Okay then, time for my conformed question: What was it like encountering his friends after Snowpoint? Because while he might have some (maybe even most or all) of his memories back I imagine that it's kinda weird after all that time spent in Snowpoint.

I can imagine him feeling almost... a bit detached? But in a more surreal kind of way?? Kinda like meeting up with a friend you haven't talked to in years- not that I would know how that feels but it's what I'm imagining for the thing I'm trying to convey. I hope it made sense...

And as a random observation that I find highly amusing, I want you to know you tagged my last ask as anonymous instead of my username (cause I know that's a thing you do) by accident if you feel like changing it.

yeah, your description is pretty on the nose. in the time that they've been apart, sonic's lived this whole other "life" without his friends. he's grown close to completely new people, and those bonds are just as important to him as those he has with amy, knuckles, and etc. so, when he's reintroduced to the restoration, it's almost... nostalgic?

But who would like Chrysalis? Who would share the same beliefs and hold similar powers to her? Doing the wrong things for the right reasons?

Chrysalis is a queen trying to constantly feed her people so they do not starve. Even if it means invading love filled places, that would be it.

Not to mention, Changelings shapeshift. And what also shifts, albeit not as drastically as an entire body, shall I say... Color?

That’s fair. Like I said, I do think he should’ve been more cautious. But I think upon hearing that this person had a way to potentially save the world kinda blindsided Silver. And besides, what would this guy gain from tricking them? Tbh I do think Silver can be naive but only to an extent. He’s more naive when it comes to believing the best in people but not to a stupid degree. Mephiles said he was there to help and Silver took him at his word, wanting to believe him. Why would he lie anyways?

There's still the problem of Silver not having much interaction beyond Blaze and the Iblis monsters/Iblis itself. That also puts a knock on the block for 'wanting some change', when it turns out someone who only looks vaguely like a person, yet acts nothing like one...

It doesn't matter how many times people insist on this plot point, Mephiles appearing out of nowhere to start rambling about something that vaguely lines up with what Silver wants, Silver and Blaze growing up in picturesque hell (California), where nobody is willing to be even remotely helpful because resources are so scarce you might as well fend for yourself...

Yeah, It feels like you're adding more to what's not there, kind of like I am. The thing is, my own thoughts come from how the game presents Silver's timeline, and expanding on what's there.

I'm not saying this to disagree with you, I'm just stating that why the idea of Silver 'looking for an out' is flawed in a writing sense.

I am inviting you to infodump on Scorcher and what caused him to become that way.

Well it's because of a man made virus that can not be cured and makes a person slowly destroy there body and almost kill themselves. Scorcher found a way to prevent himself from destroying himself, but it was having intense heat. The reason for the fire addiction.

Scorcher out of all the three villains throughout the story he helps out the good guys, cause he ain't evil at all. It's just the virus made it to his head screwing it all up and making him very bipolar and schizophrenia. He also has ADHD and OCD.

He does love being hold and hugged, but from times when he has a lot of open wounds he will hiss at the person to give the clue he is hurt. Meaning he loves being touched till he is badly hurt or is in a state of paranoia.

He only actually killed one person through all the places he blew up and stuff. And that person was Eggman since he created the virus that ruined Scorcher's life and peace. Whenever he actually makes a place go up in blaze he makes sure there isn't any people in there. If there is normal he gets them out, so he has cause people to get hurt, but only one person ever died to his hand.

This is the general information I am willing to share since if I give away any more it would spoil the book! But hope this gives more insight on what happened (if you read the very first chapter of the book, and the end gives insight how he was infected with the virus in the first place lol)

How does Sonic getting his memories back go? Like was it instant, gradual, or a combination of the two where he remembers some things in the moment but it takes awhile for the rest to come back? Depending on your answer, I will conform my next question to it.

it resurfaces in chunks. gradually. as shadow continues to poke and prod at him more and more. the process is... confusing. for sonic. as these new-old memories seem opposed to everything he thinks he knows. his brain might try to make sense of it by being like, oh, that's what i did "before". that was my life "before". until enough pieces fall into place, and the illusion is broken, and he realizes that "now" was manufactured
