steve.." i giggled quietly as he kissed my neck, "steve someone might hear us," i say, pointing to a sleeping robin, dustin, and max. i figured I'd update about these since they were in my last update. UHHHH;;; no clue when they're coming out LMAO. I'm working on them every now and then, but they'll likely be worked on when i have a longer break from school (which kills me high key). Oh.. there's also a new series idea I have written down.. it's actually really goof but I want to watch the show before I really establish anything

That idea that I mentioned being Brienne, Larissa, or Lucifer in my last update ACTUALLY ended up being the Alcina Dimitrescu one I posted yesterday LMAOO. I loved that idea smmmmm like gods it was so fun to write. Still around the 6-ish personal ideas. But (again) I do prioritize my requests.

★ 𝐎𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐫 𝐍𝐨𝐭𝐞𝐬:

i work in sections, my masterlist will be updated with the current title under/with the character that I'm working on

look at my requirements before submitting requests. i've since updated a few things and will continue to do so

my posting schedule is non-existent due to school and work

please remember that I'm in college taking a 5 class course load AND i work, so things can get backed up and i heavily apologize about that. However, this is a hobby for me and I do it on my free time. Sometimes I'll post a lot and other times I'll be taken off the face of the earth.

I'm entering final exam season.. This means I'm not sure if requests will pick up for me or slow down;; it really depends on the schedule and how I feel about the class in question. I'll post another update when the time comes

mephiles (they/them) in this context exists somewhere between timeline A (where metal and semi-modern shadow are from) and timeline B (generally "the multiverse at large", more or less also referring to second chance au).

they are native to timeline A, and are the same mephiles that semi-modern shadow would have dealt with. following the events of 06 and the reset, mephiles is ejected from timeline A into timeline B/the multiverse. due to the nature of the reset/ejection, they are stripped of their memories, only capable of assuming the shadow-lookalike/crystal appearances, and a considerable amount of their power is depleted.

in terms of personality, the reset has them leaning more in the direction of "mephistopheles" (eccentric, theatrical, with time-space powers), than "solaris" (benevolent, caring, with sun-powers). cherry-picking details from various portrayals of mephisto, and taking some liberties here with solaris. i'm going more with the idea that pre-experimentation, they were the typical fantasy god that was largely uninvolved, so more passively benevolent than actively generous, but still fondly regarded these silly little humans having their cute little festivals and whatnot. they protected the village/later city because they were fond of humanity in an abstract sense, but that very much changed as soon as certain humans started experimenting on their proxy (the flame) and understandably got a bit pissed about it. just a bit.

so other than how they were in demeanor pre-experimentation, not much is different in terms of how the story plays out. and rather than being straight up erased from existence, they're just shunted off to some other random corner of the multiverse (not too unlike what happened to metal when sonic yeeted him straight out of the stratosphere).

where they end up is completely isolated. just a random forest in the middle of nowhere. no people. animals avoid them. no company but their own. they're in pain and disoriented. days and days (and more days) pass in total isolation. from their perspective, these moments are the first they've ever experienced.

eventually they do make their way into civilization, and they don't really bother anyone, but the way they carry themselves is just too unsettling. no one trusts them. no one wants to trust them, because the way they phrase things inherently sounds threatening. they don't really get it. they don't understand why no one sticks around. but what they do know is that somehow, even with all these people around now, they're still completely isolated.

when semi-modern shadow starts to get reports about this guy who looks like him or maybe mephiles, eventually he tracks them down. he finds they're more or less harmless, and very, very desperate to be anything but alone. shadow, originally there to stop a potential violent troublemaker, switches gears and offers to take them with him instead. (at least then, if mephiles is only acting, or later regains their memory, shadow will be right there to put an immediate stop to it.)

in a way, the two are already fate-bound. the moment mephiles sinks into semi-modern's literal shadow, they're inextricably linked in a more physical sense. at first, mephiles is completely bound to shadow's literal shadow, and can only go as far as it goes, but over time, they're able to fully leave it and act independently within a certain radius, roughly the size of a modest town or so.

it takes some practice, but eventually they're even able to communicate via thought, or project images to one another. mephiles ends up being like the ultimate mission partner helping shadow gather intel and the like, and some unspoken, honorable member of team dark.

overall, the two settle into a more natural/comfortable dynamic, and both look out for each other in their own ways. mephiles means well, and really can't stand to be alone, after all.

(god only knows what would happen if they were alone for too long again. nothing good, shadow surmises, if the roiling thoughts of dread and desperation that filter through their link on especially quiet nights suggests anything. could they be capable of something like truly holding people hostage for the sake of company or being worshiped again? ... no, that's silly. anyway, this physical link they have is probably just a coincidence.)
