This is kinda how it works in my head! I like Jaz and Flaz dynamics separately, but i guess that morphs a little in a poly dynamic? (but ive seen a lot of fun interpretations, but i think all of them have the OCTA besties dynamics as their baseline).

For me honestly ships mean "each other's most important person," which is how i interpret octa in canon, so i am winning in my delusion 🥇

Emma, my love, I haven't stopped thinking about ✨him✨since we spoke the idea into existence.

The world thought Ezra a monster. 

Many words had been bandied about. Devil and demon. Beast and brute. A mammoth monstrosity that hid in the shadows, dangerous to behold and deadly to deny. Evil. Vicious. Fearful and frightening. The darkness beneath a little one’s bed and the villain hiding just out of sight. A monster. A monster. Always a monster. And never the name that had been given to him and his kin ages ago, when the world was new and different was taught to be feared. 

Even now, those that spotted him couldn’t bring themselves to say the word; as if speaking that truth would harbour in some horrid curse, leaving them just as hideous as they found him. Scaled skin and hooked claws. Two wide spread wings and only one arm for his troubles. His size insurmountable, his eyes dark and his fangs sharp.

It was impossible to refute the way the world spoke of him. Certainly more so when the truth was so very evident from the way the gods had pieced him together. And so, Ezra stayed hidden, the depths of the darkness his only companion, only stepping out of the shadows when the world was quiet and the moon was missing, the night made darker by its absence.
