🔒Tom here. As far as the cage is concerned, they are very similar. However, the CBX models have stuck with the round, circular profile cuff rings, while the HT has adopted the more ergonomic ring with a flatter profile. Many people (including yours truly) find this to be more comfortable because the flatter inside face against your loose skin provides more surface contact area - this means it's less painful when you get aroused.

HT also offers five different cage sizes, while the CB6k has only two. And they have seven ring sizes, although they may not be compatible between lock & cage versions.

HT has also come up with an integrated lock system (V5) that is built into the cuff ring. The older models with the barrel lock used a good quality brass lock, something lacking in most of the Chinese knockoffs.

That said, you have to know what size you want. The CBX comes with five different rings and a bunch of spacers and locking pins, so you can experiment with getting a good fit. The HT sells all those parts separately, so if you buy a unit and it feels wrong, you'll have to buy another component at a later time.

I don't really have an opinion on which one is "better." In my opinion, the locking mechanism makes the HT a bit bulky up on top, although I realize that they need the extra plastic for strength. The CB-X is more clean, but the padlock and front facing guide pins are ancient technology now.
