Listened to “Absolutely… Ennio Morricone” (2022), a new album where the maestro’s music is rearranged for only three instruments - the piano, the flute and the cello.

Morricone’s music was always written for a full orchestra and you don’t expect “Gabriel’s Oboe” from “The Mission” to work without the oboe but it does.

I didn’t hesitate to buy the CD this time because there’s been a similar effort for even less instruments in 2019 I loved - just a piano and a flute.
