I'm convinced that the mental load doesn't just exist in romantic relationships, but in work life too. Our bosses know exactly that if they don't solve a problem or they mess up, their employees will figure something out and save their asses. Cause it's them who'd get in trouble.

Last week my boss told me he'd bring me the current test car this week. I'm at the office on Tuesdays and Wednesdays. On Tuesday he approached me like "you can take pics, let me just get the car ready for a second". Which confused me cause the car wasn't in the parking lot. And of course he returned 5 minutes later like "whoops, I forgot I didn't bring the car." He then figured out he'd have to bring it in the next day and told me he would Of course neither my boss nor the car showed up at all yesterday.

All this was prefaced by me asking the boss last week if the car even arrived, he was like "oh yes, I have it at home... maybe I should've brought it with me so you could take pics, right?"

And since his mistakes are my problem and I knew from the start how reliable he is, I already downloaded pics of the car model in question from their press page.

#office life #oh and at the same time boss 2 (they're brothers) apparently got himself a test car too and didn't tell me #and then he went on vacation without telling anyone #so at the moment there are two mystery cars that I've never seen #wonderful :) #but I don't even know what model boss 2's car is so I can't download any pics yet #I might be able to take pics of that one on Tuesday though #but boss 2 is about as competent as boss 1. Haha, I almost forgot that one time in my early 20s when I still thought I could write and submitted something to some website that was like some writer community where you had to get approved to join.

And I was rejected cause my writing sucks after all.

I wish all those grown-ups who read my writing when I was a kid hadn't lied to me. I grew up thinking I was a great writer. Then I was an adult and suddenly I sucked and it hit me unexpectedly and I never fully recovered.
