Wait while we're talking about Hybe's business philosophy, something that has has been bothering me for ages is that period of time where hybe would acquire a company with fairly successful groups and then? those groups would disband? like i was only a casual nu'est enjoyer and am by no means a fan of gfriend but i've been struggling to find a reason. nu est was probably some sort of internal disagreement bc they at least had a final album, but it seems like gfriend were dropped like a hot potato. idk. firmly believe society is better bc of it tho! it just nags at me a lot and i was curious if you had any thoughts on it.
oh gfriend got canned bc they had a nazi scandal, so that one was deserved, but nu'est got nuked without warning like a month before their ten year anniversary + album. from the verbiage used by the guys when they've talked about it, it appears like hybe essentially didn't offer them a contract renewal as a group. the two guys who stayed with the company have extant commitments (minhyun i believe is on an acting contract/had some acting gigs lined up and baekho does a huge chunk of songwriting and producing and would probably lose all his copyrights if he left), but the other three had nothing to keep them there without the group. obvs we're probably not going to know actually what happened but the general consensus is that the members and perhaps even pledis staff got blindsided by the decision, because the guys were talking about their anniversary and looking forward to the future with the group at their winter concerts (if they had known they were disbanding on the anniversary we would have also known bc they're all criers) and there straight up was a bus ad campaign that ran in seoul until AFTER they had already disbanded? which why on EARTH would a company pay for a whole ass ad campaign if the group was about to die? there's also a theory that their last album was just meant to be a tenth anniversary cb with galaxy as the actual title track, bc it's much more in line with a tt from them, and again was meant to be the anniversary song bside. the guys are pretty close (mcing/going each other's fanmeetings, ren's guested on aron's podcast at least twice) and they fought like HELL to stay together as a group for the last ten years (they're literally the group that pioneered the survival show flop revival) so them disbanding was extremely out of left field. as for why hybe would have incentive to not renew them? nu'est have a fair amount of domestic popularity and a very stable and loyal fanbase BUT not a very large intl one and not one that was actively growing. they were quite large in japan as well, but they never hit big with a western audience and as we know, that's the only audience hybe cares about. plus, as ten year veteran idols and staples of the industry they would have likely had a lot of negotiating power during contract discussions. hybe probably knew that they wouldn't be able to beat them in line with their company vision if they stayed together so the easiest solution was to just disband them.

It's genuinely alarming that Jared stans are so
desperate over their show setting a world record TV low
antis of supernatural despite what they say
that they're acting like they can't figure out the difference between "cheap show renewed at slashed budget from settling company as show hits guiness world low and moves next to acquired shows doing better"; compared to, for example "top performing but lowest cost show that has high end corporate deals with 2 year corporate business planning around it delayed in official order on new host because there's a writer and SAGAFTRA strike and bond and insurance agencies aren't insuring sets, which is mandatory".
Fucking shit. Is this hard? Am I speaking fucking greek??? WHAT LANGUAGE DO THESE ALIEN HAGS SPEAK. HOW DOES ONE COMMUNICATE HOW PLANET EARTH WORKS.
YES. CONGRATULATIONS. I TOLD YOU GUYS BACK IN FEBRUARY YOU HAD A CHANCE TO STAY ON SAID DYING SHIT NETWORK, JUST THAT WINDY DIDN'T. Not sure why you're taking titanic failure, CBS lack of care of value in the product, a budget cut and a dying network as the win here but jesus guys, if you really think it's a win, stop coming to me.
On my fuckin life dude, I have told you many times. I do not care. Believe what you want. Be as ignorant as you want. Go away. Unfollow me. I do not care. Die in a fire. Fall in the zero hole. I do not care. I am literally so far past your idiocy and ignorance out here that I can't be bothered.
I'm TELLING you, I physically can not be bothered with your delusional horse shit and arguing with static you guys make up between your own ears reacting to each other's hallucinations. I would say in a few months you will comprehend how fucking stupid you all are, but since this is a seasonal cycle with you knucklefucks, it hasn't escaped me that the sheer amount of head trauma you take from your failouts the last six years gives you transient conditional amnesia until you can restore your warped dialogues. You all forget how embarrassed you were at every big claim and you all do it over, and over, and over again, as if you and I BOTH can't remember you are the extant definition of failure in this fandom, no matter what front you put on.
Like listen guys, I know you're looking for crumbs to go "AHAH, AFFIRMATION OF MY BIAS, I'M GONNA GET HIM GOOD THIS TIME" at all times, because you are fundamentally outraged I exist and have run circles around you for six years on this shit. But you have to understand, You Will Find No Weakness In Confidence. Knowing, or in some situations, even controlling, the truth--rather than working on bullshit uneducated spec theories--tends to have that effect. Now scroll my wall from yesterday, figure out what's going on and eat cud.

FZ’s next outing is a mostly-live mostly-collaboration with Captain Beefheart. I wanted this record to be a knockout when I first heard about it. The Zappa/Beefheart lore goes deep: they were high school friends, and some of the first extant recordings of either of them they made together, though they were never very serious collaborators. FZ recorded Beefheart’s legendary, divisive debut Trout Mask Replica, and of course Beefheart contributed the vocals for Willie the Pimp on Hot Rats. A full album collaboration should have been dynamite. But, eh. It’s not bad, but it’s far from the best of Zappa or the best of Beefheart. CB’s contributions are largely poetry recitations over the band’s playing; you don’t get that FZ/CB synergy you’d hope for.
A lot of the best material here is just Zappa: my favorites are Carolina Hardcore Ecstasy and Advance Romance. And of course Muffin Man is a great but ultimately insubstantial jam. I used to see Zappa Plays Zappa in Austin a bunch (where Muffin Man was recorded—good night Austin, Texas, wherever you are), and they always made a big showpiece out of the song there. Those versions were spectacular—the original on this album is just monologue, chorus, long guitar solo, outro. All good, but there’s just not that much to it.
This is kind of the last album by the best Mothers lineup, and it feels more like an epilogue to their era than a conclusion. But I say “kind of” because this is also a transition record: you’ve got George Duke and Tom Fowler, but no Ruth Underwood (😱) and most of the drums are by Terry Bozzio, who will become THE mainstay of Zappa’s next band. This is also the last (non-posthumous) album to be credited to the Mothers. From this point on Zappa is a solo musician, and all his albums and tours are under his own name.
My copy of this record is a little worn, but given how much I listen to it, it’s fine—I’m not super tempted to upgrade it.

The Biggest Disadvantage Of Using Karaoke
Tumblr media
The findings of this analysis are most helpful to Managers of Nnice karaoke who want enhance their service. The findings indicate that the variety of glad clients is greater than that of dissatisfied ones with Nnice karaoke service. With the excessive charge of youth unemployment alongside the growth of the participation in greater schooling, Korean young folks right this moment are suffering from the exacerbated living situations, and their leisure lives are becoming extra impoverished. The guitar solo in the middle of the tune gives you ample time to run around the room, giving people fist bumps or taking a sip of your drink on your poor, aching throat. The song is an astonishing snapshot of 1983; it additionally occurs to possess one of the vital rousing and operatic choruses in pop historical past. David Cobb: Except for being considered one of the best musical works of the twenty first century, "Party within the USA" by Miley Cyrus makes for a superb karaoke alternative due to how accessible it is to the casual singer.
Tumblr media
However, significantly less attention has been paid to how cultural identity is produced in opposition to the background of musical temporality. However, there are three of them, named Tangibles, Functionality and Assurance may be predictors of Customer Satisfaction. However, there’s a distinction between being passable at karaoke and being memorable. The analysis of the selected Carpool Karaoke corpus utilizes a resourceful blend of phenomenological methodology, semiotics and interpretive videography whereas difficult embedded orthodoxies in the extant literature. Furthermore, by inspecting the dramaturgical scaffolding of Carpool Karaoke, the evaluation factors to wider implications for post-modern cultural studies in terms of an identified ironic reversal of modernist common criteria of legitimacy in favor of a celebration of submit-trendy being-with inauthentically. By way of a phenomenological inquiry into the staged spectacle of James Corden’s (the host of CBS Network’s Late Late Show) Carpool Karaoke, this paper addresses the issues of directly lived expertise and authenticity as facets of cultural id.
This paper explores the phenomenon of singing alone by Korean younger folks in 'koin norae bang,' a new kind of karaoke that just lately emerged in South Korea. Thus I argue that the leisure form of koin norae bang represents the standing of contemporary Korean younger individuals as socially isolated and economically marginalized. Assuming that the recognition of the koin norae bang singing amongst these younger folks is deeply related to the socioeconomic circumstances confronting Korean younger folks today, I investigate the that means of this leisure practice for these young people as a mirrored image of their negotiations with the circumstances constraining their lives. I draw on contemporary youth analysis, which stresses the structural forces that influence the cultural lives of young folks and notes particularly the affect of the changed structure of youth transitions on their leisure experiences. The track has to be standard sufficient so people can sing together with you, but simple enough for a karaoke beginner to master. Or not. Within the Philippines, no less than a half-dozen karaoke-related killings of individuals singing the Frank Sinatra tune “My Way” prompted newspapers there to label the phenomenon “My Way killings,” based on The new York Times.
Karaoke solo or duet with people across the globe. Talk that permits events to share their thoughts or negotiate business deals straight are not keys to business negotiation, but assume completely different that means after people have 'sung together'. By critically discussing the assumptions of self-presence and auto-affectivity whereas singing and listening to one’s sung voice in opposition to the background of pre-recorded songs, the notion of immediately lived musical expertise is put to the check. Because the user sings a pre-established song, his pitch, timbre, vibrato and articulation can be modified to resemble these of a pre-recorded and pre-analyzed recording of the identical melody sang by another particular person. After https://shirtroomgaja.com/%ec%85%94%ec%b8%a0%eb%a3%b8/ , he sang with the Army Special Services Band below the name Joe Bari. Generally, the examine implies that Nnice ought to enhance their providers quality to be extra profitable karaoke service. 3.7 pts improve in brand favorability greater than triple of the norm. The questionnaire utilized was primarily based on the Bitner research model, SERQUAL model and instrument that establish 5 qualit y dimensions in karaoke service atmosphere.

‘Salvation’
Tumblr media
Another new summer series that will most likely be a distant memory by Labor Day (remember "Extant" and "American Gothic"?...exactly). It's described as a "suspense thriller" that focuses on an asteroid headed toward Earth and how a grad student (Charlie Rowe) and tech billionaire (Santiago Cabrera) team up to stop it. Got that? The cast also features Jennifer Finnigan, Jacqueline Byers, Rachel Drance, Shazi Raja, and Ian Anthony Dale. 9 p.m. Wednesday, July 19, on CBS.

Q: Hi Clarz! I wanted to ask you a question about something i've been trying to grapple with for a while now. It's about our expectations of social activism and awareness when it comes to BTS (sorry for the ramble!) They definitely have a certain reputation and a history of calling out certain social issues in their songs (especially at the beginning). They also have this insane platform. But when it comes down to actual social activism and calling out things, they've remained quite silent, especially recently. For me personally, the c*s issue and saudi concert were a little hard to reconcile with thought-out decisions that they made. I think it ended up resulting in a necessary adjustment of how i see them. But now with what's going on in the US, it's still hard not to think about how much good they could do by simply tweeting their support or just letting their voices be heard. And i keep wondering if it's fair to have these expectations of them. Not everyone wants to be an activist, and they are also at a level where they probably don't want to attract any controversy, and have an insane amount of pressure on their shoulders. They also already help so many people doing what they do, focusing on the personal. But still, it's hard not to want more out of them in times like these. Do you feel the same?
A: i think you summed up a lot of my feelings on it already. i agree that toward the beginning of their career even up through the wings cb they talked more abt specific social issues in their songs and they've deliberately moved away from that. in my eyes it's absolutely a business decision: if you take as lukewarm and vague a stance as possible then ppl are more able to read whatever specifics they want into your extremely broad social message, you're more palatable to a larger range of ppl, and you make more money. unfortunately, it becomes increasingly tricky to maintain this image of wanting to uplift ppl and spread a positive message when you combine it with an unwillingness to speak out about specific injustices in the real world.
esp in the past couple of years bts has gotten increasingly apolitical, though apolitical might be the wrong word, since that time of de-politicization also coincides with their working increasingly closely with the korean govt and political organizations like the UN. what's actually happening isn't de-politicization but political assimilation, i think: as their fame grants them increasingly real political power they simultaneously become increasingly unwilling to say anything counter to those systems of power, even by calling out the most minor of social injustices. ultimately i think there's smth abt hierarchical systems of government, and abt capitalism as an economic choice, that is DEEPLY incompatible with art, and that it's not an accident that political power is granted to artists only when they do not use that power in any way counter to the goals of the ruling class. i also think that i'm not nearly well-versed enough in political science to be the right person to deconstruct that incompatibility.
ultimately, i deeply feel the desire for bts to just SAY SOMETHING for once, not even just abt this issue, but abt ANY issue (e.g., where were bts's voices during the burning sun scandal, which directly affects their country, their industry, AND the main demographic to which their fans belong), and i don't think it's necessarily unfair for us to want to hear their voices, esp when they cultivate the kind of image of availability to fans and desire for emotional growth that they do. but i also think that the problem with bts not saying anything isn't necessarily a bts problem; it's a problem w the extant economic and political power structures under which bts operates. this isn't me absolving them of responsibility, but it IS me saying that i don't think there's a way to get as big as they are w/o the help of the same power systems that institutionalize economic and social injustice. at this point they, and to a larger extent bighit, have a vested interest in maintaining those systems of power. ultimately, i think we need to ask ourselves what we want from the artists we love, and if we want more than what bts gives us (which i think is a fair thing to want) then we need to go elsewhere.
