Flamant de Cuba - La nidification a lieu en bordure de zone humide. Il utilise en général de la boue et des débris végétaux pour construire son nid, qui peut atteindre 40 à 50cm de haut et est de forme conique avec un réceptacle pour accueillir le seul œuf qui sera pondu.

Flamant de Cuba - La communication au sein de la colonie se fait par des cris et des mouvements ritualisés. Avant et pendant la saison de reproduction, le groupe effectue plusieurs types de parades parfaitement synchronisées composées de différents mouvements et postures. L'accouplement a lieu lorsque le groupe quitte la colonie, après quelques parades moins impressionnantes.
