Quick cc!Forever appreciation post bc i'm watching phil's stream rn and damn it's amazing

Up to now, he already had some major rp moments and proved he was great at it.

But this arc?

His acting is on.point. He legit gives me chills because of how creepy he is.

From the skin change, to the constant happy tone, obviously fake but at the same time so real, he has been doing an amazing job.

The scene with Cellbit yesterday? Him crying while laughing and holding Richas' pic? The denial, so deep it's breaking him and his family. The constant reminder of the clock in the back of his mind, the hours spent just sitting on his chair, never moving.

And now, this goes way further himself. He knows this is wrong. He knows this is hurting him. But he still did it to Pac. And now Aypierre. Probably some more people soon.

He is not the only victim of his spiraling (and of the Federation pushing him deeper and deeper) and that's his own doing.

It's disturbing. It's scary. It's stressing.

It's amazingly done.

Genuinely, stop with that fucking bullshit about Blue being bad at communication. Like, where the fuck this crowd of people came from on Tubbo’s ALT stream just to tell him that Blue sucks at being friends and talking to each other. THEY DON’T. They are actually really good! So far they did a great job at having all the logging in members in check, sharing tasks, things, even with people who do more solo stuff like Rivers. They have a great chemistry; Tina, Tubbo and Bad are WONDERFUL as an unofficial co-leaders. Tubbo, who is FAMOUSLY BAD AT KEEPING HIS MORAL HIGH AT COMPETITIVE EVENTS, has been SO SUPPORTIVE AND ENCOURAGING, telling his team how he is so proud of them.

They do NOT suck at communication. They have some time management problems, but MOST of those problems are coming from the event structure itself, where it favors PST timezone. Those streamers are not fucking obligated to change their schedules just to have a chance of winning. Especially EU ones.

Honestly, Tubbo spent most of his time on the server trying to make sure to not go hard on Red, stopping Bad from ambushing them, deciding to talk to Phil where he definitely could’ve just leave. Bad LISTENED to Tubbo half of those times and genuinely held himself back so much. Tina NEVER engaged in anything with Red herself. Missa was just minding his own business. AND THAT’S FINE THAT RED KILLED HIM AND THAT CARRE TRIED TO KILL TINA. THAT’S THE GAME. JUST NOT PLAY ALL HIGH AND MIGHTY ABOUT THEIR ACTIONS AND THEN HATE ON BLUE FOR DOING STUFF. Them getting taunted for trying to be nice by saying that they just ‘can’t communicate with each other’ is such a BM.

Tubbo’s chat is AWFUL with Red viewers coming there and parading how they actually route for other team. And telling Blue ‘to just be better at friendship’. It’s so frustrating. When honestly the only reason why red wins them is because they submit tasks at the last minute. Blue has all the same fucking resources. That’s it. It’s a good strategy for winning, but it doesn’t have to do anything with communication in teams.

And also once again: THIS IS A KILLING AND MAIMING EVENT THAT WAS DESIGNED TO PUSH CHARACTERS TO COMMIT ATROCITIES. THATS THE POINT. THEY ARE ALLOWED TO BE TOXIC TO EACH OTHER. THIS IS NOT A QOMMUNICATION ISLAND, THIS IS PURGATORY.

Honestly, I was getting over my annoyance, but then Tubbo’s alt chat happened and it got me spiraling again. I am just so upset. I genuinely feel disdain towards Red just because of the fans, and I hate it, because it’s a good team and I want to enjoy them. But everything I think about them now is just this fandom bullshit.

This is a warning for my red team mutuals: I have nothing against you, I don’t hate the team, you or ccs, genuinely. But I will probably keep being a little hater towards red and pray on their downfall in my posts unless something will turn the tables completely. Senior, usually tech (haha) but has done a couple of smaller acting roles.

He doesn’t really specialize in anything, but that’s what makes him so great. You give him a job, he’ll do it as best as he possibly can. Sometimes his best isn’t always wonderful (looking at you, door he “fixed” that fell off its hinges during a performance) but damnit he’ll do it, and 93% of the time he gets it perfect.

The whole program would fall apart without this man. He’s well known for just finding something that needs doing and doing it. And if he’s already doing something else, he’ll grab the nearest person not doing something and get them to do it. Some people find this annoying (sucks for them, they should be doing something), but this is especially helpful for new and/or shy folks who aren’t yet sure of their own importance or skill. Nobody gets left out when Techno’s around.

He’s a black belt in three different forms of martial arts and does choreography for fight scenes (some dances too!)

Tech people are required to be actors at least once just to give it a try, so for Techno’s legally obligated first audition, he straight up sang a Minecraft parody. And I’ll be damned, he didn’t get a half bad role for it.

Whenever cast lists are posted, he always feigns offense that he didn’t get a role. He did not audition, nor did he want a role.

He’s been Wilbur’s best friend since they were tiny, as he lives right down the street from the Muertes. They looked a bit similar when they were younger and they carpooled often, so people frequently assumed they were brothers.

People still think Wilbur and Techno are brothers, actually. It doesn’t help that they both frequently proclaim they are twins. Even Tommy calls Techno his big brother, though Techno and Wilbur both (lovingly) tease him over it.

You know that whole bit with cc!Wilbur calling Techno brotherly, and Tommy starts angrily playing the Able Sisters? Yeah, that happens often.

Techno’s older than Wilbur by a month. This is very important to me specifically. Also to Wilbur.

On several April Fools days they have switched places and taken each other’s classes. They’ve been caught every time but they keep doing it.

Techno got diagnosed with ADHD when he was in seventh grade. Him learning about neurodiversity caused him to evaluate not only himself but his best friend too, leading to Wilbur realizing he’s autistic.

Techno stuck by Wilbur even as he went downhill and as he struggled to climb back up, much to Wilbur’s confusion. Three years later, they’re both very grateful he did.

Techno has been growing his hair out for quite some time, so it now reaches a bit below his shoulders. It’s “naturally” pink, totally. Ignore the brown roots showing through.

Techno ends up pretty close with Phil and Kristin. Not quite a parental relationship, but a close one nonetheless. They’re under the same roof so often for so much time, plus some family stuff is going on over at Techno’s house (that I’ll get into in a different post), so they end up becoming his trusted adults.

Pain and happiness

It was not even a week after the surgery. Your father was streaming though. You couldn't really bother your mother as she was cooking dinner for all of you.

Tired. In pain. And just feeling kind of clingy. You looked at your father as you sat near him, off camera.

He had yet to fully introduce you. They knew you exsisted, but you were never really fully seen.

Giving up you got up, pulling the spare chair up next to him as you lay your head on his shoulder. "Hey. Did you take your meds?" Nodding lightly you kept the blanket on your shoulders. The cold still deep in you.

"It hurts. It sucks. But so worth it." You mutter, voice barely getting picked up to on the VC. You watched as your father winced and took off his head phones.

"Who's that!" "Sounds like a teen." "No they must be atleast young adult." The now exploding V.C bounced voices off the wall.

"I didn't expect you guys to react like this. He quite often is on camera." Phil was quick to speak over to people. Whole you leaned on him and watched the chaos. He was safe in his house on what ever map he was on.

"So who is he?" It was the louder of the voices, tommy you think. "If you flip over to my stream, if you can, I can introduce them to you."

"Oh God it is a teen! I was right wilbur!" Yep tommy you knew that voice anywhere. "Really? You never told us you had a child?" That voice seemed so familiar. Tubbo maybe? "He looks around are age. Can we see him in a bit? Like after the stream he seems cool." An american, ranboo. "I mean it depends. On how he's feeling didn't you hear? He's in pain." Maybe wilbur. You couldn't fully tell.

"Yeah. Anyways I'm tommy!" It was the loud voice. You were right with that one. "Maybe we can distract them from what is hurting right now. Also I'm ranboo." Correct again. "I'm tubbo." It was the correct again. Maybe that could be you job. "And I'm wilbur." You got them all right. Congrats.

"I'm (y/n). And honestly a distraction from this would be nice." Yes in the end this pain would give you a lifetime of happiness. But was it giving you full blown happiness. Well yeah actually. That's besides the point it hurt like hell. And all you wanted was something to take your mind off of it. It's so bad that you can't even chew without wanting to cry.

You can't really get up fully still on the like second day of the surgery recovery. So you were wearing the best clash of clothes. Plaid, black, white, plus blue, pajama pants, a large zip up hoodie, and normally a blanket to keep you warm due to the anesthesia.

"I mean. As long as you guys go careful on him. He has alot of restrictions right now." You dad had activated dadza. He was now very protective. "Nah let's just go skydiving." Tommy was fast to snap back. Sarcasm dripping on every word. Making you give out a small laugh but wincing in pain after.

"Good one tommy. But refrain from being the funny man you are for a bit. It hurts to laugh." You were careful with speaking as it hurt too. Sometimes breathing hurt but what ever.

"I will try just so I don't hurt you." Tommy spoke. "Thank you funny man." It was genuine. And you now had a nickname for him. "So why exactly are you in pain?" Tubbo. Seemed like a curious soul. "Yeah. It must be hard to do alot if it hurts to laugh." Ranboo.

"Well I finally got top surgry. Been a hell of a ride with it. But there are no regrets. Just pain. It's worth the pain though you know." This is the most you've talked in the past few days.

There was peace. A few congratulations and hoping you were well. God. This was the pace you needed. The pain was dulled so much. "I'm gonna wrap up stream now. Help him wrap up somethings up, get them clean." He was quick to sign out and all that and helped you to the bathroom.

"Do you want a different hoodie?" Nodding lightly you felt awkward. You felt bad for having your dad and mom do this all. "Which one?" He held up a pure black one and a bee one. The pattern embroidered into the fabric.

One of your favorite hoodies but sadly you couldn't wear it yet. It didn't zip up. You felt sad. "Oh. Wait I forgot. Let me grab the new one." New? What did he mean by that?

He came back a different hoodie that actually zipped up.

It was perfect. "We ordered it before you surgry but it didn't come until yesterday." He helped you slip it on. "Fits perfectly " he mumbled. Smiling as he gently hugged you.

Kissing the top of your messy hair he stood there for a while. Just hugging you tight, yet gentle. He was not gonna let go.

I'm gonna finish up the requests I have. I know. I should be taking a break but I can't just leave you guys with out anything. So Im going to finish them.

At this point I became allergic to people in this fandom saying that a character 'had so much potential' because what they usually mean is 'character didn't behave the exact way I wanted'. Three easy examples are c!Niki, c!Philza and c!Technoblade.

When you hear that about c!Niki character it comes from the people who are L'Manberg stans and who believe that actually there was no reason why she would go against L'Manberg and why she would be mad at c!Tommy. For them c!Niki is basically the citizen of L'Manberg who always stays loyal to that country and goes against people who are against it. The Manberg arc is where they saw the potential. The thing is c!Niki is an amazing character and cc!Niki did a great job with making her character. If you look at what her character went through her decisions make sense. She felt abandoned by c!Wilbur and was trying to deal with his death only for L'Manbergians to ignore her voice and not listen to her. After L'Manberg was gone she was still full of sadness and anger and c!Tommy became her scapegoat because let's be honest most of the problem on this server during L'Manberg time was somewhat connected to him. Luckily for her she found a place where she matters. Syndicate was the thing she needed to heal and she was willing to give them the same loyalty she once gave to L'Manberg.

When you hear that about c!Philza there can be few reasons for it. First one that seems to die down is the need for SBI to be canon family, those people just wanted to see c!Phil acting like a father to c!Tommy and when that didn't happen they got upset. That a very weak reason. Second are those who claims that c!Phil just does whatever c!Technoblade told him which is untrue but it's easier to complain about that then try to understand his character. The last reason I will show you here is when they didn't really listened to lore crumbs that cc!Phil gives us. He is really good at explaining his character and reasoning behind his actions so if you did understand something during lore it's good to listen to the guy who makes this character. Unfortunately a lot of people prefer to just complain about what cc!Philza is saying.

When you hear it about c!Technoblade it's usually just because he didn't reacted how they wanted him to. Just think about stuff like his reaction to c!Tommy death or his apology to c!Tubbo. Another even dumber reason is when c!Technoblade isn't on the side of their favourites. I think the best example of this is the way there is many Bedrock bros fans who started hating on c!Technoblade after he no longer was with c!Tommy. They could see that c!Techno is an fun character but they never bother to see his motivation and reasoning

Basically none of them are waisted potential in anyway they just didn't acted as you wanted them too.

where did this misconception come from that cc!wilbur is a control freak dm that doesn’t listen to the roleplayers

ive seen so many people pass around a list of “reasons why cc!wilbur is a bad writer” but half of those aren’t even really applicable???

first of all, cc!wilbur was basically absent for season 2. he was not a head writer for season 2. i cannot stress this enough that cc!wilbur was not nearly as involved in the writing process as he was in season 1. stop coming from this angle, it’s literally not true

“cc!wilbur forced adult ages onto c!tommy and c!tubbo’s characters” literally when. all he said was that when writing it was what he had in mind. as of canon they’re still teenagers so why does this matter. honestly i don’t really blame him since no one will shut up about how his character “forced them to be child soldiers”

“cc!niki didn’t know about the festival and was left out of the loop” yeah, i really mean it when i say what happened to cc!niki was bad and unprofessional. it’s unfortunate that their communication wasn’t as great as it could’ve been, especially considering cc!wilbur wasn’t informed about the festival either

I'm so glad I bounced out off the reddit after I saw that first thread because I think I would have had a conniption if I read any other thinkpieces on Pete. The audacity to use someone's anxiety to justify why you don't like a team is kind of gross. I just feel so sorry for Pete (and other "S Tiers") honestly. They have to be performing at 110% every mcc or every little second is picked apart and a million critiques are written up. It must be exhausting. Pete needs to come over to tumblr, we love him here! And don't even get me started on the "Jimmy having good chemistry with Grian" thing... Poor Jimmy. He's so incredibly slept on as a player. Have you seen his speed bridging?? It's so good now! And he's great in combat and has super clear communication skills. But I just have to say this whole thing is so funny because here on tumblr, the mcc-updates post for lime llamas has double the notes of any other team. There is obviously an audience for this team and reddit is just salty it's not them.

I also agree completely that Scott has done an amazing job on these teams and that reddit (and twitter lmao) needs to calm down and take a breath. it's just so funny because even on the reddit lime is the 2nd most upvoted team (behind only the legendary krakens), and the 2nd team to have over 1k upvotes (not even the dream and tommy team has that many). and there's also multiple posts with hundreds of upvotes criticising it. so like - do you people like this team or not??? make your damn minds up??????

the comments trying to blame pete "getting the same teams" on his anxiety and what not were truly so disgusting to read because they're so utterly baseless, invasive and disrespectful. just because someone is open about their anxiety and how it affects them/how they deal with it, it doesn't mean you get to freely weaponise it and put words in their mouth when they've never said anything of the sort. and there were also comments outright saying they blame scott which is also awful - the way people were comparing the teams of other s-tiers to pete's made it sound like scott has it out for him specifically or some shit. just like you said, there is a massive audience for this team and it's right here, and i don't have any doubts that lime 21 is going to make cyan 20's already incredibly strong tumblr viewership ratio look like child's play. i definitely would really love to see pete team with people like phil, tubbo, ranboo etc etc too, but you can say that without disrespecting the actual teams we do get. calling teams or collabs of any kind "stale" always is just so disrespectful because dude - you're not the one playing in these events. you're not the one making the videos. you can have your opinions of course, but if you're only expecting ccs to do exactly what you want them to do, or you're expecting scott to make mcc teams exactly as you want them, you're just setting yourself up for disappointment.

and "jimmy and grian have good chemistry (mcc pride)"........ at least they could've chosen ginger 19 as an example, which was just 4 months ago. jimmy is genuinely an amazing mcc player - he was a fantastic and very efficient floater to grian in mcc 19 buildmart, which enabled ginger to come 1st in that game. and he by far did the best on that team during battle box - he got 10 kills and even rose up to top 10 in the overall rankings after bb was over because of how well he did during it. he also got two top 10 and three top 15 map finishes in tgttos, and played a huge role in ginger's tgttos being as strong across the board as it was (literally the 3rd best tgttos of all time). people on the reddit post about him and using "chemistry" as an empty compliment have pointed out how he's been very consistent this season and especially in his past few events, and i really can't wait to see him this event because he's going to do so well while still being positive, funny and wholesome as he always is.

i'm just going to detach myself from the reddit and from other platforms for mcc stuff and stick to tumblr tbh, it's just a lot better and more comfy here while on reddit or discord people just get really nasty because they get ahead of themselves and think everything should be according to what they want and that their opinions need to be heard at all times

literally my stance on dsmp characters is if theyre bringing cool shit to the story i like their character.

i think- and i said this in an ask- the only time ive ever actually been MAD at a character was sam in the ghostbur death stream. and even then i only was mad because cc!sam did such a FANTASTIC job playing him. (and also the fucking moment dream and quackity were in that cell w those SUS lines whadda hell-)

like i think techno and phil are fucking awesome and doomsday was just??? so cool??? what a great stream i rewatch different perspectives of it a lot cause theres just so much happening for every character. also yeah techno blew up a country but he was funny while doing it <3

C!Ranboo and his hypocrisy

- This is just about his character, cc!Ranboo is an angel and doing a great job building this stupid half-enderman boy <3 -

- p.s.: This has some stings towards c!Phil and c!Techno but not enough to be tagged as critical, so be warned -

So, we need to talk about Ranboo and his stance on sides.

Is he right about the need to abolish sides? Yes, he is so fucking right

Does he know the right way to explain it to the other people? No

Does he, Ranboo himself, have the moral backbone to follow his own philosophy? No. In so many ways, no. 

The problem is: Ranboo can’t do it. He says he has no sides but he is clearly taking one. He doesn’t forgive Niki and Fundy, but then he goes and makes mental stunts in order to explain Philza and Techno’s behavior about a topic neither of those 3 have the rights to speak about.

The only ones that had the right to decide the fate of L’manberg were Tommy, Tubbo, Fundy, Niki, Jack Manifold, and, to a certain extent, Eret and Quackity. They fought for it, they lived there. Tommy, Tubbo and Fundy were there since the beginning, Niki and Jack lived there since it got its independence, Eret miss the old times and want to redeem themself, Quackity saw L’manburg at a terrible time but still understood its value and fought for his newfound home. Techno ignored the sentimental value and only saw it as a corrupted government, Philza (I am using what he said at Doomsday, so don’t come after me saying I’m wrong) only saw L’manberg as the place that took his son’s life (a so fucking wrong take but this is not the topic)...

Then, we have Ranboo.

Ranboo was  received by the L’manberg people with open arms, he befriended almost everyone there immediately, he saw that place as home. If needed, he would have fought in L’manberg side during that time.

Yes, I said side, bc it was there where his friends were.

Tommy then got exiled, and Ranboo started to share his time between L’manberg and Logstedshire. It wasn’t a problem at first, because everyone wanted to bring Tommy back, but it got worse after Techno’s Execution. Tommy went to live with Techno, the Enemy, and, since Ranboo was Tommy’s friend and Techno also was Tommy’s friend, Ranboo helped them.

This is where things got shaky. This is where he started to panic. THIS was the moment he started to say “people over sides”, because he had betrayed L’manberg. He didn’t need to panic about this before he became a ‘traitor’, but he was worried now, he knew the mess he made at the moment his diary was gone. He starts to blackout more often after this day too, after the day they threatened Dream.

Ranboo said “Friends before sides” that day, but he didn’t stick to this until the end.

Techno and Phil were his friends, but mostly because of Tommy and because one favor Phil did to him. Niki, Fundy, Tubbo…. They all were high up and, by his morals, THEY should be first. Ranboo should have looked OVER sides and only at his friends. But Ranboo did exactly what he said it was wrong, he only saw sides.

When Tommy was accused, after the Community House explosion and after Tommy’s speech, it was supposed to Ranboo, the guy who covered Tommy until the end, would stand and defend Tommy, because it was his FRIEND, but no. Ranboo argued about people preparing for a war that was certain to happen. He goes and says that taking sides is wrong and Tommy and Tubbo shouldn’t be making a side for war, meanwhile Tubbo saw over Ranboo’s treason, he only looked at his friendship, and defended him from Quackity. Tubbo saw Ranboo as a friend, Ranboo saw Tubbo as a side.

His speech makes something break inside Niki and Fundy, and they take it at heart. No sides, only people. No L’manberg, only the people that took care of you. Niki and Fundy team up briefly, Eret joining them for a while. The three that were always together beyond treasons and countries. No sides, only friends. Quackity was about to leave before reading Ranboo’s diary and seeing what really mattered was the feeling that L’manberg and its people made Quackty had. He goes back to help Tommy and Tubbo, his friends. People over sides.

Right before Doomsday, Niki goes to Ranboo and talks to him. She says she will do whatever Ranboo does, because she trusts him. She puts Ranboo over L’manberg. Ranboo says she would fight for L’manberg, because that was what Ranboo said he would do but, when it happened, Ranboo did nothing, so she also stayed and watched. Niki burns L’mantree because she has the right to. She burnt down the last piece of her land and she mourns it. She doesn’t let it blow up by Dream, she does it just like a funeral, because she knows L’manburg was gone, and the girl that loved it the most was the one with the right to burn it. Ranboo would never understand this because he never saw L’manberg at its peak and never had the time to see it peak again. Ranboo doesn’t know how it was to Niki, how it was to be hopeful and full of love, to feel pride and then see it all crash and burn, to see the place you called home die, to mourn over and over. She is trying to heal but she doesn’t know to. She burns the tree and explodes her bakery trying to cut the ties because she doesn’t want it to hurt anymore, not because she is taking a side.

Fundy and Ranboo are certainly a topic we all talked over and over, and we all know that Fundy is spiraling and needing help. He chooses Ranboo over sides again and again, but Ranboo only sees it as him trying to make another side. Fundy just doesn’t wanna feel alone anymore. He lost it and snapped due to it, and Ranboo knows it. Ranboo said it himself that Fundy is passing through something but he is scared of what Fundy has become after being so hurt, and still he does nothing. Ranboo has the right to be scared, but, as someone who said people were the most important thing, he isn’t seeing them as people anymore.

Phil and Techno destroyed everything, and after it they were kind to Ranboo. Ranboo, who said hours prior that the most important thing was his friends, left them all behind for a thing he saw as not a side because Techno and Phil were loyal only to each other. He saw it as them doesn’t making a side and staying out of it. But Techno and Phil always were a side, and Ranboo chose them. Because of this, he excuses everything they did, Ranboo doesn’t want to see himself as the wrong one. Ranboo even changes his morals and stances, before Doomsday he said L’manberg deserved to be fought for, after being housed by Techno and Phil he says L’manberg was destroyed for good. That’s why Dream’s voice talks to him and points out his mistakes, the voice is trying to point out what is wrong, and he says it: “You betrayed everyone”, “You exploded the house”, “You helped Dream”. Ranboo said he doesn’t want to remember bad things he did or that happened, but everything is coming back to him. His ‘other state’ is not neutral. He has a side. Normal Ranboo choose Techno and Phil, Other Ranboo choose Dream (as far as we know) and, coincidentally, Techno, Phill and Dream have some kind of alliance. Ranboo was biased from the beginning. 

Seeing only from Ranboo’s pov makes it look like everyone chooses a side but Phil and Techno, seeing from outside we notice this is not true.

Technoblade held back a groan as the sun began to peek through the blinds. Techno was unfortunately the perfect height on their bed that the sun always hit his eyes at sunrise. He always had the thought to go to the village without Q, so there would be no distractions and he could just get new curtains. 

But,

As he looked down at where the bird hybrid was burrowed in the sheets, he could genuinely never imagine wanting to leave his side. 

He and Quackity had been through a lot, their relationship had been tough to work through, not to mention tough to even start. Quackity had been upset with himself when he caught feelings for the man who had literally killed him-

Then again, he didn’t have a very good track record with picking the right guy, did he? 

Techno hummed to himself, he thinks Quackity did a great job this time. The two had worked past what they needed too, and were now completely devoted to each other. 

That scared Techno, but in a good way. He’s never cared for another person like this before, not Tommy, not Phil, not Wilbur (maybe Carl, but don’t tell Q).

It was unsettling, he had a weakness on the server now and everyone knew it. He could see in the way Tubbo’s eyes were always locked on Q when they were together, the glint in Dream’s eyes when Q had accidentally exposed them to the server, and if he looked closely in the space behind Q at any given time, there was the shadow of a horned man. 

But, none of them mattered. He was keeping Q safe from any and all harm. 

No matter what.

I absolutely love what cc!Phil did with L’manberg, with the lore bridge, flag, and greenery; it’s beautiful, and he did a great job that I literally have nothing negative to say about. But I do have some conflicting emotions about it.

The decoration is a great way to memorialize L’manberg, its beauty representing what L’manberg stood for, what its purpose was from the start. Despite it becoming corrupted due to the people running it and choices made, L’manberg still deserves to be remembered as something beautiful, because it was; it should be remembered as such. Phil did a great job capturing this in the tribute he created.

On the other hand, it makes me a little uneasy how easy it was to turn something that was so horrible and traumatizing for many into something that people can look and smile at. Doomsday was a devastating event (look at my post about my comment on Derivakat’s song “Doomsday” previous to this to see my take on it), and the ability to make its aftereffects into something happy and peaceful when L’manberg’s history, along with Doomsday itself, was anything but. It feels like those who will look back upon L’manberg, the people and historians who weren’t there, will never be able to see the horrors that L’manberg and its people suffered; they will only see a beautiful memorial and think the nation was as graceful in its downfall as its rise, when neither are true. The suffering of L’manberg will never be seen but in the people who still live and, eventually, they too will die and leave behind no evidence of that pain. That suffering will be forgotten.

I am fully aware that this is all fake, that cc!Phil did this because he likes doing these types of projects and that everyone on the server, even cc/c!Tommy himself, thinks it’s really cool. Even lore-wise, the thought in the action, as I’ve already said, is appreciated and does feel heartfelt in remembering L’manberg in a good light. I’m simply thinking in lore terms, which makes my words feel a little useless, I suppose.

This isn’t me hating on what cc!Phil did or arguing why it was wrong; far from it, in fact. I’m just someone who feels strongly about L’manberg, and as someone who’s heart aches at the pain the characters and nation has gone through, I’m allowed to feel conflicted about the destruction that was wrought being covered up by pretty decorations that even I still appreciate.

not currently, but i can come up with some if you'd like!! ^^

- when he gets the team lists, he's super excited!! he gets to team with both techno and lord grian dreamslayer??? just imagine, if he'd stayed dead he would never have gotten to experience this. he's really happy!!

- like irl, he practices not swearing! since ranboo also doesn't swear, he asks for tips and listens very diligently as ranboo comes up with bullshit stuff on the spot because he's not avoiding swearing per say, he just... doesn't. he wants to help his new friend, tho, so he does his best to give suggestions!

- so wilbur practices by stubbing his toe and not swearing! tommy finds him doing this and is concerned, until he explains what's happening and tommy also gets excited. he offers to help wilbur practice by kicking him in the shins, and laughs at him when he agrees (tommy still does it, though he doesn't kick nearly as hard as he's capable of). mostly, it's just the two of them joking around while tommy tries to trick him into swearing

- he does get embarrassed abt forgetting the outfit :' he got too excited about the whole thing and it just completely slipped his mind, but he's glad that he wasn't the only one and that the others only jokingly tease him about it and aren't actually upset

- wilbur is pretty nervous about the whole thing, but grian and jimmy's easygoing attitudes paired with techno's familiar casual humor helps him relax a lot!

- buildmart is a high point for him, being a floater plays to his strengths as well as scratching the persistent itch in his brain to be useful :' it makes him really happy when grian compliments the team's communication afterwards, bc he also feels like they did a really good job and the confirmation from someone whose opinion he respects is rlly nice :D

- he does fall back into the role he used to have in previous tournaments of cheering the team up and keeping spirits high. it takes a bit to readjust to it, but thankfully he has high energy that day and his positive attitude & silly bits like replacing swearing with scatting keep the team's energy up as well

- his personal score being eighth is absolutely thrilling, esp when techno comes over to celebrate w him! he gets even more excited bc of it, and ends up expending more energy than he means to (which is fine in the moment! but becomes a slight problem later)

- the gong is great!! it's very nice actually, and helps him level out his energy levels a bit. unfortunately this man is zero or one hundred after Certain Things That Happened, so the gong lowering his energy actually kinda causes his crash sooner than it would have happened otherwise

- so u know how in the actual event, cc!wilbur's fire alarm went off? so i've decided the in-universe equivalent of that is he got too worked up by the energy/excitement of the event and everything and ends up having a bit of a breakdown in the middle of parkour tag. he ends up sitting out for a little bit to regain his composure (which his team is very understanding of!! mental health is a complicated thing, and none of them are exactly strangers to panic attacks) and phil subs in for him for a bit while he calms down

- anyway things are a bit better after that ^^ he's a lot calmer, and kinda embarrassed about what happened but they're not letting him be apologetic bc dude this kind of thing happens sometimes, it's fine

- also, grian being a bit tough on himself helps humanize him in a way bc wilbur gets it like 'oh same' so they're both supportive of each other and it's a nice dynamic, they sort of start to bond a little

- they're all disappointed abt not making it to dodgebolt, and wilbur is blaming himself bc he had a breakdown in the middle of parkour tag and played poorly for a bit there (by which i'm referencing when he was afk in the actual event). they all cheer each other up pretty quickly tho, and for once it's hard to hold onto the bad when the rest of his teammates are actively focusing on the good parts of the day and engaging with him in discussion about those good parts

- while dodgebolt is happening, grian actually takes him aside for a bit and, without prying, offers advice and a few breathing exercises that could help in a similar situation in the future. he also gives him his com number, and tells him that if he has any other questions abt that stuff or he just needs someone to talk to then he's welcome to call (with a joke about like 'as long as you keep it pg' or something)

- after the event, he goes up to grian and asks him for a favor. when he explains what and why, grian smiles and agrees. getting back, wilbur goes to see tommy and presents him with an autograph signed by lord grian dreamslayer. tommy hadn't asked wilbur to bring him one, but he didn't have to- wilbur knew he looks up to the guy bc of his dreamslayer title, and he knew getting an autograph would make him happy so he did it

so, the l’manburg crater looks amazing!  cc!phil did a great job.  it genuinely looks really cool and was such a good backdrop for tubbo’s lore yesterday. 

now, I’ve seen some fun discourse popping up over the last couple of weeks regarding c!phil being the one to clean up the crater.  some are upset because c!phil was the one who helped create the crater, and any renovations to that area shouldn’t be his decision to make.  and I get it... to an extent.  some posts are interpreting the life returning to the area as something that was done without c!phil’s help at all, that cc!phil just streamed the redecorating because he wanted to chat while he worked.  and that’s all well and good, but I still kind of like the idea that this is c!philza lore. 

so if we go with that thought process - that phil actually was the one to fix up the crater - I also don’t think, as some posts have claimed, that c!phil did it to make amends for his actions or to bring himself some closure for this country he used to live in.  I genuinely don’t think he gives a single shit about L’manburg.  I still think he’s anti-government, and anti-L’manburg specifically.  I really don’t think he believes he did anything wrong on doomsday, and you know what? I'm actually okay with that.  he’s allowed to have a unique morality.  he’s c!philza, a man of unknown age and origin with only one canon life while everyone else has three.  there is no way I can believe that c!phil fixed up the crater for any altruistic reason.  that doesn’t fit my interpretation of c!phil’s character.  

so instead, my headcanon is that he cleared the crater and helped bring life back to the destruction he left behind for one reason and one reason only.

he did it for her. 

who is her?  nothing is for certain yet.  could be mumza.  could possibly be c!wilbur’s mum.  but nothing has been confirmed.  one thing we can interpret about her (based on the fact that she, basically overnight, sprouted an entire enchanted forest around phil and techno’s arctic home), is that she has something to do with nature.  

we really don’t know much about c!philza.  as mentioned previously, we don’t know how old he is, what his religion is, who he cares for outside of techno and wilbur (and possibly ranboo and fundy).  but there was something so special about how he reacted to that forest’s sudden appearance. the reverence in those written words to ranboo:

there is something about this mysterious Her that has me weirdly engaged.  there isn’t a lot to analyze about her, but I feel like I can give a reading of her character anyway.  to me, she embodies the reclamation of the natural order of things after bloodshed.  and maybe, just maybe, c!phil agrees with that.  and that’s why he fixed up the crater.  for her.

or maybe I just really want to manifest philza lore... :)
