Once Upon A Time Rewatch: 6x09 Changelings

Okay, another episode I have hardly any memory of. Oh! Is it a Rumbelle flashback? I feel like Gideon is in this one. It’s so weird not having memorised or deeply analysed s6. I’ve rewatched and analysed other seasons so many times but I’ve probably seen this season twice at most. I hate not remembering things. I must know everything!!

Are the fairies still nuns, as Whale asked in s2? You would have thought Christianity and magic wouldn’t mix but maybe they found a way.

Okay! I’m getting a strong sense my girl Belle is about to do something batsh*t! I love it when she does things completely bananas! 

Belle: “He’s trying to scare me so I’ll go back to him.” Yep. Generally, not a good technique for getting someone back.

Okay, but how on earth does Belle know the baby is a boy???

There’s a manual on defeating the Dark One? Gideon must have somehow placed that there. 

Ugggh. Finding it really difficult to concentrate here because here I am watching a show about magic, which is completely fiction while my mum is on the phone with my Nanna talking about fantastical witchcraft and how everyone is casting curses on them as though its real. I am going to scream. 

It’s giddy up Gideon!

It must be weird seeing your child all grown up before it’s born. 

I forget, is this a genuine vision of Gideon who’s trying to help or are the Black Fairy or Gideon manipulating Belle? 

Did he cut his own fate?

Ooh! Call back to s1! I’m guessing Snow doesn’t know Sidney killed her father. Or she probably does due to the Agrabahn vipers.

Why doesn’t Zelena even fight Split Queen?! Maybe she thinks she’ll just absorb her magic like Hyde did, which I’m not entirely sure if she possesses that power. But Zelena could have taken her! I don’t know why they didn’t show Zelena’s true magic potential this season.

Oh! He knew she was going to translate it so used that to his advantage by tricking her into it! Clever!

Zelena: “you’ve been forgiven. You’ve grown. You’ve changed.” Regina: “You’re not me.” No, you’re much worse, Regina! I can’t with this hypocrisy, again. You’ve slaughtered villages upon villages with children. What makes you so special that you’re worthy of forgiveness but someone who hasn’t even committed half the murders you have isn’t?? And worthy of your forgiveness no less?! You’d think Regina would be more forgiving given the heinous crimes she’s committed but I guess not if her revenge on a ten-year-old is anything to go by. I’m not saying any of them are worthy of forgiveness or not but if we’re gonna forgive a child mass murderer we might as well forgive everyone else. 

Aladdin! If Ouat in Wonderland is anything to go by, becoming a genie is a huge sacrifice!

Blue! You got big for no reason! Why does she keep doing that this season? It goes against her abhorrence at Tinker Bell doing that.

Blue: “no one knows exactly (why the Black Fairy turned evil).” Another lie! Blue was literally there when it happened!

This must have been one of the only times Belle got out of the castle during her stay of a few months there.

Emma is so checked out this season and the last. Girl needs some coca cola or something.

Who sped up Belle’s pregnancy?!

Okay, but I am so attracted to the black fairy.

Also, she gives me Bellatrix Lestrange vibes.

You can tell she cares for Rumple by the way she looks at him. I’m not sure why she’s pretending that she doesn’t. Maybe I’ve forgotten something.

No need to hurt him!

I remember those few episodes where I thought Rumple was half-fairy and Henry was an eighth fairy lmao!

Well, at least Emma was kind enough to be there for Belle. God knows not a damn soul else looks out for her.

“Can you push me on the swing, mummy?” What? Loooool!

Did Belle just freaking black out during childbirth in order to see Gideon? She must have. When I have kids, I bet I’ll just straight up blackout during the first 5 minutes of labour. So many times I’ve had stomachache I’ve ended up unconscious on the bathroom floor lmao. I just can’t handle it! 

Gideon: “You know what you must do.” Belle: “Go into complete batsh*t insane mode again?” Gideon: “You know it!”

Belle, why are you listening to a vision that is probably the product of being blackout-drugged up to your eyeballs on painkillers??!

The stupid flipping book lol. Mustn't forget the book!

Belle, honey, this is a little extreme. I get you wanna keep him safe from Rumple but it’s not worth sending him to live in the freaking clouds! Whatever Rumple is going to do, which likely isn’t to hurt his son, is not worth leaving your baby to the fairies!

And you’re trusting him with Blue of all people?! She probably wanted this to happen!

Gideon means destroyer. I knew he was going to be a villain from the moment she named him that.

Jesus, she is obsessed with that book. I mean, her mum died trying to save some books so I guess I shouldn’t be surprised. It’s like everything she does is to be like the characters in that book but, like, to a detrimental effect!

“Okay, Giddy Up, look after Mummy’s book and don’t damage it or get food marks on it! Byeeeeee!”

That was absolutely bananas, Belle!

I do feel for Rumple here. Lost another son. 

Did he speed up her pregnancy?

Belle could have at least have gone with Gideon, no?

These parents are supposed to be Jack and Jill. Aren’t Jack and Jill meant to be brother and sister?! 

Oh! Split Queen sped up the pregnancy! 

Oh God, he has to find his son again! Oh no! 

Emma, are you okay? You seem tired to the point of being a different character who has possessed Emma’s body since season 5!! I miss s1-4 Emma so bad.

GOT 8x02 Trailer Breakdown

The trailer starts with a meeting in the Great Hall of Winterfell with something that looks almost like a trial for Jaime...but it’s likely just a war council meeting and he’s a part of that. First item on the agenda, get update on how castle preparations are going. Second item on the agenda, decide whether to murder Jaime or not. That kind of thing. (I’m kidding. More on that below)

Jon, Dany, and Sansa are leading this meeting which surprises me because I hadn’t expected Jon to be “well” enough after the parentage reveal to attend this. But, as I keep saying and keep saying, GOT doesn’t allow it’s characters time to process things so in that sense, of course Jon would be here. He’s just silently suffering in the corner. Dany tells Jaime in the preview, “When I was a child, my brother would tell me a bedtime story, about the man who murdered our father, and all the things we would do to that man.”

Of course we’re meant to think Dany will want to kill Jaime, but my guess is this is just how she starts her speech to intimidate Jaime, after which she will tell the room what Tyrion told her about why Jaime killed the Mad King - I believe Tyrion told her about the wildfire plot back in 6x09 or something. But point is, Dany knows. She knows what her father planned to do, she isn’t going to be angry at Jaime for killing the Mad King.

But she still has a right to be angry that Jaime didn’t protect her, her mother, Viserys, Elia, and Elia’s children after Aerys was dead. This could be mentioned in the meeting but I doubt it. Although I wish it would be, because this was Jaime’s real crime. Not protecting the family he was also sworn to protect. (I would die though if Dany brings up Elia and her and Rhaegar’s children right in front of Jon, reminding him he had siblings he never had the chance to meet. UGH give it to me! But they likely won’t).

We’ve got the typical shots of Dany and Sansa looking upset:

In the snippet above, Sansa appears as if she’s about to cry. I have a very strong feeling that after Dany forgives or even thanks Jaime killing Aerys, Sansa will say something about “And what about why you pushed my brother through a window? Did you do that to save a million people?” The look on Sansa’s face here is the exact same look she had when Baelish was on trial, when she finally knew the truth about what Baelish had done to her family and she’s now looking at Jaime that same way. Sansa would hate Jaime knowing what he did to Bran and how much of the conflict between the Starks and Lannisters is also half Jaime’s fault (the other half having been started by Baelish). Actually, thinking about all this now, I’m nearly convinced that this little impromptu questioning of Jaime will greatly mirror Baelish’s trial!

Tyrion may try to come to Jaime’s defense, he appears to be looking at Sansa here, or maybe Dany, who knows.

But, of course, Bran will straighten everything out and remind everyone of priorities:

Bran didn’t die, he needed Jaime to push him so he could become the Three Eyed Raven, it was fate, Jaime is now in Winterfell to help, the dead are coming, none of this petty political nonsense is important.

Jaime will be told, probably by Bran, about the Wall coming down and the Night King and Army of the Dead marching on Winterfell:

After the trial, Sansa and Dany retreat to the library to continue talking:

Dany tells Sansa, “He never should have trusted Cersei,” and Sansa replies, “You never should have either.”

However, it’s unclear here which “he” Dany is talking about because it could mean either Jon, Tyrion, or Jaime. Arguments could be made for each, the two strongest candidates being Tyrion and Jon, but Tyrion is my best guess.

Tyrion was the one who came up with the wight hunt plan in the first place, all so Dany wouldn’t fly to King’s Landing and burn down Cersei in the Red Keep. In the scene above, Sansa will likely tell Dany that that was exactly what she should have done. It’s certainly what Sansa would have done, with her knowing Cersei much better than Dany and knowing what Cersei is capable of, don’t @ me.

This will be when Sansa and Dany start to find common ground. I already SPECULATED that Dany and Sansa would discuss/bond over Cersei:

(GODS I love when I’m right). I think in this conversation, Dany and Sansa will have a Dany/Olenna-like moment. Sansa is already suspicious of Tyrion, telling him to his face in 8x01 “I used to think you were the cleverest man alive” or whatever she said. NOW, she’s really going to be suspicious of him knowing Cersei was indeed lying. Sansa may even try to convince Dany to leave Winterfell and go quickly take care of Cersei by “being a dragon”, burning down the Red Keep, etc.

Anyway, after this meeting, the Dany/Sansa tension will be eased a little bit. They’ll at least have a certain respect for each other that wasn’t there before even if they’re not “friends” yet.

We’ve got a curious shot of Jorah unsheathing a sword to look at it:

MANY people have analyzed the shit out of Jorah’s sword and believe it’s Heartsbane, the ancestral Valyrian steel sword of House Tarly. I haven’t really looked into that but as per the shot above, I’d say it’s at least a new sword to Jorah, hence why he’s examining it. If Sam did give Jorah Heartsbane, it was likely right before this, Sam telling him something like Jorah’s a true warrior, he needs a true sword, Sam’s not a fighter, can’t wield it well anyway, something like this.

Also, if Sam gives Jorah Heartsbane, it means their friendship is still intact after the Dany-Tarly fiasco. Jorah may even be the one to help Sam come to not entirely hate Dany for killing his father and brother. After all, after everything Sam’s been hearing about Dany since way back in S5, he appeared to have had admiration for her until he found out what she did to his family. So his hatred of her, I don’t believe, will last.

Dany visits Jon in the crypts:

And as has been pointed out, Dany appears to be coming from further back in the crypts IF Jon is indeed standing in front of Lyanna’s statue. Even in 8x01, we saw Sam come in from Jon’s left and Dany comes in from the Jon’s right. As we saw baby Sam, Gilly, and Varys hiding in the crypts, it’s possible she and Jon were down there making preparations and Jon left early to go stand in front of Lyanna and when Dany leaves from prepping the lower crypts for people to hide, this is when she finds Jon.

I still believe she won’t know what’s going on with Jon yet, she’ll likely ask him because my guess is he’s been distant toward her since Sam told him the truth. My best guess for how Dany will react is that she’ll be shocked, but she won’t be mad. This will be quite the thing to have Dany process as well because she had long thought she was the last Targaryen and had no family left and now she’ll find out that, in fact, she was never alone and has had Jon all along.

As they flew the dragons together in 8x01, I think she’ll bring this up with Jon, maybe say it’s fitting that he rode the dragon that was named for his real father. Dany could even bring up that Jon reminds her of Rhaegar, or at least, what she’s heard about her brother, all his goodness.

It’s unclear if Jon and Dany will reconcile this in this episode. I can’t imagine them fighting over this but Jon maybe still be distant with Dany, needing more time to process. He’ll likely reiterate that he doesn’t want to be King, she is his queen. Rumor has it the name of this episode is “The Rightful Queen”. That’s not backed up with evidence at all but it would make sense if Jon names Dany the rightful Queen. Dany may insist Jon is the heir if he’s Rhaegar’s son - this is the only thing I can imagine them fighting about, Dany pushing Jon to embrace his heritage, Jon either being really confused or telling Dany he doesn’t want anyone else to know about this.

Next we get some shots of the Winterfell courtyard and though these scenes had these flipped in order in the preview, I think we get this shot of Jon first:

Jon looking toward the gate because one blast sounds, announcing Tormund and the Night’s Watch‘s arrival. And then we get this scene next:

Where Tormund tells Jon how much time they have:

“How long do we have?” “Before the sun comes up tomorrow.”

I find Tormund’s words strange. “Before the sun comes up tomorrow.” Uhh...so when exactly will the AOTD arrive? Later that night before the sun comes up? Will they arrive the next morning? We know the battle is a night battle so if the AOTD arrive in the morning, does that mean they just stand there until it turns dark and then they attack the castle?? I’m seriously so confused.

But regardless, after Tormund arrives, Winterfell has one day to prepare for the battle. I think the dead will arrive later that night because Jon is wearing the same thing he wears in the clips we’ve seen from the season trailer of the battle. So it makes sense Jon wouldn’t have time to change into that blue boiled leather outfit.

We get the above brief clip of Jon, Ed, and Sam, the three original remaining Night’s Watchmen. This is when Jon and Sam will have their exchange, “Think back to where we started,” “Now it’s just us.” It’s just those three left, they are the watchers on the Wall. It looks like the AOTD is possibly in the background. Or maybe that’s just trees. Who knows.

And the trailer ends with a shot of Tyrion on the battlements of Winterfell in a shot that is incredibly reminiscent of when he was on the battlements of King’s Landing before the Battle of Blackwater back in Season 2.

I’m thinking this is where the episode will end or it will end when the dead start to march on the castle.

Some thoughts/predictions I have about the episode that were not shown in the trailer:

Dany’s pregnancy. We could get hints of this this episode but likely, it won’t be revealed until after the battle. Dany will be injured, Wolkan or someone else will tend to her wounds and realize it and tell her or Jon or both.

Arya/Gendry. In the preview, we did hear Arya’s speech about how the God of death has many faces - I think she’s talking to Gendry as he gives her the spear he made for her. I have a weird feeling that Bran told Arya she would need a dragonglass spear otherwise, why would she need one? And getting super tinfoily, this could be what Arya uses to defeat the Night King (because I have a feeling it will be Arya who lands the fatal blow to him). Aside from the spear, I really think we will get an Arya/Gendry kiss in this episode, I’m praying for a sex scene or at least, an implied sex scene.

We should get our first Arya/Dany scene in this episode because they haven’t shared a real scene together yet. Who knows what they’ll talk about, Jon likely and all the brooding he’s been doing. Neither of them will know what’s wrong with him and if Dany does, she wouldn’t tell Arya as per Jon’s wishes.

More Davos bringing up wedding stuff and more Tyrion trying to ignore it. Bonus if Sansa is there and Tyrion’s aversion to a Jon/Dany wedding makes Sansa even more suspicious of him, because why would he be opposed to such an idea?

Gilly, hopefully, and Ghost. Bonus if they’re shown together (as we’ve seen Ghost protect Gilly before). Extra bonus if this is when Dany meets them both for the first time.

I’d love some private Jaime/Dany talk or Jaime/Jon talk but we likely won’t get it. My fingers are crossed though.

Definitely Jaime/Brienne. Bonus if we get jealous Jaime once Tormund shows up and won’t stop eye-fucking Brienne. Extra bonus if the Hound sees all of this and tells Jaime something like, if he wants Brienne, he better claim her now or else Tormund will.

Probably Bran/Dany, him telling her everything she’s done has brought her home. I’m really hoping for this. Fingers crossed!

Maybe Sam/Dany with her trying to explain why she did what she did and Sam not being open to listening to her. Probably Sam/Gilly though with Gilly trying to talk some sense into Sam because we all know how Gilly felt about Randyll Tarly.

Possibly more Night King symbol stuff. As Beric said, he’s sending a message, we just don’t know what that message is yet.

Oh sure lol.

The Stark banner is from Battle of the Bastards (6x09), after the Starks retake Winterfell from the Boltons.

The Winterfell shot is from Winterfell (8x01) after Drogon and Rhaegal fly over the castle at the beginning of the episode.

And the shot of the dragons is from the same episode when Jon rides Rhaegal for the first time.

ohhhhhh this is fun wow ok!!!! i haven’t watched an episode of castle since it ended, so my memory is a little fuzzy but let’s see if i can think of my favorites :)

season 1:1x01: flowers for your grave - how can people not absolutely love the pilot of their fave shows1x05: a chill goes through her veins - we saw more to kate beckett and i loved it omfg1x06: always buy retail - meredith KILLED me omg i loved this episodeseason 2:2x13: sucker punch - this was the first episode i ever saw and wow. just. wow. 2x17: tick tick tick…2x18: boom! - this two-parter freaking blew me away holy shit

season 3:3x06: 3XK - the triple killer storyline was one of my favorites and the HAND HOLDING3x13: knockdown - FIRST KISS!!!!3x24: knockout - CASTLE TELLS HER HE LOVES HER RIP

season 4:4x07: cops & robbers - beckett is such a badass first of all and second of all the look she and castle share omfg4x09: killshot - some of stana’s best acting was during this episode, i love it so so so so much4x19: 47 seconds // 4x23: always - these two episodes (and the ones in between) were so incredible. i love them too much, i just can’t pick one. season 4 was spectacular.

season 5:5x01: after the storm - my babies are finally a couple!!!! the morning after!!!! castle hiding beckett in a closet!!!! beckett confronting bracken!!!! holy shit this episode!!!!! so good!!!!!!5x05: probable cause - 3xk is back bless!!5x22: still - omfg i love this episode with everything i havehonorable mentions (because how can i pick only three episodes from this season honestly): recoil, target, hunt, the lives of others

season 6:6x09: disciple - this episode gave me chills holy shit6x11: under fire - my boys!!!!! :(6x17: in the belly of the beast - sweet lord this episode was incredible i love stana so much

season 7:7x06: the time of our lives - this au episode was so freakin cool and finally my babies got married and holy shit their vows made me sob and then IN MY VEINS PLAYING rip7x08: kill switch - esposito-centric episode!!!!! this was so incredible!!!!7x14 & 7x15: resurrection & reckoning - this two-parter was absolutely insane and so beyond creepy and so good i loved it so much

season 8 (i didn’t watch half of this season because it’s just not the same without milmar tbh):8x01: XY 8x02: XX8x22: crossfire- even though the reason for this being the last episode is complete and utter garbage, i still loved this episode so much. it was the perfect ending. i am so freaking happy that there wasn’t a season 9 because we all know beckett would have died on the kitchen floor and then they never would have gotten their three kids. this was the best ending i could have ever hoped for.

p.s. doing this made me so nostalgic and i might whip out my dvds and rewatch this show soon because wow i miss it

Jon Snow War Council and Sansa warning Game of Thrones 6x09

In defense of Sansa and my love for Jon and Sansa’s dynamic

I would like to talk about this scene since this scene is all kinds of awesome. First, I heard from the GOT Cast & Crew Commentary that the scene of Jon and Sansa is the director’s wife favorite scene that she has seen of the GOT series as she thought “It is just so real”. Which I thought wow she is right Jon and Sansa’s relationship dynamic has that openness to it, they are themselves whenever it is just the two of them talking. And of course another wow because yeah she is right Kit and Sophie’s acting here is so good and real and they bounce off each other with such rawness and should I say trust??? Their scene felt to me like they are just so comfortable with each other that they know they can be just as intense with each other and know that the other can totally give as good as they get. Hence, the media making so many mentions of their explosive chemistry which translates on-screen as unresolved tension in the sexual/romantic variety. I believe it came off like that because even when they are arguing I can still feel their mutual affection for each other (both from the actors and I believe also from both the characters as I felt that was what they are going for and also what the direction was going for). Which give us this gift of a scene.

Jon and Sansa’s relationship from the get go since they have been reunited have been like this. Real, they become their true selves and they also felt safe enough with each other to tell each other all their darkest nightmares. It is like coming home where you can finally take off your coat, take off your shoes, sit down and just be. It was like that during their reunion chat (I would also love to break this scene down and say my thoughts but that will be another post) or with the dinner debate and decision of taking back Winterfell and trying to save Rickon, and it was like that here. I love that Sansa who for years have held her tongue and not say anything or sometimes even lie to protect herself was so honest here in telling Jon that Rickon is already lost to them. That must have been really hard for her to admit that truth and even to accept that their brother was already lost to them. But she knows how this world works now and most of all she knows the enemy that they are dealing with. For people to think that all Sansa ever cares about is to get her Castle back and not care about Rickon dying is as laughable as saying the little tyrant with the big lizards are the most heroic person of this world. But hey, whatever.

Let me continue. Before they had their argument, she was listening to Jon, Davos and Tormund talk about their strategies and how Jon said they will try to lure Ramsay into a trap during the battle and that is when you see Sansa starting to frown and fidget. The Three men knew that their odds are not great and they are relying on this hope that they can trick Ramsay during the battle and surround his army from all sides which by the way exactly what happen to them and not to Ramsay’s army.

So once they are done with their meeting, Sansa decided to talk to Jon and tell him that meeting Ramsay and having one conversation with him does not equal Jon already knowing the enemy and that Jon is actually underestimating the enemy.

What Sansa was saying to Jon is this:

- Do not try to lure Ramsay into a trap, Ramsay actually plays games like that and enjoys them, that is his turf, don’t try to engage in that kind of mind games with him...

- Ramsay is using Rickon to lure YOU into a trap and he will definitely kill Rickon since Rickon is more a threat to him than YOU or ME

- I know you do not want to hear this truth that our brother is already lost to us but I know he is already lost to us the moment the Umbers gave Rickon to Ramsay and when I saw shaggy’s head thrown on the ground when we had that meeting with Ramsay. Internally I’m sure Sansa is thinking “Why do you think I told Ramsay that he is going to die tomorrow and to Sleep well”???? Do you think I said all that to have a badass exit and last words??? No, I said that and I meant it because he is going to die tomorrow and I will avenge myself and my brother and kill this monster even if that is the last thing I ever do.

- Oh really it’s obvious that You are not supposed to do what Ramsay wants you to do????? Oh Jon, you really do know nothing... You don’t even know yourself and who you are,,, the real obvious thing that is going to happen is actually YOU being provoked to do exactly what Ramsay wants you to do and if I am wrong then I am not Sansa Stark of Winterfell but Alayne Stone.

- And you know what else is obvious??? Not going to war when you know that you are going to loose!!!! You do not just go into battle unprepared or without an army to back you up oh wait let me take that back as I have read spoilers of Season 7 and I heard that you are going on a stupid wight hunt with just 7 men against an army, I guess 3000 men against 6000 men for this battle is not enough for you, Oh no, you want to show how you can fight against all odds and just have 7 men (sorry I rant and went off on a tangent here because of the crapfest that was season 7)

- ok now where were we? Oh by the way, I almost forgot you know I am definitely going to die right if Ramsay won the Battle of the Bastards? Internally Sansa is saying “Yes, I will definitely die when I have to go back to Winterfell as Ramsay Bolton’s wife because I will definitely kill him to avenge my brother and myself which I know will be the death of me but so be it”

- Oh and I want you to listen to what I’m saying because I do not want anything to happen to you like what will happen to Rickon and what happened to Robb and Mother. That is why here I am with my hard-earned calm and collectedness deserting me and now I’m even finding it hard to breathe because just the thought of you in that battle outgunned and outnumbered is making my lungs closed up and not working properly when I thought I was just find awhile ago...

- what did you say??? You will protect me??? I’m also trying to protect you and you are not listening!!!

- Sansa, internally, “I really hope that the Knights of the Vale will answer my call. Should I tell you? You are not even listening to me so why should I tell you that I asked for their help knowing my luck with this show they will not come or you will not be pleased that I asked the man who sold me to the Boltons for help and you are definitely going to love that NOT.

So that was my interpretation of Sansa’s end of the conversation:

While with Jon I felt like he is just thinking of :

I MUST SAVE RICKON. I WILL BEAT THE LIVING SHIT OUT OF RAMSAY.

SANSA DOES NOT THINK I CAN PROTECT HER. SANSA DOES NOT BELIEVE THAT I CAN WIN THIS BATTLE. EVEN IF I DO NOT HAVE ENOUGH MEN I HAVE TO GO AND PROTECT SANSA AND RICKON AND DIE TRYING. WHAT??? WAIT??? SHE WILL KILL HERSELF IF I LOOSE NO NO NO I WILL PROTECT HER. JUST THE THOUGHT OF RAMSAY TOUCHING SANSA,,, NO NO NO THAT WILL NEVER HAPPEN AGAIN, I WILL PROTECT YOU SANSA, I PROMISE. GOD SHE IS ALL THAT IS GOOD AND PURE IN THIS WORLD AND I WILL FIGHT FOR HER...Jon internally, “I thought I am done with fighting” NO NO NO I WILL SAVE RICKON, I WILL PROTECT SANSA. MY WATCH IS NOT YET OVER. MY WATCH WILL NEVER BE OVER SO THAT SANSA REMAINS SAFE AND ALIVE.

Yep, that is what I see in that scene, he was trying to convince Sansa that he will protect her and save Rickon and even inserted an OUTRIGHT DECLARATION/OATH to protect SANSA... sigh Jon is so caught up in his vow to protect Sansa and save Rickon and when he hears Sansa saying “Just don’t do what Ramsay wants you to do” You could see Jon thinking really Sansa thinks I am a fool that will easily be led by Ramsay??? Of course I know this and I will definitely not be lured into a trap,,, Sansa does not think much of me... which is not what Sansa is saying. Sansa is saying Ramsay is the one who plays games and you have to be smarter and not play the game.

then Sansa said “not to attack Winterfell until we have a larger force” which I want to point out to the antis of Sansa that she was not that impatiently eager to get back her Castle, nope not her, she knows now to be cautious, dang it SHE is the epitome of CAUTIOUS and RESTRAINT because that is how she managed to survive this long with narry a fighting skill. But Jon the guy who only knows to charge to battle with his heart Snow cannot really relate to that so much... Sansa is saying WAIT, we need to find another way to rally more forces...

I know people are saying why couldn’t she just tell Jon about the knights of the Vale??? My answer, she did say to wait until we have a larger force. Of course Sansa, will not tell him who the same way she lied about the Riverruns stuff because one she is not sure the KoV will come and two she knows Jon will not like that it’s littlefinger. I think Sansa wants to have the Knights of the Vale arrived first and get Jon to accept their help once they are already at their doorstep so as to avoid Jon saying no. Maybe Jon will not say no and I could be wrong but I really believe that is what Sansa felt with this issue.

As I’ve said, I love this scene, I love their conflict since it actually showcase their devotion to one another, how only each other can push the other’s buttons and how they can be so free to be themselves with each other. I love how finally Sansa has finally shown how smart she is and wants to finally be active in what is happening to her. I believe Jon is the one who makes Sansa feel like that. Safe. No longer Alone. And Jon, because of his nature, Sansa seem to effortlessly tap/awaken that part of him that he thought is no longer there, his nature to protect and thereby have a reason to fight for ...Jon “I’m tired of fighting” Snow is now no longer tired but actually itching to fight and defeat the bastard that dared to TOUCH Sansa. Other people would watch this scene and say yep Starkbowl, they can’t stand each other. But here I am thinking, Jon started the scene getting ready to fight and at the end of the scene the show finally showed us the reason why...

“I won’t ever - let him touch you again. I’ll protect you. I promise”. and you bet your three dragons and all the white walkers beyond the wall he will do exactly that.
