Paralelismo entre Sir Otto Hightower y Lord Tywen Lannister.

Tanto Sir Otto Hightower como Lord Tywen Lannister provienen de casas nobles y ricas. Ambos fueron manos de Rey. Otto de Viserys y Tywen de Aerys II.

Ambos aprovecharon una situación desfavorable para casar a sus hijas. Otto mando a Alicent a "consolar" seducir a Viserys luego de la muerte de la Reina Aemma y su bebé. Tywen exterminó a los restantes posibles herederos al trono (Rhaenys y Aegon VI, hijos de Rhaegar y Elia) al terminar la rebelión de Robert. Cercei se casó con Robert.

Tanto a Otto como Tywen les importa más el nombre de la familia y el dejar un legado que los propios miembros de su familia. Alicent no quería a Viserys, no se imaginaba como Reina. A Otto no le importó si su hija estaba cómoda o no, ella era el medio para un fin, su sangre, el linaje y el nombre Hightowe ligado al trono de hierro. Tampoco le preocupó especialmente la pérdida del ojo de su nieto Aemond por que les consiguió a Vhaegar.

Similarmente Tywen tenía planeado casar a Cercei de nuevo luego de la muerte de Robert, a pesar de que ella no quería volver a pasar por eso. No hace falta entrar en terreno Tyrion para saber hasta donde podía llegar el León con lo de romper un par de huevos para hacer un omelet.

Ambos defienden el derecho de sus nietos al trono de hierro. Tywen podría no creer en ignorar deliberadamente la verdad sobre Joffrey, Myrcella y Tommem. Pero aunque la hubiese aceptado, igual habría defendido el reclamo, por le simple gusto de Lannisters gobernando los siete reinos.

En el caso de Otto, sus nietos no son bastardos. Aegon es el hijo "primogénito" según las costumbres ponientis. Pero estaba relegado de ese derecho por Decreto de su propio padre, el Rey Viserys. Otto fue el que sugirió a Rhaenyra como heredera. Pero apenas hubo un bebé con sangre Hightower y Targaryen cambio de opinión. A pesar de que como mano debería y sabe perfectamente cuanto peso y legalidad confiere la palabra del Rey y los juramentos de los Lores a Rhaenyra.

Finalmente, Tywen y Otto traicionaron al Rey que sirvieron. Tywen al no tomar partido en la rebelión y causar el saqueo en desembarco del Rey. Otto al conspirar y apoyar la usurpación de la legítima heredera nombrada. Tywen extinguió una dinastía y Otto fomento y lucho en la guerra que casi destruye a los Targaryen.
