carliana's lack of conflict leaves me fairly uninterested in their relationship BUT. i have come to appreciate it in the context of hennessy. alone carliana are the kind of frictionless wlw that feel too sanitized to be real for me -- except then you introduce hennessy & the relationship takes on a whole new meaning. these two women as the only people hennessy has met who can trust & communicate with each other, who make hennessy feel safe even though they should be her mortal enemies, who help her dream in an instant just through being kind.... especially when you compare the messy desperation and antagonism of hennessy's relationships to ronan and bryde. she has been starving & that context turns carliana from a boring sidenote into a thematic centerpiece of hennessy's arc / the story as a whole. kindness and trust are what it's all about baybey!! community is forged through love and support!! genuine compassion beats hollow codependence every time!! you gotta get better if u wanna heal!! send post
