Cmon man….. I like the good doctor…. it is really poorly written but that boy (Good Doctor) is my friend….. Shaun…. he is an okay doctor, to be frank
I do NOT like Lea… I haven’t finished it yet but she is an enabler of bad behavior and also she just shows up wherever. I don’t like her as the love interest. I do not think she and Shaun have very good chemistry. I DO think Shaun and CARLY have very good chemistry and Carly should be a love interest…. He will throw a rock through her window❤️
I like Dr Glassman😊 He is like a Great Uncle to me

They Find You Hurt (The Good Doctor Preference)
Tumblr media
Audrey Lim: When Audrey finds you hurt, she’s going to want to know everything that happened and everything that led up to it. She wants to know what’s wrong and how she can fix it. It’s only later she thinks that maybe you just needed a little more comfort and a little less doctoring.
Carly Lever: Carly's first priority after finding you hurt is that you’re mentally okay. The pain is secondary. If you’re hurting emotionally, she’s going to be there for you as your physical wounds are being treated.
Morgan Reznick: Morgan would want to know who hurt you. It would be the first question out of her mouth. Of course, she’d make sure you were okay right after and patch you up. Only after you’d been seen to in the physical sense would she think to ask if you were okay emotionally.
Shaun Murphy: Shaun would go straight into doctor mode. He’d look you over for bruises and scrapes, and ask you what had caused your injuries. Then, once he made sure he had fixed all of your visible problems, he’d take a more caring manner and check on your well-being.

I am currently watching season 3 of The Good Doctor. For the record I have only watched the first seven episodes so far but is it just me or do Carly and Shaun have almost no chemistry? Shaun has/had a lot more chemistry with a lot of people and Lea is only one of them. Take Claire for example or even "Bubble Girl". Shaun and Carly's relationship just doesn't feel right to me.
This might be an unpopular opinion but it's still my opinion.

Shaun and Carly's relationship was super cute, and Carly was so patient and she's such an angel, and honestly she didn't deserve this.

The disrespect with Carly in that The Good Doctor trailer.
"I never knew I could fall in love until I met Lea" or whatever that bullshit was.
The Good Doctor tptb really said fuck them and their love for Carly and Melendez.

the good doctor's season 3 and 4 make me so mad, im just gonna rewatch season 2 and the first half of season 3 tbh, and i'm gonna pretend that shaun and carly are official, lea finds her work dream, claire and her mother are able to understand and communicate with each other, jared is back at the hospital OR constantly meets claire and shaun outside the hospital, lim and melendez are together and are able to go past all challenges at work, glassman gets his peace and are able to find happiness with his new companion + shaun, reznick and park being happy and get more character development,, and MORE. ARE THESE TOO MUCH TO ASK

I really like the development of Sharly
There's clear mutual sexual tension and desire between them and the way they've written it and the actors portrayal of it couldn't be any better

The Good Doctor: After a Needless Death and the Most Toxic 'Ship of All Prevailing, Will You Return for More?
Excerpt On Neil's Death:
Because the premature killing off of a character like Neil Melendez when there were a host of stories left to tell, and he had not tapped into his full potential yet was asinine.
It was strictly for shock value. Hey, congratulations! It got people talking (and none of it is pleasant), and it was shocking (shockingly bad). The death of a prominent character should do justice to that person. It should be as meaningful as it is tragic.
However, it's challenging to feel grief or sadness over Neil's death when all you can feel is anger and irritation.
To suggest that death was the only creatively feasible direction Neil Melendez's character could go with such gumption, you'd have to assert that Neil was a fully-developed character whose storylines and potential peaked.
Excerpt on Claire/Melendaire:
It's one more check on the list of ways this series has made Claire the "Charlie Brown" of The Good Doctor. Hell, the "Bonnie Bennett" for those familiar with The Vampire Diaries. Does anything ever go well for this woman? Can anything go well for her?
The series relies heavily on Claire going through the wringer without a payoff, and it's so redundant and disturbing it's actually getting uncomfortable. They rip stability from her at every turn.
After all, if you're keeping up, Claire has officially lost three people she cared about and loved in one season. It's the literal definition of overkill.
Excerpt on Limlindez:
They then resorted to a weak plot to drive the two of them apart, but it was never any real closure between them.
Ever since parting ways over hospital politics and power dynamics, every time Neil and Lim interacted, it was charged with emotion. The implication was that their relationship wasn't over.
Limlindez was a dangling loose thread that petered off into nothingness, in a way that was a disservice to their relationship.
Excerpt on Carly:
Carly went from having Shaun's interest to spending most of her relationship having Shaun compare her to Lea or feeling as though she was in this woman's shadow. Her insecurity overcame her, but could you blame her?
And if there was any doubt Carly's sole purpose was to be a starter girlfriend and a stepping stone, then Shaun seeking her out for advice on how to tell Lea he loved her clenched it.
It was the last we saw of Carly, and it was the end of her arc and Jasika Nicole's tenure on the series. It's a shame, since Carly was a delight as was Nicole even in the face of relentless harassment over the role.
It's enough to leave a bad taste in your mouth. But then, hasn't all of this had that effect?
