnt you agree?

L/N: Oh, absolutely! This morning, I put on one of my favorite albums and it reminded me of my second visit to London when I first met my husband. I mean, that's what I love about music—it does create such a vivid memory. If I listen to a certain song it reminds me of a time in my life, or project I've done or being at home with my family.

RI: Thats so powerful! Shifting gears, is there a favorite career moment that stands out to you?

L/N: I mean, there are so many. There are those moments where you're like, “How is this real? This is remarkable!” One of those was working with Gucci, which is obviously huge for me and my career and led me to a place where I can do more of what I love. Right now, it's a new chapter in my life where I get to be my own boss and create my own story.

RI: I bet you get asked all the time how you create balance between your career and family life. Do you think it's possible? How do you manage everything?

L/N: It's definitely a balance. I've gotten to a point in my life where I'm super blessed to work with companies that are really flexible with me and my time. I love working—and I think that's part of it, too, that I really do love what I do. So I make it work, you know?

❝ I'VE BECOME LESS WORRIED ABOUT LOOKING PERFECT—OR BEING PERFECT. ❞

RI: How has your view of beauty shifted over time?

L/N: I’ve become less worried about looking perfect or being perfect. I’m more comfortable being myself. There's this pressure when growing up to fit this box of “perfection”, especially in this world of social media where people are able to judge you so easily—and so openly. But now, I'm happy with myself.

RI: You're so Inspiring. I’ve got some fire questions for you. What was the last thing that you said yes to?

L/N: Chris [evans] asked me if I could dogsit for him, I said yes. You can't say no to dodger.

RI: What was the last thing you said no to?

L/N: Henry, my husband, tried - and failed - to steal some of my breakfast even though he had the same thing on his plate.

RI: When was the last time you felt that you were underestimated?

L/N: Probably when I said I could do my own stunts for a film and people didn't believe I could do it, proved them wrong.

RI: What will you never apologize for?

L/N: Being myself and loving myself.

RI: Which quality do you most admire about Henry?

L/N: His sense of Humor.

RI: Yes! Love a funny man! Well, Y/n, It's been wonderful spending this time with you. Thank you for sharing some of your wisdom with us.

To be able to watch arcticmonkeys create stunning stories, that truly capture every emotion they are trying to convey is beautiful. They have a way of pulling you from the darkness and then dropping you just long enough for you to almost hit the ground, then they pull you back up again. It’s surreal. These guys are.. for lack of a better word, crazy-stupid. They are out of their minds but that’s what makes what they do work so well.

My warning to you all about this record is, hold onto your heart for as long as you can because by the end you will fall in love like it was the first time. You don’t feel like it’s been a waste of your time, you feel like the music is a breath of fresh air, like you were drowning and it saved you. Only for it to kill you in the most poetic mess of a way. I hope you enjoy it when it all comes to fruition, until then.. much love!
