In the heart of Seoul, the bustling city that never slept, TWICE prepared for yet another electrifying performance. The air hummed with anticipation as fans from all corners of the world gathered to witness the magic of their idols. Among the sea of faces that adorned the stadium, Y/N's heart raced with both excitement and a tinge of anxiety.
Y/N had joined TWICE as the youngest member, and while the journey had been a whirlwind of dreams come true, it wasn't without its challenges. As the 10th member, she found herself sandwiched between the experienced and the new. Her singing progress had been one of the reasons she had secured her spot in the group, yet tonight, that very talent had decided to play tricks on her.
It was a crucial point in their set, where TWICE's star had a solo line that she was supposed to deliver with the kind of power that could shake an audience to its core. But tonight, the power seemed to have abandoned her. Every time she tried to belt out the notes, her voice faltered, as if the melody had slipped through her fingers like sand.
Y/N's frustration scaled with each unsuccessful attempt. She knew the others were counting on her, and the thought of letting her fellow members down weighed heavily on her heart. She almost stepped away from the practice room, her vision blurred with tears of frustration.
However, Nayeon and Jeongyeon, the unnie duo of the group, exchanged a knowing look as they noticed their child's frustration. They had seen this look before, the one that whispered of doubts and insecurities. With a shared glance, they left their positions and joined the younger girl by the side of the practice room.
Nayeon - Hey, baby. You know, even the best singers have their off days. It's just a part of being human.
Jeongyeon nodded, her expression soft.
Jeongyeon - Absolutely, kiddo. And it's okay to feel frustrated, but remember, you're not alone in this. We're a family, and we support each other through everything.
The maknae managed a small smile, feeling a bit of the weight on her shoulders lift.
Y/N - Thank you, unnies. I'm just worried about letting everyone down.
Nayeon chuckled, her voice light.
Nayeon - You? Letting us down? Love, you've already proven yourself time and time again. We have no doubts about your talent.
Jeongyeon nodded in agreement.
Jeongyeon - Exactly. And besides, even if things don't go perfectly, we'll still be there with you. We've got your back.
Y/N's heart warmed at their words, a renewed sense of determination filling her chest.
Y/N - This means a lot to me, unnies. I'll do my best!
As Nayeon and Jeongyeon exchanged smiles with Y/N, a new presence entered the scene. It was Jihyo, the group's charismatic leader and an incredible vocal powerhouse herself (I mean- wow). TWICE's angel looked up to her, her eyes reflecting a mix of embarrassment and vulnerability. She had always admired Jihyo's nurturing nature and her undeniable presence that commanded respect.
Jihyo reached out and gently touched her kid's arm.
Jihyo - Hey, it's okay. Can I sit with you for a moment?
Y/N nodded, feeling a lump forming in her throat. They settled on a plush couch, the atmosphere filled with an unspoken understanding. Jihyo's presence was like a soothing balm even if she couldn't even begin to explain how worried she was about her girl, and Y/N found herself instinctively leaning into it.
Jihyo - Is something bothering you, honey?
Y/N - I... I don't know, I've been practising my part, but I just can't seem to hit the notes right tonight. It's frustrating, and I don't want to mess up the performance! *frowns*
Jihyo nodded, her expression empathetic.
Jihyo - You know, not getting everything right is part of being an artist. But you're not alone in this. We're a team, and we support each other through the highs and the lows.
Y/N wiped away a tear that had escaped her eye.
Y/N - I know, but I don't want to drag everyone else down. They're all depending on me.
Jihyo's smile was both reassuring and sincere (kinda motherly too).
Jihyo - You're not dragging anyone down, lovebug. We're here for you, just like you're here for us. And as for your part, let's work on it together.
With a heartwarming determination, Jihyo stood up and offered her hand to TWICE's sunshine.
Jihyo - Come on, let's head back to the practice room babe.
Y/N hesitated for a moment before taking Jihyo's hand. The warmth of her leader's touch was comforting, like a lifeline in the midst of her uncertainty. As they walked back to the practice room, the girl found herself stealing glances at Jihyo. She admired the way Jihyo carried herself, both as a leader and as a best friend.
Back in the practice room, Jihyo sat beside Y/N at the piano. She began to play the melody, and Y/N tentatively joined in. Her voice wavered, but this time, there was a sense of companionship that eased her nerves.
Jihyo's eyes met her dongsang's, and she smiled encouragingly.
Jihyo - You've got this, sweet girl. Believe in yourself, just like we believe in you.
With Jihyo's unwavering support, the maknae sang her part once again. This time, her voice soared, carrying with it a newfound confidence. The notes that had seemed elusive before now flowed effortlessly from her lips.
As they finished the song, Y/N let out a breath she hadn't realized she'd been holding. Jihyo's applause was genuine, her smile radiant.
Jihyo - See? You're amazing, boo. And remember, I'm here whenever you need a little extra support.
Y/N felt a rush of gratitude, a warmth that radiated from her heart.
Y/N - Thank you, Omma Jihyo.
Jihyo's laughter was like music, filling the room with infectious joy.
Jihyo - Omma, huh? I like that. Just remember, we're all family here.
As the concert lights dimmed and TWICE took the stage, Y/N stood among her fellow unnies, her heart brimming with newfound strength. And as she sang her solo part, she felt the echoes of Jihyo's support guiding her every note. The crowd roared in approval, the energy of the moment transcending the challenges that had led to it.
In the end, Y/N learned that even in the face of trouble, the bonds of friendship and the power of encouragement could transform a moment of doubt into a triumph of the heart. And as she gazed out at the sea of cheering fans, she knew that she was not only living her dream but sharing it with a family that would always stand by her side and that made her have only one thought:
I love my dear older sisters.
A/N: I apologise for any errors, English is not my first language. Pls, let me know if there's something wrong, ty for reading <3

Hello, hello, and happy sts, dreams~! I've noticed you have a lot of AU's of the Sky of Shards/Tears of Iron cast, and was wondering if you had a favorite and what makes it stand out to you? What storyline do you feel like each character shines the most in? Which one showcases their dynamics best? And which one has your favorite setting?
Haha that's a wonderful question, Ren, thank you for indulging me. These AUs have been on my mind a lot these days lol.
There are 4 AUs for Tears of Iron right now and each has something else going for them tbh. Hard to pick a favourite, it really depends on the mood and which one gets the focus at the time.
Who we are in the dark is my entry into urban fantasy, with mage gangs and machinations around the city's supernatural community's power. It doesn't have a steady storyline yet, and switches a lot between focusing on Zephyr as a reluctant leader, with inhereted right and power to lead his gang after his dad and brother and focusing on Skye who doesn't care about the mage gangs and their types until her being different from Zephyr starts to be a problem and so she decides to build her own. So it varies between focusing on Zephyr and then in turn on Skye, growing into their power and rivalry.
Season of my enemy has an interesting setting and focuses mainly on Zephyr building a somewhat reluctant conflicted friendship with an enemy, played by Leander. This story focuses mainly on their bond, differences and what makes them resonate together so well. Skye plays here a secondary role as Zephyr's wife and royal advisor, being a source of steady comfort with a flat character arc.
Where the sky ends is special because the story is ready to go in my mind, fully outlined. Combining my Tears of Iron cast with the Stormkeeper one is exciting and there are many very clear scenes for me, dealing with themes like outcasts, being torn between worlds and cultures, peace and war, etc. It focuses more on Zephyr dealing with his growing understanding of an enemy he is supposed to hate and serving as the middle way between three very different kingdoms. Skye represents one of those viewpoints, but it's Zephyr who combines them together.
How black stars rise is nearest to me right now, cause I have been writing it and daydreaming it the most XD. I have made it into a self-indulgent experimental no pressure if this is tropy and cliche to the death story with a very dark tragic start. It's my first ever try at tragedy and sadness and character death and various grief reactions. I'm usually very much against reading and writing these kinds of stories, I want happy edings and major characters to have safe plot armor. Maybe this is me avoiding all these feelings getting a release that makes it special. It's new and weird and easy to write and a challenge all at once. I was a little lost after first 5 scenes (and having written 3 of those), thinking of ending it, but now I got some more ideas where this could go. Skye takes centre stage here as royal advisor and princesses with incredible skill in politics who gains alliances by teaching a foreign princess the ropes. It's all very tense, in the middle of ongoing war, though more about the thoughts and feelings than the actual violent acts.
Anyway, I'm treating all of these as short stories without pressure and to experiment and get to know the characters better. Each story is inspired by a different existing story I wanted to fix by inserting my characters inside, so that's where the new scenes come from before they get integrated into a new and hopefully original enough world and storylines.
This has always been my process, which you probably know XD, but I have never been this open and bold about writing them out, making them public and "official" and actually writing them out. So this is unsteady territory, but also very fun.
I need to get back into writing before getting to the main canon story of Tears of Iron after the exams in june, so these AUs seem like a good warm up at worst, and lots of fun at best.
Thank you for the ask!^^

Tumblr media
It wasn't supposed to happen.
It was one of those 'star-crossed lovers' situations. One of those 'it shouldn't have happened but still it did and now I can't forget about it'.
It was move-in day at Columbia and though you went to another university in the city, you decided to take advantage of the opportunity to see your brother one last time before the both of you were too busy with university.
You were carrying a semi-heavy box marked with 'shoes, left'. You didn't know if this meant that you were supposed to put the box on the left or if this box only contained the left shoe of the pair. You hoped he had another box with 'shoes, right' if the latter were the case.
Your brother wasn't in his dorm room when you finally made it up the three flights of stairs. You could've gotten into the elevator, but you didn't want to occupy it in the case anyone needed it. And walking up stairs is also good for your ass, so you heard.
There were two other guys in the dorm though, one with long blond hair who was hanging up a few metal-band posters and another one with floppy brown hair, a pair of dark glasses perched on his nose.
The blond one kept blabbering on about how fun their semester would be and how many parties they'd go to. The brunette should be lucky he said, cause he knew some people who organized the best parties.
The brunette had turned his head when you entered the room though, a small smile immediately present.
"Think you're in the wrong building," he said, his brows raised, a small smile suppressing a much bigger one. "The girls' dorms are on the other wing, but you're always welcome to stay."
"This is room 312, right?" you said, ignoring the flirty comment made by your brother's future roommate.
"Yeah," the blond now interjected, scanning your face he tried to make sense of your presence in the boys' dorms. "Wait, you very much look like our new roommate, any chance you're related?"
"Ah at least someone who's thinking," you chuckled and put down the box of shoes on the left side of the dorm, next to an empty bed. "But yes, we're siblings."
"Well, I'm Foggy and this is Matt," Foggy said as he jumped down from his bed. "Are you going to Columbia too?"
"No, NYU, just helping my brother move in before we lose track of each other."
"How'd you know I was a girl though, I'm not wearing heels or any floral perfume," you asked Matt, a bit confused as to how he even heard you coming in with Foggy blabbering about.
"Call it intuition," he just smirked, hiding the gleam in his eyes behind the rectangular glasses.
"You are freaky, my dude," Foggy clasped Matt's shoulder as your brother entered the room with another box.
"Why are you talking about freaky stuff already with my sister," your brother looked around the room, trying to guess what kind of conversation he had rolled into.
"Don't worry about it," Matt smiled at him, hoping this wouldn't be the last he saw of you.
Tumblr media
Over the course of undergrad, you saw more of the guys from dorm room 312 than you ever expected.
Foggy had extended a few party invitations to you and your friends too, after realizing how every party seemed to liven up wit your presence.
The addition of a handsome law student that seemed to flirt with you at any given moment was just a cherry on the cake.
You grew incredibly close to Matt. At least once a week, you met up for coffee or he'd swing by on your student job to get a muffin and get some studying done when the hours were slow.
But, even after those fours years of growing to each other like trees growing together in a forest, it still felt like your branches were just inches away from his, just inches away from something you both so badly wanted.
And then after three summers together, there was a point of diversion. The point both of you were quietly dreading, silently avoiding as it kept creeping closer to you.
You had been accepted into an internship position of your dreams, but it also meant saying goodbye for the city, even if it was just for a few months. It means saying goodbye to the person that made the city finally feel like home.
The only sounds in your apartment were the scratching of tape being pulled off the roll and onto your moving boxes. Your whole life in the city, packed up neatly in a few boxes. How surreal could it feel?
Then there was a knock on your door that disturbed the eerie quiet in your apartment.
And it was Matt. Of course it was him. He was a little out of breath from speedily walking through the city, a light blush on his cheeks as he folded his cane when you opened the door for him.
He didn't even need his cane anymore to walk around the apartment. That was how frequently he came over.
He hugged you without saying anything, his palms flattened against your back as he tried to convey everything he felt into the hug, his feelings on the tip of his tongue.
"I wish I could tell you what you are to me," he whispered against your neck. "But I'll tell you when you come back."
"Why not now," you sniffled, knowing the answer but still feeling your heart slowly tearing at the seams.
"You've worked so hard for this," he pulled back, his browns eyes no longer hidden behind the black frames you'd grown to love. "And when you're back, we can work hard on whatever this is."
"You're too good Matt, and too selfless and too good for this world," you wiped away at a tear that rolled down his cheek. "We'll see each other in a few months then."
"It's a promise," he nodded. "I'll be here, waiting for you."
"And I already can't wait to come back."
A promise made, you left for your internship and leaving Matt on the curb of your apartment as he tried his best not to start counting down the days.

Pairing: The Bad Batch x Reader (Polyam)
Summary: You are on a mission with the Batch and you are worried about their safety due to the conditions of this planet. Part 3 to my Bad Batch Polyam series
Warning: some angst
Word Count: 1883
A/N: I’ve been on a writing binge so I’m just dumping stuff onto you guys now and then I might disappear again lol. I’ll try to be consistent tho y’all
Pt II: Guilt of Prosperity, Pt IV: Night on the Town
XXXXXXX
You helped Wrecker and Echo load the ship while waiting for Crosshair and Hunter. Tech was already inside inputting the coordinates to the planet where your assignment was. You handed Wrecker one last thing and then saw the last two of your group walking towards the Havoc Marauder. You all got into the ship and prepared to take off. Once you left the atmosphere, everyone started to move around the ship. You joined Echo in the cockpit, looking over your holopad and connecting it to the ship's communication radio. This helped you keep track of the mission if you needed to be off ship with the others. You sighed, looking over a map of the planet. This planet was known for rapidly changing weather and you were worried about how it would affect everyone.
“Like I told you, cyare, everything will be fine. We’re trained for this. Even as a reg before, I knew how to handle weather changes.”
You hummed, still looking over the planet.
“That map won’t tell you much, darling. I’m running a diagnostic right now and creating a program that may help us track the weather changes while we’re out there.” Tech explained, which caused some weight to lift from your shoulders.
While you were with them on missions, you never really got to go out on the field with them unless they were in a city or a town. The Kaminoans insisted it stays that way and the batch had no objections to such rules when it came to your safety. You decided to let Tech and Echo have the cockpit to themselves, heading into the main part of the ship where Wrecker, Hunter, and Crosshair were doing their own individual tasks. Wrecker was using Gonk as a weight (like usual), Hunter was doing some inventory for the weapons and supplies brought on board, and Crosshair was cleaning the parts of his sniper rifle.
“Hunter…” You stood next to him, “Can’t I go out there with you guys this time?”
“No, mesh’la. You know the rules. We’ll be fine. It’s best if you stay here so we have direct communication with the ship and Kamino through you.”
“But what if we lose connection because of the weather changes?”
“Then at least one of us will be safe.”
You furrowed your brows and looked at him, “What is that supposed to mean?”
Hunter sighed and looked up from the holopad he was holding, “I just mean that at least one of us will be safe and be able to call for help or go back to Kamino to get help. We taught you how to fly the Marauder, so we trust you if anything happens.”
You crossed your arms and turned away, “What if this planet causes a flash flood and washes away the Marauder over a cliff or something?”
Wrecker laughed loudly while placing Gonk down, “You think too much, ad'ika!”
Hunter shook his head and looked at you over your shoulder, “Why are you so worried about this, cyar’ika?”
You huffed and walked away to the shooter's seat, where Crosshair usually stays, but you were the only other person he allowed in there when you weren’t in a firefight. You sat next to the window, looking out at the passing stars, knees close to your chest. Commotion came from the metal ladder leading to the small compartment so you turned to see Crosshair. The two of you have gotten closer ever since the Kenobi incident on Kamino. Everyone, especially his brothers, knew that Crosshair was not a very social or open man. Even in your relationship, Crosshair was not too lovey dovey with you like the others, but you still knew he loved you. He wasn’t a man of many words, but sometimes you weren’t either. The difference between you two was courtesy. You were very compatible with all the boys really. With Hunter, you two were headstrong and caring over others, which sometimes caused conflict over many different things but it made you two stronger. With Echo, you two were empathetic and understanding with many, especially the regs since he once was one and you had come to understand them during your teachings. With Tech, you are always interested in what he tells you and willing to learn a lot from him while he learns from you. With Wrecker, you both had an intense soft side and liked to be goofy when tensions were high (and sometimes at the wrong times), he was just a bit slower than the others but you always had patience. Finally, with Crosshair, the both of you enjoyed each other’s company and didn’t need many words to be comfortable with one another. He was the most misunderstood out of the batch and you didn’t pressure him to try to be something he’s not, which he was grateful for.
You took a moment to look at him as he stood at the entrance before he made his way to you. He crouched down and cupped your face, grazing his thumb against your cheek. He didn’t need to ask the obvious question looming over you.
“I’m sorry… I just-I just get so worried about all of you. And if I lose contact or you all get stuck or lost, I don’t think I could handle being left alone. I was so used to it on Caetum after my parents died, but ever since we all started our relationship. The thought of being alone frightens me. I don’t care about any of the regs or Kaminoans, just all of you…” You explained weakly, tears in your eyes.
Crosshair only nodded and moved closer to you while keeping eye contact, “There’s a blaster hidden in that panel over there. If you lose contact with all of us for more than an hour… you come after us, alright?”
You looked at him for a moment before nodding.
The both of you exited the compartment and made your way to the cockpit. The planet was in view and the ship was about to enter its atmosphere. You sat in your chair and you could feel your chest tighten as you got closer, which caused Hunter to reach over and pat your shoulder tenderly. The ship landed in a small clearing in the forest and the boys got ready to go fulfill the assignment. You looked out the window and saw the sky start to go dark, and Tech’s comm device started to beep rapidly.
“The weather is about to change, we should try to get ahead of it.” Tech suggested, which caused agreement amongst the rest of the batch. You watched as Hunter opened the door before he turned his head to look at you.
“We’ll be back before you know it, mesh’la.”
You nodded once and watched as he walked out then the others followed behind him, bidding you farewell. Crosshair was the last to exit and he looked back at you. You nodded shortly which signalled him to keep going and the doors shut behind him. You rushed to the cockpit and watched as they walked away further into the forest. Wrecker looked back and waved to you before catching up with the others. It was painful waiting for them on the ship, but they made sure to check in every hour or just whenever they needed to know something about the planet. The program to track the weather that Tech made was also inputted into the ship, so you also knew when the weather would change. It had been an hour since their last check in and you were pacing around the cockpit. The mainframe started to beep again, which meant the weather was about to change. You looked out the window and saw snow start to fall, which caused your heart to race more. There had already been a short rainstorm which made the signal to them choppy, so you wondered what the snow would do. Thoughts started to reel through your mind. Should you stay on the ship in case they find a signal? Should you go looking for them? Should you try to relay a message to Kamino? What if you lose a signal first? What if you’re snowed in? What if they get stuck or lost in the snow?
You pressed on the comm radio, “Hello? Hunter? Tech?”
Static.
You sighed and cussed under your breath before heading to the shooter’s chair, lifting the panel, and seeing the blaster Crosshair told you about. You lifted it up gently, feeling the cool metal against your hands. As you admired it, your communication device on your wrist started to go off.
“Mesh’la? Cyare?”
You placed the blaster back in and answered.
“Hunter?”
“We’re almost to the Marauder, get ready to open the hatch!”
You put the panel back over the blaster and rushed to the main part of the ship. You heard the familiar boom of Wrecker’s voice and opened the doors. It slid up and the batch stood there, snow covering their armor. You couldn’t help but smile as they entered the ship, relishing their presence. They looked a bit worn out, so you took care of preparing the ship for take off so they didn’t have to do too much work. After doing that task, your eyes averted toward the window and you were entranced by the snowfall. You fell silent and watched the white flakes cover the trees and slide down the window of the cockpit.
“Mesh’la?” Echo’s voice reached your ears causing you to turn.
“Sorry.”
He smiled gently and engulfed you in a hug as you stood. This shocked you slightly, but you accepted it. The rest of the boys entered the cockpit and you looked to them.
“What happened out there?”
Tech sighed and sat, pulling you into his lap. You immediately knew something was up and looked at all of them confused.
“Boys? What is it?”
There was a moment of silence before Hunter finally spoke.
“When the snow started to fall, we were sure we would get stuck. We thought we could wait it out, but Cross was insistent we keep going… We were hesitant at first, but he told us what you said to him. Then, your voice came out of our comm devices and we knew we had to keep going.”
You furrowed your brows, “You… you kept going because of me?”
Wrecker nodded, “We couldn’t leave you alone.”
“We would never.” Echo added.
Tears pooled in your eyes and you nodded with a smile, “I… I don’t know what to say.”
“Well… when we got close and Hunter contacted you, we realized we couldn’t keep using your name or the pet names we have for you.”
“What do you mean?”
“We mean you need some kind of codename…”
“I was thinking: Beacon.” Tech admitted.
“Boring! What about Inferno?!” Wrecker wondered.
“Wrecker, she’s not a droid.” Echo rolled his eyes. They bickered about your new codename while Hunter talked quietly with Crosshair, then he held up his hand lazily to get everyone else’s attention. You all looked and were very anticipated for what he was going to say.
“Lodestar.” They both finally said. You all looked at each other and nodded in agreement.
“Member of Clone Force 99: Communications Officer Lodestar.”

Deceiving Love
This was a request idea send so all credits for the idea goes to @me-goro Thank you for the request and I promise I’ll try my best :)
Request: Enemy to Lovers where Lou meets y/n for the first time while Lou’s trying to be sneaky because she wants to get information o but Y/N is unknowingly in the way of her getting it.
This is probably not going to be that many chapters maybe a few chapters, more or less fast pace. I tried to get it in a one shot but it would’ve been too long.
I’m so sorry is so long I couldn’t find a stopping point and wanted to get as much info out there as well as introduction for the first chapter. I promise I’ll try not to make them too long in the future lol. I’m bad at finding good ending spots as well as writing characters hating on each other LOL. Fair warning I went for the crashing into each other cliché to create a bad start between them LOL
I haven’t edited it completely so there might be grammatic error and for that I apologize.
Also this is my first Ocean’s 8 Lou Miller story so I’m sorry if this turns out bad 😅
Warnings: None yet except Cursing here and there. bad first impressions if you count that (is that under angst????)

Chapter One
~Lou~
Lou parked in front of the warehouse they had rented out for the job. They made sure to rent it out under a false name to avoid backtracking in case somewhere where to go wrong. They all took a flight to France for a job Debbie insisted they should do. She claimed it a really good job and the pay was good. Personally Lou didn’t needed the extra cash and rejected the job a few times over the course of a week before finally caving in due to Debbie’s persistence. Despite her agreeing she wasn’t happy and had been slightly grouchy she wanted to focus on running her club, upgrading it here and there to make it better and maybe open another club so she was very busy.
If she did this job she had to put all the plans on hold for a while which she was upset about. She had to hire a temporary manager to run her club while she was gone, hell even Tammy tried to tell Debbie to leave Lou be but according to Debbie they’ll get caught if Lou wasn’t there. Lou had been in a bad mood that day and saying a few things that would have hurt Debbie’s feelings if Debbie had been within hearing range only Tammy heard her and the two had a lengthy conversation which made Lou wish she had a strong drink which wasn’t wise thankfully Tammy made her feel better already sensing Lou’s sudden stress. Safe to say after talking to Tammy she agreed on the job better her helping Debbie than having all seven of her friends get caught and arrested. Debbie was more than happy at Lou agreeing to do this job something Lou noticed and had to admit made her happy.
They all walked in the warehouse and looked around except for Lou who walked confidently to a chair and sat down her long legs spread out in front of her. She had already came here a week ago to get the place set up for the team she even set up a spot for nine balls with the equipment the woman needed for the heist so she didn’t needed to explore or look around. Debbie grinned at Lou proud that Lou had set the place up already Lou looked up from her phone giving Debbie a smug smirk before she finished texting her temporary club manager. She put her phone away and looked up knowing the team had gathered and Debbie took the floor.
“So, what are we stealing? You guys haven’t told us.” Amita wondered
Lou lounged back shrugging, “Don’t look at me not even I know.”
“Yo, are they diamonds?” Nine Balls wondered
“Woah, wait you haven’t told Lou?” Constance wondered shocked
“I didn’t wanted her to try and back out if I told her.” Debbie informed them earning a snort from the blonde in question who shoved a piece of gum in her mouth
“Oh now we really wanna know, spill girl what is it?” Nine stated closing the lid of her laptop
Smiling satisfied that she got everyone's attention she turned on the screen projector stating, “Hear me out first.”
The screened turned on and an drawing of three jewels popped up and beside it another image of two crowns popped up. Lou studied the items quickly wondering what was so special about them besides the lack of photograph.
The necklace collar is large and is made out of pure gold hallmarked with roses and harps made out of diamonds put to gatherer alternately. They where tied together with knots made out of pure gold and topaz diamonds. The roses where made out of diamonds and rubies. In the center of the collar was an imperial Jeweled Crown crest surmounting a harp of gold and diamonds. There was a small writing that says they're suppose to be two of them one had the imperial badge crown and the other did not other than that both necklace collars where the exact same.
The second jewel was a Grand Master diamond badge. The badge looked like it was similar to the one hanging off one of the necklaces. the badge is made out of silver containing trefoil in emerald on a ruby cross surrounded by sky blue enamel with rose diamonds writing. The crowned harp was made out of Diamonds and Brazilian stones.
The third Jewel was a simple large star made of gold diamonds and brilliants. it consisting of eight points with four lesser issuing Centre enclosing a cross of ruby and a trefoil of emeralds surrounding a sky blue enamel circle with writing in rose diamonds. The crowns was made out of pure gold, diamonds among with other jewels spread out creating a rather elegant and luxurious pattern.
Lou looked at them than at Debbie and sighed shaking her head looking incredulous. The jewels in the first image where known as the crowned jewels and the crowns where royal crowns from who knows how long ago both of which were stolen at different times ages ago. Lou was very confused as to what Debbie was planning unless Debbie decided to change her profession to treasure hunter.
“Debbie what are those jewels?” Tammy wondered confused
“Yo, what’s with the lack of photo are we downgrading or something?” Nine pointed out
“No we are not downgrading these-,” Debbie began before she was interrupted by Lou
“Those are the Crown jewels that went missing in 1906. The crowns on he right where missing in 1799 both where never seen again.” Lou explained
Debbie nodded slightly surprised Lou knows about them, “Yes, you know what they are?”
“Duh! So Indiana Jones how the fuck are we looking for said jewels are we pulling a Lara Croft or something.” Lou stated sarcastically
“If you would have let me finish Lou instead of interrupting I would have said that there was rumors that the said jewels are no longer missing they supposedly are here in this city in their most popular museum. Unfortunately we need information in order to get it that one one has but probably one person without said information there’s no way we can find them.” Debbie explained
Rose became confused and spoke up shyly, “What are they worth, don’t we usually start off by saying how much the seven of us earn?”
Debbie grinned mischievously and looked at the group proudly, “Today, four-hundred million dollars in today’s money minimum we might easily be able to up the prices due to the simple fact that the they where all stolen long ago and thought to no longer exist.”
“You’re not telling us something.” Lou pointed out casually
Debbie pressed the button on the remote and three pictures popped up, two of them where of two men one older than the other and the third of a woman Lou had to admit was the most beautiful woman she had ever laid eye’s on. She honestly could care less about the pictures of the men she was focused on the woman. Lou noticed you smiled proudly, you eyes shinning with happiness. You where wearing an outfit that was business casual, your hair styled to suit your professional style you where going for. Lou’s eyes flickered to Debbie to find her staring at her smirking smug and Lou cursed softly at being caught she knew that look anywhere. Debbie smug looked at the group and stated casually.
“These three are the ones in charge the younger man is the owner and director his name is Richard Davis, the older man’s name is Liam Moore he is the Curator, and the woman’s name is Y/F/N Y/LN she is the registrar. One or two of them have all the information we need and we need to get it out of them to find it. It’ll be too risky getting it out of Richard Davis and even Liam Moore. Our biggest chances is Y/F/N, she is in charge of what goes in and out of that place. Her job is to literally keep track of all the object, records, authenticity and borrowings so if these jewels are heading to their museum they’ll be passing through her and it'll be her job along with Liam to put them away either on display and hide them.” Debbie explained
“Don’t forget that if she has good relation with the director he’ll be giving her special tasks involving Jewels.” Tammy added earning a nod from Debbie
“So, how do we get this information out of her?” Amita wondered
Debbie grinned eying Lou again earning a sharp glare from Lou which in turn caused Debbie to laugh and look at the confused group who was looking back and forth between them wondering what they missed.
“Well Lou will be getting close to the woman and try to get information out of her she has Lou’s type written all over.” Debbie told them smug
“Like she’ll tell me the information. ‘Hey Miss. Y/L/N where the fuck are you keeping the jewels my team wants to steal them’.” Lou hissed her tone dripping sarcasm
“Please, we need the information.” Constance pleaded pouting Lou narrowed her eyes only causing Constance to pout further finally earning a sigh in defeat from Lou who all but caved she can’t resist Constance pout and she knows it she has a soft spot for the girl.
“Alright, I’ll do it. That was a cheap shot kid,” Lou pointed out getting up earning a beaming smile in return. “How hard can getting information out of her be aren’t people working in museum are boring or uptight as fuck.”
Lou without a word left the building deciding to pay the place a visit she kind of hoped one of the other’s would go in and do that after all Lou’s job was to gather anyone working for them, stealing the objects, making sure everything is going according to plan and have backup plans in case something goes wrong among other things bribing information out of someone wasn’t one of them. Granted a very attractive someone but she wasn’t going to admit that to anyone. Lou sighed realizing is been too long since she’s gotten anyone in her bed and it was starting to show. Lou climbed on a car and drove off following the GPS directions.
~You~
You rushed into the building of your workplace cursing at yourself for forgetting to set up the alarm. You moved to France from your home after finally landing a job that you actually loved for a change. You’ve always been a fan art and Historical artifacts so you began working at a big historical museum in Paris.
You walked into the building passed security and across the huge building waving hi to the security guard. You walked straight to your office that's located towards the back of the building. You barely made it in when your boss who’s also the director and owner of the museum jogged up to you looking like a kid in Christmas and you know something must have happened to get him this excited. The two of you had been friends since you started working there, you where originally the tour guide to the place before he promoted you to the official Registrar of the museum.
"Y/N right on time, we need to talk about something important that just happened." He told you barely able to contain his excitement. You honestly wonder how this man is an adult and owns this place. He is like a child sometimes.
You quirked an eyebrow at him confused, "Sure, what is it?"
He pointed to your office door, "let's go to your office to talk privately. I don't want anyone to overhear.”
Nodding more confused, you opened the door and walked in with him behind you. He closes and locks the door, tugging you into the room making you more confused if possible. The both of you sat across from each other, you barely had the chance to ask again why he was so excited when he handed you two folded piece of paper. Looking confused you opened  the first one and stared at it to find an old drawing of a three jewels. You looked confused when you saw it since it looked like a drawing of the jewels rather than an actual photo.
You looked up at your boss after you studied the two pages and the descriptions of the jewels along with what was used to create them. You remember hearing about these things going missing during a conversation you had with your coworker who was a guide here in the museum. When discussing missing jewelry or historical artifacts he had mentioned several different ancient royal jewels that had gone missing and mentioned these but you weren’t sure what this had to do with anything.
“Richard, do I want to know why you’re showing me these? These aren’t even in our museum I would know is my job to memorize anything and anyone that goes in or out of this place.” You wondered confused
He grinned excitedly, “Yes, They went missing centuries ago and we recently found them again and just so happens that they are secretly on their way here we wont put them on display of course.”
Your eyes widen in shock, “Really? How the hell did you find them?"
He shrugged grinning, "I honestly don't have a clue how they where found the important thing is I got my hands on them before anyone else did. The jewels where stolen and sold in the 1900s someone must have found them recently the crowns where destroyed but turns out they where stolen and hidden. That's as far as I know."
You nodded processing the information for a moment, "okay that makes sense sort of but wouldn’t they be prone to thieves though?”
He chuckled, “Yes, which is why I have a plan which is foul proof. I did not wanted us to suffer the same fate as the Toussaint so I’m going to change a few things here and there around this place but more importantly only you and I will have all the information and location.”
You shook your head at that. Being the only one with specific information only added more stress on you especially if you’re going to be put in charge of it which you knew you where based on the look you where given.
“I’m listening. What’s this infamous information.” you told him slightly sarcastic earning a chuckle
He looked satisfied with your reply and sat back explaining the importance of having the word not get out that those jewels where discovered. He went into greater details on how they where going to get them in the museum, how they where going to be hidden, secured and how they where going to up the security and his crazy idea of adding a few decoys in other locations when you asked why the decoy he looked at you sheepish and said he took the idea from the Met when it was discovered Klugger was wearing a fake so he was borrowing the idea just in case. After he was done explaining which took up an hour or so you looked baffled.
“This better not backfire on us.” you sighed and got up getting ready for work to distract yourself leaving a smug owner in your office.
************
Most of the morning was uneventful and slightly dreadful. There was a tour by a Primary school which was stressful given how some of the kids wanted to run off on their own when their teacher and tour guide was not looking. At one point one of them almost knocked something over since they went past the security point forcing you to run and steady the item and pointing out to the teacher to keep a better eye on her students. You where of curse polite and respectful about it despite your patience being tested.
It wasn’t until the afternoon where everything started to go south. It was a lot busier an old lady freaked out believing that one of the old priceless painting was hers and tried to steal it not to mention she had a cane and smacked you with it a few times until she was escorted away from the area. You where pretty sure you where going to bruise a little. You could not help but wonder how does an old lady able to swing the cane that forcefully. So is safe to say you where in a really bad mood. You walked past the Egyptian wing and paused when you heard a childlike giggle. You walked over just in time to see yet another child trying to get past the safety line and getting inside the security glass. You ran over and stopped him before something tragic happened and fixed the glass. You couldn’t help but glare at the kid. The kid backed up but you grabbed his arm.
“Where are your parents?” You asked in a serious tone he didn’t say anything only pointed to the other side of the Egyptian wing. You walked him over to them to find them both on their phone you tapped their shoulder interrupting the careless parents.
“Yes?” the arrogant mother asked
“Is this your kid?” You asked trying to not sound rude and snap after earning a nod from both you spoke up before they can say anything, “Please keep your kid close to you I just found him nearly knocking over an artifact.”
The father took the kid and narrowed his eyes scolding his son for walking out of their side and misbehaving deciding to punish the kid by taking him home earning a temper tantrum.
“Bill don’t be harsh he didn’t mean it I’m sure we could have paid for the damages.” The mother scolded her husband
You rolled your eyes at that and said, “Yeah, ma’am keep him close and for the record neither of us can afford that thing. Instead of being on your phone how about showing your kid a good time if you payed attention to him he wont have any need to destroy the place. This is the third time I had to stop him.” you turned around and walked off not even bother with civility anymore.
You turned around and stormed off to keep an eye on the rest of the of the museum hoping nothing more will happen. You where in a bad mood and ready to go home. You walked around the corner only to collide with someone causing you to tumble back at that same moment you felt something cold splash all over you. Looking down you realized it was just water.
“Fuck. Watch where you’re walking.” the woman snapped
You glared up at her to find a pair of light blue eyes glaring right back you belonging to a tall platinum blonde woman. You looked down to find her shirt was also wet and she was holding a half empty cup.
“First of all watch where YOU’RE walking, second of all no cellphones and third off I wasn’t the one walking with a cup filled with what ever that was you’re not allowed to have liquids in this section only the lobby’s lounge area blonde.” You snapped right back
“What the fuck I was walking here you’re the one who crashed into me and be glad it was water and I’m allowed to take pictures what kind of fucking museum is this.” the woman snapped
You rolled your eyes, “That’s what bottles of water are for genius.”
That only pissed off the blonde even more, “First of all this use to be soda before I finished it and emptied my water in here second of all fuck you, you’re rude as fuck.”
Both of you glared daggers at each other clearly pissed off. Any other circumstance you would have admired how attractive and how her closed hugged her body just right but not right now. Right now you where actively glaring daggers' at her for being a rude bitch. Why the hell are the hot ones always rude and obnoxious. You wondered
You saw her unlocked phone and narrowed your eyes pointing to a sign, “You can’t take pictures in this section new rule only certain areas are allowed to have pictures taken put that phone away”
“What the fuck. First of all none of the other staffs have said shit the only uptight complaining is you second of all I only took some pictures.” The woman snapped
“I need to check your phone.” You told her. it wasn’t that you where out to get her but it was a rule and this particular area no one was allowed to take pictures ever since last year most museums and locations holding expensive items became more strict
“NO.” The woman all but growled
“I need to see it.” You said beginning to loose your patients you said hell with professionalism and snatched it looking through the pictures she took earning a protest trying to snatch it back and you stopped her with a sharp glare and grabbing her free hand. You found a few pictures of statues that are pretty heavy. You looked suspiciously at the glaring woman and handed her the phone back.
“We don’t allow phones anymore miss. Put that away.” you told her for the second time sharply
Lou glared at you not appreciating the bad treatment, “Why not the other museums allow it and I don’t appreciate having my phone snatched from me.”
“Not anymore. Blame the moron who decided team up with Klugger and steal that Toussaint necklace. Lucky them the insurance agent is dumb as fuck. No one allows phone anymore let along pictures being taken. Now either chug that drink or I’m snatching it with your phone and not returning them.” you warned and stormed off to try and clean up your top leaving a very pissed off blonde behind.
What the fuck is wrong with her? Fucking rude. You thought pissed off. You spoke sharply through your walky-talky’s earpiece to have someone clean up the spill and stormed off to your office deciding it was better do paperwork than to deal with guests.
~Lou~
It wasn’t until you stormed away when Lou realized you where the woman Debbie mentioned that had all the information and cursed at that.
Great, Getting information from someone like her will be nearly impossible. Lou thought glaring at the spot you where just in.
Lou stormed out of the building determined to get something out of you but knew it will be impossible since she knew you will probably keeping a close eye on her after that horrible interaction. Lou got even more angry when she remembered you boldly snatching her phone and probably erasing some of the pictures she had taken from the interesting objects there.
“Fucking rude uptight b.” Lou complained angrily while driving only to be interrupted by her phone. Lou drove towards the warehouse clearly pissed off evident in her feature, her posture was tense, her jawline clenched and she was gripping her steering wheel tightly. She chose to ignore the phone to annoyed to bother with answering.

“Star-gazing was a good idea.” Reggie/Alex. Cause Reggie is a secret astronomy nerd I've decided. good day.
ok uhhh this got stupid long but it’s cute and partially based off of a night i spent stargazing in the desert lol
-x-
Reggie maintains that it's not stealing if the person never finds out. Alex says that stealing is stealing whether you get away with it or not, but Reggie's not listening to him. He's almost entirely sure that his dad won't notice if he takes the car after 11pm, since he's usually passed out by then anyway.
Either way, he's doing it and Alex is just going to have to go along with it.
"Tell me again," Alex says, grunting as he and Reggie push the car down the driveway in neutral in lieu of starting it up and risk waking up his parents, "why we're doing this?"
"Because--" Reggie stumbles a little but manages to keep his grip on both the door and steering wheel, "--it's supposed to be an awesome sight."
"Yeah, but--" Alex groans as Reggie starts to turn the wheel to maneuver the car out of the driveway and onto the street, "--couldn't we have just watched it at the beach or something?"
"No, I told you." Reggie sighs. "Too much light pollution."
"Right…" Alex ducks his head down to roll his eyes, even though Reggie's not even looking at him. They manage to push the car a few houses down before Reggie finally deems it safe to start up.
Alex is already exhausted by the time he slides into the passenger's seat. He has a hard time believing he's going to be awake long enough to see this meteor shower Reggie can't stop talking about.
They drive for over an hour, leaving the city limits and up into the desert. Alex is starting to think Reggie's lost his mind entirely when he suddenly takes a random exit off the highway and starts driving down a seriously dark road.
"Are you--" Alex glances around nervously. "Do you know where you're going?"
"No," Reggie replies happily as he leans forward to stare upwards out of the windshield. "There's not really a designated spot, I'm just trying to get us somewhere the light won't ruin it."
"Right…" Alex clears his throat. This is a recipe for disaster. He may hate horror movies but he's pretty sure there are quite a few that start out just like this.
"Ahh! See?" Reggie points out the window and Alex just manages to catch a glimpse of other cars parked alongside the road as they go by. "We've got the right idea!"
Reggie keeps going for another few minutes and then pulls off to the side of the road. He shuts off the engine and turns to Alex with a smile, but Alex can't really find it in himself to return it.
"Now what?" he asks.
"Now we get out of the car," Reggie says as he unbuckles his seatbelt, "and we look for the meteors!"
"Okay," Alex says with a sigh as he follows suit, unbuckling his seatbelt and climbing out of the car. Reggie opens the rear passenger door and pulls out a blanket, and that brings a smile to Alex's face. "You brought a blanket?"
"Of course." Reggie laughs. "Did you wanna just sit on the ground?"
Reggie shakes his head and starts shaking the blanket out as he makes his way to the rear of the car. Alex meets him there and waits for Reggie to lay the blanket down on the gravel before he sits down beside him.
"Oh, wait!" Reggie suddenly gets up and runs back to the driver's seat, shutting off the headlights and plunging them into total darkness.
Alex, who was just starting to be on board with this whole thing, suddenly feels very nervous. He hears Reggie stumble a little as he makes his way back to the blanket, and he latches onto Reggie's arm as soon as he sits down.
"It's okay," Reggie says with a soft laugh as he pats Alex's arm. "I'm right here."
"I didn't think it'd be so… dark." Alex laughs uneasily. Even the middle of the night in LA is still bright. There's always some light coming from somewhere, but not out here in the desert. Alex's eyes haven't adjusted to the dark yet so he can barely even see Reggie.
"Relax," Reggie says. He lies down on the blanket and Alex awkwardly does the same while keeping a tight grip on Reggie's arm. "Isn't this cool?"
Alex lets out a breath as he looks up at the sky. He's never seen so many stars.
"Wow," he whispers.
"I know," Reggie whispers back.
They lay there in silence for a while, just gazing up at the stars and waiting. Alex isn't entirely sure what they're waiting for but he doesn't want to break the silence. Right when he's starting to get impatient, light shoots across the sky and Reggie gasps in awe.
"Did you see that?!"
"What was that?!"
"A meteor!" Reggie laughs, clapping his hands together. "So cool."
As time passes, more meteors streak across the sky. It's almost like a game, trying to spot them. At one point two pass over them at the same time and Alex hears the reaction from the groups they passed along the road. Reggie was right, this was totally worth it.
"Star-gazing was a good idea," he whispers softly. His grip on Reggie's arm has mostly loosened by now, but it means a lot when Reggie slips his hand into Alex's and squeezes it.

Right Hand Man (Loyal to the End) Pt. 7
Pairing: Damian Wayne x reader
Synopsis: You were like Talia’s daughter. The only thing was that you weren’t and instead, you had grown up in the foster care system and at a young age were taken by and personally trained by Talia. Along the way, you meet Damian and the two of you start to work side by side and eventually, after some time become closer and closer. However, when disaster in the league strikes, you face balancing an old, forgotten life as a normal child and the burden of right hand to the demon heir.
Note: I know that this is long and that there are a good number of time skips, but I didn’t want to make this into a series and just wanted it as a long fic because .... well because I can lol
Also, I didn’t want to have Damian so young in this so just go with it. I’m thinking maybe early 15 or almost 16 at the most. Idk I just don’t like writing for young Dami.
Warnings: mentions of murder, blood, brief mentions of torture but not for long
Word Count:1511
Masterlist for Series
Tumblr media
From the day that you had collapsed, it had been a week. You could tell that the few weeks you had been at the manor had done some good with trust between all parties. Even Bruce was becoming more and more tolerable. You had met Brown who was exceedingly excited to meet you seeing as there would be another girl to level the boys when Batwoman wasn’t around. You and Damian both had started your mandatory six months of training before you could patrol which was going off very well on your end. And now, you were sitting in the living room scrolling through your phone as Damian sat next to you pretty much doing the same. There was suddenly the looming of another presence in the room which caused the two of you to look up.
“I have to inform you two of a gala that I am holding to raise funds for the Gotham City Orphanage. I’m introducing the two of you then to the public, Y/N, I will not be formally adopting you at your own request but you will be included as a family friend.” Bruce explained, “The gala is Friday, starting at 6:30pm. Clothing arrangements will be made and if you have any questions, you may ask one of the boys, Alfred, the girls, or myself at any time.”
Damian merely nodded and watched you fiddle with a golden chain around your neck. He had seen it before but had never questioned it. You always seemed to avoid showing it off at all. When Bruce left though, he asked you about it.
“Is that a new necklace?” He questioned.
“Uh, it’s from my mother and father.” You answered, “Talia let me keep it. I don’t really know why though. It’s kind of like my good luck charm as strange and naïve as that might seem to you.” You pulled from under your shirt to revel a gold chain with a diamond crescent moon and star pendent, “I don’t remember it well, however, I just remember my parents giving to me. The engraving on the back is a bit corny.”
You flipped the pendent over to show a small message relaying that they loved you to the moon and stars. You rolled your eyes a bit at the message but didn’t deny it made you feel closer to them in some way.
“It is very beautiful.” He commented, “You never wore it out. I hardly remember seeing you with it at all.”
“That’s because I always wore it under my suit. I didn’t want it to be stolen under any costs.”
“I’d be surprised of any fool tried.” Damian said making you chuckle.
“I wouldn’t, however I just wouldn’t want to be the one that stole something from me.”
After some time, you had gotten up to make arrangements for shopping with Brown and Gordon. It was important to have their input on what you decided to wear since they have been to galas before and you have not. This time, you were going to a different mall with higher end stores. This was where they swore you would find an outfit to wear. You didn’t doubt them, however you were dubious of whether or not you’d like anything truly.
_______________________________________________________________________
You were sitting at the vanity that was in your bathroom getting ready for the gala along with Brown and Gordon who were at the sink doing their own makeup. You didn’t want to wear any makeup, instead under their request opting for only some mascara. Even with that, you felt entirely different. Stephanie offered to do your eyeshadow but you declined seeing as you didn’t want to look ten years older than you already were. You told her that maybe next time you’d consider but today you just wanted to get a feel for how things worked as well as be as comfortable as possible. She understood what you meant.
_______________________________________________________________________
You and Damian didn’t leave each other side the entire night. Bruce introduced the two of you to everyone there and the prospect of talking to all the people was exhausting and by the end of the night, you were getting anxious to leave. Damian noticed you fiddling with your ring and looking for the nearest exit. That’s when Bruce brought you and Damian over to another man covered head to toe in garments that you thoughts to be more than your entire life over two times. The man smiled at the three of you walking over and loudly greeted your party. You smiled some and shook his hand, introducing yourself but not before getting a strong whiff of something that smelled like the drug they used to use on you in the league. Looking panicked, you searched for either an exit or a bathroom.
“It was lovely to meet you, excuse me.” You said quickly making your escape to the bathroom and into a stall where you immediately started throwing up.
Damian came in after you quickly knowing that he wasn’t technically supposed to be in there. He locked the bathroom door and went to your stall before knocking.
“Y/N.. are you in need of assistance?” He asked.
There wasn’t an answer from your end, instead he just heard faint sniffling which caused him to pick the lock of the stall and come inside. He hugged you from behind and held your hair back if you were sick again, the whole time knowing what caused your reaction. Bruce would have to not invite this person again if you were ever coming to a gala again.
        “I’m sorry... I just can’t-“
“N/N, you don’t have to apologize, you had no idea or preparation for what happened.” Damian said braiding your hair back, “I’ll get you into the car without anyone seeing and you can go to sleep.”
You mumbled an agreement and Damian texted Bruce that he was getting Pennyworth to bring the car to the back. Damian picked you up bridal style and carried you outside and into the backseat where you laid your head in his lap the entire ride. When you got showered and asleep, he stayed since he knew that you’d be having terrible nightmares all night.
_______________________________________________________________________
You woke up the next morning with sunlight streaming in through the curtains in one of your oversized nightshirts that you had gotten with Gordon instead of some dress and heals. Damian was next to you already awake running his fingers through your hair. He immediately stopped when you awoke and sat up.
“How did you sleep last night?” He asked, “After everything I mean.”
“Fine... thank you.” You answered huddling under the covers some like you were almost trying to hide, “About last night, I don’t know what came over me. It was a mistake.”
“You don’t have to take responsibility for this one Y/N. I remember what happened at the league and I know for certain that you do. No one else found out about what happened, I know you take those kinds of things hard.”
“I appreciate it a lot Damian.” You didn’t really know what to say next but Damian started again.
“Y/N, I want you to tell me when something like that is happening. We’re meant to protect each other, not just you to me. I c-care about you more than anyone else, we’ve known each other since we were children. I don’t want anything happening to you for the sake of reputation.”
“I understand that.” You said still thinking about the last part he said, “I care about you too. I-I wouldn’t want to lose you either of anything like that.”
At that point you kind of wanted to just disappear. While you were typically a lot better at words than Damian ever was, today it just seemed harder. You glanced at him for a second to see him blushing. Thinking you said too much, you started to climb out of the bed to bolt for the bathroom to take a long shower.
“Wait, Y/N.” Damian grabbed your wrist, “I have to say this, just from what’s been happening between us recently-“
“Damian you’re killing me with this. I like you a lot, do you like me?”
He looked almost embarrassed with the suddenness of your question. While he was getting to that point, he wasn’t expecting you to be so forward to it.
“I do love you, a lot.” He said.
“Well damn it demon, kiss me finally!”
He chuckled some and did what you said, 15 years of shared trauma and memories attached to the few long seconds it happened.
“I’ve actually been waiting on that for years beloved.” Damian informed you.
“So, my name is beloved now?” You commented snickering some at his comment
“It is.” He nodded, “But, do you want to keep this secret for now?”
“Absolutely. Only if you’re in for it though.”
“I was actually hoping you’d say that.” Damian answered.
“Well my love, let the games begin.” You said getting out of bed and walking to get changed and grab coffee.

8, 17 and 27?
Tumblr media
I-I’ve never received an ask before, please forgive me if I go overboard with my answers.
8. Weapon of choice?
Oh my... I think Republic Commando has made me biased cause I’m gonna go with a DC-17m 😍 Extreme pewpewpew
17. How were you introduced to the fandom?
My dad saw A New Hope in theaters as a kid, so he brought me into the world of Star Wars before I even knew what it was lol. I grew up with the prequels and The Clone Wars and I couldn’t be happier that that era of Star Wars was IT during my childhood 💗 I guess i joined the fandom online when i tried writing fanfic for sw/tcw in 2015 on FFN, but I took a break for a few years. This January I decided to try again and started dappling in the star wars fandom here on Tumblr. I’ve been trying to write my fic for a while now, as well as dapple in fanart, but so far 🤷‍♀️ I’m hoping I can find an audience I suppose!
27. Top 3 planets to visit?
Oh I can’t put too much thought into this otherwise I’ll get depressed that I can’t actually visit these places 😭 These are in order of ones I most desire to visit.
Coruscant: I’ve never been to a BIG city before, and Coruscant kinda fascinates me? Idk I guess cause I grew up in a lot of suburban areas and jumped around a lot, yet never got to see a big city, I’ve always wanted to satisfy that part of my curiosity. And the Jedi Temple is there too hehe
Kashyyyk/Naboo: I can’t decide between the two but both plants are absolutely gorgeous and have terrifying fauna so I desire to explore
Kamino: I desire to run around Kamino kicking those longnecks in the shins
Wow that was actually really fun lol. Thank you @thirsty-void!!! 💕
If anyone wants to ask me more questions feel free!!

Empress Y/N
Empress Y/N (1384 – 1461) was the second emperor of the Baekje kingdom during the early Joseon era and one of the best-known queens of the Joseon dynasty. Born to a consort, the ongju only became the heir to the throne when Gongju Sun, only child of the Baekje emperor and the late empress Shin, became the empress of Goguryeo after her marriage with the Emperor—father of the late crown prince Geum—after his queen’s untimely death. Y/N became the first empress to rule without a king in 1413, until her marriage to her royal guard Park Jimin in 1420. The empress was then succeeded by her son, Park Il-Guk, after she and her husband stepped down the throne in 1446. She died of natural causes in 1461.
Tumblr media
It was a normal day at the temple when the empress suddenly visited. It was dark and silent—the time of the pig[1].
The heavily pregnant empress of Goguryeo, ever the superstitious, approaches the oracle with a careful bow as she cradled her swollen belly. She was due to birth any time.
“Your highness,” greeted the oracle.
“Priestess Cho,” the empress nodded back. “Apologies for having barged in at such an inconvenient time,”
“None-sense, your majesty.” The priestess replied. “The stars have called you here. Who am I to disagree?”
The queen nodded solemnly before setting her hand on her stomach. “I am to birth at any time. I would like you to tell me about my child.”
And tell her she did.
The priestess whispered a prayer as she lit an incense, then closed her eyes.
As if magic, a prophecy tumbled out of her mouth.
A family of greatness
Birthing a child of weakness
As one approaches his end,
A brother prepares to reign.
The queen gasped as tears welled up in her eyes.
She touched her stomach as she felt her child respond to his mother’s touch.
The stars have spoken.
The unborn child will not reach his seventh year, and he will not see his brother crowned as the heir to the throne.
Tumblr media
It had been seven years since then. The country prospered and was better than ever.
The crown prince, Geum, grew up to be a cheerful, kind and intelligent boy. He had an affinity for diplomacy and is exceptionally skilled in warfare and battle strategy. The kingdom loved him.
Prince Yunki, however, was a sad child. Perhaps that was because he was constantly ill and born with a death sentence.
The boy was born with snow white hair, which the queen supposed was the result of his illnesses—though quite unheard of. Despite his affinity for swordsmanship and politics, the boy could barely even wield one.
The queen was disheartened.
Agitated by her son’s fate, the empress once again visits the temple. Once again, she sits across the same oracle.
“Your highness,” greeted the oracle. “You have returned.”
“Priestess Cho. I came for my son,” The queen replied with urgency, no time for pleasantries, “The fates have told you that he will die as his brother ages for the throne.”
“They have.”
“Geum will be groomed for the throne soon,” The queen rushed. “Is the death of Yunki really mapped by the gods?
“No gods, your grace. Stars—the planet. Destiny. Fate. Whatever it is called.”
“Fate dictates the death of my son?”
“Alas, the stars have changed course.” The oracle whispers. “The spirits whisper.”
“What do they say?”
“That your son will be the fiercest king Goguryeo will meet.” The oracle tells. “The emperor that defies fate and destiny.”
“Priestess Cho, forgive me. I was not talking about Geum.”
“Neither am I.” The priestess replied, shocking the queen into silence as she continued. “He will not die tonight, my queen. Not yet. Not for a long while.”
Perhaps the mistake the queen did that night was not to ask what this entailed.
For the following year, the queen was delighted at what she saw.
Yunki loses his illness, recovering at a fast pace. He grew up a strong prince with fair skin, maintaining his white hair, and a sharp gaze. He became strong and fierce.
The queen perished happily that year, joyed at the fact that her son will live. She returned to the planet as her country mourned.
For years to follow, all was well in the kingdom—they had a crown prince who would rule kindly and another who defied fate.
It wasn’t until years later that it all crashed down.
Prince Geum fell in battle, and the emperor died from grief. Prince Yunki immediately ascended to the throne.
The bitter child that he grew up to be, Emperor Yunki became the mad king. All he did was pillage and burn.
That’s what he did to terrorize nearby cities, that’s what he did to eliminate rebels, and that’s what he did to conquer the Kingdom of Silla.
It was because this that fate finally fixed itself—the planet called the whispers[2].
Tumblr media
Min Yoongi was simply… Yoongi.
He didn’t think anything was special about him—well, except for the fact that he was a time-travelling assassin sent to different moments of history to fix details that would change the course of destiny.
It would be nice to see an ancient Korea after the mess I made in America, Yoongi thought as he headed to his mission.
He shuddered at the thought of his previous mission—Yoongi spent two whole years egging Aaron Burr and Alexander Hamilton’s rivalry to end in a duel rather than amicable terms.
Never again.
Shaking his head, Yoongi stepped through time and landed where he needed to, Joseon era—the year 1411.
Yoongi gazed around at the busy street and the lively Goguryeo culture—but that really wasn’t what he’s here for.
Yoongi breathed and nodded to himself.
He was back here to do his mission: assassinate Emperor Yunki and restore the timeline.
Securing his straw hat on his head, Yoongi started to walk through the busy marketplace.
While he did feel weirdly out-of-place, he found that didn’t actually care as long as his cover wasn’t blown.
Three loud bangs on a drum and airy horns were suddenly heard, making him feel alive—Yoongi came at the same time they were playing the Daechwita [3].
Yoongi has always liked music. He liked to play, to listen, to sing and dance and rap. He liked it modern, classical, and traditional—and the Daechwita was one of his favorites. Perhaps it was the ties to his culture.
Intrigued, Yoongi went to watch the captivating performance.
“You really like music, don’t you?” A soft voice hummed next to him. “Obviously, right? A person wouldn’t smile that big while watching the Daechwita if they didn’t like music.”
He turned to see a girl, donned in a plain-looking blue and purple hanbok, tilting her head at him.
Yoongi blinked and turned to leave. “Hey, wait!”
The girl ran after him. “Hello!”
“Goodbye,”
“What’s your name?” The girl persisted, as Yoongi turned to another pathway, his hands in his pockets.
“None of your business.” Yoongi quipped, shooting the girl an irritated gaze.
“Sorry, I just found it really sweet that you were so happy, watching the Daechwita,” the girl continued. “While I do like music too, I really don’t listen to the Daechwita much.”
Yoongi sighed, deciding to humor the girl.
“You’re a commoner, what business do you have listening to the Daechwita?”
“You’re right, nothing!” She smiled.
“Right.”
Yoongi continued walking, vaguely aware of the footsteps following behind him.
“So, what’s your name?”
Yoongi glared at the happy girl, who only smiled back.
“If you refuse tell me, I will call you Daechwita until you do.”
Yoongi huffed and pinched the bridge of his nose in annoyance. “Listen, don’t you have anyone else to bother?”
The girl shrugged. “Not really. Besides, everybody in the country is busy these days.”
At this, Yoongi snapped into attention, turning to the girl to gather intel on his mission. “Why? What’s happening?”
“Wouldn’t you like to know?” The girl snorted before shrugging. “The emperor of Baekje and his… ah… daughters have arrived. The gongju[4] is going to marry the emperor.”
“Emperor Yunki? A wedding?” Yoongi asked. That bastard is getting married?
“Yes.” The girl nodded, smiling.
“Have you seen the emperor yet?” Yoongi asked curiously, taking note of possible locations.
The girl slowly shook her head. “No, I’ve never seen him. I’m just a visitor.”
“From where?” Yoongi asked.
The girl gulped. “Baekje.”
“Ah,” Yoongi nodded. “What was your name again?”
“…Y/N?” The girl replied hesitantly.
So, this is Empress Y/N of Baekje, Yoongi noted before he shrugged. Didn’t know she was this annoying.
“Okay, then.”
He turned to leave.
“Wait, that’s it? That’s your response? To what I just told you?”
He turned his head and raised an eyebrow. “Yes, was I supposed to say anything else?”
The girl’s eyes lighted up. “No!”
Yoongi rolled his eyes and turned to leave when the girl bounded up next to him.
“So, where are you from?”
Yoongi let out an exasperated sigh.
This was going to be a very long day.

LORE GUIDE:
[1] In the Joseon era, people told time via sundials and water clocks. As they did not follow the modern format of time yet, they based off of animals. The time of the pig means 9:00 – 11:00 PM.
[2] Based off of the Final Fantasy 7 remake, Whispers were entities that were meant to keep destiny in line. They appear at instances where destiny could possibly change course and make sure that whatever needs to happen, happens. However, this can be broken as Cloud and his team destroys all entities and changes the past, present and future—altering the timeline and creating a new one.
[3] Daechwita is a genre of Korean tradition music played with snares and woodwind instruments. This is usually performed during marching or when the king is out.
[4] Ongju and Gongju are both princesses. Gongju, however is the daughter of the king and queen—a crown princess. An ongju is the daughter of the king and a consort.

Spamano multi-chapter fanfiction recommendation masterlist!
For all you home-quarantined people that have nothing to do and also because I’ve been meaning on making one of these since 2015 (took a global pandemic to get me started lol)
These fanfics are all with multiple chapters and listed in no particular order. Of course some are better than others, but every single one has its charms! I added only a few with 3 or 4 chapters because i liked them too much not to whereas the rest of the fanfics have at least 5+ chapters. So without further ado, here they are:
Una Notte A Napoli “One night in Naples, by the moon and sea, my heart was stolen by an angel who had forgotten how to fly.” (completed)
Per Sempre Tuo “Lovino Vargas, better known as Romano, is a famous TV actor. He has everything anyone could ever want. The only problem is that the thing he wants, over-night singing sensation Antonio Fernandez, is married.” (completed)
HOVA “The Nova Sagittarius was a ship that would take myself and countless other passengers on a one month trip around our solar system. But things went wrong; the ship changed and just like that, we were stranded. We got to know each other but more than that, we got to know ourselves.” (completed)
What We’d Do Without Gravity  “While lost in a hospital Antonio comes across young terminally ill patient, Lovino Vargas. With Lovino left only six months to live it’s an awful time a romance to blossom between the ill fated pair, but with a bucket list to race through as the clock ticks down, the two find that love is very hard to avoid.” (completed)
Numbered Lithograph “When Lovino starts attending art school with his brother he finds his most important lesson doesn’t come from his professors, but from a culinary student at a sister school: sometimes the flaws hold the beauty.” (completed)
Tienimi Streto “Lovino Vargas is a detective with a poor attitude and a dark past, driven to the side of law by pain and revenge. After his partner quits, he is paired with specially recruited Antonio Carriedo, who becomes something more than just a co-worker. When deaths linked to the Italian start popping up over the city, Lovino begins to question everything he thought he knew.” (on-going)
More than attraction “Antonio says he met his love’s eyes over the bin of tomatoes. Lovino says he was stalked relentlessly until he was forced to give in.” (completed)
Credo “AU, 1502. Fueled by revenge, Lovino Vargas hasn’t failed an assassination job yet - but when a new Spanish captain comes to Rome, killing the unorthodox Antonio Carriedo might just be the death of him.” (completed)
Secret Tunnels from Madrid to Sicily “When Antonio Fernández Carriedo begins work as a professor at a prestigious university in Britain, one of his students, a Sicilian boy who goes by the name Romano, immediately catches his eye. He is a clearly gifted writer, who closes himself off in the wake of a dark and painful history. Even wrapped in his darkness, pushing everyone away, Toni finds himself determined to bring out the potential within Romano…They drag each other into a passionate, inevitable affair–doomed, they know, to end in flames.” (completed)
Why Did it Have to be You? “Lovino’s parents are tired of his horrible behavior, and hire Antonio to babysit him. But time is a cruel mistress, and in absence the heart grows fonder. These are just some of the things Antonio and Lovino will learn.” (completed)
And the Birds Sing No More “Don’t ever leave me.” Lovino said nothing. He allowed the tense heaviness to settle among his shoulders, tighten his lungs, and spread between the space from where he stood to where Antonio was seated lethargically. Antonio’s gaze sharpened. Lovino, inclining his head slightly, whispered, “I won’t.” (completed)
A Dancing Star “Antonio is the easy-going, life-loving art professor and Lovino is the Italian exchange student who walks into his art studio. When Antonio falls in love he thought he only had his job to worry about, but maybe it’s Lovino’s dark secret that’ll push him away. Trigger warning for self-harm and dark themes.” (completed)
Kismet “Lovino learns the hard way that things change and that they can change quickly. The necklace fell and now he’s in a strange land far from home. Will he ever see his brother again? Will he find his way home? Or will he discover home is where the heart is? Fate is a strange woman and can work in mysterious ways.” (completed)
Let that be enough “Lovino had given up hoping for someone who’d care about him. Antonio never expected to fall for the most tormented guy in town. But dark secrets and hidden dangers threatens their blooming relationship. Is it over before it even begun..?” (completed)
Child services “Romano and Feliciano Vargas have just lost their parents. Romano, who is 22, must care for his 6 year old little brother. Enter Antonio Carreido, the agent from Child Services who must record his progress, however, it’s hard for the cheerful Spaniard to keep from falling in love with this little broken down family and with Romano.” (on-going)
Loving a Stranger “You don’t remember, but I know you. We were- I don’t even know how to describe our relationship. That sounds bad, I know. I think you might have been in love with me, although I cannot see why. That’s just what I’ve been told. I acted as though I hated you, but I never did. I was afraid, because you were kind to me. I didn’t know I loved you until you forgot me…“ (completed)
The Many Personalities of Spain “England casts a spell to rid himself of Spain. As expected it goes wrong; leaving Romano to deal with the many personalities of Spain. That sounds like a normal day for Romano, right? It would be if the personalities not had their own personifications.” (on-going)
Daisy Genocide “My name is Lovino Vargas but that’s not who I actually am. I’m my brother. They put his DNA into a little ball of jello and grew me like a house plant. To say it blatantly, I’m a clone and I’m in a disturbing amount of trouble. I’m about to tell the story of my fight to preserve my humanity followed by a vicious history of crime but it’s a secret. Nobody has to know.” (completed)
More Than Meets The Eye “Striving to find approval and meaning, Antonio throws himself into the world of art determined to come out on top. Yet, in all of his searching, burning, and pain, he never thought that a single culinary student could ever manage to tear down his walls and make him face his biggest fear; himself.” (on-going)

Years later the effects are only just coming into play causing more problems than his preservation was supposed to solve. Human AU; T for language; pre-established Spamano.” (on-going)

Truly an artist “Having already completed college, Lovino Vargas lives in Madrid as an artist suffering from severe artist’s block. In one of his visits to his old school he runs into a new teacher, Antonio Fernández Carriedo, who decides he’ll be the one to help Lovino in his endeavor to find himself. However cheerful and optimistic, Lovino still feels there’s more to Antonio than he’s letting on.” (completed)
The Heartbreaker “Sometimes the best things happen unexpectedly. Certainly this is Antonio’s opinion at the moment. The handsome stranger he met upon moving to a new town in Italy seems to be able to do almost no wrong. Until he digs a little deeper below the surface and begins to discover an unsettling reputation. And if the rumours are true, is it wise to trust a man known as ‘The Heartbreaker?” (completed)
We sing, We dance, We eat tomatoes “When Lovino Vargas takes in a starving guitar player called the Curbside Prophet from the streets of Philadelphia, he isn’t expecting the man to tolerate him for more than a couple weeks, much less fall in love with him. Like all things, it ends “Lovino doesn’t want his family to know how much his childhood trauma still affects him and he does a good job at hiding it. That is, until he moves to a new town and meets Antonio, someone he is unable to hide anything from.” (completed)
Disegno e Colore “A young, apprenticing artist, Lovino craves rationality, perfection, and self-possession, and has curated his life to one day attain that. He never expected a chaotic and brash painter to barrel into his life and test everything Lovino thought he wanted and knew of himself, his art, and his heart.” (on going)
Land Beyond Dreams “Antonio is saved from death by someone he’d spoken to only a few times, but who lost his life in the process. Grief-stricken, he only wishes he could have gotten to know his savior, when his dreams suddenly become reality…or are they still only dreams?” (completed)
It’s All Antonio’s Fault “Condoms, footballs to the stomach, fake nurses, confusing hallways, and flying backpacks. Lovino Vargas’s first day at World Academy was already one of his worst, and he could only imagine that it would spiral downwards as he got to know the tomato bastard, otherwise known as Antonio Fernandez Carriedo.” (on-going)
A tale of endurance “Lovino had no idea what to do. Knowing that your life will be over in half a year tends to do that to you. Well, one thing he knew for sure. No one would ever discover this until the day he was pushing daisies. And that was a fact.” (completed)
The Risk of Love “Romano is dead and Spain is broken, spiralling into the deep, blackness of depression. And as he locks himself from the outside world, isolating himself from his friends, from everyone, in his oblivion of pain, Romano find’s he’s the only one who can help. Only, how can useless ghost like him even dream to help the slowly dying love of his life?” (completed)
Dance with me “Lovino Vargas started taking tango lessons completely by accident. Who would have thought that one day he wouldn’t mind those hands roaming over his body? That he would be dancing with his teacher as if there was no one in the room but the two of them?” (on-going)
Fireflies “Lovino was abandoned in Italy with his grandfather at age seven because his parents liked his little brother better than they liked him. On his way back from America, he sits next to a far too happy Spaniard. But, when this childish Spaniard turns out to be his new teacher, what will happen? And with a field trip to Venice on the way, what antics will they get up to?” (on-going)
El Corazón del Pirata “Fate is once kind, twice cruel. And Captain Antonio Fernandez Carriedo does not have a heart, nor does he fall in love with his prisoners. But Lovino Vargas might just be the fuel to his flame - certainly there’s more to him than meets the eye.” (completed)
More Than Lust “Why did the Spaniard always hope for the impossible? That Romano would come to him one day, confessing his feelings, and they would make LOVE? That they would cry out each others names, he could hold the Italian, wake up the next morning, and he would still be there?” (completed)
The Prince and the Pauper “When Prince Feliciano goes missing, it is up to a poor servant boy Romano to step in to take his place and thwart an evil plan to take over the kingdom. However, falling in love was something neither one anticipated. Based off of the Princess and the Pauper.” (completed)
Talking to My Shadow “Lovino spends his life telling doctors about his brother, Feliciano. They hear about his look-alike brother everyday but never see him. Lovino is finally taken to a new physiologist and he meets the doctor’s son, a springy little Spaniard who’s excited to help his new friend, no matter the difficulty. Will this illness mean a life time of seclusion for Lovino or can he win?” (completed)
Spend my time dancing “As much as Lovino loved seeing the upperclassman in his soccer jersey, he’d much rather help him take it off. It’s about time they started playing on the same field. AU. SpaMano. Various others. All’s fair in love and soccer.” (completed)
Maybe, Just Maybe “Romano couldn’t help but be instantly attracted to the stranger on the train, the one with bright green eyes and an unforgettable smile. How could something so simple end up changing his life so much?” (completed)
Dead Alone “Lovino drains the life from anything he touches, seriously. It seems that he’s the embodiment of death while his lively twin brother is his counterpart life. He has isolated himself from everyone, for their own protection. So what happens when a new transfer student decides to take an interest in him his freshman year of high school?” (on-going)
Lovino and the Conquistador “Lovino lived a life of simple pleasures; a good book, his own little world and an odd, but loving, family. However, in order to save his family, he must take their place as prisoner of a hideous beast within a gloomy castle. Based on “Beauty and the Beast” (completed)
Truth Be Told “The Well of Uncomfortable Truths is discovered & deals Spain a hard fact- "Whenever you said you loved him, you didn’t really mean it. You were thinking of his brother. They were empty words.” Can Romano be convinced about whom the Well was talking about?” (completed)
Scaliest “When his entire life is taken from him, Antonio vowed to slay the beast that ruined his life no matter the cost. But on his travels he meets a secretive, sassy bard who might be more helpful than either of them realize. Is vengeance the answer or is there more at stake?” (on-going)
All I’ve lost “Lovino Vargas has slowly fallen into the trap that is Anorexia. He meets Antonio who is a strangely kind kid. Lovino thinks maybe, just maybe…there is hope. Warnings: Depression, anorexia, bulimia, mental illness and bullying.” (completed)
Infection “Antonio didn’t know what to think of the man who randomly showed up in his home… completely naked. Yet, he still found himself drawn to this “Lovino”, only to be thrown into his worst nightmare.” (on-going)
Tomato Angel “What happens when Antonio get’s jealous? (Aftermath of ‘Awesome Being Evil’)” (completed)
Step-Lovers “King Romulus is getting married to Queen Isabel. While the wedding goes smoothly, things don’t go all that smooth for Antonio and Lovino. The heat is especially turned up when it’s decided that there will be a competition for who gets to be heir to the throne.” (completed)
There goes my life “Antonio, 26, a old gourmet chef, a bachelor who’s all party. Lovino a 20 y/o premed student who only has one goal, to be become a doctor. He is determined to let his feelings for the Spaniard fade away, but after receiving devastating news, a drunken one night stand leads to the end of life as Lovino knows it.” (on-going)
Broken Wings, Healed Hearts “Junior Lovino Vargas, a broken angel, has a dark secret he’s determined to keep to himself, now matter how much of an outcast it makes him. But will his new neighbor, Antonio, change that?” (completed)
The Reunion “Light or Dark?” Lovino asked. Feliciano studied him before answering. “Light. Light always wins” When Feliciano Vargas catches the eye of a mysterious man only by the name of “The Lord,” he finds himself and his brother on an adventure ending in Germany’s infamous Black Forest. However, the Lord’s affections are not what they appear to be and Lovino finds himself worried there is a worse threat other than some creep trying to get into his brother’s pants. (on-going)
Slowly But Surely In Love “Lovino Vargas turns fifteen, the age at which the words of peoples’ soul-mates say to them when they first meet is branded onto their wrists. Feliciano has a brand as soon as the hand strikes midnight, but why doesn’t Lovino?” (completed)
Life with Lyrics Lovino Style “Lovino struggles with what he believes is a one-sided crush and his completely oblivious, also entirely too cheerful, brother. Mentions of suicide, but not a death fic!” (completed)
Walking the Line “Maybe stumbling into Walmart in search of supplies during the end of the world wasn’t as good of an idea as Lovino initially thought. Nothing screamed desperate like raiding the aisles of a fucking Walmart for food while a hoard of the undead snarled at him from outside, but that didn’t seem to matter to the armed trio he stumbled into, or more specifically, the odd Spaniard munching on Skittles. His ideas were getting to be pretty lackluster these days.” (ongoing)
Hymn to the Sea “Please, call me Antonio,” he says. “Oh, and Lovino?” “What?” Lovino snaps, a little sharper than he wants when his brain has finally caught up to his embarrassment and he realizes he’s acting like a love-sick child. He finds he still can’t keep up when Antonio’s smile changes into something different: not the friendliness it was earlier nor the comforting warmth it was moments ago. No, this one is affectionate. “I prefer your smile over Feliciano’s any day,” he says, quiet and honest. (completed)
I Can’t Help Falling in Love With You “Throughout the 500 years they spent together, Antonio never stopped reminding Lovino of how special he was, and Lovino never stopped making Antonio the happiest man on earth.” (completed)
Lentamente “Antonio and Lovino are struggling with catastrophic life changes. A traumatic event leaves Antonio scared of his own shadow; a romantic betrayal destroys Lovino’s ability to trust people. And when coping seems impossible, can dance save them?” (completed)
We’d Be Together “Something felt off about Antonio’s new home. The stairs creaked, the windows groaned, and in the mirror he saw a face he didn’t know. The face was young but the gestures old; Toni began a romance untold. He felt an issue new to most… if only he could touch Lovino the ghost.” (completed)
Blessed WIth A Curse “Monsters are real… and they didn’t just hide in your closet or under your bed. Too bad they came in the form of Antonio Fernandez Carriedo- a Spaniard too sexy for his own good. / AU Vampire!AntonioxLovino” (on-going)
Speak  “Lovino is shy. So is Antonio. Oh dear…” (completed)
You Belong With Me “Lovino wished for a lot of things. He wished he had a family or food or fitting clothes or friends but mainly just wished to belong. He doesn’t quite get what he wished for when he meets filthy rich Antonio, who just came from Spain and has settled in the same town as the little thief. Still…it’s a start.” (completed)
The Witch of Sicily “There were still whispers, rumors that the witch of Sicily remained in that forest, cursing all who would come near. It was a place many feared to tread, treated almost as sacred ground. Only fools would dare incite the wrath of the witch by entering that place. Only fools…and pirates.” (on-going)
We the Dreamers “New York City, 1940: Antonio is a recently arrived refugee from Spain, a scarred soldier with firm political convictions. For Lovino, everything is pointless and nothing ever lasts. The two of them live, love and dream desperately, as World War Two threatens to take it all away.” (completed)
Guide Me “After witnessing a startling event, Lovino Vargas finds himself stricken with blindness from a psychological misfortune called ‘conversion disorder’. Without anyone to guide him, he is placed with Antonio Fernandez Carriedo, a novice seeing-eye counselor, who will try to help him regain his sight and if not, teach him how to live in the new dark, lonely world ahead of him.” (completed)
Pirate’s Lullaby “It was the last thing in the world that Lovino Vargas wanted. To fall in love with Antonio Fernandez Carriedo. But when the pirate takes him aboard his ship, Lovino learns that maybe it’s not so bad to be a pirate.” (on-going)
Infamous “Lovino was a childhood actor, but once the show he was a part of got canceled he thought he was free and could leave all the acting and fame up to his brother Feliciano. However, when a 'follow up’ episode is decided upon ten years later, he ends up going back. There he sees a familiar, face; Antonio Carriedo, a singer with his eye on Lovi making normal impossible” (completed)
Guilty Bliss “Lovino has had a drug problem for years that he’s never been able to stop. With his debts getting out of hand, Lovino finds himself in situations that made him wish he had quit.” (completed)
Bottoms Up! “Follow Lovino on his weird and, well, at least quite interesting trip around Europe in order to find out some of the greatest secrets ever about himself, Europe, tomato-shaped alarm clocks and the past of his lovely, but complicated Spanish partner.” (completed)
A Trip To Spain Could Only End In “Lovino is a foreign exchange student in Spain. Things were going just brilliantly before he happened upon a Spanish restaurant in the heart of Madrid where he laid eyes on a certain Spanish Sex God…” (completed)
The Pirates Treasure “Pirate Captain Antonio wants one thing, and one thing only; a mermaid. Boy or girl doesn’t matter, as long as they are royalty and can make him jewels. He’s got his wish, but dealing with this prince is going to be much harder than he thought.” (completed)
Strike a Pose, Fake a Smile “Antonio loves the stage; Romano hates it. So when he’s “convinced” into coming to drama club, he’s not gonna like it. In fact, he’s going to say things that he’ll regret. And because he’s such a good actor, this time Antonio believes him. Uh-oh.” (completed)
A Helping Hand “Antonio owns a cafe low on business. One day a strange boy comes in, running from a group of men and covered in wounds. Antonio offers for him to stay and repay him with work. As payment, the boy Lovino begins to make new dishes to bring more people into the cafe. Who is this boy and why won’t he tell Antonio anything but his name and age?” (completed)
A Beautiful Story “Lovino Romano Vargas is a suicidal designer who is unhappy with his fate. One day, he chances to meet Antonio Fernandez Carriedo, who turns his life upside down.” (completed)
Careless “This year, Antonio had priorities: grades, girlfriend and the Football competition, securing college with his two best friends! But that was before the Vargas moved in with all their drama including kidnapping, threats, and football talents. If anyone asks Lovino, not getting killed would be a clear ecstatic success. He is just what Antonio needed, or not.” (on-going)
This is it for now but I might update this if I get any suggestions, if I remember any fanfic that I missed or if I find any new good ones. If you’re an author and want me to add your fanfic or if you just want to suggest me one don’t be afraid to PM me! (because this is a masterlist after all)

lay us down, we’re in love | Park Jimin | Mafia!AU [cross posted on AO3]
Tumblr media
Masterlist
GOT7 Masterlist
Title taken from “The End of All Things” by Panic! At The Disco.
Genre: angst, heartbreak, bEtRaYaL, violence, unhealthy relationships, guns, threat of violence :(
Pairings: Jimin/Reader
Prompt: Jimin: You know, there was a time that I would have died for you.
Summary: “I meant it every time I said it. And if I said it now, I would still mean it.” You felt him start to shake again and wondered if it was in anger or something different entirely.
(A/N: ok so it’s not bad but it’s not terrible, bear with me. If Jimin seems ooc I’m sorry, I’ve never written for him before this lol.)
.........
What had you done in a past life to deserve this?  Something really fucked up that’s for sure, you thought as you stared down the barrel of a gun. His gun. Park fucking Jimin. The one man that could bring you to your knees if he asked you to kneel, the one man that, if he asked, you would’ve cut your beating heart from your chest. To you, the entire world was fair game if he wanted it (but he hadn’t wanted the world. “Just you.” he’d said, he had smiled so softly at you, then).
And now he stood, a gun pointed at your head with anger and hurt burning in his eyes. He had chased you here, to this broken down building, up 10 flights of stairs until you stood together on the roof. You could’ve pulled out your gun, but you wondered what use it would be. You wondered how it came to this, but the thought went away immediately. You knew. You’d known the second you walked into that party with him tonight that everything would come to an end.
“What now, baby? You gonna jump? Or should I save us both some time and shoot you?” he asked mockingly, the pet name used to make you shiver with bliss but now… now it felt like a punch to the gut. You had never been on the receiving end of his anger before, he had always been so gentle with you. He had always loved you.  From the moment he had first seen you, he always said. There were millions of things you wanted to say to him. I love you. I’m sorry. Things were different when we met, I didn’t love you then. But you knew he wouldn’t hear them. He would only hear lies, or what he thought were lies. Her words were no doubt still reverberating in his mind.
“She doesn’t love you. She was sent to kill you.” Her. That bitch. An ex of his, she was obsessive, narcissistic, and had no idea what the word ‘no’ meant. That much you could tell just by looking at her, but when Jimin had pushed her off when she’d sauntered up to the two of you at dinner one night, she had said she would make him see (she actually spat at you then, you wondered if Jimin would do the same now). See what exactly, you hadn’t known at the time. But now you wish you had killed her when she first put her dainty hands on him.
“What’s wrong, nothing to say, angel?” he snarled, his gun shaking with his anger as he stepped closer. You had felt dread earlier, fear and pain. More pain than you thought you’d be in (you hadn’t meant to let him love you. Wait, no. You had meant to. You just hadn’t counted on loving him back). All you felt now was numb, any pain or regret you felt was trapped under a sheet of ice. You didn’t know what to say anymore. So you decided on something stupid, of course.
“You won’t shoot me.”
“Won’t I? How can you be so sure, Y/n?” the way he said your name, he hissed it like it was something foul, as if he hadn’t hummed it like all the light in the world was held in the syllables of it before now. You blinked a few times, looking away. Maybe he really would kill you, now. You swallowed, maybe you should let him? What would be the point in escaping? They’ll do worse to me if I go back without having completed the mission, they won’t stop until they find me. Neither will he. You wondered if it would be better to die by his hand.
“You won’t shoot me.” you repeated, sounding far less sure of yourself. He scoffed, a dangerous smirk playing on his full lips.
“Oh, I think I just might. But before then, I’m going to ask you some questions and you’re going to answer every. Single. One of them. And if you lie to me, even once, I’ll kill you” he growled, you met his eyes again before giving a slow nod. What’s the worst that could happen if you do? You were trapped between the devil and the deep blue sea, might as well fuck everything else up while you were here.
“Who sent you?” he asked, his voice hard.
“Apollo.” Jimin snarled again at the name. Apollo was his main rival, Jimin had been fighting Apollo for the city for years at this point. They were the two biggest gangs in the city, the most powerful and threatening. They were evenly matched, constantly trying to one up each other. To hear that the woman he loved was working for the one person he hated most in the world must’ve been painful.
“Apollo, of fucking course. Why didn’t I see it coming?” he muttered to himself before fixing his gaze back on you.
“Apollo sent you. He sent you to seduce and kill me? What a fucking cliche.” Jimin scoffed. You said nothing to this, only giving a short nod.
“And when were you to report back to him?” he asked, you stared into his dark eyes and found the beginnings of hatred growing there. You looked away again.
“Look. At. Me. When did you report back to him?” you swallowed again, he had stepped closer. You shook your head.
“I didn’t. I wasn’t supposed to report back until I had completed the mission. He didn’t want to cause any suspicion by constantly having me call back to him, he was sure of my loyalty to him.” Jimin glared at that, you stepped back as he slowly advanced towards you. You were nearing the edge of the roof now, you knew, but you dared not look away from him.
“I bet you thought it was hilarious. I bet you enjoyed it, seeing me so…  in love  with you.” he scoffed again.
“I can’t believe I didn’t see it. See you, for what you were. A snake.” you flinched.
“I can’t believe I ever loved you.” he said, his voice trembled now. Your eyes burned with tears as you stared into his eyes.
“You know, there was a time that I would have died for you. I would’ve given up everything I had for you. There was nothing I wouldn’t have done for you. I would’ve done anything, anything, to see you smile.” you wanted to throw yourself over the edge of the roof, you looked over your shoulder. He seemed to know what you were thinking. He rushed forward and gripped you by your hair, dragging you away from the edge. You cried out at the sudden pain as one of your hands grasped his hand in your hair, and the other held his wrist in a tight grip as he pushed his gun under your chin. He wrenched your head back so your neck was exposed to him.
“You’re not getting off that easy, baby, we’re not done talking.” you held back your tears and clenched your jaw, Jimin dug the gun further into your skin as he stared down at you. The tight grip he had in your hair pulled you into his body, you shut your eyes as he pressed his lips to your ear as if he was going to whisper sweet nothings to you.
“You lied to me, Y/n. You lied. You lied for a year. Did you ever mean it? When you said you loved me, did you ever mean it? Why am I even asking?” he gritted his teeth and dug his forehead into your temple.
“I did.” you whispered, opening your eyes to stare at the dark sky. There weren’t any stars, the moon hid itself behind the clouds as if it were afraid to watch. Jimin stiffened at your words, he started to say something but halted. You could hear him choke on the words with him being so close to you.
“I meant it every time I said it. And if I said it now, I would still mean it.” you felt him start to shake again and wondered if it was in anger or something different entirely.
“I told you not to lie to me.” he whispered, you closed your eyes again as your brow furrowed. A single tear fell from the corner of your eye. You could feel Jimin watching your face closely, his grip in your hair tightened and he pulled you further against him.
“I didn’t.”

When The Party’s Over // Yoon JeonghanxFem reader
//Here is my first post… it’s kinda angsty y'all, sorry lol. It took a lot for me to finally post it, so please be nice to me. Thank you. Hope you enjoy//
This was inspired by “When The Party’s Over” by Billie Eilish.
Word count: 1,747
Warnings: drinking, cursing, mentions of… kinda cheating??? Putting that in just in case.
Tumblr media
The party had been as all parties were. It was loud, it was packed, it was stuffy, and it reeked of alcohol and weed… but it was also one thing you wanted it to be more than anything else. It was a distraction from him. Although he partied a lot too, you made it a mission to be at every party he wasn’t, avoiding him like the plague… and it had worked.
Until now.
You had been moving around the crowded “dance floor” not really dancing, not really standing, just letting yourself be dragged and groped between the group of what seemed like almost 50'ish people. Sweaty limbs meeting your skin and while you usually would rather no one touch you, your low levels of intoxication made it bearable.
That is until he walked in. Swinging the door open in a very Jeonghan manner, 2 24 packs of beer in his arms and a pretty woman trailing not too far behind him. Everyone cheered… except for you.
A soft huff left your lips as you wriggled around people making sure you weren’t seen, looking over your shoulder every few moments only to find that he was already being crowded by friends and admirers that wanted to get any type of interaction from him. Funny how a month and a half ago you would’ve also been up front in that crowd vying for his attention.
You grabbed your thick jacket from the couch you’d set it on and covertly walked toward the sliding glass doors that led to the backyard of the large house, not before managing to take a 12 pack with you.
A soft ding announced the arrival of a text message, but you didn’t care to look at it. You were too busy finding a place around the empty backyard to sit in and ending up choosing one of the lounge chairs by the pool. Any other day, the backyard would have been full with people running around ass naked and drunkenly cannon balling into the warm water… but that day there was snow piling on the grass around it. No one would want to come out when there was heat and dancing and Yoon Jeonghan inside.
No one but you.
You took a beer from your freshly stolen pack and leaned back on your chair staring up at the night sky, no stars in sight, only the moon and the reflection of the artificial city lights. It was peaceful enough; drinking beer alone out in the cold while looking at the fake lights… it wasn’t much different than being inside drinking in the warmth and surrounded by fake friends… you were alone in either of those scenarios anyways.
“Well look who decided to show up.”
That voice sent a chill down your spine but you’d managed to hide any feeling well. Could you say you were surprised that he’d manage to find you? Not really. It was in his nature, no matter how much you hid, it was Yoon Jeonghan that would find you.
“Look at you trying to be edgy alone, drinking by the pool while it’s 15 degrees out. It’s fucking cold-”
“Then go back inside” you managed and opened another beer. “I don’t recall asking you to come out here. Matter of fact, I don’t recall talking to you at all.”
There was silence and then the crunch of snow underneath shoes. To your dismay they were coming closer instead of going away. “So you’re still mad at me.”
A sigh left your lips and you sat up taking your phone out and texting your friend Wonwoo to pick you up from the party if he wasn’t too busy.
A small chuckle left Jeonghan’s lips as he watched you ignore him. It was like seeing you angry made him happy. You weren’t sure if that pissed you off or broke your heart. “Wow, it seems like you use your brain now too… get lost Jeonghan.”
“When will you get over it? I slept with Lina almost what? 2 months ago? I haven’t seen her since.” He said. A small cloud of smoke making it’s way towards you causing you to scrunch your nose.
You stared back up at the sky and closed your eyes wishing he hadn’t mentioned that again. Yet him saying only managed to transport you back to the day.
Walking into your apartment to find clothes scattered around, some clearly belonging to your best friend, Lina, who you’d allowed to crash in your place while she found a place to live. The same one that you’d spent countless of nights telling about the love you felt for Yoon Jeonghan, your childhood best friend.
You had sat in your living room unable to do much other than sit and wait it out as they made a mess of your room. You hadn’t even been able to cry about it. You felt shocked and disgusted and used.
The first to walk out of your room was Jeonghan, around his neck was the very necklace you’d given him when you were kids. A tiny paper airplane that had meant a lot to you both. One identical to his hung from your own neck. And yet, he had it on while he had sex with another woman in your home, on your bed.
“Oh… when did you get here?” He had asked.
“Get out.” You softly said as you stood and walked past him and towards your bedroom where Lina was standing wrapped in your sheets and looking at the ground. “Both of you. Leave.”
“Y-y/n. I can explain.” She managed. But you weren’t going to hear it. With a fistful of her hair you dragged her towards your front door not caring if all she was wearing was the only set of bed-sheets you owned. You were going to throw them out afterwards anyways.
“Hey! Hey! Y/N Chill” Jeonghan’s voice only made you see red.
“Get the fuck out. Don’t fucking talk to me. Get out!” You yelled shoving him out behind Lina. “Don’t ever show your face to me again asshole.”
You were brought back by the slight shift of your chair. Jeonghan had taken a seat right by your feet and he was staring at you. Dark eyes tracing your features. “You cut your hair.” He noted “and you lost weight… are you not ea-”
“I thought I told you I didn’t want to see your face again. What do you want?”
He leaned back and smirked. “For you to stop acting like a baby and start talking to me again. You’ve missed out on some really good parties.”
“Thanks for the offer. But I’ll pass.” You answered as you stood from your seat and grabbed what was left of the 12 pack you’d smuggled out of the party. “Here, keep these, you kinda ruined my drinking mood.” Dropping the beers onto his lap you started towards the sliding doors again, only to be brought to a stop by Jeonghan’s grip on your arm.
“You and I, we weren’t dating.” He mumbled. “You have no reason to be mad at me.”
It took you a few seconds to collect yourself. Were you ready to have that conversation? Did you really want to have that fight?
You did.
“You fucked my best friend, Jeonghan-”
“So what? I’m not your boyfriend. You know how I am.” He grit through his teeth. “It’s no secret that I don’t want a relationship.”
“I wasn’t fucking asking you for one.” You shoved him away from you and glared at him. “I never fucking asked to be your girlfriend… you know how I feel about you, you always have known. I’ve never made it a secret, and although I knew you would never give me what I wanted from you, I expected you to at least be a half decent human being. I expected you to respect me at least a little. Just little enough to not fuck a girl in my own house, on my own fucking bed Jeonghan.”
Fuck.
You were crying. Why were you crying? Jeonghan reached his hand out to you, eyes softened as he realized there was tears on your cheeks. “Y/N-”
“Y/N what?! What now?! You’re gonna push your bullshit ‘I’m bad for you’ agenda again?! You’re gonna say that you warned me? That I should’ve stayed away from you? Fuck you Jeonghan. You keep telling me all these stupid things but you somehow never take responsibility for shit.” Once the words start, you can’t stop them. “Since we were kids you’ve done what you want, you’ve gotten what you want, said what you want without regard for anyone but yourself. You’re selfish, you’re spoiled, you’re a fuckboy, you think you know everything there is to know and somehow I still pushed my feelings away and gave you my friendship… but you don’t know shit about friendship or love. You don’t know shit Jeonghan.”
“What the fuck am I supposed to do?! That’s who I fucking am, Y/N-”
“SAY YOU’RE SORRY JEONGHAN” your voice is loud and shrill and gross, but you want to be heard. “You never say you’re sorry! You never admit you’re wrong Jeonghan!”
His chest is rising and falling as he watches you wipe at your face in anger. “It’s not my fault…” he musters quietly.
You scoff in defeat and stare down at your feet. The chain of your airplane necklace suddenly felt heavy and hot and suffocating. You fingers gripped at the dainty thing and tugged on it hard enough to break the clasp behind your neck. “Yeah… it never is your fault.” You said throwing the necklace at his feet.
“Pick it up.” He ordered.
Behind you the glass door leading to the house opened.
“Y/N?” Your friend Wonwoo was behind you now calling for you, ready to take you back home.
“Pick it up, Y/N.” Jeonghan repeated himself.
You didn’t say a word and made your way towards the familiar form standing next to the house you’d walked out from. “Let’s go” you mumbled between sniffles.
“YAH. Y/N Y/L/N. DON’T TURN YOUR BACK AT ME. PICK THAT FUCKING NECKLACE UP. IF YOU DON'TPICK THAT FUCKING NECKLACE UP WE’RE DONE. THAT’S IT.” He strode towards you but was stopped by Wonwoo’s arm.
“That’s enough… let her go.” Mumbled the taller man before following you back into the house leaving Jeonghan angry and kicking at the chair you’d been sitting in only moments before.
The tiny paper airplane in the grass reflecting the moonlight almost mockingly while Wonwoo’s words repeated in his head like a mantra.
“Let her go.”

Welcome to the Family
So I wanted to give a quick thank you to everyone whose supported this :) I really didn’t expect it, since I’ve been posting on other sites for a couple of years now with barely any response. So it’s very motivating and refreshing to see an active community!
If anyone is interested I do have an account on fanfiction.net and AO3 but I haven’t been super active on there as of late. But if there are any Guardian of the Galaxy fans out there I do have two completed books posted and than a work in progress for that fandom :) Link to my fanfiction.net page and my AO3 page!
Also sorry for updating so late in the day. I’m still working during all the covid craziness and work was hella busy and stressful today. As soon as I got home I crashed for like four hours lol. Hopefully tomorrow will be better and I won’t be so tired.

Never Wanted to be Here Now pt. 3
Clothes had never been that important in Halley’s life; or better yet she should say that fashion had never played an important role in the ex-assassin’s life. Her father was many things but he always made sure she had what she needed. Her clothes had never been worn out or old due to their career they could afford to look nice.  And because of that Halley never really cared about appearances since her lack of impute in the clothing her father picked out for her.
Outside of work, Slade wanted them to look professional, classy, as he put it. Her closet mostly consisted of black shirts and cardigans with the occasional simple black dress. Her pants and shoes were always comfortable as they were always on the move. Never was something flashy or over the top, unless the job called for a little undercover work of course. But practicality was something her father drilled into her from a young age.
It wasn’t until moving into the tower did she really start to see that clothing could be used as a way to express oneself. Kori was more than eager to brighten up the girl’s bleak wardrobe and instantly began filling the girl’s new closet with hand-me-downs that the Tamaranean Princess simply grew out of. It wasn’t particularly what Halley could now recognize as her own taste but at the time she was just appreciative of putting anything on that wasn’t just black.
When Kori insisted on taking her shopping before she was set to move in with Dick’s father, Halley was so used to having just what she needed that she didn’t see the need. But now, she was grateful and somewhat annoyed that she couldn’t wear the clothes she had bought at this exact moment. During her time with the Titans she actually began to get a personality; she actually liked things and knew a decent amount about pop culture; like she actually understood what Star Wars about now.
Wally and Victor had a field day because it was like Starfire all over again. You think storm troopers are the good guys? She remembered Wally’s voice cracking as he could hide his horrified reaction to the revelation that she had never seen the series of films that nearly everyone in the modern world held close to their hearts. She couldn’t count the amount of movie nights they had with her, feeding it to her like it was imperative information that was at the upmost importance for her to learn.
She let her eyes wander to her closet, thinking of the Star Wars t-shirt she picked out during her shopping trip. She remembered running up to the guys eager to show them what she had picked out. She sighed as she remembered the proud look they shot down at her. Her smile from the fond memory faded as she turned back to face the mirror in front of her. Her eyes looked at her appearance, her lips slanted in displeasure. Halley was never one for dramatics’ but maybe Dick was rubbing off on her after all?
Pulling at the tight collar of the white dress shirt, she reached onto her dresser to grab the next item of clothing that would surely make her body itch. Slipping the vest over her head and shoulders, she smoothed the thick navy blue fabric out while looking at the crest of Gotham Academy that was place over her heart. She would rather wear the uniform her father made for her than this. Stop being overdramatic, she cursed herself.
It wasn’t that bad she supposed as she titled her head as if that would change how she looked. It wasn’t that she looked bad, technically she looked fine. The vest surprisingly didn’t make her look frumpy and the plaid, pleated skirt wasn’t too short but also wasn’t awkwardly long, just resting a few inches above her knees. And at least her footwear was comfortable much to her original thoughts. Alfred had called them saddle shoes and the name itself had made her feet already hurt.
Halley just figured that this was the confirmation that this was her life now. Dick had called her the night before, wishing her good luck on her first day of school. Even Kori and Wally cut in, wishing her the same. She could tell they were trying to ease her worries about them, refusing to give her a straight answer when she asked where they were and what they were doing. Frowning again, she let out a sigh, pushing her hair back and off her shoulders.
Should she wear it down? Or up? Braids?
Rolling her eyes, she reached down for her backpack, deciding that her hair looked fine as it was.  It was just school, she told herself. She’d never been to one before but she had some short of idea what it was like.  The guys showed her at least a dozen movies that took place in High Schools. Granted she knew that there’d be no singing, or magic, or burn books, she knew kids her age were mean and terrible. Just look at Jason for example, surely not all of them were that way? But she told herself she’d ignore it all.  She was just there to learn and make Dick happy and that was it.
“You done checking yourself out yet because we’re going to be late for school.” Speaking of the devil, there he was. Halley really hated herself for letting him sneak up on her yet again. Narrowing her eyes at him, she moved away from her mirror and reached towards her backpack. “Oh right, I’m supposed to knock,” Jason pretended to recall, fully remembering the long and stern conversation Bruce gave him about boundaries. He knocked on the doorframe, with a roll of his own eyes.
Halley huffed, slinging the backpack over her shoulders before moving past him, making sure she bumped shoulders with him as she did. Jason turned to follow about to call her out but stopped when he saw her backpack. Sniggering he followed, picking his own up from the floor and putting it on. “You aren’t seriously going to use that thing, are you?”
“Why wouldn’t I?” She questioned, squinting up at him as he matched her pace. They walked side by side down the long hallway until they reached the grand stairway. “Dick gave it to me; it’s a perfectly fine backpack.”
“You can’t wear that! In Gotham? Are you crazy?” Jason laughed again, poking his finger at it and then into her side. “People aren’t too big on Supes over here.”
She jerked her body away from him, bounding down the stairs to get a few steps in front of him. “I’m not that big of a fan either but it’s all I have, so it’ll make due.”
“Alright, you’re funeral.” Jason shrugged, raising his hands in mock surrender. Halley rolled her eyes at him. He was just trying to wind her up before her first day. No one in their right mind would stab someone over a backpack; no one was that stupid.
The pair reached the kitchen, Alfred laying out scrambled eggs and bacon for them. He informed them to eat quickly, as he didn’t want Halley to be late on her first day. Being her first day, she had to get there a little bit earlier to meet her student counselor and receive her schedule, as well as meet the student she was supposed to shadow.
Just as it did on her first morning her, breakfast ended all too quickly and she soon found herself in the back of the car, sitting to the right of Jason this time. Even the drive, which took about thirty minutes, since the Manor was on the outskirts of the city, felt as if it only took a handful of minutes. She was sat in the backseat as Alfred parked the car to let them out. Halley’s eyes widened at the large, imposing building with teenagers scattered about, chattering and laughing. It wasn’t the first time she saw the building, attending the rides with Alfred all of last week but saying that Halley was suddenly feeling dazed would be an understatement.
She jumped as she heard a car door slam and then saw Jason walking around the car. He stopped a foot away from her door, looking impatiently. He was waiting for her. She quickly picked up her backpack, suddenly not wanting him to leave her if he got tired of waiting. He was better than nothing. As she shrugged her bag on, she opened the door but not before quickly thanking Alfred for the ride.
“It was not a problem at all, Miss. Good luck on your first day.” He nodded to her as she closed the door.
She watched as he began to drive away, before turning back to Jason. Her hands instantly pulled down her skirt as they began to walk. She suddenly felt exposed. Was her underwear showing? Why were people staring at her? It only took mere seconds for her to notice it, but the crowds of teens seemed to go silent as she walked back them with Jason. Were those whispered she was hearing. It was the backpack; Jason was right about the-,
“Chill, damn girl, your face is so red right now.” Jason hissed out, tauntingly. He looked her up and down; this girl had issues. “It’s just cause you’re with me. People around here heard Bruce Wayne took in another kid.”
“Oh, so it’s not the backpack?” she said quietly, pushing her hair behind her ears, trying to cool herself off.
The chuckle Jason let out wasn’t like his usual. It seemed genuine and somewhat playful. She looked up at him confused. Jason looked back down, opening the door for them once they reached it. She looked somewhat adorable fretting over everything and shook his head, putting a hand on the said backpack. Gently, he pushed her through the doors.
“I was just messing with you.” He grasped the bag for emphasis before letting it go. They began to walk at an even pace with each other again, Jason clearly leading the way with Halley following like a lost puppy. “I mean it’s a pretty lame backpack, and people are most likely going to call you a giant dork but you won’t get murdered over it.”
Halley glared up at him, before realizing that she reached out and lightly slapped him upside the head. She didn’t know what came over her, it wasn’t like she did it maliciously. It wasn’t done out of rage like when she had slapped him her first day here. She felt this weird playful anger inside her and that’s how her consciousness expressed that sudden feeling. The pair stopped walking, earning looks of annoyance as the people walking behind them nearly walked into them.
Jason’s hand rested on his head where she’d slapped him. Halley opened her mouth to apologize; she’d seen Dick and Kori do that to one another jokingly but that was different. They were a couple, they were close. She and Jason had barely spoke, let alone civilly with each other during her first week with them. But before she could apologize, he just laughed, using his hand that was holding his head to lightly push her shoulder.  “You really are a dork.”
Halley’s face turned red, unsure of how she felt during this situation. Seeing this Jason just shrugged, putting his hands in his pant pockets. Nodded forward, he motioned her to get moving again. He began leading her to the guidance counselor like Bruce told him to make sure he did.
The rest of the walk was silent between them. The halls were loud enough as it were and Halley was just trying to take it all in. She thought since this was supposed to be filled with a bunch of rich kids it’d be a little tamer? She grimaced when she saw a couple practically sucking each other’s faces off against some lockers. Looking away quickly, to not wanting to get caught staring, she kept her eyes facing forward.
Jason did his job and quickly left her, mumbling something about seeing her out front after school. Sighing but not surprised that Jason ditched her as soon as his obligation was up, Halley opened the oak door, entering the room. Looking around, she was greeted by a lady sitting at a desk and a couple of students looking less than thrilled sitting on seats up against a wall. Halley walked up to the desk, clearing her throat to get the lady to look up.
“Hi, I was told to come here. It’s my first day.” She said awkwardly, fidgeting with her backpack strap.
“Name?” the woman sighed, sounding how the kids looked.
“Halley Wil- Wayne.” Halley cursed to herself, quickly correcting her mistake. Putting a smile on her face, which was of course fake, she repeated herself this time with some sort of confidence. “Halley Wayne.”
The woman perked up at that, looking up from her desk and work; Bruce Wayne was a large donor to the school. “Oh yes! Welcome to Gotham Academy, Mrs. Patterson can see you right now, right through those doors.”
Halley raised an eye at the woman’s sudden attitude change but nevertheless thanked her before turning to the doors she pointed too. Inside the woman, her counselor, Mrs. Patterson was just the same. It wasn’t until she spoke her new name did she start to treat her like a human being or well more than one actually. These people were so fake it made her want to escape back to her tower and be locked away from the world again. It didn’t get much better throughout the day and she was beginning to understand why Jason was always in such a bad mood on the car ride home.
She’d been paired up with a tall, black haired girl who seemed nice at first glance but Halley quickly learned that like many of the people here, she was what Dick called a snoot. When the girl finally looked away from her phone, she introduced herself as Sam, but then went back to her phone. The two girl’s shared their homeroom together, Halley still unsure of the concept. They only set in the room for about fifteen minutes as the teacher checked them in and then they left for their first class with a ring of a bell. Did they not trust the students to show up?
Sam showed her to her first class, which they shared together again. Halley half expected for the girl to sit with her but couldn’t say she was shocked to find herself sitting alone in the back of the room the entire class. She could barely follow what was happening; she was halfway through the term and never read the Iliad before, or anything like such before. She obviously she knew how too but she didn’t have much time for reading growing up and ancient Greek epics weren’t something Slade Wilson considered an important part of her education.
As the bell rang, Sam waited impatiently for Halley too collect her things, shoving them into her backpack. When she caught up to her, Sam just looked at her bag and raised an eyebrow, “So you’re into superheroes?”
Halley could sense the distaste laced in her tone and just shrugged, remembering Jason’s warning. “There, um, okay, I guess. I mean if it weren’t for them, who’d save us you know?” She laughed lamely, wanting to slap herself for sounding so, so civilian.
“I guess,” Sam shrugged leading her to her next class.
“It’s really my older brother’s backpack, he let me have it.” She added, abruptly, causing Sam to eye her strangely. Halley awkwardly smiled, turning her face quickly away from the taller girl. Calling Dick her older brother felt weird, never really having a title for him but to the world they were technically siblings and she didn’t know, was trying to sound cool? Gross.
“Ohhhh,” Sam said, looking away from her phone. She suddenly had a look of sudden interest. “You mean Dick Grayson? He’s hot; my sister was in the same grade as him. He came over sometimes for parties and stuff. You’re so lucky you get to live with him, he has like the greatest ass-,”
Halley grimaced as Sam spent the entirety of their walk gushing over her brother. She’d never saw Dick as the way Sam was describing him and it made her slightly uncomfortable. She was glad when Sam dropped her off in front of an open doorway. Sam didn’t share this next class with her, instead stating how she had a slip that allowed her to leave class early to meet her back here so she could show her to her next one.
The rest of the day played out all the same. She’d sit through a tortuous forty-five minutes, learning things she either already knew, or things she knew were useless in the real world. Then in between each class she’d be pestered by Sam. The girl bombarded the new student with questions about Dick Grayson. Eventually, the girl moved on to other topics. Asking if Bruce Wayne really did bring different woman home every night and of course the big how much money does he actually have, question. Even during lunch Sam insisted she sit with her friends and Halley felt as if she stepped right that scene from the Mean Girl’s movie Wally showed her. She knew how this was going to go down and quickly excused herself to use the restroom and never went back, instead opting to ask some nice boy for directions to her next class.  She was restless and agitated.
Her free period was when she found herself finally deciding this whole school thing wasn’t for her. At least in her classes, the time slightly went by quicker. She tried to start her homework, another concept she didn’t understand, but quickly gave up, slamming the textbooks closed.  She blushed when the surrounding students looked at her from the sound and started whispering. Frowning, she quickly picked up her books and left the library, wandering the halls for the rest of the thirty minutes, masterfully avoiding the teachers who she would surely get in trouble with for being in the halls during class; which was another stupid concept.
But despite how her day really went, she still put on a good face when the day was over. She wouldn’t want to come off as ungrateful if she spoke truthfully. Her day was great, and she met a lot of nice people. She didn’t spend her lunch alone in a bathroom stall and she most definitely was looking forward to going back tomorrow.

Doyoung rebel spy!au
doyoung x reader // sci-fi au, fluff, reluctant mission partners to lovers
word count: 1.5k
au masterlist

note: long time no see! here’s the next part of my little star wars nct au series! i’m trying to make these easy to read for people that don’t know star wars, but I’ve been in the fandom for so long i can forget that some of this terminology isn’t general knowledge lol. blasters = space guns and bacta = quick healing med patches
Tumblr media
“Are you coming or not?”
You hear your mission partner call from outside the ship. You snarl as you grab a blaster and exit the ship as well.
“This is a bad idea, Doyoung!” You yell after him as he walks toward the desert town. “We have no idea where we are! How do we know there won’t be any Imperials walking around?”
“Calm down, sweetheart, why would stormtroopers come to such a backwater planet?” Doyoung tells you, casually strolling into the marketplace.
The stalls are bustling with a variety of species, all seemingly in a hurry to go about their business. You didn’t get a very friendly vibe from anyone, but all you needed was to get a part of repair your ship and be on your way.
While you really didn’t want to be here on this run down planet, it was a necessary stop. You were running out of fuel and some of the hyperdrive parts were completely fried from your last jump. You and Doyoung hadn’t expected to run into so much trouble while gathering information for the Rebel Alliance, but at this point, you suppose everything is trouble. Every mission with Doyoung seemed to end in a chase through the stars, and the two of you had only managed to escape because of one too many jumps into hyperspace.
The market is fairly mundane, as people and creatures try to sell their food, ores and tech to anyone who crosses their path. As you search for a place selling ship parts, the hair on the back of your neck stands up. You can just tell that trouble is on it’s way.
You look ahead of you to find Doyoung has already engaged with a vendor. He seems to be using his charm to knock the price down, and you can’t help but feel a smile as his usually annoying charisma comes in handy for once.
You didn’t hate Doyoung, no. You both were fighting for the same things, both having been pilots in the Imperial Academy before running away. With your similar backgrounds, the leaders of your rebel cell decided you would work well together. This was both correct and incorrect.
Statistically, you worked best with Doyoung. The missions were quick, to the point, and you got home with important information and relatively few scratches. But you always fought with Doyoung. It was never anything major, but every time, he somehow managed to piss you off and get you riled up. You were just praying you would get off this planet before you blew your cover.
You finally catch up to Doyoung, hearing him talk in a language you don’t know. He seems to be doing okay though, so you look around a bit as he makes the trade.
Out of the corner of your eye, you spot a speck of white in the midst of the dull browns and greys of the market. Your eyes widen as you see two stormtroopers emerge from a building.
“Doyoung, we gotta go.” You grab his wrist, startling him in the middle of a sentence. He looks over to where your eyes are trained and you assume he offers the creature a farewell before you take off at a fast pace towards the ship.
“Where the hell are we? Why are those bucket heads on every goddamn planet?” You snarl, making your way through the crowds of people.
“Haven’t you noticed we are fighting an Empire that rules the whole galaxy? Of course there are stormtroopers everywhere!” Doyoung calls behind you.
You’re about to argue back to him, but almost trip over a canister in the middle of the road. You weave around a corner, coming closer and closer to the spaceport holding your ship. You thank every star above that the repair you bought parts for can be made while taking off.
You look behind you to find the troopers hot on your tail, with Doyoung just a few steps behind you. Just as you catch his eye in your glance back, one of the troopers manages to hit his shoulder, causing your partner to cry out. He doesn’t stop running, though, instead catching up to you and making a covert turn so that the troopers are momentarily caught off guard.
The two of you make a few more turns, leading to a completely abandoned alleyway. You don’t have much time but you pause to inspect Doyoung’s injury.
“How bad is your shoulder? We have some bacta patches on the ship, we just have to hurry-”
“It’s not that bad,” Doyoung says, while he holds onto his injury, “But, I need to tell you something important.”
“Important?” you ask, “How important? Because we don’t have a lot of time.”
You know Doyoung’s injury is worse than he is telling you, and you know he isn’t someone who shows his pain. But there is a fear in his eyes. His skin is paler than it normally is, and he wobbles where he stands.
“Please, listen, I just- I need to tell you somet-” Doyoung never finishes his sentence, as he passes out. You are barely close enough to catch him, but after some jostling, you manage to secure your arms around his torso.
Panic sets in as you hear blaster shots a few roads away. You begin to drag your partner along as fast as you can, seeing the space port entry just a few yards away. It’s certainly not the most graceful thing, but soon enough you are setting Doyoung’s unconscious form in the medbay corner of your ship as you pilot yourself out of the city.
It doesn’t take long to exit the atmosphere, so you set up auto-pilot and fix the repair that caused this whole mess in the first place. It’s a quick fix, and you are soon traveling through hyperspace.
Doyoung is still unconscious when you return to him. You find the bacta patches and turn him over gently, removing his shirt and vest to get a better look at the injury. It’s not the worst you’ve ever seen, so you know with the right treatments it will heal in a few days. You press the patches onto his shoulder blade, hearing a seer of pain escape his mouth.
“Are you awake, or do you still wanna pretend like you’re dying?” You ask him, as he tries to sit up.
He coughs for a moment, so you find some water for him as he further wakes up. You stand silently watching the muscles along his neck as he drinks, suddenly reminded of the fact that you tore his shirt in order to apply the bacta.
You hadn’t thought about it at the time, but now that he’s awake, you start to feel flustered. Doyoung doesn’t seem to notice, though, as his eyes stare off into space somewhat intently.
He seems to notice you staring, as he shakes his head and gives you a small smile, “Thank you for getting me all the way back here.”
“It’s no problem,” you reply, “I apologize for any bruises that might appear due to dragging you.”
He lets out a chuckle, his eyes shining with appreciation. But something is still missing.
“Are you okay?” you ask, a bit hesitant. “Not just the shoulder injury, but in general? You were kinda manic before you passed out on me.”
Doyoung is quiet for a moment. You decide to sit next to him on the med table, equally silent.
“I haven’t gotten shot in a while,” he tells you. “I started panicking because I was afraid I wouldn’t be able to tell you….”
“Tell me what?”
“I like you.”
He says it so softly, you barely hear it. He says it so bluntly, you barely believe it. You turn to look him in the eyes, and you find Doyoung’s face to be at peace, staring with a quiet smile settled upon his lips.
“You like me?” you ask, making sure you heard correctly.
“Yeah, I do.”
You can’t help the way your face scrunches up, “Since when? How? We always fight…”
He runs his hand lightly down your forearm in an affectionate way. “Sure, we have our arguments, but we make a good team.” he tells you, “I like that you always seem to know what I’m thinking before I do.”
“Oh.”
You don’t really know what else to say. Your mission partner who you have reluctantly found yourself getting close to has turned your world upside down.
Doyoung pulls you out of your thoughts again as he asks, “Can you tell what I’m thinking about right now?”
Tilting your head, you hate to admit that you can tell. His gaze roams around your face, settling on your mouth. You slowly look to his own.
His lips twitch up into a bright smile before he softly connects to yours. It’s light and chaste, but your head spins. Suddenly your partner in crime seems like he might be more after all.

I really care about your opinion, how do you feel about the bbc show and the way it's going?
I feel like before I give my take, I need to say that I understand the show is its own thing, and while I do wish they did a better job adapting certain things, I understand that sometimes there is a need for radical change or cut, especially when your budget is not super high (which HDM does have a lot of money into it, still is not a super big budget production, so they have to worry about these things). And I do enjoy many things about the show, but my overall vibe is mixed, to be honest. I’m stating this now because people often question whether I like the show or not, becaus I do criticise it a lot, and I simply have a critic view of the things I like, which is why I discuss them a lot and it can be overwhelming.
My main issues with the show are these 3 things: (which I’ll put under the cut because this got a bit longer than I wanted to lmao sorry)
Lack of worldbuilding and loose lore: I’ve been talking about this since day one, and this mostly applies to season 1 because I can’t judge season 2 yet because it’s not fully aired yet, but the show suffers from lack of worldbuilding, especially in Lyra’s world, which is the world that sets everything in motion. I still dislike the fact they introduced Will mid-NL, I don’t think he needed all those episodes to establish something that easily could’ve been done in S2 and because they gave TSK a lot of time, other parts of Lyra’s world suffered considerably, mainly the witches and the Magisterium.
The show doesn’t really expand on those two groups, especially, and I think that’s not good, especially the Magisterium (which they have over simplified by making it one big baddie, or so it seems at least, not to mention that implying a single leader for them practically ruins Marcel Delamare’s arc in TBOD and I’m very mad about that lmao). A lot of the Magisterium plot has that infighting aspect, which creates tension on their side as well as against their enemies, but the show doesn’t really explore that or the nuances of the Church, and they also don’t explore how varied the witches are, and I feel like this is a serious mistake. (The portrayal of the witches is by far my least favourite thing in the show, if I’m being honest).
Dull parallel world (and lack of daemons): this ties a bit with the worldbuilding aspect, but this is mainly about design choices. I think the show doesn’t make Lyra’s world as unique as it should be. On its own the world looks pretty and the outfits of most of the cast are great, but when you realise that Will’s world is intertwined with that, you don’t really feel like these two worlds are vastly different.
There is an odd situation in which Marisa’s fashion feels 30s/40s, but most of the men from her social circle (not fair to compare with the gyptians) just wear plain suits and they look much more modern. And while I get that they went for a timeless vibes, with different eras and styles, Lyra’s world feels like a caricature and it doesn’t feel believable. The colour palette is mostly the same for both worlds (even in s2, it’s hard to tell much of the difference because either the scenes are indoors or at night.) This, paired with the lack of daemons (which has been discussed many times in the fandom) kinda bums me out.
Marisa’s oversimplification: I’m mentioning Marisa, specifically, because she is the one that suffers the most due to this writing issues, but other characters like Lord Asriel, MacPhail, the general collective of the Witches, they all suffer from the writing trying to take away the nuances of them and make them flatter than in the book. Marisa is the worst because without her complexity and her flaws, she simply gets dull and boring and flavourless, and it’s kinda what has been happening in the show in my opinion. All she does is weep and she has no strength that doesn’t rely on a random fit of rage that dies out and she gets upset. There’s some great moments, like when she mimics the Monkey, but most of the time she’s just a shadow of who she is supposed to be.
The show tries really hard to make her a Scorned Mother - right from the get go, they try to makes us see how she wants Lyra, how she struggles with her “bad nature” and how that affects their relationship. There is this lingering implication that Lyra was taken from her against her wishes; they make it seem like being a mother to Lyra is her driving force, the only reason why she seeks power and influence. And that is the opposite of Book! Marisa, who is a force of nature, ruthless and ambitious, with not an ounce of maternal instinct.
She does eventually decide to help Lyra, instead of harming her, but even that action comes from a narcisistic place: Lyra is to her a possession, something that belongs to her, and that she wants to preserve. The show just handles her badly, falling into overused, boring tropes that struck far from the book version.
These are usually my main complaints about the show, and they upset me every episode to the point I’m practically ignoring them now lmao The show does a lot of good things too, making Will less of a prick, restoring Lyra’s personality from the first book into S2 Lyra (so far, please keep it that way), Mary is looking great too. They have mostly a great cast, and they did improve the daemons this season (except uh, there are far less daemons to show because of the other worlds - and the Ruta Skadi daemon change pisses me off tbh).
They do have a lot of interest in the show, but the writing (the main issue to me) feels clunky and childish, with the show toning down most of the themes that make His Dark Materials so special, especially to me (which frankly I expected them to do, but it still stings a bit). They make the Magisterium a single bad entity that feels more Authoritarian-Fascist, than a theocracy (even if they sneak in the religious symbols and rituals and garments, it’s just not a good portrayal, it’s very tame and shy); and they try to justify Marisa’s actions (especially in current interviews, there’s lots of talk about how her background will play in the show to “explain why she is the way she is”). The fact the Magisterium is portrayed as pure evil makes it looks less familiar than it should be, and therefore they don’t look scary, they seem like a caricature, a joke.
A lot of the essence of the characters get lost, and the core message of the story too, like when Iorek and the Gyptians tell Lyra she can be one of them, to support her lack of “proper family”, when that is the opposite of the books message. It doesn’t make sense for them to change that, other than maybe Jack Thorne wanted to because it makes the story feels less hopeless, but it’s why he fails to adapt these character - he doesn’t capture the essence, he tries to write these character with gaps in them.
However, the thing that annoys me the most is how they portray Asriel. It’s just... it’s bad. Really bad, which is a shame cause James is talented as fuck, but he had little time to film for season 1, and then they portrayed him very poorly. That scene when he addresses Roger in episode 7 is ridiculous, Asriel would never behave that way; there was relief in him finding Roger was there too, yes, but not to that extent and not in such a cringe way. Asriel is not deranged or irrational, he is a man on a mission, and Roger was a tool (there is no pleasure in Asriel taking his life and no excuses - it needed to be done and he did it); they just needed him to sound creepy in the show for whatever reason.
I hated how they handled the bridge scene for Asriel, Lyra and Marisa, but that’s long and complicated for me to explain here. In S2, there has been some mentions of him so far, including the implication he might have ruined Cittàgazze himself and I frankly don’t understand where did they get that idea. But the cherry on the top was Thorold telling Marisa that Asriel was gonna kill Lyra and that’s just-- that’s so dumb. That’s genuinely dumb writing, because Thorold knows Lyra followed Asriel to the mountain, and while I do believe Asriel would have killed Lyra if Roger wasn’t there, there is no way Thorold should know or consider that Asriel was gonna hurt Lyra, because Roger was there. In fact, Thorold’s interactions with Asriel in episode 8 already disprove this, so either Thorold was lying in S2 for the sake of, I don’t know, chaos or whatever, or the person who wrote this was a five-star, solid gold, fucking moron.
I’m not gonna mention the lost episode because that was no one’s fault, but the fact that they discarded an episode that all information we have on imply that it was important to set up the backstory of the angels and the city, it’s... concerning. It means they wrote something parallel that should’ve been woven into the season.
The truth is, I still watch the show on Sundays, and I still like some stuff they do (especially Mary’s stuff, so far), and despite me slandering the show per your request anon lol (cause unfortunately my honest opinion is mixed, I just don’t try to overfocus on the negative on Tumblr, I mostly talk about it on discord or private), I do think anyone who has read the books should watch the show.
For me, personally, everything I love about HDM is barely on the show - complex characters, the philosophy, the oppression by religion, the interesting world - and the vibe I get is that they’re adapting a coming-of-age love story, which is the last and - being fully honest - the least important message these books give us, but unfortunately they were set to making a family show from the start, and my expectations were high and unmatched, and a family is what we’re getting: toned down, cute, pretty visuals and soulless (heh, pun intended), philosophically speaking. I expect a certain pattern going into S3, but I always like to hold out hope that they will hire better writers (apparently Jack Thorne already wrote 4 scripts, so there you go lmao), and try to give HDM the adaptation it deserves. The truth is, if you’re a picky, canon reliant person like I am, the show might be a struggle, but if you just like the story for the teen romance, or if you don’t care about overthinking a show/book, then most people can have a good time with it.
