BookTok and Chronically Online Authors
Because of the pandemic, it seems many people are now victim to the epidemic of being chronically online. This means that any previous social skills or morals are reduced, and their ego, confidence and concept of boundaries have diminished due to the amount of time they’ve spent in comment sections. Comment sections rarely have consequences. You can freely watch your enemies’ Twitter page without them knowing and write posts directed at them and play innocent when you’re accused. You’ll see these kinds of people with a fully traceable digital footprint because they cannot comprehend that they’d have consequences to their actions.
Check out my new article about the chronically online authors who can't help but stalk their negative reviewers and cause internet drama.

Caroline Calloway Finally Wrote Her Memoir and It's a Sapphic Swiftian Fantasy
Earlier this week, Rolling Stone writer Olivia Messer published the first ever review of Caroline Calloway’s soon-to-be-published memoir, Scammer. For those of you who are as chronically online as I am, this is a massively exciting day. The fact that the renowned It-girl actually published a book is a thrill in and of itself.
Calloway, who told Messer she “takes pills for anxiety every single…

Have you been keeping up with Caroline Calloway lately? A while ago she was on forbidden fruits and telling Julia fox that her memoir will be out in 6 years or something. She also goes on about how they got a car to take her to a studio and how she is worried about "walking several hours home in the florida heat" girl is down bad, in a depressed, isolated rut but so am I so I am intrigued.
Omg anon thank you for reminding me! Last time I checked in with her she painted her beautiful hardwood floors white (badly), wrecked the Turquoise Apartment with a crazy party, and was being sued by her landlord for thousands in back rent and also damages from the aforementioned party. Her "friend" Rachel Rabbit White who was illegally squatting in the apartment while Caro fled to Florida put a hex on the landlord
I haven't kept up since, I need to go read the reddit snark sub, so thanks for the reminder. She really is one of my faves. I feel bad because it's obvious how badly she wants to be accepted by the cool kids in NYC like RRW, Cat Marnell, Julia Fox, even the Red Scare goblins at some point, and they just kinda tolerate her presence to essentially snicker behind her back. But also she's entirely the architect of her own misery. But ALSO also, it's not like I can talk, I'm crazy as fuck.

i love caroline calloway and i think she's like a true àrtîstè of our time, like what did she ever do wrong apart from mayybe scamming people out of like a hundred dollars max. who cares. she's like expressing herself to anyone who wants to listen on whatever kind of media available, screaming to be heard, being raw and perceptive and most importantly borderline shameless while still maintaining a certain stylised asthetic (both in writing and visually), what's not artistic about that...i don't think writing bc you want to be a writer is less noble or whatever than writing because you want to write. and people say if you publish everything about your private life you need to expect people to hate on you and invade you and tear you apart. yeah but just because people are assholes..not because you sharing your life is like an immoral act.
