Sphinx, manticore, or lammasu? Some encounters are difficult to identify, but making the wrong call can be disastrous. (Fantasy Forest 7: Castle in the Clouds, Jeff Easley cover art for TSR "Pick a Path to Adventure" game book by Morris Simon, 1984) This series was aimed at younger readers than the similar "Endless Quest" books, but still used some of TSR's in-house talent.

Here are some songs that are going into “Les Meowserables,” an all-cat version of “Les Miserables”:

- Do you hear the kitties sing, singing the songs of fuzzy cats? They are looking so adorable in little tricorne hats!

- There are scratch marks on the tables where my friends sharpened their claws, little scratch marks on the tables from a fallen comrade’s paws.

- Go meow, go meow, that’s what the kitties say. Go meow, go meow, make all humans your slaves.

- There is a box that’s full of sand. I like to poop just right outside. Scatter the litter on the floor. Then make my humans clean it up.

- Master of the house! Owns all of the space! Stomps across your keyboard, butthole in your face! Can’t adjust your legs! Master doesn’t care! Every surface covered with big clumps of hair!

- On my own, my humans do not love me. Hungry now, and yet, my dish is empty. I weep, and yet those jerks ignore me. They say I was just fed but not an hour ago - they’re lying.

- I brought a mouse that I just caught. I’m going to leave it on your pillow. I thought you’d like it, do you not? You know, I killed it just for you.

#man in a suitcase #castle in the clouds #1968 #itc #classic tv #peter duffell #jan read #richard bradford #gerald flood #gay hamilton #edward fox #sydney tafler #rachel herbert #joseph wise #faith kent #will stampe #jan williams #arthur griffiths #sorry to say this might be the most forgettable episode of MiaS; at least‚ i remembered almost none of it despite having watched the series #more than once in younger years. it isnt the worst by any means (I'm afraid that dishonour must lie with the regrettable #1.22‚ Jigsaw Man) but it is perhaps the most.. disposable? just.. average. a low stakes plot about an adulterous businessman and some #shady gambling debts. it can't have helped that as this episode was being shot‚ the series was making its uk tv debut: to lukewarm #reception. unfortunately Suitcase had the bad luck to begin airing at the same time as The Prisoner‚ Pat McGoohan's much hyped follow up to #the long running and highly successful Danger Man. most critics and press were much more interested in McGoohan's strange‚ artpop creation #than they were in another private detective show... US financial backers having already indicated there would be no second series and now #showing to a tepid response in the UK‚ it's perhaps understandable that spirits might have been low bts. perhaps it also loosened the cast #and crew up however; Pixley indicates several moments of improvisation and significant divergence from the script including #a completely restaged ending to the episode. what a pity then that it ended up being so... forgettable :/

I want to get back into reading and listening to audio books again. I started with one of my comfort stories "Castle in the Clouds" by Kerstin Gier (Wolkenschloss in german).

This is Fanny, the main character in her christmas outfit, uniform and snow outfit. It's actually nice practice to draw someone just from a description. No clue how accurate I got with the snow outfit, since she only gave us the pieces, no color description.

Will do some more with my other favorites soon.
