Title: A First Time for Everything

Pairing: sugar daddy!Carter Baizen x reader

Bingo Selections: Cafe AU; first time; sugar daddy

Summary: Carter is a regular at the cafe that you work at. One day, he offers you an opportunity that you have a hard time saying no to.

A/N: This is my first entry for the bingo slumber-party event that’s going on (@the-slumberparty)! I hope you enjoy it! Please note, nothing is beta read and I do not claim to be any kind of professional writer. All my mistakes are my own. Also, the gold glitter divider that you see was by @firefly-graphics.

The morning rush had been non-stop since you flicked on the open sign. Usually you could handle the craziness along with the rude, snooty customers but when two of your coworkers called at the last minute, it put you in a sour mood. Also, normally, you wouldn’t mind the handsome stranger taking up a spot at the counter for over an hour but with how busy the cafe had been this morning, it was kind of getting annoying. You were about to ask him to leave when the espresso machine started screeching at you and spewing steam.

“Dammit!” You muttered under your breath as you turned your attention to the machine instead of the man.

Just as you left, the brunette man looked up from his paper and smirked. He picked up his coffee mug and took a small drink of his coffee. A chuckle escaped him as he watched you manhandle the espresso machine.

“Something funny sir?” You snapped as you tried to get the espresso machine to work.

Before he could comment, another customer walked up and interrupted. “Excuse me, miss? I think my coffee was made wrong. There’s supposed to be three shots of espresso and I can tell there’s only one.”

You groaned quietly as the customer complained about their order. When you turned to face the upset woman, you were surprised when the older gentleman spoke up.

“That’s impossible.” You raised a brow as you watched the interaction. “Impossible because I’ve watched her make every order since I’ve gotten here. While making each order, she counts everything. It doesn’t matter whether it's pumps of syrup or spoonfuls of matcha powder, she counts it. She doesn’t think anyone notices but I do. So, there is no way possible that there is only one shot of espresso in your order. And, as you can tell, the espresso machine is currently out of order.”

Your jaw dropped as you listened to the man defend you to this rude lady. A disgruntled scoff came from the woman before she picked up her cup and retreated. It took a few moments for you to comprehend what just happened, you didn’t think anyone paid that much attention to you. Let alone someone who was so attractive. You blinked a few times before you walked over to the brunette.

“Ya know, you didn’t have to do that.” You felt your cheeks starting to heat up as he made eye contact with you.

“Don’t worry about it sweetheart. Some of these high society, Upper East Siders need to be knocked down a few notches. I enjoy doing it.” He then took a sip of his coffee.

“Well, thank you.” You tucked a piece of fallen hair behind your ear. You then introduce yourself properly and tell him your name.

“Oh, I know who you are sweetheart.” He gave a quick wink and just then his phone dinged. You swore that you both sighed in annoyance at the interruption of your conversation. Surely you just imagined his sigh.

“Sorry about that.” He said as he tucked his phone back into his pocket. “Looks like I’ve gotta head off. But here, take this,” He paused as he pulled out what looked like a business card. You looked down at the elegant, white card with crisp black lettering. “Call me, I would love to discuss a few things with you.”

Your face scrunched up in immediate confusion as you looked back up at the brunette. What on earth could he possibly want to discuss with you?

“Who do I ask for if I decide to call? There’s no name, it just says Baizen Industries.”

He smirked as he put a twenty dollar bill in the tip jar. “Ask for Carter Baizen.”

You watched as he effortlessly left the cafe, leaving you with butterflies in your stomach and your mind swirling with questions. Did that really just happen?

“Wow, I can’t believe this! No fuckin’ way! Carter Baizen wants you to call him?!”

You had just told your best friend and roommate, Zoey, about what happened today as the two of you sat down for dinner. “Okay, how do you know who this person is and I don’t?”

“Because you, my darling, are completely oblivious to what’s happening in the world.” She teased and you playfully rolled your eyes at her, even though it was true. You watched as she reached for her laptop and set aside her plate. She quickly typed on her keyboard and pulled up Baizen Industries on the internet. “This is what you’re dealing with.” She then turned her laptop towards you.

You couldn’t help but feel a little odd about looking Carter up but you were curious. From what you gathered from the website page, he was a rising titan in the oil industry and dealt with many areas within the oil industry. You still had a hard time believing that a man of his status wanted anything to do with you. You lived in Brooklyn whereas he lived on the Upper East Side and probably vacationed in Martha’s Vineyard. Wait, no, he was an oil guy, that didn’t sound right. You let out a heavy sigh as you continued to search the website page.

“Hey, no, don’t do that.” Zoey said as she pulled the laptop away and closed it.

You instantly let out a huff and started to pick at your food. “Do what?”

Zoey narrowed her gaze at you before she softened it. “You’re a total catch! Don’t let stupid society and its so-called rules get to you! If you want to call him, you should! Who knows, it could be the best damn thing to ever happen to you!”

You playfully shook your head and rolled your eyes. “Can I at least have a couple of days to think about it?” You gave Zoey your best puppy dog eyes and pout.

The two of you stare at each other for a moment before Zoey breaks first.

“Alright, fine! But if you don’t, then I’m gonna do it for you!” Zoey smirked, but you knew she wasn’t teasing.

A few days passed and you still had not called Carter. You had formed a pro-con list in your mind about this whole situation, which you still could not wrap your mind around. Surely it was some kind of trick? The cafe was buzzing and as you went to use the espresso machine, you were surprised that it didn’t combust on you. You started to examine the machine and wondered who fixed it, you wanted to thank that person. Heck, you could kiss that person right now.

“You’re welcome.”

Carter.

You slowly turned to face the man who was now in his usual seat at the counter. “You fixed it?”

Carter ticked his head after he took a drink of his coffee. “Well, had it replaced. You know, you never called.”

A smile spread across your face. “Yeah, I was doing some thinking. I was gonna call you tonight.”

“How about you meet me for dinner tonight instead?”

How was he such a smooth talker? Just his little smirk alone was making you go weak at the knees.

“Eight o’clock, The Artemis.” Carter said, it was almost more of an order more than anything.

A part of you was impressed and made you want to say yes immediately. “What if I don’t show up?”

Carter then stood up, placing a ridiculous large tip on the counter. “You will sweetheart.”

“How are you so sure?” You asked before he left.

You could see the twinkle in his eyes as he stared at you.

“Your curiosity.”

Later that night, you found yourself staring at your reflection in the floor length mirror that you had in your room. Zoey had loaned you an elegant, yet simple black dress which hugged your curves and accentuated your best features perfectly. Zoey also helped with your hair and makeup, keeping it all very simple and classic. Eight o’clock was approaching and your stomach was in knots. You couldn’t help but second guess your decision on everything. From you actually deciding to go to this dinner, to the outfit, to-

“Will you come out all ready?! You look gorgeous!” Zoey called out from behind your closed door. “Besides, you’re gonna be late!”

You took a deep breath before you finally left your bedroom. “Are you sure about this?”

“Yes! He’d be stupid to not be interested in you. You’re a goddess and you’re completely worth it!” Zoey encouraged you before she wrapped you into a hug.

You didn’t know what you would do without Zoey, she was always the best hype girl and knew exactly what to say to get you out of your thoughts. Just then, a knock came from the apartment door and the two of you separated. Confusion washed over you both as another knock sounded from the door. You went to answer the door to find an older man standing there in a black suit.

“Can we help you?” You asked, arching a brow as you did.

“Did Carter send a car?” Zoey whispered in awe.

“Yes ma’am, Mr. Baizen sent a car for you. He didn’t think it was right for you to have to take a cab.” The man confirmed.

You and Zoey looked at each other and you did your best to conceal your excitement. “Alright, let me just grab a few things and then I’m ready.”

When you got to the restaurant, the car slowly came to a stop. Your heart started to race as you waited for the driver to open the door, you couldn’t help but wonder if you were about to make a huge fool out of yourself. As the driver opened the door and offered you a hand to help you out of the car, you took a deep breath before you accepted his hand and climbed out of the vehicle. You gave the driver a small smile as you straightened up and adjusted your dress.

“Thank you, sir.”

“It’s no problem, miss. I’ll be back as soon as your dinner with Mr. Baizen is over.” The gentleman informed you, before he briskly walked back over to the driver side of the car.

After a moment, you turned to face the restaurant. The Artemis was a high end, five-star restaurant and a place you could never afford on your own. The building itself was exquisite, brick with greenhouse windows that were floor to ceiling. In reality, it was just a little hole in the wall joint that looked like it belonged in a fairytale. When you walked inside, your jaw dropped at how beautiful it was. There was greenery everywhere along with fairlights all over the place, it gave the place a very intimate setting. It was surprisingly spacious for being such a small restaurant, tables evenly spread throughout and in the far back corner was a small bar. As you took in every detail of the restaurant, you noticed how quiet the place was, with very few other customers that mingled around. Then you spotted Carter.

Butterflies started to flutter like crazy in your stomach. He was wearing an all black suit which matched well against his sun-kissed skin. His hair was neatly combed back but still had a little fluffiness in the front. You could tell that it had been a few days since he had last shaved last but you actually didn’t mind the stubble. A thought popped into your head and you instantly shook it away, you shouldn’t have those kinds of thoughts. You barely know the man. Carter stood up when you reached the table and he pulled the chair out for you.

“Wow, you look absolutely beautiful.” Carter complimented as you sat down.

“Thank you. Are you sure about this place?” You asked as you looked around again.

Carter glanced around as well but shortly after a smile formed on his face. “Don’t worry about it sweetheart, tonight is all about you. Order whatever you like.”

Just then, a waiter walked over and offered some champagne before he started to fill our glasses. “I hope you enjoy it, it’s one of our bests.”

The waiter gave a slight nod before he walked away. You took a sip of the champagne and you couldn’t agree more with him.

“Do you like it?” Carter asked as he smiled from across the table.

Your eyes lit up as you set the slim flute down. “Very much.”

“Good, only the best for you.” Carter smiled as he raised his glass a little bit towards you before he took a sip of his own champagne.

A comfortable silence washed over the both of you as you looked over the menus. Everything sounded delicious and you did your best to control your facial features at each price next to each meal. You know he said not to worry and to order whatever you like but you still couldn’t help looking at the more inexpensive options. When the wait returned, you were still looking at the menu and had not made a decision.

“If I may, tonight I would recommend the Chef’s choice. It’s a fantastic option, if I do say so myself.” The waiter suggested with a smile.

“Sounds perfect.” Carter agreed and before you could protest, your menu was being taken away from you and the waiter was walking away from the table.

You couldn’t help but glance around the restaurant, a wave of nervousness suddenly washed over you. As you looked around, Carter found himself staring at you, anyone else that he would’ve asked here tonight probably would be taking every last advantage of him right now. But you were different, he could tell. When your eyes landed on Carter again, you felt your cheeks begin to heat up. To help calm your nerves, you reached for your champagne glass and took a rather large sip. Carter let out a small chuckle before he took a sip from his own glass. After a brief moment of silence, you finally decided to speak up again and ask the question you had been dying to know the answer too.

“So, why did you ask me here tonight?”

A smirk curled up onto the corner of his lips. “Is it so hard to believe that I find you attractive and just want to get to know you better?”

“Yes.” You deadpanned.

“And why is that?” Carter sat back in his chair as he crossed his arms.

“Because I’m mid-class Brooklyn and you’re high-society, Upper East Side. Oh, not to mention one of the world’s top oil guys right now.” You leaned back a little bit when the waiter brought out the first course. You smiled up at the waiter and thanked him.

Carter uncrossed his arms as he placed his napkin on his lap. “Believe it or not, I’m actually not that shallow.”

“Then why? You said that you had a few things you wanted to discuss with me?” You arched a brow before you took a few bites of the first course.

Whatever you just ate was absolutely delicious and simply melted in your mouth. You ate a few more bites before the conversation continued.

“I’m gonna be completely transparent here with you then because there’s obviously no tricking you. I asked you here tonight because I think you’d be perfect for my needs.” Carter started to explain, he then took a sip of his champagne.

‘For his needs,’? You thought and your mind started to wonder what he meant by that. Did he think you were some sort of call girl?

“For your needs?” You inquired, causing you to put down your fork.

“Yes. Let’s just say, I have a few functions that are coming up and I need someone at my side. I think you’d be perfect. You see, I’m trying to rebrand as being a family man, and well some of these companies that I work with aren’t too thrilled that I don’t have a woman by my side.” Carter answered before he wiped his mouth with his napkin.

“You keep saying that but you don’t even know me. I’m not some ditzy, floozy or arm candy that can be shown off.” You felt yourself getting a bit upset, you should’ve known that this was going to happen.

“Of course not but I do know that you’re behind on some loans and that one day you would like to open and own your own cafe.” Carter pointed out and you wanted nothing more than for the earth to swallow you whole right now.

“I see you’ve done your homework.” You mumbled as you bowed your head and looked down at your lap.

“Of course, I had to know who I was going to get myself involved with, sweetheart. This is why I wanted to have dinner and talk. I think we could really help each other out, if you’re open to it.”

All you could do was stare at him when you lifted your head back up. A mixture of shock and disbelief on your face. Was this really happening? Just then, your main course arrived and your first course was being taken away. When you felt like you had somewhat comprehended what was being offered, you finally spoke up.

“Let me get this straight, and please correct me if I’m wrong. If I were to say yes, would this be some kind of sugar daddy-sugar baby relationship?”

Carter chuckled as a smirk returned to his perfect, plump lips. “Well, I was thinking more along the lines of me being a benefactor, but if that’s the way that you wanna phrase it, then yes.”

You took a deep breath before you decided to take a few bites of food. A million thoughts roamed in your mind as you ate. After a few moments, you took a long drink of your champagne before wiping your mouth with your napkin.

“If I were to say yes, how would this work? Like, would there be some kind of NDA or some kind of contract that I would have to sign?” You watched as Carter straightened up and arched a brow.

“Well, if you say yes, then yes, I would write up a contract. I would let you go over it and only if you agreed to the terms then we would both sign it. Look, I understand that you probably have a thousand questions and are probably rightfully skeptical of me, but we’re not gonna figure this out in one night. So, how about tonight, we treat this as if it were a normal date and you can have a few days to think about this?” Carter tilted his head as he waited for you to answer.

You studied Carter for a moment as you thought about what he just said. After a moment, you took a deep breath and tried to relax. “Alright, let’s do that, treat it like an actual date.”

“Gladly.” Carter beamed at you from across the table and you could see the twinkle in his eyes.

By the time you got home, Zoey was already asleep on the couch and you couldn’t help but smile. You walked over to her and covered her up with a blanket and shut the T.V. off. You didn’t bother to wake her up, you could tell her everything later the next day. As you got ready for bed, you couldn’t stop thinking about Carter or the fact that he was pretty much offering to be your sugar daddy.

Almost a week passed before Carter popped back into the cafe. You were a bit surprised to see him as you came out of the back, you had started to wonder if he had changed his mind. A small smile crept onto your lips as you watched him for a few moments before going over to talk to him.

“You know, I tried to call but was told that you weren’t available.” You said as casually as possible.

Carter swallowed his coffee before answering. “Yeah, sorry about that sweetheart. We had an emergency at one of our Texas plants and had to take care of a few things. Hope you didn’t miss me too much, sweetheart.”

There are those damn butterflies.

“Maybe a little bit.”

You watched as a small smile formed on Carter’s lips. “So, have you thought about my offer?”

Just then a loud crash came from the back of the cafe. You groaned as the sound of dishes shattering ruined your moment with Carter.

“I have thought about it. And well, there’s a first time for everything, right?”

“Can I take that as a yes then?” It was adorable the way Carter perked up.

“Yes.” You smiled back at him.

“Great! I’ll get a contract written up and set up a time for us to meet.”

Another loud crash came from the back as Carter was standing up from his seat. Carter placed yet another ridiculous tip on the counter before he turned to leave. You watched as he left the cafe, getting a little hypnotized by the sway of his hips. A groan escaped you once more as you heard your name being called for from the back. As you made your way to the back, you couldn’t help but wonder what the future was about to hold now that it seems you have gotten yourself a sugar daddy.

Okay, I need to rest, but I seriously need to ask...

Anyone here got any fic recommendations. Preferably ones with earth-shattering romance, and fluff, angst and so much cuteness... Happy endings only please.

I'm in a romantic mood, and the fics I'm scrolling through aren't doing it, so are my books.

And please not the brutal ones, I'm feeling maybe a few fight scenes. But not too much violence, with little to no smut...

And either Chris, any of his characters, Seb, Bucky, or Loki. Maybe Carter Baizen or Jefferson, and Thomas, I have a soft spot for them

I'm sorry that I'm basically demanding so much, I just need help finding a fic that'll best suit my mood, and so far, I'm having no such luck because I'm looking in the wrong places. Trying to get back into RP after a long hiatus due to life & work.

I am F 25 and won’t RP with anyone under 21+ sorry. Been roleplaying for around 13 years ago now. Started on Quizilla and old YT those were the days man 🥲(also did anyone used to RP through these Platforms? I miss it man I feel like you could always find a partner easily)

I RP through email, Google docs or RPnation (I have no idea how to use discord)

I work full time Mon - Fri so unfortunately I can’t reply as much as I used to, I will always let my partner know if I am too busy to get a reply out but please don’t hound me! I promise I will get to it!

I can write anywhere from a couple of paragraphs to a novel styled response, but NEVER one liners, they’re so dull and I get bored super quick.

'cause i'm not feeling anything at all; and you were wild and crazy; just so frustrating, intoxicating, complicated

she had gotten the invite in her mailbox months ago, in fancy cursive letters to be a plus one for the one and only nate archibald. though she wasn't sure why nate had asked her and she wasn't entirely sure if she wanted to go after the incident with carter baizen. she had sworn off high society since then but nate archibald was different, he was respectful and nice- unlike carter. he had come up to y/n when she was in the upper east side,

-"hey y/n i heard from carter that you had moved away what are you doing back here?" she was surprised he had known her name, so smiled at him politely and replied.

-"oh yeah uh, just coming back for the weekend to deal with some stuff then back to london i go." y/n had saved up enough money from working to move to london, there she was promised a job which would certainly keep her occupied- besides there was no one in new york holding her back from moving anyways, now that carter had broken her heart.

-"london. what a beautiful choice, well i hope you enjoy london and i was hoping that you could do me a favor?" she knew him speaking to her meant he needed something, they always do and in return she nodded at him.

-"you see those paparazzi's behind that restaurant?," she nodded "i need you to pretend that you're happy to see me, like you're my girlfriend, please" nate pleaded with kindness and who was she to refuse that, so she put her best smile on and acted her ass off.

she knew trouble would ensue after that, well because, the articles and tabloids that were associated with those pictures haunted her. she was labeled as nate's new girlfriend or plaything- which she didn't mind because she wasn't in new york anymore, so they couldn't reach her but that meant nate messaging her to let her know that he needed a date to the prestigious cotillion ball for the debutantes. and she knows she should have told him she couldn't go due to work but knowing him, he would pull all the strings so she could go- maybe she was nervous because she didn't want to see the person who hurt her so much, carter. she still wasn't over him, after all it's only been a few months, yet he seemed to forget about her already- photographed with different girls at all times and such. it stung but she knew that if she held onto that heartbreak then it would prevent her from moving on. every now and then y/n has to remind herself the pain carter baizen caused her- tossed her to the side as if she was merely a flesh thing with no feelings and she knew she deserved more than that. so maybe her accepting the invite is also a payback to him, to show him what he lost.

when she landed at new york she expected people to forget who she was after all it's been months since she left new york, since she was photographed with nate yet there was a brigade of paparazzi waiting for her, with their cameras shoved up her face. the anxiety started bubbling, her breathe getting stuck to her throat, this was never the life she wanted and if she really wanted, y/n could turn around and fly back to london-where life is normal. y/n took a deep breath and started making her way to the car, door opened for her and bodyguards holding the paparazzis far from her.

-"courtesy of mr. archibald miss," one of the bodyguards whispered and of course it was, nate archibald was as charming as they come. she thanked both of the bodyguards for not only driving her to her fancy hotel that nate provided but also for protecting her against the paparazzi.

y/n sighed, it's been a few hectic days since she landed back to new york city- her time mostly being spent photographed and trailed. it felt weird getting this much attention for simply being seen with the nate archibald once, yet he was never ashamed of her unlike carter. she really needed to stop comparing him to carter because nate was nice and caring unlike carter who was ruthless. nate also asked for her help and that might be why he was so nice but he set up all the accommodations for her to be back here, a chance to see her parents after she left all those months ago and also paying for everything she would purchase while she's here. she's never felt more cared for and she felt bad when she found out what nate had done,

-"nate you didn't need to pay for my fare or my accommodations i hope you're aware of that, i have some of my money in hand." nate tsked at her statement,

-"y/n i asked you to come here as my date, i have made your life a whirlwind, it's the least i could do." and the conversation was left at that with no room for arguing.

nate had offered for y/n to go to the same dress boutique as everyone in the cotillion did however, she felt uncomfortable surrounded with people she didn't know and what she was truly afraid of was running into blair waldorf. blair wouldn't notice her, she was not someone who was truly breathtaking and she had nothing against blair yet every time she was reminded of blair, she was reminded of carter and that night where she stupidly confessed her love for him- and all he did was give her a pity scoff. so y/n refused nate's offer and went to look for a dress somewhere else which she needed to worry if it was to the other's standard even though nate assured her she could were whatever she liked.

arriving to cotillion felt like walking to a red carpet event, a bunch of paparazzis waiting to see the gowns chosen by this year's debutants- y/n felt special, she wasn't a debutant, she was here ot support nate. her sage green gown dragged on the floor as she prepares to walk down the stairs. her eyes kept on nate until she heard shuffling coming from the left side of the room and then he appeared. it seemed as everything stopped as their eyes locked, y/n's throat tightened and she stumbled a bit. she was the one who looked away, to break the intimate eye contact between them.

carter cleared his throat then apologized for his tardiness when he took blair waldorf's opposite- she should've known carter would be blair's date, after all he had humiliated her feelings that one summer night to replace her with blair. as spiteful as she was y/n didn't feel pain anymore but shame, shame that she let herself love a man like carter baizen. she felt shame all over her body that she let carter baizen treat her so horribly justifying that it was all in the name of love- she let carter possess her body in ways she can't describe because she was so enamored with him. she acted insane in the name of love all because of carter baizen.

as the quarter played the music and the switching of partners came, her breath hitched as soon as she was paired up with carter. he had a sly smile on his face,

-"thought i'd never see you here again kitten," the nickname she once adored felt like venom poisoning her ears then her entire being.

-"you know that's not my name carter. also why wouldn't i be? after all nate archibald invited me," the mention of nate's name seemed to shake him up.

-"nate? you know i could never treat you like i did kitten. i know all the spots, all the actions to make you go stupid and confess your love to me" his mockery felt like fire to her heart, burning the walls she built around it and crushing her heart again, this made her falter a step, crushing carter's foot. then, y/n pushed carter away and ran to the bathroom. looking behind no one had seemed to pay attention to the commotion she created, good.

the fabric of her gown is suddenly irritating her- the slight sensory detail sending her into a panic attack, then the thoughts of what carter said caught up to her. carter baizen mocked her for loving him- all she wanted to do was show him love, a love so intense that she looked past all the times where he threw her aside, times where it felt like she didn't matter until he wanted someone to fuck. so maybe it wasn't love at all the she was feeling for him and she knew that she shouldn't have fallen in love with him, but his charming smile and witty personality pushed her there. she can't even begin to mention how he reacts when she gets close to someone- she had mistaken that for love, the possessiveness he held for her, it was just that and not love. the doubts started coming in her mind, how could she be so stupid to show up here and not expect carter baizen to push her into a state of mental panic?

the slamming of the door caught y/n's attention and as she was about to look up, someone's lips were on hers. y/n's eyes widen as she realizes who it was, she immediately shoves carter off of her.

-"what the fuck is wrong with you carter? you can't just barge in here and kiss me" the anger within her is now projecting onto her voice, who did carter think he was to come onto her like that?

-"nothing's wrong with me kitten. what's wrong is that you came here with the wrong man. come back to me kitten," carter sounded sincere for once in his life, his eyes pleading yet y/n didn't feel sorry for him. he chose to leave her, she threw herself at him and he still decided that she wasn't enough- for him anyways. she decided to play carter's little game the only way she knew how,

-"ok carter, i'll give you one more chance if you drop down to your knees and plead" carter took a second to process what she was asking for, she saw it in his eyes- yet he dropped down, hands together and ready to speak

-"ah ah ah, i didn't ask you to speak yet carter, never asked you to plead with words- plead with your mouth, your tongue daddy" she threw in the pet name to rile him up- there was fire in his eyes after she said that. good, he's reeled in, just enough to make it hurt.

carter smirked up at her, kissing up her smooth legs, dragging his teeth at the side of it. the sight made y/n wet her already drenched thong, she lifted up her dress a bit and carter groaned. never had she thought she'd miss him, yet there they were in the bathroom of a party that she came with someone else with.

carter got to her inner thigh and bit her, it made her yelp-

"you like that kitten? huh?" she merely nodded at his question. y/n sat down on the bathroom counter, opening her legs wider for carter.

-"i asked you a question kitten, do you like it? use your words" the authority in his voice made her shiver.

-"yes daddy, i do please keep going," she didn't know when carter had taken control back but after all this y/n knows that she'll come back on top.

carter lifted her dress up, seeing the wet patch on her thong. he took his teeth and dragged her thong down to her ankles, now he faced her glistening folds,

-"such a pretty pussy kitten, i've missed it" saying carter had missed a part of her body ignited something within her, not butterflies but anger- carter only saw her as someone to fuck and she should have seen it earlier, back when she fell hard for him.

-"i've missed you too daddy," y/n gritted her teeth through her lie, she needed to build him up just to tear him down, just like he did to her.

he put her legs on his shoulders, smelling her sweet scent- his warm wet tongue licking her up. the slow teasing pace made her impatient yet she knew that if she did anything too soon she wouldn't be able to get her revenge on him- so she waited.

-"tastes so good kitten, always does, i can eat you forever," all y/n could do was let out a moan, you better enjoy it carter baizen because this will be the last time.

as carter took her clit in his warm mouth, sucking on it, y/n felt her orgasm coming close,

-"daddy please i'm so close, pleasepleaseplease," she pleaded with him and carter shook his head, with her clit on his mouth which made the feeling come faster,

-"damn kitten, i don't know whether to be upset or happy- you taking control was so damn hot," carter tried to come up from his knees to kiss her and y/n took her legs off his shoulders just to push him back down with her hands.

-"nuh uh carter, i didn't say you could get up," the teasing manner in her voice evident, she stooped down to kiss him fiercely which he accepted. she pulled back looking at his eyes before she took one hand off his shoulder to rise it up and then slap.

carter was surprised by the action and y/n smirked at him,

-"never fucking come near me again carter baizen. i don't ever wanna see you," she said it with the utmost sincerity.

carter chuckled,

-"you're just sayin' that cause i broke your heart kitten, come back to me, i'll love you," it was almost as if he was taunting her, and another slap.

-"i fucking mean it carter, i can find men that treat me better than you- for example, nate archibald. he does the right things, says the right things and treats me right- not once did you do any of those just to do it, there always had to be something in return. and the way you made me feel was insane, i felt insane when i was with you, when you were playing me but with nate it's almost as if i can feel peace itself." she looked carter in the eyes and stood up,

-"if you were a better man carter baizen i could have loved you for eternity." and with that she fixed her dress and left him kneeling in the bathroom.

a/n: this was rushed but... carter doesn't get the girl bc he's an asshole!

I’m gonna recommend more than one to raise the off-chance that one of these sticks.

Broken Toys by theohara is my favorite Lily lives AU in the Veronica Mars fandom. It is the classic LoVe parring, but Logan and Veronica’s coming and being together is complicated and twisted by Lily’s betrayals and continued life. It’s spectacular.

Burn by thestarsjustblinkforus (who has also written some great LoVe) is one of my favorite Ryros. Basically, Pyro and Rogue meet just after she gets the Cure, and romantic angst ensues.

anyone else would be long gone by firstaudrina (now secondaudrina?) is a van der Baizen that I’ve rec’ed before. It gets Carter and Serena’s voices perfectly, and is just heartbreaking recognition of self in the blorbos. The line that makes up the summary really is all you need to know for what you’re getting into: "I don't know what kind of life I want," Serena confesses. "All I know is that I don't like any of the ones I try." You don’t need to have watched Gossip Girl to understand this fic, a testament to the author’s talent.

Title: Till Forever Falls Apart

Summary: Your job at The Jupiter is coming to an end and your life becomes uncertain, for once, you’re unsure of the future.

A/N: This is the final part of An Offshore Love. I hope you’ve enjoyed this little mini series as I’ve had fun writing it! Feedback is much appreciated with a comment or reblog!

Warnings: First, this is 18+, minor DNI!! Warnings are included but not limited too: a bit more angst in this part; minor cursing; Lee being a bit of a prick; Ari Levinson (he’s a warning, okay!); mentions of broken bones; and I think that’s everything. I apologize if I missed anything but you are responsible for what you read and your own media consumption. I do not claim to be a professional writer, any and all mistakes are my own; nothing is beta read.

It didn’t take long for word to go around that you and Ari were a thing after you openly kissed him in the med bay. The next day, you found yourself in Bodecker’s office on a conference call with your boss, Carter Baizen and to say Lee was irate, was understatement. You couldn’t help but feel like a child who had been sent to the principal’s office. Lee’s nostrils flared as he sat in his plush office chair and glared at you from across the desk. You could hear the disappointment in Carter’s voice as he spoke.

“I understand your concern, but technically, Baizen Oil Industries doesn’t have a policy against dating.” Carter said after Lee had just given him an earful.

“Well, I still want her gone and off of my rig, she’s a distraction and her judgment has been clouded.” Lee barked back as he continued to glare at you.

“If I may, my judgment hasn’t been clouded and besides my one small infraction, I have been nothing but professional amongst these men here.” You said as you tried to defend yourself, Lee scoffed at your statement and rolled his eyes.

You did your best to remain neutral even though you would love nothing better than to slap this horrible man right now.

“I assure you, you have one of our best at The Jupiter right now and she has helped several rigs under Baizen Oil Industries get back into tip top shape. Surely, you’re not threatened by her being there, are you Mr. Bodecker?” Carter inquired as his voice came through the speaker phone.

You had to keep your mouth from dropping as you heard your boss practically defending you to Lee, and not just that, but calling Lee out on his bullshit. You could tell just by the look on Lee’s face that he was not pleased that Carter didn’t agree with him.

“Look, how about this, I’ll send in all of my notes and I’ll even let Mr. Bodecker look over them as well. If either of you see any kind of biased opinion or favoritism, you can scratch all of it and start all over again with a new person.” You tried to offer as a compromise, hoping it would help. “And I’ll even throw in my resignation if there’s any bias found.”

“I think that sounds fair, although I really don’t think a resignation is necessary.” Carter said after a brief moment of heavy silence.

“Fine.” Lee grumbled as he adjusted in his chair. “But don’t think for a second I’m gonna take it easy either. I’ll be going through everything with a fine-tooth comb, no cuttin’ corners.” Lee barked before he reached for a piece of candy from his candy jar and started to unwrap it.

“Then for now, this is settled, but I’ll make the final call.” Carter said in response and before anyone could say anything else, he hung up the call.

A thick, heavy silence filled Lee’s office as the two of you sat there and stared at each other. More like glaring at each other, but either way, you couldn’t wait to prove this man right and show him that there was no biased opinion in any of your notes.

“I want your notes as soon as possible.” Lee snapped as he popped the piece of candy into his mouth and started to suck on it. “You can go.”

You didn’t say anything to him as you got up and left his office. When you got to the hallway, you were greeted by an anxious Jake.

“God, what happened? We’ve been sacked, haven’t we?” Jake bombarded you with questions as he pushed himself off of the wall to greet you.

“Not exactly, at least, not yet.” You said as the two of you started walking towards the mess hall.

When you got to the mess hall, you and Jake got some food before finding a table to sit at. As you walked through the cafeteria, you could feel people staring at you and heard them starting to whisper. You did your best to ignore them, after all, you did nothing wrong. When you found a table, you explained the situation to Jake and the more you talked about it, the more it gave you a headache. You were honestly just ready for this to be over and done with. Once you were done explaining, you let out a heavy sigh and took a long drink of your tea.

“Suck a fuckin’ prick. There’s no way that they’ll find any sort of biased opinion or whatever bullshit that they’re going on about.” Jake shook his head with frustration. “Well, I’ll help in any way that I can.”

“Thanks Jake, I appreciate that.” You said with a small smile, you welcomed Jake’s support and you were glad that he was willing to help you.

After you turned in your notes to Bodecker and your boss, you didn’t realize that it was going to take days for them to decide. Sure, Lee had said that he was going to go through it with a fine-tooth comb, but you thought he was just being dramatic. Boy, were you wrong. During those days, your duties were put on hold, so you found other ways to keep busy; which mainly consisted of working out at the gym that the rig provided. Jake tried multiple times to persuade Lee during those days, but he struck out each time, which didn’t really surprise you. Lee was a stubborn and hard headed man. You couldn’t help but appreciate Jake’s efforts and how he had your back during this whole debacle. During the days that you waited for Lee and Carter to make up their minds, you found yourself missing Ari and a lot. Ari had been put on temporary leave because of his broken arm from the incident and was sent back home to recover. You wished that he was still here, he would probably be able to put your mind at ease through all of this.

A lot of times, you found yourself lost in thought about how everything turned, but honestly, you wouldn’t change a thing. Even if you lost your job, meeting Ari was worth it in your opinion and being his simply felt right to you. And even if things didn’t work out between the two of you, you wouldn’t change a damn thing. So, when you found yourself back in Lee’s office, you had your mind made up. Lee and Carter had been going back and forth for at least a good fifteen minutes, going over everything. Every time you tried to interject, they would either talk over you or completely dismiss you.The longer you sat there, the more frustrated you became and you couldn’t do it any more.

“I quit!” You exclaimed during a short pause between Lee and Carter.

“Excuse me?” Carter asked and you could hear the confusion in his voice.

Lee looked a bit stunned but that slowly turned into a pleased, smug look on his face.

“I quit. You can call for a boat, or a helicopter, or hell, I’ll swim back to shore, but I quit.” You repeat yourself, a bit fed up at this point.

“I’m sure that’s not necessary, but if you’re ready to leave The Jupiter, we can certainly arrange that for you.” Carter responded, you were unsure but it almost sounded like he was worried.

“Certainly, just tell me when you’re ready to leave and I’ll call for a boat.” Lee agreed, a smirk plastered on his face.

“Great.” You said before getting up and leaving Lee’s office.

Your journey home seemed a lot quicker than when you were trying to get to The Jupiter. You thought about how everything was about to change in your life and for once, it was all uncertain. Jake tried to offer you words of encouragement, but they didn’t really help. On the journey home, you thought about Ari a lot and how you were so glad that you had gotten to meet him. Not just to meet him, but you were glad that you were able to hold him in your arms as often as you were able to. Even if things didn’t work out between the two of you, you couldn’t help but be grateful for the time you had with him. During that brief moment, he was yours and you were his. You wouldn’t want to spend a minute loving anybody else.

Before you knew it, you were walking out of Baizen Oil Industries headquarters with a smile on your face and a weight lifted off of your shoulders. You stopped in your tracks though at the sight of a familiar face. It took a moment before your brain started to function again and you started to walk towards Ari, butterflies formed in your stomach with each step.

“I don’t - I mean, what are you doing here?” You asked, still in disbelief that he was here.

As he took a step forward, you noticed that his arm was still in a cast and sling. “I heard you quit.”

You looked up at Ari, so happy to see those ocean blue eyes once again. “You heard correctly.”

“Good, because so did I.” Ari said with a smirk.

“Well, good riddance then.” You replied, a sense of hope rising inside of you. “What now?”

“Only time will tell, Rogue.” Ari replied before he leaned down to kiss you.

You wrapped your arms around Ari’s neck as you kissed him back, you had missed the way his lips felt against yours. Sure, the future may be uncertain right now, but it seems that at least one thing was certain and that was Ari Levinson. With Ari by your side, you knew that you had each other and you swore to yourself that you’ll be his forever.
