Simon Snow-Devil
Okay to start off, it's important to clarify that a lot of what I’m about to say is based on things that have already been said by @adamarks in their exceptional and numerous metas (if you haven't read them!! Make haste!!), but the cliff notes version is this;
Simon’s wings are both metaphorically and psychologically tied to his queerness throughout both Carry On and Wayward Son
Yeah okay that's mostly it
Oh right, he’s going to turn into a dragon and live forever with baz
So! Let's get a wiggle on about it babes!
Simon says he thinks he gave himself dragon wings because he was thinking about the dragon that breached Watford, but I call bullshit, at least partially. Simon’s wings get a lot of coverage, but I want to talk about his tail. Even back when Carry On first came out, the tail never sat right with me, it doesn’t seem to have a purpose, like the wings do. It’s an afterthought, even to Simon. He retells Penny’s speech about how his wings didn’t just disappear after he lost his magic, then tacks on, “I still have the tail too.”
But the tail is important.
After all, Simon is notoriously Not self-aware. You know who pays excellent attention to Simon Snow? Baz, or course, and also Penny. Neither of them thought Simon looked like a dragon.
“He looked like Satan incarnate. Massive red-and-black wings. A red tail with a black spade at the end. He’d cast some sort of spell on himself that made him glow yellow and orange”
“She thought Simon was possessed, or enchanted, or that he had gone full Lucifer.”
The first (chronological) mention of Simon and his wings is at the end of sixth year, when he and Penny escape the humdrum. This usually goes unnoticed for some sad reason and that, my friends, is criminal.
“Big boney wings burst out of his back. Sort of wings. Misshapen and overly feathered with too many joints…”
So just to clarify, Simon tried to give himself feathered wings. Wings with feathers. Who has feathered wings? Yes, birds, but also, angles. Angles have feathered wings. Oh ho ho! Now we been knew about Rainbow Rowell’s religious symbolism, but this is really quite something.
Simon Snow goes from seeing himself as angelic to seeing himself as demonic. A lot happens in between these two incidents but most notably is probably Baz (and also Agatha). Bare with me.
We all know Simon and Baz are really lost in the sauce as fare as internalized homophobia goes, but their whole enemies to lovers thing is what really sets the tension in motion. In the space between Simon’s two transitions he has gone from having a Beautiful Fairytale Ending with Agatha who is the perfect fairytale princess (“Aren’t they every shade of white and gold”) to having some sort of strange hook up with his sworn vampire enemy, who happens to be a boy.
He was feeling like a bit of a fuck up.
Later on, the Devil/Dragon wings reappear as Simon is about to offer himself up to be killed by his father figure!! I don’t think all that shit in the final battle of Carry On get’s unpacked very much, but Simon was in a Very Dark Place!! It’s likely that the wings are tied at least subconsciously to some of these memories for him. Of course, they’re also the only thing that makes him magikal anymore.
That encounter with Maggie on the Rockies was very telling, she sees him in his half-in half-out state and calls him “an abomination” which goes to show that Simon is still in his “Devil Wings'' stage, but it does seem that Simon may become a dragon. Maggie certainly seemed to think it was an option.
This will require from him the reclamation and reframing of his wings and tail as well as processing the circumstances under which he got them, but hell, we all wanted that for him anyway.
(It’s also just downright amazing that for the entire time they have known each other Baz has been reminding Simon that dragons are good magical beasts, since with any level of luck Baz will end up literally with a dragon boyfriend)
But yeah, That's why I think Simon feels so shit about the wings. He still thinks they might be devil wings.

Goretober Day 16: One To The Dirt One To The Pyre
Prompt: Burn Fandom: BBC Robin Hood Summary: Isabella is executed for witchcraft. Warnings: Physical abuse and implied sexual abuse.
They aren’t particularly unjustified when they bind her hands with rope. They aren’t exactly in the wrong about their accusations. But they don’t know the full story. They don’t know what he has put her through. They just took his word for it. They just followed his pointed finger.
Isabella supposes that she hadn’t gone about it in the most intelligent way. The curse was a success, God, it was a success. But she hadn’t covered her tracks well enough this time. She has cast spells before but never one so potent.
She might be on her way to the pyre, but he is on his way to the dirt. With any luck they will mistake him for dead and bury him several days too soon. He will wake to pitch darkness and the smell of damp dirt and worm. The taste of nature herself.
Isabella smiles. It deserves a slow and agonizing death. She looks at the scars and bruises on her arms. The same brand that decorate her neck and collar and her torso. The ones that pair so well with the welts on her back and thin lines that match his whip. She doesn’t regret what she has done. She only regrets that she has left traces of it in such plain sight.
Her hands were her own downfall. They smelled of herbs and spices. The witch’s scent is accompanied by dirt and residue beneath her fingernails. They might have taken it for days spent toiling in a garden had she not been the bride of a lord. If not that then it would have been the smear of rat’s blood. And if not the rat’s blood then it would have been the black stain on her fingers.
Normally she wears gloves but she had been careless and they have seen the permeate discoloration from years of spellwork and potion making. And now, just as her dreadful husband is beginning to decay alive, she is being walked to the stake.
It is deeply autumn, he favorite time of the year. The trees are vibrant and rustling, shaking off their leaves with each sway. There is a tinge of warm cider in the air and a fragrance of cinnamon. Of dried straw and crops teeming for harvest. It is a shame that she won’t live to celebrate the harvest. It is the one time of the year that she feels fully alive, fully free. When the moon flares full and golden-orange and the beer kegs flow more freely. When the feast is magnificent even to the peasant class. When Robin shows his face for only a good time and some ale.
They will likely build the bonfire up from the same wood that she is to be burned upon. She doesn’t resist as they bind her to it. Maybe if she truly had the power they accuse her of having, she’d put up a fight. But she is admittedly too dumere. Something of a sheep that has finally had enough. She finds that even sheep are quite aggressive brutalized regularly.
But Isabella has gone passive again. She has thrown all of her seething and spite into the poison she’d be dying for and as no fight left in her. It is a shame that she won’t know a life without the beatings and beratings.
Though she hasn’t any fight, she holds her head high. And higher still as Prince John addresses her. “It’s such a shame that such an elegant lady would…” he twirls his hand. “Get acquainted with such nasty things.”
She would like to pretend that the nasty thing she has gotten acquainted with is Thornton.
“A witch…” a declares with an exaggerated sweeping of his arms. It is more for the crowd than for her. “Black magic. She has poisoned her own husband.”
The crowd leers.
“Do you deny this?”
“I savor it.” She snarls.
“And unrepentant!” Prince John flinches. His theatrics are growing tiresome. She almost yearns for them to just light her up so she doesn’t have to hear it anymore. “An evil creature with no remorse.”
Really she has only done one thing. Mostly she uses her herb work and potions to care for migraines, stomach pains, and other aches and illnesses. And mostly she uses her magik and rituals to promote luck and prosperity and sometimes, if she is feeling daring, clairvoyance. Really nothing noteworthy nor harmful. It is just this one thing, this one dark deed. She doesn’t think that, that makes her evil. And is it really so evil, so unjustified, to rid herself of an abuser?
According to all of Nottingham, her practices and rituals are far more foul than Thornotn’s own practices. It is a ritual of its own the way he tears her clothes from her and throws her into bed and… Yes, he is getting what he deserves.
Prince John is still prattling as while she scans the crowd. She finds Robin and she wonders if he will save her. They have ended things on such a sour note and they are left with little fondness for one another. But he does seem like the sort who would try to help her regardless, unless that is dashed by a hatred of her heathenism.
She finds Thornton front and center and he looks horrible. His eyes pierce into her, but they lack their ferocity. They are tired and have bags that span acres. His cheeks are hollow and his complexion is corpse-like, shot with raven feather-black veins.
She flashes him a smirk. She might be a dead woman but soon his veins will burst and his flesh will rot away and he will still breathe. At least her suffering will be over within the day. His own returned smirk is her only warning.
The match has been thrown. It takes a moment, one long and horrible moment. But the flames burst up. She hadn’t expected it to get so hot, so soon. The fire is still only a small blaze; perhaps she is just imaging the heat before it truly rises. Albeit, it doesn’t take long for that blaze to reach her toes. When it gets there it is torment. Her nerve endings flare as the fire eats away her feet.
Isabella holds back a scream, her lips twitch into a snarl and she makes a point of holding Thornton’s stare. Part of her still hopes that Robin will come to her aid. That hope is squandered and that part of her burns away when the fire makes it to her knees.
She still suppresses her screams, has bitten her cheeks and a chunk of her tongue off in the effort. She lets the blood drain from her mouth and drizzle onto her chin. A mistake. The crowd takes a uniformed step back and one voice calls out, “it’s more witchcraft!”
She never guessed that Nottingham had such a surplus of fools. When the fire reaches her hips she finally cries out. Her legs have already blackened, there is no skin left to melt, there is only equally blacked bone. Blackened bone and the smell of burning meat and muscle tissue.
The less sadistic of the towns folks slip away. The more respectful of them, simply turn their heads. The smell has pushed several people to heave. She would think that they are the ones on the pyre.
By the time the fire reaches her stomach, Isabella wishes that she were dead. Not that it is her first time itching with such a desire. Still she holds her glare. Unwavering. Hateful. Thornton turns away, but she knows that he can still feel her hatred burning and simmering perhaps hotter than even the fire.
She roars with it when it reaches her chest. It quite literally boils her blood. It runs down her skeleton with skin that slowly sloughs away to meet the wood below. It is just as well, she knows that the relentlessly searing pain will be over soon. The fire only needs to lick and strip the flesh and muscles above her heart and then burn that away. But the fire climbs to her face before that happens.
This is the worst part. This is when her eyes finally leave Thornton. In an instant her vision flashes a vivid yellow-white and then it goes black and she feels jelly running down her cheeks. She is spasming now, reflexively thrashing and jerking against the chains that hold her in place.
And then it is over, her charred body still, her last breath wafts up to the sky with the smoke. She didn’t use it to curse them all. She didn’t have to. They had damned themselves in killing her, because she is the one who knew how to put him down…
The full moon rises on festival night and in the midst of their bonfire, Thornton bites into the neck of Prince John.

List of Types of Graveyard Dirt
GRAVEYARD, GRAVES  DIRT
THIS LIST DEALS WITH THE TYPES OF GRAVES THAT ONE WILL COLLECT DIRT FROM---
A lot of  people really have no idea that there are different types of graveyard dirt and that in reality, the intention of your spell work should dictate where your dirt comes from. There is also energy from things that happen to grow or its location in a Graveyard or Cemetery that is based on energy, when it is not from a specific grave an offering to the guardians at the gates is sufficient unless it is from a grave that is dictated by its location then a further offering to the spirit within that grave is important as well.
1, 4, 7, 9 and 21 locations are considered important in the strength of the dirt for certain spell workings or rituals
In Santeria or Afro-Brazilian and other workings, the multiple gatherings of different types of dirt are used in creating protection and calling in the orisha’s.
The following is a generalized list of the different types of dirt and what it’s good for.
TYPES OF GRAVES-----
Abortionist (very old grave):  This is usually a discounted medical person or a woman that had no medical training and performed abortions, this is a negative use type of dirt, to cause distress to an ill person.
Abused: Dirt from the grave of a person who was physically or emotionally abused can be useful in giving strength and will to remove either yourself or someone from an abusive situation
Abuser’s Grave:   This type of dirt would be used in workings dealing with driving a couple apart or causing confusion. Making them stop loving each other, but be careful this can cause a fight so bad that they could seriously harm each other.  (See also Gambler’s Grave)
Adolescent (from ages 11 to 19): This dirt is known to cause and promote inattentiveness and irresponsible behavior.
In particular, dirt from the graves of those who are ages 17 to 19, make a good additives in spells where you want to promote interest in another person, romantic involvement, romantic gestures, promote sexual attraction, increase lust, and increase sexual appetites.
There is nothing like budding sexuality to bring about all things sexual and romantic.
ACTOR, ARTIST, DANCER, MUSICIAN, Singer, Composer, Writer and others in the Creative Arts: Dirt from the graves of these creative persons, could be used to inspire a creative spark, and possible success be sure that their type of work is the same type that you want to do.  Be sure they were successful and happy in their life, check their back ground history to avoid any of the pit falls that they may have encountered.
An Atheists/ Infidel’s Grave or someone who doesn’t believe in God:  There is a magical working using this to cause disruption in a person’s home, to break up a couple or disrupts a person’s place of business
A Catholic’s Grave: If you get dirt from this type of grave (man or woman) from the breast or heart area this is used to help who ever has left you return to you, this can be a family member of any age or someone you seriously care about
(I need to tell you something about this, I was asked to help find a family member who had left unexpectedly after an argument and was gone for more than a year, the family wanted to find this person, so I did a ritual using this type of dirt, but the vision I received told me that it was not going to be good news, so I told the family of what I had seen, well two weeks later the body of this family member was found in a shallow grave.  they had been murdered but made to look like they had just left, even a suitcase with some clothes were buried with the body,  the person who did this crime was arrested and brought to trial.  So sometimes it can have a sad conclusion, be prepared for that.)
Cheaters: Dirt from the grave of a cheater works well for bringing about love triangles and promoting urges to cheat.
Child (from ages 2 - 10): This type of dirt is a wonderful aid when the appearance of child-like innocence is necessary. It also works well for aid in developing new friendships.
Gathering dirt from a poor child’s grave for use in spell work will also aid in acquiring basic necessities (a home, food, etc).
Dirt from a Child’s grave or a 12 year old Child:    There are two types of uses for this type of dirt to get people to leave either out of your home (like an eviction or a person who is a “sponge”) or a person you dislike in the neighborhood, I think a 13 year old or young teen would be better because they almost always are rebelling or threatening to run away from home because they don’t like parental authority.
Doctor or Nurse: This dirt can be used either to promote healing or cause illness, depending upon the intent of your casting.
Elderly: This dirt is particularly useful in situations where wisdom, knowledge, and know-how is necessary.
A Family member who truly loved you:  For love and protection, best to take from the heart area and give a goodly payment.
Fireman:    Protection but mostly for the home especially from all things fiery, especially good if a family member is a fireman, make into an amulet.
Gambler :  If you know, for a fact, that the gambler was good, then this dirt can be used to increase luck, better odds, and heighten intuition.
If you are unsure of whether or not the gambler was lucky or not, the dirt can be used to promote someone into taking unnecessary risks.
There is also a negative aspect to using this type of dirt.
The old timers usually referred to a Gambler’s grave because they’d be drinking and taking their woman’s money for gambling but in the 21st century terms I’d say a person who is an abuser, this type of dirt would be used in workings dealing with driving a couple apart or causing confusion. Making them stop loving each other, but be careful this can cause a fight so bad that they could seriously harm each other.
Gangster ---If one wishes to do harm, or to force or coerce someone to act in a certain way, one might use the dirt of someone who "died badly" -- before their time, through execution (not by the law), because their spirit, once invoked, would be inclined to perform evil deeds or to seek very strong justice with little compunction.
A Good Person’s Grave:   Excellent for peace in your home and in your work place
Infant : Let’s start with dirt from a Baby’s or Infant’s Grave ---There are a number of magickal workings that use this type of dirt---for example~~~
A Baby’s grave is good for peace in your home, or to have people get along in your home that live with you.
It can also be good for keeping the law away and there is an old time spell that can be use. I will post these spells later in another post
If there is a person you like and you want them to notice you be it man or woman you can use it.
Or to bring back a person into your life.
It can be used to get a job, and there is a formula and spell for that as well.
Also if you have a baby of your own and it has terrifying dreams or cries in a terrifying manner you can use this dirt to help the baby to rest, by putting it in a non-metal jar in the room.  It is believed that a negative spirit is surrounding the frightened baby and the bright spirit light caused by this dirt will chase away such negative energies.
Also it can be used to make someone move out of the area. To do this, put together a dirt dauber nest (type of wasp) and dirt from a baby’s grave, put it in the sleeping area (if the person is living with you) of the person you want to have move out, or near the front porch of a person’s house, they will hear the frightened, terrified cry from that spirit and it will make them move or leave. Only they can hear it not anyone else.
Dirt from an infant’s grave can be useful in spells of fertility, or to ensure that someone becomes totally dependent upon you, or when you need to appear indispensable. Also because a baby's vision is somewhat blurry, this dirt can be useful when you need someone to cast a "blind-eye" to something that you're doing
Infant/child who died on Friday the 13th :  because the spirit of a young child is fairly obedient this dirt can be used to cause trouble or bad luck to someone.
Infant/ who died on  Halloween:  Much the same as one that died on Friday the 13th only worse, might be used to haunt a wrong doer, especially a rapist.
INFANT WHO LIVED TWO DAYS OR LESS: Dirt from the grave of a baby who lived less than one day is particularly effective for certain workings where "worldly" influences need to be kept to a minimum.
INFANT OR BABY THAT NEVER CRIED:  Usually this means a still born baby, for some reason using this dirt is supposed to make your hens lay eggs if they don’t, good for Urban farmers I guess, I think the formula that is done with it is to help keep the chickens calm to lay their eggs.  I have been told also that the dirt from this type of grave is also used in magikal workings concerning being able to enter a place without being seen or making noise. In some other cases to cause lameness or the inability to walk in a person. There is more on this but I have to research it further.
But what I'm concerned about is that it means if the baby was still born, it also means that the spirit never at any point truly entered the body before birth. That is one of the things about souls, they usually don't enter the body completely until the last few hours before birth when they enter the body of the baby is when the contractions begin,  now that is not to say that they don't go in and out of the body from time to time while the body is in Utreo but usually the spirit/soul of the child is hanging around the mother/parents in general to see if this family is going to be a good fit and also if it will fulfill the Karmic life path of the new soul. Because the fetus growing inside a woman's body is in essence "a parasite" until it can live independently outside the body,  some spiritualist and theologists have also said that the soul doesn't truly enter the body until the baby takes its first independent breath, that is why for ages it has been important to hear the baby cry upon birth.
Lawyer / Judge : This dirt should be used to assist in winning court cases, settlements, etc. It is also helpful when injustice is an issue or when you're rights are being violated.
Madame (female owner of a brothel):  For spells dealing with sexuality
MASS DEATH:  Either by a major accident in which the unnamed are buried or those who died in a mass suicide (think Jones Town), this type of dirt could be used in major physical harm or death.  (Be very, very careful)
But there are different kinds of mass graves. The mass grave of a group of people who were ambushed and slaughtered would be far different than the mass grave of a group of brave soldiers who volunteered for a battle and died there just as the ossuaries where Christian monks donated their remains to the building of highly ornamental bone-chapels, constructed entirely of the skeletal remains of religious devotees.  Or from a mass grave of Holocausts victims of WWII
There is no "one size fits all" way to work. You are working with the spirits of the dead. Your contact with them is essential to the work because you have to remember Graveyard work is SPIRITUAL work.
Mentally Disturbed / Insane: To cause insanity, mental instability, etc.
WARNING: When collecting this dirt, do remember that you're dealing with the spirit of someone who was obviously mentally disturbed.
Millionaire:   from the grave of a wealthy person might be incorporated into a working for prosperity.
Murderer / Murderess/Killer: The older the dirt, the better in this case. Dirt from the grave of someone who has taken human life and has been executed can be extremely powerful in matters of revenge and causing harm.   Use this to drive someone far, far away from you or for hexing, cursing
WARNING: Do be aware that incorporating this type of dirt into your magickal practices can even cause DEATH!  This is very unstable energies involved in this type of dirt, know well who is buried and see if they were without moral compass or killed in the heat of passion or self-defense but was found guilty.  Sometimes the graves of old cowboys who were hung just for cattle rustling or for doing what he felt was being loyal to the brand maybe better.
There is a sub-category to this
Dirt from the grave of the Unjustly Executed:  For example the men and women who were executed during the Salem witch trials, their energies understand revenge for what was done to them, and can be a bit more stable.  But even then use extreme caution.
This is the type of grave that you have to be sure this person was executed only to discover that they did not commit the crime, use this persons grave to bring about justice if you feel you have been victimized.
Murder victim/Murdered: This dirt is very useful in matters of injustice or wrong-doing.
A NATIVE AMERICAN CEMETERY:  Be careful it has to be from a Cemetery not a sacred burial area or ground from the old timers.
Dirt collected from the graves of Native Americans is the perfect additive for spells and charms of protection. It can also promote a connection between you and your Native American Spirit Guide or to help summon your guide.
When collecting from a Native American Cemetery or grave, it helps to know what would be best to give as an offering or payment, do not use any kind of alcohol, but see what they would prefer, either pollen or corn something that ties into their native American beliefs, it’s possible that payment in using either buffalo nickels or Indian head pennies might be good, but meditate with the spirits of this cemetery to be clear what would be correct.
Nearest Relation:   This one is used for protection or to keep the law away, or to protect you from someone who seeks to do you harm, take it from the head and pay this relation a goodly amount of money 50 cents a dollar and bury it right where you take the dirt. Then you can use it in your magical working.
Pet: Dirt from the grave of a personal pet can be useful in matters of the heart, loyalty issues, and protection.
Policeman:  Excellent for protection spells, especially for the home or business This is used for protection and they are supposed to “Protect and Serve”, usually from the grave of an officer who died in the line of duty is best---this is a very powerful type of dirt and you do have to give serious payment
Practitioner of Magick: Literally, dirt from the grave of a practitioner can be used for anything.
Priest Nun / Priest / Pastor: Used in situations where spiritual guidance and spiritual protection are needed. Also used on occasion to convey the appearance of goodness and innocence to the outside world.
A Religious Person’s Grave:   This is different from a Good Person’s Grave, this dirt is more for Hex breaking, because a religious person always prays to God for assistance. If you feel a negative working is being done to you, making you feel unwell, causing you to lose work, or disruption in the home this dirt will help in a magical working to break that Hex. Lots of times it is someone of your family that always seem to have a direct connection to God, so this is good for Hex breaking and protection especially if taken from the heart area.
Roadside death:   There are two uses for dirt from a Roadside Death, the positive is for safe travel, and the negative is the same as Mass Death only it would appear as an accident, in the negative aspect it’s used for revenge. Negative workings I do not recommend.
A Sinner’s Grave:   Much like an abusers grave except you can use it to have unwanted people leave your home to never return, or if you are fed up with your marriage or your boy/girl friend and you want to breakup but you want to win the divorce or breakup, that is to come out good in your favor, then you use a magical working with this dirt. A Sinner is not necessarily an abuser but someone who sins and never repents.
A Sinner’s Grave After 9 Days:  If you want to get rid of someone or leave your home and never come back  get this dirt after the person has been dead for 9 days,  get the dirt from the area of the sinner’s left foot, leave payment there and make sure its carefully covered, sprinkle it around the house or put into the 4 corners of the room where the person sleeps, whatever dirt you have left over (because you don’t want the dirt to be obvious to the person) tie it up in a handkerchief and throw it into running water and the person will never stop walking.
Soldier: Used for bravery, strength, quick thinking, and getting someone to obey or follow orders, rules, etc. -Spells of protection and domination. (Also of courage)   A soldier is obedient and strong and loyal and this dirt can be used in protection and hex breaking as well as domination or to gain courage (as in an amulet or mojo bag)
It’s important to use common sense here. Try to choose a soldier that you think (or know) believed in the kind of cause that you're trying to obtain.
Also, dirt from the graves German soldiers from Hitler’s era make great additives for anything occult related as Hitler was into all things occult.
DIRT FROM 21 soldiers GRAVES:  You are asking for nearly a platoon of men and women for very serious protection and courage.
Suicide:  For negative workings to drive someone who has done you or your family a serious wrong
A Sunken Grave:    If a man leaves his wife or girlfriend and she wants him back she is to get dirt from a grave that has sunken (very old, the coffin may have collapsed) at the head, but she better be sure she wants him back.
A Woman’s Grave:  There is a magical working where dirt from the head of a woman’s grave will help a man bring back a woman who has left him.
Woman who died in childbirth:  To avoid mis-carrages
Each one of these types of Graves has a specific purpose, with a little thought I’m sure you can think of a few more purposes for the uses of dirt from a specific person’s grave.
But one thing you have to do is to know and learn about the various individuals, what they did, what they were like, usually in obituaries especially if the person was liked or had done positive things, with that information you can make plans to visit that person’s grave to see if they’d be willing to work with you. Going through old micro film records of newspapers and reading the Obits can help.
It does mean you have to know your community pretty well, and I do recommend that you never go alone, especially if the cemetery is not in a good part of town.
Now it is not unusual to go to very old cemeteries such as a boot hill if you live in the west to find a grave of an old time law man or outlaw, even old historical graves can be helpful.
But go respectfully, only take a small amount and remember you have to pay for it and do not desecrate a grave.
ALWAYS BE RESPECTFUL!!  AND ALWAYS MAKE PAYMENT

Hexes vs. Curses
Tumblr media
Put simply, a hex is a type of magick that seeks to manipulate someone or something. The term derives from the German verb “hexen”, which means “to practice sorcery”. It can be a noun or a verb, and is sometimes referred to as a jinx. A curse comes from the Old English nouns “curs”, which is a harmful prayer and “cursian”, which means to speak profanities. Curses can be spoken or written, but I will discuss some of the specifics later on in this essay.
Where most people get confused is the difference between a hex and a curse. This is also debated. Some see a hex as the action and a curse as the result, others see a hex as a manipulation and a curse as an intent to cause harm, while others see a hex as using supernatural powers and a curse as using your own powers. Either way, a hex and a curse are two different things. One of the main differences between the two is that hexes are exclusively used by magickal practitioners, while a curse can be cast by anyone! A curse can be a simple utterance of ill will upon someone, and anyone who verbally curses someone else is casting a curse. Both can be used in ritual and spell contexts.
A lot of the problem people face is not knowing they have been cursed or hexed, and just chalk it up to bad luck. Some basic questions you can ask yourself to figure this out are:
1. Have I angered someone in my life?
2. Does this person have the magickal facilities to cast a curse or a hex?
3. Is black magick the only possibility in this situation?
All three questions should be able to be answered for you to consider a curse or a hex. There are some protections and reversals one can do against hexes and curses, though they are difficult. A curse is easier to dispel because the positive energy from within yourself is enough to work against it. Because a hex calls on a supernatural power, you must call upon a deity or a guide to help you work against this magick.
Patti Wigington talked about a method using a mirror that I quite liked. She talks about creating a magick mirror to deflect negative magick. First, cleanse and consecrate a mirror. Then, place a representation of the person who cursed or hexed you in front of the mirror. This will cause the negativity they sent to you to reflect back on them. She also discusses using decoy poppets, where you create a doll of yourself and put a spell on it so that the curse or hex aimed at you is instead taken on by the poppet. The final method she discusses is using a binding talisman, that is charged and worn on the person to deflect and bind the negative energy sent out by a curse or hex.
I have personally never cursed or hexed someone. I am in a few online forums where people ask for help regarding curses and hexes, and I have sympathized with them. I think in very serious situations it is okay to curse or hex someone, but I would only do it in a dire situation and after a lot of thought. I think it is important to understand how they work because understanding dark magick will balance spellwork and make white magick more effective.

Swan au (confrontation part4)
N/A: So, the idea comes to mind to this confrontation.
@djinmer4 @dannybagpipesarecalling @sailorstar9 @discordsworld @look-ma-no-hands336
Magik is a good host, a quality not every ruler can display, and Excalibur is happy to be one of her guests. Magik saved them from Courtney and ever since, Excalibur and the Kingdom have a close relationship.
Kitty does not feel bad to be in the palace again since her first and last presence here drove Piotr insane. She hardly thinks of the man, but, looking at Magik is hard to see any connection between them.
Meggan and Brian are addressing with Karma, who is explaining some of the reforms the New Queen did when the Queen herself approaches Kitty. A cat-like smile on her face as the woman offers a secretive smile.
"Do you like here?" Yana asked referring to the ball dance, Kitty is a swan by nature, and swans are ruthless.
"Is a lovely place" Kitty answers and Yana nods. "It was different since the last time you were here, oh, and my brother was never right in the head"
Kitty narrow her eyes at Yana who still offers that secretive smile. "I heard about him, he did many odd things while in power" she counters back firmly.
"Yes, and one of the many things he did was trying to fuck his sister" Yana comment as it was nothing. And, for this moment, Kitty´s mask drop, as she read tales of monarchies who inbreed and most of the time it wasn´t consensual.
"Magik" Kitty speaks with pity and worry, Kurt warned, and his warning is echoing in her mind, to not trust on what Magik will tell, anything could be a lie, but, why a woman would lie such fact? "I´m so sorry, that must horrible"
"It was, incest is a crime punished by death, ironic, some of my parents engage in incest in the past, my great uncle did marry his own niece, coincidentally, they die before the marriage was consummated," Yana explained, and by luck, there´s a picture of said people in the hall.
"Still, I´m so sorry" Kitty speaks as she tries to imagine how a girl would survive in such awful situation. Yana smiles and faces Kitty now. "Oh, don´t be sorry of something you didn´t do it, be sorry of something you help to do, your beloved necromancer planted his roots on my kingdom, and it was thanks to a beautiful swan"
Yana smiles, now, the smile is not so friendly "killing a swan a crime against this country, however, I´d think it won´t be necessary to kill a swan I just saved"
"I´d not care for Piotr or the kingdom, so, if you aren´t aiming at my head, you want something, if is the secret as to how I defeat Loki" Magik makes a face and the Necromancer and Magik both share the same sentiment towards Loki "then, I suggest go to the temple of Zaorva"
"What? No, I don´t care for Loki or how you defeat him...I want to talk"
___________________________________________________________________________
"I knew it" Kurt exclaimed victoriously and Kitty rolls her eyes. "Kurt, I never doubt you, so you gloat at me, makes no sense" the Necromancer pouts.
"She´s not happy you interfere in the kingdom and wants to make a deal with you" Kitty is hating to be the messenger here. "in fact she pretty much hates you and wants to talk with you in person, no tricks on your part or else" Kitty sighs and rolls her eyes again "the swan will get fried"
"How can you be so blase about a death threat?" Kitty only shrugs and Kurt wonders if this is a Swan thing. A devious smile creeps on his face if the little girl wants to play...he will play.
_________________________________________________________________________
Magik is wearing her armour and using the soul sword as the Necromancer is using the scarlet robe, the red death, yes, Yana read about, however, she also trained under Belasco´s harsh tutelage.
"So, you´re the student Belasco taught?" The Necromancer has an insane look on his face "the last one didn´t last much"
"Your swan won´t last much either" Magik replies and her eyes shift to red, same as Kurt.
_________________________________________________________________________
(I´m cheating here as I don't know how to do fighting scenes)
Magik is heaving as her last spell didn´t kill him, cause damages, yes, but he´s still alive. She´s not going to win. She´s not going to win.
Belasco...The name comes to mind. Belasco, Belasco and Belasco. Would she dare to use the favour?
No, I can´t...I´ll be in debt with him forever.
Magik uses the soul sword to deactivated one of his spells, he´s going to win and that makes the woman insane.
Wait, I know.
Casting a spell, Magik´s injuries are gone and she points her soulsword with a confident smile. "You may be a powerful Necromancer, I give you that, but, I´m the only one who has the Soulsword" Magik speaks and uses the sword to cut another of his spell.
(she ignores the fatigue)
"Why you don´t conjure a soulsword? And fight equal to equal?" Kurt is not pleased by this and Magik can feel it. "You can´t? So, you aren´t the most amazing Wizard in the world then, I can help with that"
Magik now has his attention, ignoring the pain, she continues as if nothing ever happened "let´s make a deal, oh Necromancer if you promise to never meddle with my kingdom again, I the great Magik will give you a soulsword"
"You can do that?"
"Of course, I´m Magik, not Nightcrawler"
Kurt watches her and Magik can summon Limbo now, any minute.
"Never bother Kitty again and I accept the deal"
Magik accept the terms.
___________________________________________________________________
Kitty hugs Kurt as the fight is over and a tie is concluded, Kitty swears she saw Magik trembling for a moment, but, she´s giving more attention to Kurt.
"I´ll get a soulsword" Kurt mentions proudly. Kitty advises to be careful, Magik is full of tricks. "I told you so". "Elf, this only work if ever doubt you and I didn´t"
___________________________________________________________________________
Magik crafted the soulsword and hand to Kurt, not before a blood oath is made, Kurt won´t meddle with her kingdom ever again in any shape or form and Magik promises to leave Kitty alone(the woman huffs indignantly at this) and only after this, Kurt receives a soulsword.
But, something is wrong, the soulsword in his hand is not working.
"Magik, what is the meaning of this?"
"Your soulsword...Necromancer, it is a soulsword, but not a functional one,  you never asked for a functional sword"
Kurt has the look of pure hatred for Magik. Kitty won´t say I told you so and Magik won.
Omake:
Magik, once fulled healed, goes to Limbo, where Belasco is sitting on his throne and judging a poor soul to his hell.
"You didn´t call me, snowflake" Belasco replied.
"No, I didn´t need you" she answers hoping this would wound his ego.
"No, you´re saving this favour for late, sooner or late, you´ll call for my help, snowflake is only a matter of time, either way, it was a poor fight, you were outclassed by him, but, you´re way smarter and I´m proud of you"
"...thank you, Belasco"

Any advice for someone who has SO many books on witchcraft because it interests her so much and she feels like it's really her spiritual calling, but has trouble letting go of fear/paranoia from beliefs she's learned from society? I find myself wanting to do magik but afraid to cast a circle/tap into that energy because I'm having trouble letting go of beliefs like of evil/demons/possession/etc and they're holding me back from my full potential. Even with protection crystals, the fear is there.
Hey, I had this problem too! You can do several things:1. Don't believe in em, what doesn't exist can't hurt you. 2. Protection spells, crystals, etc. 3. Set up "house rules" so they can't get near you. 4. Make a determined effort to not fear. Good luck!

Through Fire, Nature is Reborn (Ch 1)
A Wiccan/Hulkling Fan-Fiction
Billy investigates his convoluted origin, and learns that some things are best left unknown. CW: body horror
“Is it me, or is your magic looking a little purple?”
 “Purple?”
Billy and Teddy, former teen super-heroes, currently super-powered theater bums with a way-too-nice apartment in midtown, were eating takeout curry sprawled on their floor. Billy had just spilled a few drops of bright red sauce onto the carpet and had magicked it away.
“Yeah, purple-ish,” Teddy repeated, shoveling another curry-laden piece of naan into his mouth.
 “What color is it normally?”
“Blue. It’s usually a pale blue.“
“Huh.” Billy was silent was a long minute. Teddy began to wonder if what he’d said had somehow upset his boyfriend.
“What color is the Scarlet Witch’s magic to you?"
“Red. Or I suppose, scarlet.” Teddy shifted to a sitting position. "I’m confused, do you not see any of this when you’re casting magic?"
“Not really."
“What does it look like to you?” “Um. Well, it’s kind of like a ripple in reality when I use magic. When the Scarlet Witch uses it, it looks like…probability changing? It’s kind of hard to describe. And then when Magik or Dr. Strange uses a spell, it looks like a pattern.“
“A pattern?"
Billy nodded slowly. He silently spooned more curry into his mouth.
“Look, it’s not a big deal, your magic’s color. Let’s change the topic.” There was no telling what could set off his boyfriend’s moods. He was always supportive, but even after dating since high school, Billy’s mind could be a minefield of emotion, and the intricacies of his magical abilities was always a touchy subject.
“What did you think of the final performance of “Wiccan”?” He asked, referring to the closing of their Off-Broadway show parodying the show Wicked, but with superheroes instead of the Wizard of Oz. It did ok. Critics were enthusiastic if a bit confused.
“Teddy, I think I should find out where my magic comes from.” Billy must have read the look of concern and confusion on his face, as he continued with a comforting smile. “I’m fine, really. But I think it’s time I decide what I am. Mutant? Personification of reality? Just a really strong wish?” He chuckled with the last one.
“That’s not funny.“
“What’s not funny?"
“When Loki convinced me that you had wished me into existence, it made me doubt everything. It’s not something you can joke about."
Billy frowned. “Calm down, Space King. I wasn’t talking about you, I was talking about me. I really am a wish made real.”
Teddy took a sip from his beer, mentally wincing at his misreading of the situation, and smirked, “I wonder if there’s anyone with powers that doesn’t have a convoluted backstory. You and Tommy, though, that’s hard to beat.”
Billy scraped the last of his meal from the takeout container. “Yeah. The Scarlet Witch magicked us, me and Tommy…”
He set down his things and put his hands in his lab. “Well she magicked a Billy and a Tommy…into existence."
“Right."
“It would be nice to know some more details."
Teddy picked up all the empty containers, then walked to the sink to rinse and add to the recycling.
“Aw thanks. I could have done that.” Billy said absent-mindedly.
He turned the tap on hot and felt the sting of heat on the tips of his fingers. Reflexively, his hands became green and scaly. Something was bothering Billy, and he wasn’t saying. There was a twisting in Teddy’s stomach.
That night, they made love, too quickly and without the dizzying passion that Teddy expected from Billy. They cleaned themselves off, and lay half-asleep facing each other, hands resting on top of the others’. Teddy broke the silence. “So, why does it matter where your magic comes from?”
“It matters because it could be important to who I am, what I can do, how I evolve as a magic-user. Think how important it was to learn your heritage."
“Yeah, huge relief to learn that I’m Dorrek the Eighth, heir to both the Skrull and Kree Empires and now, somehow, also another kind of space king."
“The prophesied scion of the legendary Kree-Skrull hybrid kings and inheritor of Excelsior, magical sword of the Knights of the Infinite."
“Yeah, that.” He couldn’t help but smile. Then he remembered where he was going with his warning. “What I’m trying to say, Billy, is that there’s no guarantee that learning this new thing about yourself will help you in any way, and with our luck, digging around will only get you or someone else hurt."
“I just want closure. To understand a little more about what or who I am.” “I understand, just be careful.“
Billy sighed, loudly, and rolled away.  "I’m just going to ask the Scarlet Witch, maybe Dr. Strange. I have bits and pieces of information, but I want to know the whole story, even if its dark and upsetting.”   Teddy took the opportunity to drape his arm over his boyfriend and pull him closer.
 “I know.“
“Goodnight. I love you."
“Love you, too. Goodnight."
Billy dreamt he was at a party, a crowded apartment with too many people and loud music. It was his birthday, he remembered. He squeezed through the crowd of people he didn’t recognize, moving from room to room in a house he didn’t know. He began to overheat, the house was becoming hellishly hot, but no one else seemed to care. He entered a bedroom at the end of a hall, and the sounds of the party ceased. In the hot gloom, he saw his mother,  the Scarlet Witch, sitting on the bed, long brown hair covering her face. She’s waiting for me, Billy thought. He sat down at the end of the bed and waited. The Scarlet Witch crawled over and lay a long-nailed hand on his bare back. Her nail began to prick at his skin, like a good scratching feeling. Then she was scratching the inside of his chest. Dark blood dripped from his breast, and looking down he saw that she had scratched through an upside-down pentagram onto his pectorals. There was a knock on the door. A little boy peaked in. He had dark brown hair and hazel eyes, he looked just like Billy when he was really little. The little Billy ran to him and jumped on him, knees on his stomach, and began pulling at the broken skin on his chest. For some reason, this was the scariest part. Billy’s heart raced, trying to push him off, but he couldn’t move.  The Scarlet Witch was holding his arms. The skin of his chest was being picked away to reveal a hollow filled with red flames. The little boy’s arms caught fire, but he still kept clawing, his prepubescent face scrunched up in frustrated concentration. Billy was afraid, but now hot anger also grew within him. He’s trying to take it, he thought. It’s mine, he can’t have it.  He opened his mouth to yell, but flames spilled from his lips instead. The little boy went for his throat, pushing as hard as he could on his trachea. Billy gasped for fresh air, but the room was filling with black smoke and brimstone. Still the little boy that was Billy pressed down on his throat, firelight reflecting in his big, brown eyes.
Billy awoke from the dream, panting and still unable to move. He sucked in air. Out of the corner of his eye, he saw a tall, reddish-black figure fade into mist. When the panic cleared from his mind, he checked on Teddy, who still softly snoring. Nightmares were nothing knew to Billy. What was strange was how familiar the dream had been. It was a dream similar to one he had dreamt years before, back when the Young Avengers had just started, back when he and Teddy had only just started to know each other. He was at his birthday party, and in the dream he was eight or nine years old. The Scarlet Witch stood talking to another parent, and behind her stood Mephisto, demon-lord of Hell.
Thirty minutes later, he still couldn’t fall back to sleep. He grabbed his laptop and began to pull up any information he could find on Mephisto. The fact that his birth was tied to the demon was already something he knew. The twins born to Wanda Maximoff and the Vision were fragments of the Mephisto made human, purified by love, and rendered immiscible with Mephisto’s whole when he tried to revert the infants back into himself. After that, somehow, the souls became Billy Kaplan and Tommy Shepherd, even though the timeline didn’t really line up. That was one of the mysteries Billy wanted to have answered. The internet wasn’t giving him anything he didn’t already know.
“Billy, it’s like 5am.” Teddy murmured and rubbed his eyes.
“Go back to sleep, T.”
“Why are you awake? You need to sleep too.“
“I had a nightmare.”
Teddy cleared his throat, took a sip of water, and sat up. “Tell me about your nightmare.“
“It’s fine, really.”
“I don’t know much about magic, but I’m your boyfriend. I want to be there for you, and you can’t keep shutting me out.“
“Fine.” Billy told him what he remembered about the dream. He ended by describing the sensation of being choked and the shadowy figure that appeared when he opened his eyes.
Teddy looked concerned, but not frightened. “You had sleep paralysis.”
 “What?”
“I’ve not had it, but I read about it in one of my mom’s books. You had textbook sleep paralysis.“
Billy shook his head, and started to protest, but Teddy interrupted him with the list of symptoms.
“Feelings of pressure on your chest and inability to breath, tingling sensations, inability to move, and even an evil shadowy figure in the corner of your eye. Textbook sleep paralysis.”
Teddy bent over and kissed his forehead. “You’re an incredible mage, but you’re also human. Try not to fall asleep on your back.“
Billy huffed and buried his head in his pillow. He turned and grinned.
“You’re incredible and I don’t deserve you.”
“You’re a bit of a drama llama, but I love you too.”
Teddy peeled off his shirt, revealing his thick muscular torso.
“Are we going to have sex now?“
“Ha, I’m going for a run. You’re welcome to join me.”
Billy whimpered and grabbed for Teddy’s chest.
“Run, and then sex?” Billy asked.
“Sure, I’m glad the nightmare hasn’t affected you too much, or at least not your libido.“
To be continued

Missed Classic 80: The Price of Magik (1986) – Introduction
By Ilmari
It’s again a time to celebrate the start of a new year with a round of Missed Classics. Just as 2010s are changing into 2020s I am about to come to an end in my own Level 9 marathon by playing, first, The Price of Magik, and then, The Growing Pains of Adrian Mole.
Magik with k, bekause it sounds kool?
I said an, not the end. With these two games, a certain phase in the development of Level 9 is coming to a close. Looking back at all the products of Level 9 I’ve played, it seems that their most creative phase was with their four first games. Their first game, Colossal Adventure, itself mostly just a feat of importing an existing game from mainframe to PC, served as a template for all their Treasure Hunts, by which I mean a game where the main goal (aside from possible end sequence) is to maximize your score by collecting as many treasure items as possible (treasure items being usually, but not always, of no use beyond their role as treasure). The most perfect example of a Treasure Hunt in Level 9 collection was their third game, Dungeon Adventure, which.got rid of everything superfluous, like end sequences, and concentrated on looting treasures within the most fiendish puzzle box the developers could think of.
The second Level 9 game, Adventure Quest, could be said to form a template of Travel Story, where plot progression means basically advancement into a new map area (although backtracking might be allowed) and where main goal is to get to the final room (and possibly carry something into the final room or do something there). Travel stories Level 9 perfected with their fourth game, Snowball, where you have to move through a spaceship full of dangers into the final room where a terrorist is hiding with a bomb.
After this first round of creativity, the development of Level 9 games has been mostly technical – they added pictures and streamlined their parser – while most of their games still used the two templates. Lords of Time, Emerald Isle and Red Moon were again Treasure Hunts, although two of them tried to hide this fact with a meatier plot. Return to Eden, on the other hand, was like a bad parody of a travel story, with player walking through disconnected areas containing various threats to a trial, which they will lose unless they carry the right items with them.
This doesn’t mean Level 9 had completely stopped innovating. Interestingly, their imaginative side showed most with their games made for Mosaic. Partly these innovations must have been caused by a desire to make easier games. This is especially true with their take on CYOA genre, where The Secret Diary of Adrian Mole served as template and The Archers brought that template to fruition, especially by making the point system of the first game more sensible and giving real options for the player.
A more interesting novelty was what I could call a Game of Exploration, to which The Saga of Erik the Viking served as the template. The idea behind the name is simple. After a short introductory sequence, game world – big, but empty, as has been the case with Level 9 games – opens up almost completely, with only few hidden and/or closed spots. The task of the player is to explore this world, with no real idea what to look for (there are even no treasures to be discovered), and find the key items required for triggering the end game. This template was perfected in The Worm in Paradise, where the dystopian-bureaucratic context and the amnesia of the player character made the mindless exploration understandable.
The reason of this long prologue is that I feel The Price of Magik falls squarely into the Exploration type. It at first seems like it would be another Travel Story, but then… and now I am getting ahead of myself.
Let’s begin with the premise of the game. The Price of Magik continues the story of Red Moon, which was basically a tale of finding a stolen artifact (titular Red Moon of Baskalos), which was the source of all magik. In this game, the artifact is stolen again! The supposed guardian of the Red Moon, Myglar, wanted to make himself immortal and channeled all its energy to this task. Because of this, Red Moon is about to fade and magik will disappear.
Manual reveals also that the player was transferred to the House of the Red Moon magikally, after blowing and exploding a big red balloon found in an attic. I have a feeling nothing at all will be heard about this story in the game itself.
At the beginning of the game I found myself at the driveway outside the yard. There was a woodshed, leading to a herb garden, each containing a number of objects, some of which required some small scale puzzle solving (for instance, I could use a candle to burn a pile of wood into ashes).
The house itself could be entered from two directions – through the front door or by climbing a vine to the attic. It was completely dark inside, but herb garden had contained some eyebright flowers, which were said to miraculously improve vision when rubbed into your eyes.
Let’s start describing the house itself from the top. There was a small attic, consisting only of few rooms. Among other things, the attic contained a mirror, which I could cut to pieces with a diamond ring. Beyond the mirror I found a prism, which had the word XAM written on it.
This is the perfect time to speak of the magic system. Just like in Red Moon, you need two things for doing magic – spell word and corresponding focus. In Red Moon, the spell words, the required foci and the effects of each spell were described in the manual. No such luck here. Spell words – always consisting of three letters – are scattered around the game world, for instance, examining the knocker at the front door revealed the word ESP. Helpfully, if you try to cast a spell, but you don’t yet have the focus, the game will tell you what focus you’ll need.
Spell words seems to have some relation to the effects – you could think XAM might be about examining and ESP about telepathy – but it needs some research to verify what a spell actually does. As a book found within the house has told me, the game has three kinds of spells – spells you just cast generally, spells you cast to some direction and spells that you cast at some object/character (player included).
Interestingly, magic affects your characteristics. You start the game from the ripe age of 20, and each spell you cast makes you older – when you turn 100, you die. Magic is also connected to your sanity – the less sane you are, the more power your casting has. Naturally you want to reduce your sanity as much as you can, so how do you do it? Well, finding spell words and foci and casting spells for the first time does this. In addition, there are other events that shake your sanity – for instance, if you knock on front door, some nameless monster appears for a second and frightens you.
So, you’d think the game would be spent in searching new spell words and foci. Yet, the very first spell I found changed this radically – when I used XAM at any focus, I would learn what spell it was a focus for, thus making all spell words hidden in the house redundant. I then quickly learned that one focus – a piece of mirror I had just acquired – changed the game even more radically. The mirror let me cast ZEN, which gave me access to “mists of time”, which was essentially just a quick way to access nearly all of the map and even places that at this point would have otherwise been closed off from me (changing this from Travel Story to a Game of Exploration).
I decided I wanted to play this game more organically, learning spell words as I discovered them in the house and accessing new places only after I had solved the necessary puzzles (like Captain Kirk said, we are meant to fight our way through and claw every inch, not stroll to the sound of flutes). Back to mapping, then. Since most of this was pretty humdrum, I’ll try to be terse, indicating only the more interesting things I found and puzzles I solved.
My very own sidekick
The most interesting thing in the second floor was a bat that started to follow me. It took me a while to get this, but the HYP(nosis) spell let me command creatures. When I HYPnotized the fellow, it helped me to catch a moving wheel (another focus). Other puzzles on this floor were simple, once I found proper spells. There was one secret room containing lever, pulling of which released a sword. I also found an inscription of a spell on a roof, which I could read only by using the spell FLY on myself.
Finally, there was a room full of chests of many different colours. Opening up a wrong one created an explosion that hurt my stamina. It all came down to using the DOW spell – meant for checking if an item is magical – to find the one I could open safely, Inside, I found some salt.
I really don’t want to know what’s going on here…
The bottom floor was the largest in the house. The most remarkable thing I found in it was the Red Moon I supposed I was searching for. I couldn’t take it, because its magic gave me a jolt, but touching it rejuvenated me, making my age quite irrelevant. I also could levitate the Red Moon with my FLY spell, revealing yet another spell word (DED).
In addition, I met a ghost, who was willing to give me its old armour, if I just buried all his bones, scattered in few places. I had already found a shovel, and a good burial place was in the garden.
I also met my first hostile creatures: werewolf, wight, skeleton and a giant slug. The game has a combat system, but just like in Red Moon, I assume it’s completely useless. Indeed, I could walk around the wight, the skeleton wandered from one room to another and the wolf was scared of wolfsbane. And the slug? It didn’t like salt.
Beyond the slug opened up a whole new, underground section of the game. Having now searched through the house proper, I think it’s best to end the post. The main problem, as in many earlier Level 9 games, is that the game world is too sparse in comparison with its size – I’ve spent most of time mapping, instead of solving puzzles.
Spells (if I’ve “officially” found them) – foci (if I own them) – what they do: ESP – ? – ?, ? – candle – ?, ? – ashes – ?, DET – elder cross – detect danger, XAM – prism – checks if target is focus for some spell, ZEN – mirror – rapid movement, MAD – grimoire – make target mad, HYP – staff – hypnotises targets, ? – valerian – ?, DED – wheel – cancels spells, FLY- broom – makes target fly, DOW – pendulum – check if target is magical, BOM – ? – ?, SEE – feldspar lense – finding secret doors
Inventory otherwise: mandrake, skull, knucklebone, ring, eyebright flowers, cage, robes, knife, wolfsbane, shovel, plate armour

Kissing a frog
Title: Kissing a frog

Not astonishingly her felt unhappy and having been something of a a handsome gentleman when he was a human being, missed the company of ladies very much. Keywords: Generic cialis sample, Generic cialis regalis, Generic cialis discount, cialis story, cialis liquid, airfox cialis Article Body: A very sad frog sat on his lily cushion and wept He has been isolated there ever since he had insulted an ugly witch and been converted into a frog. Not astonishingly her felt unhappy and having been something of a a handsome gentleman when he was a human being, missed the company of ladies very much.
He had rejected female frogs as their shaky mouths and general stickiness was bit of a turnoff, on the other hand he had made some sexual approaches a light green, firm thighed she-frog and had been cast off out of hand on account of his skin was not green enough. The next day she was roasted by the king’s cook so he felt that perhaps she had received her just sentence.
On the contrarythe dismissal had something damaged his confidence and his ego was a little injured but he still felt hunger after a night of love with the beautiful princess, within whose river he dwindled. How to recover his human body? He decided to lure her into kissing him it was always a good solution for haunted princes.
Day after day he practiced his croak until he could manage a tune and sing with a particular style I Will Always Love You and one day he started to woo her.
To his surprise she was completely apathetic by his music and ignored him completely. He felt upset and slowly as he weeks wore on and she went on ignoring him, he felt more and more sad.
Still and one day, after a credible renditition of Beautiful, she picked him up and kissed him. Kerpow he thought, but nothing happened… sadly she put him down “Oh,” she said,“ I thought you may be my handsome prince.” ” thought the frog gloomily and he realised that his sad attitude and low self-confidence had barred from sleeping in her arms despite his desire.
“What I need is some help,” he thought and as luck would have it, he discovered two gentlemen discussing the latest fantastic tablet, generic Viagra and generic Cialis. “I have to get some of that,” he murmured, “then I will spring out of this depression and fervently make love to the princess.”
The courtiers had left a jacket by the lake and he looked in the pockets and took a small generic Viagra sample. Next to it was a generic cialis sample and some directions“… fast acting and long lasting, just what I necessitate after being a frog for so long,” he thought and put the generic Viagra in his pocket and sampled the generic cialis. Right away he felt more positive, “Now I can destroy this spell,” he thought.
Lying on his lily chair he whipped out his tongue and ate a few flies, remembering that this particular froggy dexterity may come in helpful later if all went well.
He sang with all his heart, and the princess came running to the river to see what was happening she was just about to walk away when something in his sure jaunty manner made her pick him up and as she kissed him for a second time, the generic cialis gave him a powerful push and he leapt through the air and kissed her back… and the rest, as they say, is only a fairy tale!
