To cap off this pride month, a few of my queer headcanons for Carmen Sandiego (2019) characters!

I headcanon Player as a trans boy and Carmen as a trans woman! I also definitely think Carmen's sapphic but I don't have a more specific identity in mind for her.

Julia is a lesbian ofc. Her shirt is inspired by this retro lesbian shirt! If I had seen it before inking I would have made it an actual shirt with a collar and all but alas I saw it too late.

And I headcanon Devineaux as a trans man. His jacket was heavily based on this vintage jacket, obviously with the colors reworked. That's his new lucky coat probably.

(I have headcanons for other characters but since they're less fixed I won't talk about them here)

someone should write a carmen sandiego fic where everything takes place as normal except for the fact that carmens mom is a part of team red from the start.

imagine her scolding carmen for her lack of self-preservation during missions because she doesn't want to lose her daughter again. her never making fun of, in fact actively encouraging, zack's hunger because it just means she gets to cook more and he always gushes about how good her food is. her listening to ivy talk about a new upgrade for red drone she's been wanting to install despite her not understanding anything the red head says. her making sure player is taking care of themself and assuring them that the world isn't going to end if they take a break, because they're just a kid. they're all just kids that need a team mother figure. she doesn't get her own orphanage like she does in the actual series, but who needs an orphanage when you've got dumbass globetrotter children right here?

her being awkward co-parents with shadowsan because while yeah, he didn't actually kill her husband, he was originally the one sent to get a hit on him and the one who burnt his house down + the one who brought her daughter to an island of isolated criminals. she understands he's changrd but she's still... iffy, around him.

i would write this fic myself if i had the time, skills and motivation. unfortunately i have none of them.

Omg imagine Zack needs surgery and goes under anesthesia and when he wakes up he’s still a little loopy and his gf or just partner (reader) comes to take him back to HQ and he’s like “Omg I get to go home with this pretty lady?” and she’s taking care of him and talking to Ivy about how he wants to ask out the cute nurse who’s taking care of him at home.

hmggg imagine him waking up and not totally knowing where he is or who you are, but he feels safe nonetheless.

"woah..." he sighs with his face stuffed with cotton and numbing medicine.

"hi babe," you whisper softly. "how are you feeling?"

his nose crinkles juuuuuust slightly as he gives you the best smirk he can manage.

"betta' now that you're here." he'll laugh to himself at his smooth flirting, glad he could come up with that on the spot. it was a loud laugh however, and everyone is now giggling at his current state.

"good one." carmen praises out loud, but somehow zack misses it. he decides to keep staring at you, instead.

you sit next to him on the ride back to HQ, keeping an eye on him for his own safety (and for any goofy moments to tell him later). all the while he's pestering ivy, in the passenger seat, about why the nurse is coming back home with him? is his condition that bad, ivy? does the cute nurse like cars and pizza too?

Request: The smut request is for Carmen Sandiego where Carmen and fem!reader are going to a new coffee shop that opened up and they went and placed their order but while they are ordering the barista(female) was flirting with the reader(reader is oblivious) and Carmen got jealous but hide it. So after they got their order the barista handed reader a not that said “call me cutie” so Carmen took the note and ripped it up and grabbed reader hand taking her home after they got home Carmen showed reader who she belonged to.

You woke up with your girlfriend's arms around you,even when she slept she didn’t want to let you go. You rolled over to face her,she was fast asleep. Her hair was a mess and she was snoring slightly,you knew if you ever brought that up she’d deny it. You brushed a piece of hair behind her ear,but even that caused her to wake up.

“Good morning” She sat up,brushing the rest of her hair back. 

“Good morning,do you wanna do anything today or should we just stay in bed?”

“Wasn’t that new coffee shop opening today?”

“Do you wanna go?”

“If you come with me” She laughed and got up,pulling you out of bed as well.

As you stood in line she told you about her recent mission,you’d usually join her but you couldn’t for this one. You finally reached the front of the line and placed your order.

“What can I get you for you beautiful?” She winked at you,you felt Carmen’s grip get tighter on your hand. You turned to look at her,she was angry. Which scared you since you’ve never seen her upset,much less angry. You got your coffee,not noticing that something was written on it. You saw Carmen���s face change from anger to pure rage,but somehow she was calm. She grabbed your hand and didn’t let go until you got home.

“Carm?” Before you could get another word out,she had you pushed against the door. You had dropped the cup as she kissed your neck,stardeling you. Her lipstick already staining your neck.which was soon followed by her biting at your neck leaving hickeys all over. “Carmen” She bit down harder,making you throw your head back and moan. She picked you up,letting you wrap your legs around her waist. The next thing you knew,she had pushed you onto her bed. In seconds she had you both stripped down to nothing. It didn’t take long before she was pounding you,pulling your head back by your hair. She was still biting at your neck and you could hear her whisper something like ‘Mine’ over and over again. Who knew jealous Carmen would be so possessive,yet the second this was over she kept apologizing for the rest of the week.
