The indecisive heart

One Night, Carol left her notebook by accident in the libary and her friends found it... now it was her time to fess up about her crushes.

Lessons were over, the sun was slowly setting as Carol returned to her room. She sighed given a lot of stress was behind her and she could now slowly take a breather… but then she noticed something about her bag. It was gone… the notebook she kept about her relationships, feelings and thoughts… despair set in her heart and the stress was back. She hoped she locked the book and just left it accidentally in the Library… she was about to rush out her room but then… 

She noticed commotion in the dorm and every of her friends looking at her… she noticed Keres held that same notebook in her hand… she gulped in terror as the group heard suddenly a knock. 

"Hey Carol, ready for the Su… shi… oh.." 

Leroy barged in but seeing the tense situation and Carol's notebook both him and Lyla put two and two together… that her friend discovered her secrets..  that they looked into the book at least. 

"Carollie, Mellomar and I already went through our crushes… seems it's your turn now." 

"Can you at least tell me how you got the book?" 

Orion smirked. "You left it open in the Library, be lucky we found it." 

She was the most terrified of what Kirsten made out of what she read already but given the situation she couldn't back down… after all they read enough and it was only fair she gave them the whole picture. So she took a deep breath. 

"Lyla, Leroy… I am sorry but I won't come to Sushi night." 

Leroy had a snarky smile on his face as he and Lyla sat down and spoke up

"And you think we just leave… we know most of yours anyways and… this could be fun." 

Carol let out an exhausted sigh. If only today wasn't that loaded with work… if only the stress didn't make her forget it, then she wouldn't be in this situation. 

'But also maybe it does help talking about this to finally make a decision myself… ' she thought to herself.  The group of friends all settled down comfortable in the Ramshackle lounge. Orion seemed to keep the notebook a bit away from Melody,  Carol could guess why, Melanie instead tried to chat with her and Hinata a little while Keres and Kirsten looked at her with somewhat sharp eyes, Nyphy was looking curious at Leroy's tail while he and Lyla mumbled about how many they could guess. As Carol took a deep breath to brace herself for this. 

"You can ignore the first few pages, cause they are the only people that bother me." 

Hinata looked down as he read 3 names that were all too familiar with him, blushing a little as some of the others in the room looked at him worried or groaned. Carol gave a disappointed look as Kirsten spoke up.

“You should have just kicked Barry, then he wouldn’t bother you.”

“That's just not the person I am… anyways I just keep these few notes to avoid people that give me headaches so, moving on.”

She knew if they badmouthed them and lingered Hinata would feel bad so she quickly derailed the topic and tried to steer them to the first candidate.

“That one was an obvious one, it's Jamie.” Keres exclaimed pointing at the book. Melanie suddenly raised her head in surprise. “Really?! I didn’t expect you to like him too.”

“Wait… too?”

Melanie suddenly shut her mouth as if saying something she shouldn’t have said but Carol gave a satisfied nod and smile escaping her with a blush… as Kirsten coughed telling her to speak up subtly. Keres looked back at Mel.

“It was pretty obvious how she looked at him when he was training. Those eyes were staring.”

“Hey it's not only that!”

“I also saw her read a lot of books about Knights lately.” Melody smiled innocently as Carol looked back at the group. Leroy snickering in the back. 

“He is just… such a gentleman to me, he puts people that bother me in place, helps me when I struggle to get through Ace and Deuce, and just being close to him… it makes my heart race… and of course as you mentioned before he is very attractive to me as well. And well it's true those books might have given me a romanticized view of Knights too but just… seeing that smirk… having him near and eating something nice with him… “

She looked off dreaming a little as Orion stood up and gave her a pat on the back.

“T-that is all I wanna say about him, anyways moving on.”

“Hey Melody, can you get us some popcorn to snack on?” Orion exclaimed as Melody got up with a happy nod… Kirsten turned to the next page and looked serious at Carol.

“You know what we did this… why the hell is Melody's brother Rowan on here?”

Carol froze up…Leroy was about to say something as Kirsten gutted her elbow into his side. “Ouch.”

“I wanna hear it from her.”

“R-right… I didn’t want it to happen myself but… as I met him we got into talks about Flowers and I had some curiosities about certain types and its meaning, so I gave him my number and.”

“Bold Carollie… very bold.”

“I c-couldn’t help it… he has those soft eyes, this nice muscular body… this gentle nature I just… he was so sweet and I just felt more and more happy chatting with him.”

Orion laughed in the back a little as Melanie looked up at her with a smile.

“You seem to like him a lot though from how you talk… and I can get it, I love tending to flowers so it's nice to get to talk to someone.”

Hinata also nodded. “Also that blonde is a nice shade on him.”

Carol nodded with a smile. “Around him I just feel I can nerd about plants and he listens to me… as well as the flowers I got from him… I keep them dear. “

Kirsten groaned. “Urgh just move on. I don’t wanna sit here forever.”

Melody came in with the bucket and looked at the group. 

“Did I miss something?”

“Nothing important, you wouldn’t know the person anyways.”

As she said that she could feel some judgemental stares from Keres and Kirsten at her before they turned the page.

This time Melanie looked in first.

“Oh Jonas is a sweetheart, I can get you with that.”

Keres tilted their head. “But you do know that he is- Ouch my boob.”

Kirsten left a swift punch at them as if to tell Carol to continue as she pressed her fingers together.

“Yes I know and I don’t care. He brought me happiness not only by bringing me back to Piano and so honoring my friend Eve who is not here, he was nothing but a cute and sweet guy that I just love being around… “

Melody clapped her hands and smiled. “Seeing you next to each other also gives me those wholesome couple vibes.”

Carol blushed a little hearing that… Most looks at her were in approval as she carried on.

Orion tilted her head. 

“Do any of you guys know this Vigil guy?”

Lyla spoke up. “Even Leroy and I haven’t seen him yet, we at first thought she imagined him up.”

Keres perked their head up. “I do remember Carol telling me about him after I ran away from Achilles that he saved her from an attack but… that is all I know about him… can you tell us more?”

“It's a bit complicated to explain myself… he is somewhat of a guardian angel… and I mean he literally is an angel… I can’t even choose when I get to see him, he just appears, gets me out of an uncomfortable situation and has to leave again… yet… that he goes out of his way to help me and to see him like that… it does make my heart race.”

“Yes she became crazy…” Kirsten sighed. “I AM NOT.”

Melanie spoke up. “She really isn’t… I saw by accident how something like that happened and he is real…”

“Good… cause I actually thought sometimes if I dreamt him up…”

Nyphy spoke up. “So you fell for someone you literally don’t even know exists?”

Carol sighed… “Did you ever feel something if you read a book and liked a character so much you swooned for him… anyways let's just drop this all I can say is… if he is real or not… I just appreciate all he does and… I wish I could see him more often.”

Suddenly as Keres turned the page they started blushing.

“No way, you too?”

“What is Keres?” Melody tilted her head.

Melanie looked over. “Oh my…”

“Not only does she also have Jesh on her list just like me… but Lustre and Maya are right after.”

Carol hid her face red in shame before speaking up.

“L-Listen… as I often went to the mansion to tutor Sin the three made me feel a bit homey there… I just find all three very attractive… even if Jesh’s attitude goes on my nerves… that is all, nothing more nothing less.”

As she tries to defend herself Leroy smirks as well as Orion mumbling while Lyla just avoids her face, mainly because she actually knows what has been going on in Carol's head.

“It's probably also for dir-”

Before Leroy could speak up, Lyla scruffed him by his neck as if to tell him to be quiet.

Looks were exchanged as Carol just grew in red panic and mess before them.

“It's mainly just Lustre and Maya treating me well and making me comfortable and weak, Jesh is just literally his attractiveness that draws me to him… that is my honest opinion, c-can we move on?” Keres nodded in approval as with a smile as the rest turned the page.

Melody looked curious as she pointed at a page.

“Kalida… isn’t he from Scarabia?”

“Doesn’t he have stitches on his mouth, what is up with that?”

Carol cleared her throat. 

“It is because he is part Naga… He may seem intimidating to many but getting to know him… he is to me very sweet and just misunderstood. “

“Wait, so does that mean he is Venomous?” Keres asked.

“Lennox is too and he seems to swirl around both Melody and Melanie so hush. I met him in the library and even if he is less on the talkative side, there is something charming about him… I feel he deserves love but doesn’t get it much. And his flute playing also calms me a lot.”

Orion snickered. “Something tells me you will have a lot of tall monsters on your list.”

“You… would be right in that regard but… to sum it up… I just care about Kalida a lot and hope he gets accepted more…”

Suddenly Melody looked a bit confused. 

“Carol what is this “potential” thing that is next to the name?”

"Oh! Those are people that I don’t have  an actual crush on but are close to me. It could be that I have feelings but don’t realize them.”

Keres suddenly seemed more awake and looked over the book.

“No way then… then Henry Lakeside is-”

Suddenly Leroy spat the Soda he was drinking and Carol looked away from him.

“NO WAY YOU WROTE DOWN MY BOSS! WHY DIDN’T YOU TELL ME?”

“Cause I knew you would react that way? And as said I wrote him down as potential, I could be wrong but I do like a lot about him.”

Lyla tried to calm Leroy down but he still talked. 

"She deserves far better than this stuck up ass rich man. "

Carol coughed fakely as if to tell him to shut Up and he did. 

"The reason I put him here is I do enjoy spending time with him. I often worry about him overworking as well as… He does look handsome and also treats me well in regards with respect and helping me as well. I feel close to him." 

"Tch… it just makes me sick… his family can be so corrupt and you're just not… fine I will be quiet. "

The other girls looked more in understanding while Leroy grumbled away as Lyla noticed something.

"Why is there an arrow to the next site?" 

Carol nodded as if realizing something. 

"Well… I met Nauwe thanks to Henry… and he does seem to have interest in him as well…" 

Keres chuckled. 

"You as well think about I can take them both-"

Once again Kirstens annoyed stare shut them up as they sat down. 

"IT'S NOT THAT…I compared Henry to actually having a crush on him…he and his culture are very fascinating…and-"

"Isn't that also a guy who walks around Shirtless 24/7?"

"Keres,you can't talk."

"You two are so predictable…" 

For once both Carol and Keres shrugged at the same time as Melanie and Melody laughed a little… the previous tense mood lifted and Leroy calmed down as they continued. 

"Anyways another thing you will not only notice with Nauwe but with some others on this list is… I also am interested in learning other languages to understand people. More and… there is something that sends shivers down my spine when someone attempts to court someone like that."

"You probably brought that up because of Esca right?" 

Melanie had the book in her hand and asked. 

"Y-yes… the way he pins me to the wall… the way he calls me Mi Amor… I am just- "

"Urgh we get it, keep it in your panties. "

Kirsten snapped at her as Carol tried to dust off something from her skirt and continued..

"It's not only that… just seeing how he takes care of his cats is precious… the way he always gives off this gentle aura… I just feel swoon by it.”

Orion leaned back and grabbed some popcorn into her mouth. 

“Dang, some of the other picks seemed more exciting.”

“What did we expect from Miss Righteous?”

“Trust me, I saw some interesting things Carollie put here…”

As Keres smirked Carol shortly worried what they meant and continued.

“And on that topic, who I put under potential was also Azure… I met him in RSA when I was on my way to teach Fabio under a tree and even though I do care a lot about him as a friend… Yuuta tries to set us up as a couple and it doesn't help."

"It's good he is out currently…" 

"If he was here I knew he would just shut down any of my other crushes and push for the ones profitable to him." 

Melanie spoke up after Carol complained.  

"But you do actually feel something for him or else you wouldn't have put him In here." 

"Yes I do enjoy Azure's company a lot and when he is near me… but just a lot makes me unsure… For one I don't wanna give Yuuta the satisfaction of thinking he got us together and I also don't even know if Azure would be interested in me romantically." 

Melody and Melanie put a Hand on her shoulder.

"You can always try asking him… subtly." 

"Maybe… let's move on, we still have lots to go through."

As the next topic was brought up someone wanted to actually get out of his room but stopped as he overheard the conversation.  

"Des, huh Is it alright to even talk about him when he is here in the dorm." 

Carol played with her hair and blushed. 

"I think the walls are thick enough for him to not hear us. But well … aside from him helping me with that wayfinder I wanted to make, he is just to me very supportive… he has that charm about him and the times he complimented me as being his model for drawing makes me happy." 

"What I learned today is that Melanie, Keres and Carol are all blind to people liking them back." 

"Huh?!" 

As Kirsten said that bluntly all three looked confused at her as Carol explained herself. 

"I just wanna be sure and don't interpret any kindness in that. But anyways… Des is just a person I can always rely on to feel well around."

From the previous door Des closed it to not give away he heard their whole conversation… This was his secret for now… as the girls moved on.

Keres chuckled reading the next name. 

"Well this one has an obvious crush on her from what I saw…" 

"Oh Punch, isn't he in Kirstens dorm?" 

"I don't pay attention to some nerds." 

As Leroy heard her say that annoyed, he somewhat looked down. 

Melody asked her more about it. 

"Punch to me is somewhat of a buddy… we are in the board game club together and I get along with his sister well too… yet I only put him under potential because we are that close. But you really think he has a crush on me." 

"Carollie… it is way too obvious… he always hides that blush around you." 

"I-I see… I never thought people would actually be liking me this much…"

In particular Leroy, Nyphy and Kirsted stared at her judgy while Hinata chuckled.  

"That you get so many following you and being close to you is proof enough."

Orion laughed."If we went by that, Keres would be popular just cause so many people chase them but that is not the case."

Keres sighed as Carol let out a chuckle. 

"Either way, Punch is a sweetheart but seems often a bit too wholesome that I feel I would overwhelm him so…"

"Wait, I thought you would stay away from Kombatra at all cost, why is Kaminari on this list?" Melanie seemed confused. She was often visiting Kierron there so she must know.

"I met him outside the dorm and we often drink tea together… he allows me to watch him train and I often join him too. He has… this very soothing aura to me and…. His eyes are really beautiful. I just feel not only safe around him… I feel like thanks to him I grow a lot myself too.”

“Angels, Deities, you really don’t shy away from anything.”

“Come to think of it, she has many long living people on her list, you know they will probably outlive you.”

“That is a risk I am willing to take… if it's to be with someone I care a lot about.”

As she said that so determined many gave her a light smile however Melanie seemed the most happy about her choices.

“But I did see how you are next to him, it feels like you are far less stressed and just happy… so I can see why he somewhat became a safespace for you.”

With a determined smile she nodded yet Lyla spoke up.

“I think we are halfway there right, who is next?”

Eventually a sigh escaped Keres as they read the next name.

“Not you too… you also have a crush on Florence like Melanie….”

Carol flushed a little and put her finger together as Leroy spoke up.

“Oh that guy often went to our Sushi nights. I remember, today he said he was busy with the infirmary.”

“Florence not only helps me with my curiosity about medicine and getting better at taking care of others, it's so nice of him to often check up on me and see that I don’t overwork myself… “

“If that is what you care for, she does that often also if you don’t want it.”

“Keres!” Melanie looked at them as they sighed.

“I am sorry but I just really can’t stand it, It always feels so off.”

“That is fine, you don’t have to like him, but I really adore how sweet he can be with his comments and how well he reacts to praise… it's cute to make him blush.”

Melody chuckled. “He really is cute, I understand.”

Keres laughed at the next choice.

“Guess many of us can agree on Daido but I am surprised… you do know he does cause a lot of destruction right?”

This was the first time Carol actually stood in silence searching for an explanation but then she spoke up.

“I feel he needs someone to be there to calm him and take care of him… he always seems so tired… as well as he has Kimi to take care of. “

“‘I can fix him’ mentality huh… but I can understand you crushing on him, have you seen his body?”

Kirsten once again punched the back of the head from Keres to keep them from speaking, visibly tired from listening to this… 

“Given he is already pretty popular I hardly think I have a chance but… That doesn’t stop me from maybe having some hopes… and I do also enjoy just helping him out with school work.”

Melody got curious, flipping the page.

“But you noted Raede as well?”

As the group looked into the book they gasped a little, Kirsten having a small smirk that already bodes terrible to her too.

“Dos of all people too… you really are after Single fathers huh? Isn’t he also the one who beat up someone till he was bloody?”

“I never said my taste is perfect… but I still have people on my list that have the potential to change or just didn’t murder anyone.”

“You never know-”

Melanie tried to break up the commotion by commenting.

“Anyways, can you tell us why you like them?”

“Right… Raede in all not only that I take care of Raysel, he is very sweet in giving me flowers, as well as often spending time with him in the greenhouse and talking about some Romance stories is calming… even if I myself also have fallen for Daido, I feel Raede also deserves more people who appreciate him. Dos meanwhile… I did go for an exchange to DAC where two of my crushes came from and just seeing those big eyes look at me as I played with trinity and told something about me, he seemed a very sweet listener even if a bit odd.”

“To me this only sounds you are into di-”

“Tch…” Leroy shivered as Kirsten had this glare at him again.

“Alright I stop before Kirsten punches me again.”

“So let me guess, Parker also started a crush from  that exchange?”

Hinata sighed as he looked at the picture they had as Kirsten gave him a punch in the arm. 

“We get it if you like blondes… Carol, do you even know anything about this man?”

“Not much actually… but the time I was at the exchange program… there was just something about him that drew me in… he watched out for me… he did also show me how to use a gun a little…”

“And you didn’t ask yourself that it's odd that he knows very well how to use one?” “Kirsten… he is from a combat school.”

“So you know him well Kirsten?” Melanie asked.

“I heard rumors… he is polite I must admit but… I would watch out.”

Carol gave a nod. “If I ever feel unsafe I will back off.”

“Tch you all are pathetic and hopeless with your crushes really.”

She sat back and drank some soda as Leroy watched her curiously, Lyla sighing next to him.

“Explain to us more why you have not one but two Vampires on your list?”

Keres pointed to the pages of Damien and Daniel next to another.

“Come on you say that like you don’t stare at Alucard a lot despite him being hella intimidating.”

“This is about you, not me.”

Carol sighed and suddenly flushed red thinking about the both.

“Damien is to me just very much like one of the book protagonists I would fall for… how many times he pulled me to the side and protected me…Those red striking eyes that looked at me in interest, he often also catched my fall… hah…there is something very attractive about him.

Daniel on the other hand… I managed to help him with his troubles through training.”

“I saw this ‘training’ . It seemed more like a free pass to stare at him.”

“It's more so I try to understand him more, but you would also be right that he does often get me a little more to be a mess, often his comments make me slip up and make me blush like crazy… but it's more so me wanting to guide him to a better life you could say… ignoring my crush… I do want to make his life better than what I feel he went through.”

Melody jumped up. “And you wouldn’t mind becoming a Vampire from them as well?”

“I am… unsure but maybe… I know when it comes to blood I am more worried but… if it means staying longer with them, I would.”

The Group went silent, some in concern, others smiling at her… mixed reactions all around as she quickly tried to get back.

“Um l-let's just move on for now.”

“For fucks sake, you have Watson on this list…”

Kirsten gritted her teeth in annoyance.

“I know he seems odd but there is something charming about his oddness… he is also pretty romantic which I enjoy. “

Orion chuckled. “I feel Kirsten is more annoyed cause he attempted to give her a rose too and she punched him in the gut in return.”

"Oh, really?"

Kirsten grumbled a little as Leroy spoke up.

“I did hear that he seemed to be a former delinquent… at least Greg mentioned something.”

“The past is the past, the times I met him he was just very much someone charming. I also did talk to him and it seems more like his brother's influence…”

“Can we just fucking move on… I get tired hearing about him.”

“Wait, aren’t Adam and Terry your students? And isn’t Adam a prince?”

Melody shouted excited…

“I wonder why you even have Terry on the list when he is just staring at your chest a lot…”

“I noticed, don't worry…  but there is more to that… let me just.”

She took a bottle of water and drank from it because she had been talking for a while.

“Terry is one of my hard to get something done with students… but he also is often in the Library as I am so it feels comfortable to just chat a lot… he did also offer to help me get better at running and so I tutor him a lot. I put him under potential cause again… in that regard I feel he likes me more than I like him but that could change… there is something about him that often makes it hard for me to refuse things or want to spend time with him.”

Keres chuckled. “It's the wolf's eyes, cause I remember you mentioned on the page with Jesh too that you get weak when they use their eyes on you.”

Quickly she grew bright red. “H-Hey no fair you remember that!”

She tried to calm down and went back to talking.

“Adam on the other side is one of my hardest working students and I notice that… I am also just happy that he often does enjoy my failed food experiments and eats them happily. But I think the reason I mainly like him is… it's really uncomplicated to just talk to him about things and he is always so kind to me. And even if others find some of his puns or flirt attempts odd, I actually find them entertaining.”

“Be glad you found a dumpster for that horrid food, I mean didn’t the last one you made move.”

“Kirsten!” 

As she shrugged Nyphy looked in horror… “It really did look scary.”

Carol looked down… but then suddenly had an idea.

“Well there are actually two people who help me improve that and are also on this list… Adam is also one but… Ronald also helps me a lot to improve.” 

“I feel half of your picks on crush are either just normal guys or monsters.”

Melody smiled after Orion said that.

“Oh I remember this guy,  the treats that dorm makes are amazing.”

Carol nodded approvingly.

“He noticed once that I had struggled with cooking and since then I just enjoyed chatting with him, even if it often seems he scolds me a lot for wanting to do too much at once. I appreciate just him being there talking to me as well as listening to him teach me how to prepare some dishes.”

“Then you should chat less and focus more on what he is teaching you or else you will create more blobs.”

Some giggles went around the room as Hinata spoke up.

“It can't be that bad.”

“How about you try one then?”

Carol sighed and took some purple taffys that looked like they were breathing out of her pocket. Hinata gulped but then ate some of them, humming happy.

“They taste good, I don’t know what you guys mean.”

Carol's eyes lit up in happiness as the rest of the group sighed… 

“Only 3 pages left it seems, let's just finish this off.”

Leroy suddenly perked up.

“No way, Sawyer… I only heard about him from Gregory and he seemed grumpy and scaryas I saw him.”

“Well that sounds up Carollies taste from what we saw for sure.” Keres said a bit teasingly. 

Carol adjusted her glasses and cleared her throat again.

“He is part of the Kendo club, you might have seen him as well Keres, given you know Nanoya.”

“I don’t see half of these other members.”

The group went silent. Carol just tried to continue the conversation.

“Sawyer does have a tough shell… to many he may seem mean but I seen more behind it, at first I also thought he just disliked anyone but… getting to know him and having the chance to see him more… he actually does care and he actually did help me a lot despite me not asking him too…  I still can’t tell if I even have a chance at him but… I at least wanna try to know why he is like that and be there for him as well.”

“Just don’t get your hopes up too much, Carol… Greg said he basically doesn’t talk to any of his dorm members… however this means at least.. maybe it's a good thing you can talk to him.”

Lyla took the book and went to the next page.

“So about Cho-hee?”

Keres suddenly perked up again.

“I totally understand her with that actually. He is a cutie.”

Orion looked in the group. “He is in my dorm, I wanted to fight him a lot and always found a way to dodge me.”

“I am glad you didn't. I feel lots of people also just dismiss him because of those scars when a heart of gold is under there.”

“You really are into scars in general huh… many of your pics have them.”

“Maybe… I want to mend them… make them better. But that is not the point here… just having Cho-hee around…I feel happy. Especially when he gets embarrassed and tries to hide his face… it's just the sweetest. “

“You really have something for sea creatures too huh?”

“THIS ISN’T ABOUT MY TYPE.”

She sighed and took the notebook back from the girl's hands into hers.

“So lastly is Emrys, a powerful magician, very easy to talk to and he does his best to teach me about things I didn’t know.”

“So you two basically are teaching each other?” Melody asked as Carol nodded.

“And another likely ancient guy to her pile too.”

She sighed hearing the comments and tried to calm.

“I don’t only like him because of that, the things he can do are impressive, he is often there to just answer my questions and support me, as well as keep an eye out for anything he can help me with. I enjoy his company a lot.”

“You really are in some regards a hypocrite Carol.”

Keres chuckled a little as Carol got pouty.

“Excuse me, but at least I did not name some obvious murderers or people that are just bad news all around.”

Kirsten seemed tired and got up as Leroy and Lyla looked at the time.

“Midnight… guess we really did talk long.”

“Can I please ask them not to touch my notebook? Yes it will get longer but it is actually my private space to get my thoughts off and in order.”

Orion smirked. “We can’t make any promises.”

And so Orion, Hinata, Kirsten and Nyphy left for their dorms. Leroy and Lyla put a smile on and looked at her.

“I still don’t like that you do like my boss but… ugh I guess I gotta accept it.”

“Just be careful about your decision, we don’t want you to get hurt.”

“I know… I can rely on you two.. and Lyla I know I can tell you anything.”

“I am glad I knew most of this and you did tell me a lot, or else I would have worried you don’t trust me as your friend.”

Both of them left as well only for her to sit with Melanie and Melody.

“That was brave of you Carol to tell so much about them.”

“I know Kirsten will use it against me but… better to be proud of it now and be called a Hypocrite than never talking about it at all… maybe this night helped me to make a decision.”

“It's just good to see so many people care about you.”

Melody finished the last of the popcorn and then asked something.

“Actually, who was the person I missed during the talks?”

Suddenly Carol grew in panic again.

“Um I feel a bit tired, hope you don’t mind me going to sleep, good night.”

She clung onto her notebook and rushed off to her room… sighing in relief this was all over.

A faint smile was painted on his lips as he sighs barely:

"I'm the one who's a trouble for others."

He tried to joke, but he wasn't sure he could allow it.

"You are always so gentle to me. You shouldn't worry so much, not about me."

His hand went up to the girl's face.  He hesitated, afraid to touch her, as if even his presence could hurt her. But then, gently, his palm rested on her cheek, and he smiled at her, even though Kalida didn't know if his smile was worth anything.

Big Wolf on Campus fanfic. Merton x OC. [Tommy also gets some pairings.]

Chapter Summary: Tommy and Merton hang out alone during the full moon while Kalida goes camping, but when Tommy goes to check on her as the wolfman, both cousins' secrets come out.

Chapter 6: Secrets

After school Friday afternoon, Kalida packed up the camper with all her gear for a weekend in the woods. When she was confident she hadn't forgotten anything, she headed back inside and leaned into Tommy's room.

"Ready to go to Merton's?" Tommy slung his backpack over his shoulder. It was the full moon that night, and as usual he was spending the night at his friend's to avoid being found out. "Yeah. I even found my Jackie Chan DVD's." Kali snorted. "I'm sure he'll be thrilled to hear that." He made fighting gestures and whooshing sounds on their way down the hall.

Tommy rode shotgun in Betsy on the way, messing with the radio. "Say, Tommy, um…" Kalida shifted awkwardly. "You know the Pleasantville Werewolf…?" Tommy made a show of rolling his eyes. "Don't worry, it's just a stupid urban legend. Don't let Merton convince you otherwise. He just has an overactive imagination."

"Oh, um." She gripped the steering wheel. "Right. I guess I just let the stories freak me out," she forced a nervous laugh as they pulled up behind the Dingle house. "I'm sure you won't get mauled by any monsters in the woods." Tommy hopped out, but held the door open. "Did you wanna come in for a bit?"

"Nah, that's okay." She smirked. "Unless you boys wanna come camping with me instead." Tommy laughed, shaking his head. "Gotta have our guy time." "Alright," she shrugged. "Go have fun alone with your boyfriend." He sneered, but blew her a kiss on his way to the Lair's entrance.

Kalida shuffled her tarot cards. The picnic table at her camp site was covered with a blue altar cloth, a handful of crystals, and an incense holder with a lit stick. She reflected on her weeks in Pleasantville. She had never expected anything like what she'd seen with Merton and the wolf man. She felt uneasy as she pulled the Tower card.

I wish I didn't have to keep all of this from Tommy. She sighed as she shuffled again. No, if I'm honest, I'm wondering if he's keeping it from me.

She pulled the High Priestess next.

If she thought about it, Merton was always with either Tommy or the Wolf Man. She'd never seen Tommy and Wolfy at the same time, and Tommy had a knack of disappearing when things got weird. On top of that, Merton said he'd only been dealing with weird stuff since the new school year, and Tommy never mentioned Merton before now. But was it really possible that her golden-boy cousin was a werewolf? Why wouldn't he tell her at this point? Did Merton know? Was he lying to her?

Her final card was the Lovers, inverted.

"Well that's encouraging," she sighed sarcastically.

Tommy mashed the buttons on his controller, wolfed out from the moon. They were playing old games on Merton's Super Nintendo. "Hey I never told you before-" "Don't distract me!" Merton leaned sideways, pressing buttons frantically. Tommy smacked Merton's chest. "This is serious, just listen."

He rolled his eyes and paused the game. "What serious thing do you need to tell me four hours into our hangout?" Tommy put his controller down. "Kali asked me about the Wolf Man." Merton perked up, raising a brow. "Oh? What did she say?" "W-well, not much. I told her it was an urban legend." Merton smacked his forehead. "Just tell her." "You know I can't, Merton." "You told Carole Lefevre after knowing her for like three days." "She's a cat girl! She can't out me because then I could out her." "She's your cousin, Tommy. She's not going to sell you out to werewolf hunters." He looked off, distracted, smirking to himself. "Although the going rate for werewolf parts is surprisingly high now that the syndicate's been taken down." "Merton."

He shook his head, putting his hands up reassuringly. "Regardless. Kalida's been helping with the wolf stuff and hanging out with us tons. She's got your back both ways. It's only logical that she'd be fine with you being the werewolf." Tommy hummed. "You're probably right." Merton nodded to himself. "I often am, yes." Tommy got up and stretched. "What are you doing?" "I'm gonna go tell her I'm the werewolf." "Right now? What about Mortal Kombat?"

Tommy sprinted across town and up the mountain to the camp grounds. Hiding in the shadows and trees, he tracked her scent until he could make out the white camper through the brush. From behind a nearby tree, he spotted her, sitting cross-legged on a blanket near the fire pit.

He stepped out into the clearing and saw that she had various other items on the blanket with her; a circle of candles, incense and crystals. The kind of stuff Merton might have. Kalida squeaked in surprise when she heard footsteps behind her, spinning around. "W-wolf man," she breathed, holding something against her chest. "You startled me."

"What've you got there?" He pointed at her hands, then to the items on her blanket. "Oh, I-" she tucked her hair behind her ear, then opened her hands enough to show him the knife she was holding. "This is an athame. But don't touch it, it's silver." "A silver dagger," Tommy raised his eyebrows and nodded as he took a step back. "Interesting." "It's just for spell work." She grabbed a stack of flash cards from the blanket and held them up. "I moved here partway through the school year, so I was doing a spell to help with my grades."

Tommy slowly walked around so that he was on the other side of the fire from her. From there he could see that she had laid her textbooks out in front of her as well. "I didn't know you were a witch." "Well we've… never really talked?" Kalida felt uneasy. If he's Tommy, then now Tommy knows I'm a witch, which Uncle Bob won't like. If he's not Tommy, he might think I'm one of the things he has to fight. She gripped the athame. "Right. I guess we haven't." Tommy paced, unsure now if he wanted to tell her his secret or not. She has a silver knife in her hands. "I usually just leave you with Merton when it's all over."

"I-is he okay?" He could smell the concern coming off of her now. It made him a little relieved to know she was worried about his best friend. Maybe he was just overthinking things because he hadn't expected her to be a witch. He waved his hands dismissively. "Oh, yeah, he's fine." "Is there... something happening?" Tommy shook his head. "No, nothing's happening. I just went for a run and… I didn't expect to see you, uh, spell… ing…"

"O-oh." She licked her lips, barely able to keep eye contact. "W-well I am." "Right." Tommy rubbed the back of his neck. "Well, I guess I should let you get back to it-" "Wait!" She stood up suddenly, making Tommy back away. "I wanted to ask you, um…" She trailed off, glancing at his fighting stance. "I'm not gonna hurt you."

Tommy lowered his arms, feeling embarrassed. "Oh. Reflexes." Kalida carefully put the athame at her feet and stood back up. "Right. Um, what I wanted to ask was… Do you know me? Like, do we know each other, when you're not-" "I should go." Tommy bolted from the campsite and ran through the forest.

When he finally stopped to catch his breath, he kicked the tree he was leaning against. "Stupid!"

Tommy snuck back into Merton's room, locking the door behind him. "There you are!" Merton looked up hopefully from his bed. He was sprawled out reading Darkest Goth magazine, kicking his legs behind him. "How'd it go?" "I ran away like a baby." Merton laughed, shaking his head. "What? Why?" "I just got so… caught off guard." Tommy flopped down on the couch and ran his hands over his face. "When I got there she was doing some kind of studying spell, and holding a silver knife, and-"

"Slow down," Merton joined him on the couch. "She was doing a spell?" Merton tried to wrap his head around Kalida being a witch. She hadn't said anything about it, but he supposed she hadn't said anything to deny it either. "Yeah!" he gestured emphatically. "I didn't even know she was a witch! And I was so surprised, I didn't know what to say anymore. So I tried to leave, and then she asked if we knew each other, when I'm not wolfed out." "She asked you? So then, you told her." "No, I panicked!" He threw his hands up. "I mean, she had a silver knife, and she had all this witch stuff around her," he drew a circle with his paws. "I didn't know what to say, so I bolted and came back here."

Merton sighed and relaxed against his seat. "She's probably a wiccan or something. I bet that's what she was hiding in the camper this whole time." "But why hide that?" "She said that your dad told her not to bring hippie garbage into the house." "What? She never told me that." "She might have thought you'd judge her for it? Like you're doing right now?" Tommy rolled his eyes, but looked away pouting. "Maybe."

"I think it's kind of cool. What if she's a really powerful witch and can do spells to fight vampires-" "Like the movie rental guy!" "Tommy," Merton groaned. "Trevor is not a vampire!"

The next night, Kalida pushed a log deeper into the fire, sitting alone at her campsite. The sun was long down, stars piercing the indigo sky above her. Despite the warmth of the blaze, she had wrapped a thick wool blanket around herself.

I wonder if Wolfy will come back tonight…

She perked at the sound of gravel crunching down the road and noted the headlights' glow through the trees. She was momentarily afraid when the vehicle backed into her site, but when it parked, she recognized the back end of the large black car. "Merton?" She walked over as he stepped out. "Hey. I brought dessert." He held up a bag of marshmallows, offering her a hopeful smile. "Um, cool." She rubbed the back of her neck. "I wasn't expecting you." "Wolfy told me you were up here, and I thought you might like some company." He gestured at the hearse. "I can leave if I'm intruding."

She rolled her eyes and took the bag of marshmallows from him. "Don't be stupid." He grinned and followed, joining her on the log by the fire. Soon they were both holding sticks over the fire.

"What did he say about last night?" "Wolfy?" Merton turned his stick slowly. "Just that he saw you up here by yourself." "I think he might have gotten the wrong idea…" Merton cleared his throat, glancing away. "Well, he may have mentioned you were doing some kind of spell or something." "I'm not one of your monsters-of-the-week you have to worry about, if that's what you're getting at." "I didn't think you were." Merton met her gaze in the soft firelight.

"It was just a spell for school. There are lots of pagans, you know. Even in the States." "Not judging." Merton put his hands up defensively. "You just never talk about it." She snorted. "I think I did, actually? And I made you a protection charm. Did you think I was a Jehovah's Witness?" He gave a sideways nod. "I hadn't really put it together."

"So that's it, then? You just came up to confirm that I'm not a card carrying Christian?" "No." He pulled his marshmallow off the stick, having burnt half of it by accident. "I thought it would be fun to camp out with you." "I didn't really think it was your style." "Well it's no haunted castle, but with the right people…" She pulled a layer of marshmallow off her stick and popped it in her mouth as she held the leftover goop back over the flames.

"For the record," Merton offered, "I'm not a Christian either." She glanced over at him. "Are you pagan?" "I'm not really anything. I mean, I've tried my hand at magic a few times, but it tends to backfire on me." Kalida laughed. "Mostly it's just prayers with props." She fiddled with her roasting stick. "I have been trying to do actual magic lately, though. I thought maybe I could help better with the wolfy stuff." "How's that been going?" She shrugged. "Nothing to report yet." "Oh." He rubbed the back of his neck. "Sorry to disappoint you."

"No! Not at all." He watched the fire. "I really did want to see you. Last night with Tommy was fun, don't get me wrong. But there were a few times when I wished you were with us. I guess I've gotten used to having you there." "You two have a different kind of friendship than you and I do." Merton glanced her way, swallowing softly. "How so?" "Well, you two are both guys. You have a… guy thing going on." She gestured awkwardly. "And when Tommy's around we can't talk about the wolf stuff. So it's like… your friendship with him is more normal." "Normal," Merton wheezed. "Right."

"You know what I mean. You two are best friends." "It might surprise you to hear this, but… Tommy was my only friend before you came to town." "What about Wolfy?" Merton winced and gave an awkward cough. Wolfy, right. "That's more of a business relationship."

"Well… it might surprise you to hear this, but you and Tommy are my only real friends right now. And Tommy's my cousin, so I'm clearly a social butterfly." "Everyone seems to like you at school, though." "I'm just popular because I'm a Dawkins." "You're popular because you're beautiful."

She looked away, trying to hide the burning in her cheeks. Merton cleared his throat, rubbing his hands on his pants. "That didn't come out right." "So I'm not beautiful." "No! You are." He forced eye contact. "You're perfect."

"Merton, I'm not perfect." She ran a hand through her hair. "I feel like I'm expected to be. But I can't. Tommy's captain of the football team, my uncle's the mayor, my aunt is a news anchor, and I'm just… in the way." "That's not true. If anything I'd say Dean's in the wa-" "My parents just left me here."

The sudden pain in her voice made him freeze. She stared into the fire, eyes wet. "I only had half a year of school left, and instead of graduating with my childhood friends, where I grew up, I was dumped on my uncle who hates me."

"You didn't want to move," he realized. "With how easy going you've been, I just assumed you were okay with it." "What was I supposed to say?" Tears spilled over her cheeks. "No, don't move for work? I'd rather be homeless than live with my aunt and uncle?" She wiped at her face. "I should be happy they even took me in."

Merton took a deep breath and reached over to rub her back slowly. "If it's any consolation, I for one am glad you moved here. We wouldn't have met otherwise." She sniffed and looked over at him. "That's true." She inched closer to him on the log and hugged him. "Thanks Merton." He wrapped his arms around her. "If you ever feel lonely or… anything, you can call me. I promise I have no social life." She laughed against him. "Tommy was right about you." "He told you of my disrepute?" "He said you were a really good friend"

Merton smiled bashfully to himself. "Aww. That's nice to hear." "To be honest, if it wasn't for you two, I might have left by now." Merton pulled back slightly, furrowing his brow. "Left?" "Sure, it's every teenager's dream, isn't it? Pack up in the camper and take off." She smirked. "I hear you can live in Walmart parking lots down here." His eyes were wide. "What about school? Aren't you going to apply to college or university?"

"I didn't mean it seriously." "Good." He smiled crookedly, smoothing his thumb over her cheek. "I'd have to tell Wolfy to track you down." She forced her breath to remain steady as he wiped the tears from her face. They were so close it would only be a matter of leaning in if she wanted to kiss him.

He held her gaze, both of them paralyzed by indecision. A loud pop from the fire startled them both, and Kalida quickly got up, poking at the logs. "So, uh, did you bring a tent?" Merton gestured to his vehicle. "I was just going to sleep in the back of the hearse." "Oh, okay. Cool." She glanced at the camper and then at the fire.

Kalida's voice betrayed her nerves. "Merton… There's something I've been meaning to ask you." He swallowed, but glanced at her. "Ask away." "Do you know who the wolf man is? Like, when they're not wolfy?"

"Uhh…" The wolf man. That's what's on her mind. Of course. Merton cleared his throat awkwardly, unsure how to respond. "Well, a werewolf's identity is a closely guarded secret. In the wrong hands it could be deadly information." She hummed in thought. That wasn't a yes or a no. "It must be pretty scary, having to hide something like that." She looked over at Merton. "Sounds lonely." "He's got us, though." He patted her knee. "Another reason for you to stick around."

Sunday afternoon Kalida walked into the house, assaulted by the volume of the television. She scurried upstairs, dumping her bag before poking her head into Tommy's room. "Hey! How was camping?" "It was something," she shrugged. "How was guy time?" He grinned, playing with a football. "It was great." "What's Dean doing?" She pointed down, the bass from a theme song making the carpet vibrate. Tommy rolled his eyes. "It's some show he ordered VHS tapes of online. Mom and dad are at some city council meeting tonight so he's got free reign of the living room."

She nodded. "Hey I meant to ask, how did you get the green bird goop off your jeans?" Tommy threw his hands up. "It's impossible, right?"

Her shoulders slumped and she stood silent in the doorway, staring at him. He raised a brow, smiling nervously. "Uh, you alright?"

"Why didn't you just tell me you were Wolfy? Does Merton not know?" Tommy's eyes grew wide, realizing he'd just outed himself. "W-well I was going to tell you, at the camp site," he gestured wildly. "But then you were doing witchy stuff and I got freaked out-" "So you sent Merton to check." She crossed her arms. "What? No I didn't." She furrowed her brows. "But he came to the campsite last night." "I told him about the…" He motioned at her. "Stuff. But I didn't tell him to check on you."

Kalida sighed. "You know I'm not like, a bad witch or whatever, right?" "Of course. I just didn't know what to say, and I got all flustered about how to tell you..." "Merton knows it's you too, right? I mean you were at his place the night you-" She smacked her forehead. "Oh my god. Friday was the full moon. That's what guy time is?" Tommy nodded, wincing. "Yeah, I usually hide out at his place so my parents and Dean don't see me wolfed out." She nodded. "That makes sense. Even with Merton being so chill about it, I was kind of afraid of the wolf man." "I could tell." He rubbed the back of his neck.

"But I'm not scared of you, Tommy." She rubbed her arm. "I just didn't know it was someone like you." "Like me?" "Someone that wouldn't hurt me, I mean. Werewolves are still kinda freaky for me..." "Says the secret witch." "Well I don't have like, proper magic powers or whatever." "Yeah. Look, I'm sorry. I should have just told you properly."

Kalida sat down beside him on his bed. "It's fine. I get it. It's not something you can just… trust everyone with. I won't tell anyone. Promise. I've got your back." Tommy smiled, wrapping an arm around her shoulder. "Thanks, cuz." She elbowed him. "I can't believe you both lied to me for so long! I was so worried about you that time with the perendi thing, and when the Factory flooded?" "Sorry," he grinned. "For what it's worth, Merton kept saying I should tell you."

She tapped his nose. "He's a smart guy, you know." Tommy laughed. "Yeah, I know. And kind of an idiot, too." Kalida laughed. "I'm telling him you said that." "I thought you had my back!?"

FINALLY I FINISHED THIS!! Anyways this was a random idea in my head that mainly follows Carol who is struggling with her feelings... mainly cause she is crushing on people, there is people crushing on her, there is people bothering her and so to see how the situation is she asks some of her friends where she knows they can help her in their own ways...

Savvy @twst-the-night-away she could ask for advice on how to look for dates as well as knowing full well the situation

Tristan @atwstedstory is basically her bestied and the one to be perceptive of who is crushing on her.

Melanie @twsted-princess is in a similar situation than her and so could relate. (as well as having the extra info on James)

Dom @mimitwst knows about Carols occasional dirty mind and so can relate on that level what Carol desires.

Amore @terrovaniadorm is basically a love guru so she could also do well to give advice..

To her it was the only moments of escape when she snuck out the manor to meet Ciaran... she didn't know what to think of him and what to feel but all she did knew was that spending time with him made her feel happy... but as she met him that day something was odd about him.

"Ciaran are you okay?"

As she said this he suddenly coughed out flower petals... much to her worry she tried to support his body during. As she put two and two together her heart beat increased faster.

"Could it be that you?"

"Yes... of course I am in love with you... which is why I suffer from this but... I don't want you to look ill at me... I didn't want to bother you with this..."

"You dumbass... you didn't even give me time to actually think about my feelings.. now that you have I can at least think about what I feel for you but... I don't want you to die."

" It wouldn't have mattered either way..."

She got angry and grabbed him by his collar...

"It does matter... I care about you... I could with my family at least have helped you with treating it... and now..."

She cried lightly against his shoulder. Not knowing what to do.... what to feel... she just wanted this to be resolved...

"Listen... Rubina... I love you dearly and... I don't mind if it means that this disease takes me over... just know that about me."

"I...." She just couldn't stop her tears from falling... she couldn't even talk anymore.... and so she tried to think on what to do for now... on her feelings and everything.

After classes Carol was just picking out some novels in the Library and seeing what she could read the next days. However she suddenly sensed a presence behind her and as she turned around she could see Kalida who swiftly placed a yellow flower over her ear into her hair... seeing this she met him with a softer smile looking up at him.

"You look pretty with this... I just thought as I walked past it."

"I love it really... yellow flowers are my favourite after all. So... do you maybe have some time for me... I actually wanted to look for you."

He lightly put his arm around her.

"You know I always have time... especially if you need a rest."

"I thought maybe you could help me carry these books and I could spoil you a little with affection."

"I would like that...let me help out then."

She kept the flower on most of the day and wore a fitting smile to it on her face chatting with Kalida.

Strong rain was pouring from the windows...it was one of those reasons why Carol invited Kalida to her dormitory room... but there were several more. A break from all the tutoring, but most importantly being undisturbed in having some times alone together to enjoy with each other.

As they got into her room she settled her books that she originally got to study a little but as soon as both sat down she just felt like she wanted to be closer to him.

Putting her hands on his face and looking into his eyes lovingly a smile lightly escaped him.

"You really know sometimes how to make me feel special... how come someone like me deserved you?"

"It's not about deserving, everyone deserves love... but I just am very fond of you... and I want you to know that every day I can show you how much you mean to me... Kalida... you have to stop doubting me."

As she said that he pulled her into a close hug and layed down with her on the bed... stroking her hair out of her face. "I truely can't control my heart when I am around you...."

She turned red and pulled her arms around him, hugging him lightly.

"Then don't... who says you have to hold back. We are all alone to ourselves here. And you can tell me all about your feelings and show them... "

Lightly nuzzling against his neck he kissed her forehead a little.

"Carol.... can I be selfish for once...."

"What do you mean?"

"I know you miss your homeworld, but-"

Before he could continue to talk she already shut him up with a small kiss.

"I already made my decision... don't worry... I am staying here with you... I rather be here and get some love from you each day then go back and just be alone again... I know I'll miss my family and Eve but... I couldn't bear to be away from you."

Hearing this he already pulled her close spoiling her with some kisses over her face and neck.

"H-hey careful, you know what neck kisses do to me?"

"Right my bad... I was just kind of glad to hear it."

She held her hand back to his face...

"You should he more selfish really, I don't want you to just do things for me... I mean I can't talk I am often guilty of this too but... I want you to feel as good as I do."

"Alright..."

Playfully she lightly pushed him to the side and layed on top of him resting her head on His Chest.

"Your Heartbeat does beat quick... makes me kinda happy... I need to calm after those neck kisses or else... I might not be able to hold back from bothering you a little."

He pulled his arms around her and they rested like that for a while, his face being lightly red from all this.... and his Heartbeat still barely calming down.

Around the Autumn leaves Aiden took a stroll with Aida. He needed a break from all the commotion at school to gather his thoughts. Aida noticed that he was still a bit down from things and tried to get his attention back.

"So what's bothering you?"

"What am I to you Aida? I know we are together but I wanted to know in general."

A bright smile escaped her.

"Your my person. You are beyond special to me."

Hearing her say this his face flushed brightly hiding it in his scarf.

"That is pretty honest... I do feel similar but... I mainly asked this cause.. I wanted to see how far I come since I left the past behind... often people were doubting me and.... to have someone like you that accepts me each day... its something really special to me."

She took his hands in response to his words.

"You really have to see how many people started to admire you... everyone makes mistakes but people should be able to see past that. No matter who badmouths you I will be there to defend you."

Hearing her say this something in his instinct killed in and he pulled her into a calm yet passionate kiss... looking back at her with a smile he rarely showed someone else.

"I really am glad to have you... thank you."

As Kalida handed her this huge flowerbundle with all those touching meanings about it, she was near tears.... before he could worry about her she layed the flowers down and pulled him down into a long kiss.

“I love you so dearly for this... all those things you make me feel like... It was all worth staying in this world for you... I can’t wait to one day marry you and spend the rest of my life with you.”

She held him tight with a big smile... the flowers got a special place in her room gaining the most kind attention.

He was resting under his tree as Aida gave him these flowers... He did know some of them but looked at the rests meanings and then he had to smile a little. Especially the Primrose and the White Violets got him... he always thought he was not worth of love again... but here is the one he loves dearly getting him out of his bad thoughts... It made him feel like he finally stood in the light again. So after laying the flowers down he smiled at her and kissed her.

“I will cherish them and your feelings. I swear I will always be there for you.”

At first she was touched by the sudden bouquet...however there was something unpleasant to her in it... it didn’t have to to with the color or the meaning, moreso the flower... she hated Roses... mainly cause they reminded her of that day she lost her sister, surrounded in the rose garden. He couldn’t have known but it caused her face to frown.

“Is anything the matter?”

“I do love your gift but... Roses bring up not so pleasant memories... the meaning behind it is nice but... I hope you don’t mind me throwing this one out.. but...”

She bended up to kiss his lifts softly..

“I still want to return the favour... and also... I love you dearly too...and I am flattered you find me pretty.” She got bright red... “Would you like to kiss a little more?”

“I-I-I-I-I I LOVE YOU SO MUCH YOU DON’T EVEN KNOW!” The situation made him panic so he screamed this and ran away with the flowers, but not before giving him a kiss on the cheek. Half of the day he hid in his room not getting out cause of emberassment.

Tiam was a bit fuzzy in the mind as he woke up. The last thing he recalled is visiting NRC, getting overwhelmed by all the pretty looking guys and being in panic. He later drank a chemical to get his nervousness away but accidently drank the wrong one and passed out. However as he woke up he felt someone beside him laying on the infirmary bed. It was Levi, who he already met last time he was at NRC and also got a huge crush for, which made him even more malfunction, however he noticed Tiam was awake.

"Are you feeling better?"

Tiam nodded blushing over his face.

"D-Did you bring me here?"

"You passed out, I carried you here with the help of some others... But I am glad you are awake again."

This was where Tiam was struck in the heart again looking at him. Someone actually showing worry for him. He jsut fumbled his fingers...

"T-Thank you for the help..."

Tiam smiled lightly.. he never did show his smile cause many labeled it as creepy but seeing Levi looking at him back as understanding it just made him feel happy.

Carol was done with tutoring, her next goal was going to the library to get some books of her favourite stories, however as she arrived Kalida stood there to await her. He hid a flower bouquet behind his hand and looked away.

"Here..."

She looked at it as he reached it to her and smiled at him.

"Its pretty... what did I deserve this for today?"

"Its Valentines... the first one since you accepted me."

She looked quickly at her watch to see if he was right.

"Oh no, I forgot about it... I am so sorry but...."

She moved up to him and pulled him into a hug, placing a soft kiss on him.

"I make up for it with my affection... you deserve it after all..."

"I would enjoy that."

And so she took his hand and abandoned the books, trying to first get to her room to place the bouquet in a vase before offering him a place on her bed to hug him tight...

After class and meeting Kalida in the library again... she actually decided to invite him to her room to rest a little... mainly so she could some time alone with him... she sat on his lap and softly held his face in her palms with a smile... it was a warm day so while she had her more comfy clothes on he still wore his uniform...

However she could notice under his uniform some scars lightly... he seemed to avoid her Gaze as she let her run her fingers there... however Instead of asking more about it she kissed his cheek and then tried to get his gaze back to her... she slid part of her current top to reveal one of her arms..

"I guess we both share some scars... I don't care what others may say... to me you are the most handsome and wonderfull person I ever met... and whatever happens... I will be there for you." She kissed him softly saying this... knowing Kalida usually beat himself up about being with her... this assurance was often all he needed... and so he leaned into her embrace and gentle touching pulling her close to him...

"I will always be there for you as well Carol... I love you so much... "

"I love you as well."

She loved those small moments they share being alone.... it felt more genuine and comfortable to her... and so she continued to keep him close in her embrace...

He chuckled looking at her.

As she asked this he got up and kissed her on her lips quickly.

She quickly turned Red... "H-Hey you still ignored my question.... and he is gone... it's hard to even read him at all."

Okay so I am hella bored and got no asks to do so... although most of my ocs have the same job in all their ships I brainrotted about some that have some changes and just kinda made a small list... this is random and likely not gonna tag it but... wanted to get it out my system.
