I've long thought up various alternative names that a chipped or unchipped Catra, whose sense of self has fused with her Little Sister alter ego, might end up using

Things like Wildcat, Elizabeth, Captain, Force Captain, Commander, Horde Scum (every one just using their own kitty nick names for her) etc etc

Because of course, writing a Catradora fic where adora calls catra Little Sister would be. Off-putting

But honestly after all this time none of the names I've come up with have really felt right to put in a longer fic sequence.

More and more I feel like the eerieness of a post-chipped catra who has regained her sense of self and free will, having been given a name when she'd been absorbed into a hive mind, using that name now in the modern day and refusing to hide from that part still inside her could be strong

It would be nice to have a fanfic where like. Adora tries her best to keep catra away from the prime clones because it might be triggering. But also like, catra is actually quite comfortable? I'd be really interesting to have catra recognize and greet specific clones, who look identical to every one else, and to respond to them calling her Little Sister with a smile

Catrapta is my guilty pleasure. I'm a Catradora fan all day, every day, for all time but occasionally I like to slip into a dark alley with a shady man in a trench coat and a fedora and exchange pictures of the purple Hatsune Miku and sad cat kissing.

It’s funny when I re-read my own works the parts that I realize I find really impactful that no one else seems to have noticed lol. In “Opposites Attract” I have this one interaction where Entrapta is texting Catra:

And it sucker punches me every time. Entrapta doesn’t text with capitals and punctuation. I imagine she has too many things going on to care about it and turned the autocorrect features on her phone off.

But she knows that Catra was mad at her, but she doesn’t know why Catra was mad and (kinda like her girlfriend) just assumes she did something wrong. What could it be? Maybe she wasn’t normal enough. Or happy enough. She never said good morning, did she? 

So Entrapta is like, “Okay, mask on time literally and figuratively. I can fix this and then Catra won’t be mad at me anymore and it’ll be fine even if I never understand what just happened. Play it cool, put on that smile and make up for messing up this badly.”

And then she sends that good morning and consciously chooses to make it less like her in the hopes that it’ll be better than if she’d said it originally.
