This is going to be a story about the Lynch brothers. 

There were three of them, and if you didn’t like one, try another, because the Lynch brother others found too sour or too sweet might be just to your taste. 

The Lynch brothers, the orphans Lynch. All of them had been made by dreams, one way or another. They were handsome devils, down to the last one. They looked after themselves. Their mother, Aurora, had died the way some dreams did, gruesomely, blamelessly, unexpectedly. Their father, Niall, had been killed or murdered, depending on how human you considered him. Were there other Lynches? It seemed unlikely. Lynches appeared to be very good at dying. 

Dreams are not the safest thing to build a life on.

sudden realization that every time bryde falters or is like “i thought i knew what i wanted but now i don’t” / “it will change things for you and i’m not sure i want that anymore” / “i get... confused” / “i’m angry at myself,” etc 

that. 

that’s all him developing his own complicated feelings and desires for the first time. 

as opposed to the destructive motivations and anger and pain that ronan’s subconscious built him with. 

and he has no Fucking idea how to identify or deal with any of said complicated feelings because he doesn’t really know any more about How To Be A Dream than matthew does. 

but he’s Damn sure that waking the lines will save him and fix everything because ronan’s damn sure doing that will fix ronan too. 

saving dreamers and finding kind people and quiet places to heal because that’s also part of what ronan wants. never damning humanity as a whole because there are always some people who want to protect the world. trying to give ronan and hennessy (and maybe himself) a companion with all the gentleness and warmth he doesn’t have

unable to define or even Consider where in himself his dreamer ends and his own disentangled experiences begin. going after what he first wanted instead of interrogating the changes in him. because that first path feels truest and if he falters he’ll never know what’s right or real.
