It isn't even about shipping them (though I'm more than happy to see them as a pairing): it's the remarkable powerful friendship underpinning their dynamic that's driving me feral. It's that utmost mutual respect.
When they have hands on one another's shoulders. When one goes out of line, the other is able to ground themselves and reel them back, or jump in to shield the other. Which wasn't the case between her and Brody.
It's also the light vs. dark theme that was finally put into words and visuals when we hear Quinn narrate his beneficiary letter.
It's also about how Franny would be a reminder of his own kid whom he is cut off from forever.
I'm just relieved that the final hug he received from Carrie - before we lose him - was something he could properly believe in. God it was such a desperate, tight hug that made no room for his caution any longer.
They kept bringing each other back and now he can continue helping her with that, even in death. Her discovering that he kept a photo of her (something she'll keep together with his letter) alongside precious photos of his son, pretty much sealed this unspoken deal they made with their friendship.

Today it’s a bit of a mash-up of a ton of different strong female lead characters that I adore. It started out as just a Control entry but my colour printer is out of colour ink so I couldn’t print everything that I wanted to. So instead here’s a tribute to Jesse Faden, Nancy Botwin, Carrie Mathison, Hanna, Camina Drummer, Alex Chen, Steph Gingrich, and Miriam Maisel. I know Susie Myerson is here too but while I think she’s very funny on-screen, I don’t necessarily love her the same way I love some of these other characters. Anyway! I originally took these screenshots of Jesse as a reference to see about maybe making a cosplay of her in this, the Synchronicity outfit. It doesn’t look super complicated and I think I can maybe get a lot of the pieces 3D printed at the library, so that’s exciting.

I will never be okay ever again
This needed to happen in order for Dar to finally appear visibly upset beneath all that calm. Peter is practically his kid.
And....he had nominated Carrie as his beneficiary
PS: got spoiled in the tags here tho he ain't dead
