Thinking of...
A Secret Relationship with Lucifer!
Lucifer and you didn't mean for it to be a secret! Honest! It just is easier this way sometimes
Lucifer and you just kinda fell in love slowly till one day you two just kissed, and things kinda happened
So now you love each other in private, which is what would happen anyways
Lucifer, who invites you into his office after you have done something to warrant "getting in trouble" for a lecture, buts it's really to hang out
Lucifer, who you help diligently with the Sisyphean task that is his paperwork in hopes that he can get a day off, or at least go to bed on time
Lucifer, who you unwillingly say goodnight to because if you stayed the night in there his brothers would start to notice
Lucifer, who loves to kiss you quickly when no one is looking and walks away like nothing happened and leaves you breathless
Lucifer, who allows you to take pictures of him but if they get leaked he will not be happy. Those pictures better be underneath lock and key
Lucifer, who slowly wishes he could hold your waist and keep you close to his side when he watches a demon flirt with you in the halls
Lucifer, who wonders if the convenience of keeping this secret outweighs the want of showing you off
Lucifer, who then thinks about how willingly you allowed your relationship be kept locked away in his office, shunned in the shadows, because it makes him happy
Lucifer, whose noticed how you wish to kiss him, hold his hand, slot your body next to his sometimes, but you restrain yourself
Lucifer, who finally tells you that he's tired of not being able to show you off like you deserve. Your not a dirty secret, your his lover, and he takes pride in you as much as himself
Lucifer, who at the next big public event Diavolo insisted on having, decided to have the two of you match
Lucifer, who dances the first dance with you, despite all of his brothers protests
Lucifer, who at the end, pulls you into a dip and kisses you, infront of everyone, because they need to know your his, and he is yours

I could be way off base, but I have been thinking about this since she said this and trying to figure out what moral? At the time, the best they could figure would be to follow Alyx’s path, but not make the mistakes she made. We now know not only was the story changed from what Jaune was there for, but Alyx wasn’t like the girl who’s in the story.
If there is some “moral” to be learned here, I did wonder if it was to respect and understand different people. Because that’s something up until this current chapter NONE of our main cast have done. RW.BY have been operating out of a story with people as a means to an end. They aren’t really people in their own right, just a way to progress forward. They never really ask anything about the Afterans, outside of asking Curious about ascension, and it’s not like they are a reliable source of information since they seem to have the ability to influence Afteran’s will and only will answer what is asked.
Jaune mentioned that Alyx was cruel and didn’t think the rules applied to her, and while they’ve not been cruel about it we’ve not seen anyone from Remnant treat the Afterans like actual people until (R)WBY listens to the Paper Pleasers. @professorspork spoke about Blake caring about the Paper Pleasers and speaking up for them, and it’s really the first time any of them think about the lives of the people there and not just getting home… Not that Jaune or Ruby agree that they are people.
Just because it’s a fairy-tale to them doesn’t mean it’s not real to the people there. It doesn’t mean they don’t have full lives, even if the visitors of Remnant don’t understand or agree with their culture. Ever After has shown Blake specifically that her culture is very important to her, and if there is some moral to be gained by Blake in this “story” is that understanding different cultures only enhances everyone and leads to greater cooperation. Almost like that’s a goal of hers...

I say a lot that Wash isn't empathetic when talking about people giving him Carolina's personality, but I don't think that really explains my thinking. Empathy is too vague of a concept in discussion of character.
Wash cares a lot about people. Wash cares so much it hurts. He trains the Chorusans without being asked, on his own initiative. He doesn't leave the reds and blues at the first sign of trouble. He's traumatized by violence by his own hand that he still agrees with the logic of, he remembers what he's done to people and while he doesn't regret it, it still haunts him. He doesn't want to care so bad but he does, he cares so much that violence against relative strangers hurts. Even if it was his best choice. Even if it was his only choice.
Carolina doesn't want people to know violence like she does. Carolina wants to tackle the whole world to keep it away from the ones she loves. Carolina wants to be the one to handle everything, to keep war off the doorstep.
Washington knows violence, and well. He thinks it is something that sometimes is the best option. He knows how to make the people he loves capable of protecting themselves. So he does.
Carolina is someone who wants to protect. Washington is someone who wants to teach people to protect themselves. Carolina wants to be the one to offer shelter in the rain. Washington wants to burn the fire so hot and so bright the rain evaporates before it can ever touch them, so hot it never even comes down, so bright no one could ever get lost. And he wants to teach everyone he cares for just how to do it, too.
Just in case it ever rains.
