arwen: yes, but there’s limits. lovely baker, makes good bread. cannot cook fish, meat, or mushrooms of any kind.
thranduil: wine = soup. this man would hold a spatula backwards. absolutely not.
glorfindel: will cook, half decent at it. not anything to write home about. prefers to eat fruit.
galadriel: no. no need to. makes tea, that’s about it.

Celeborn isn’t dead. He’s just missing.
The way it was phrased in Ep 7, made me think that he was dead. Maybe I'm wrong, and I'd love to be wrong, but that's how it sounded to me.
If he is missing, I still feel like the writers did it to play up the will they/won't they and I strongly dislike that.

One interesting parallel between Haladriel is how they both have so many different names a and similar titles. And yes, I was inspired by your recent fic. 😁 I have always been fascinated by people having more than one names and how each of those individual names can represent separate aspects of themselves. For example, Galadriel was mostly known as Artanis ("Noble Maiden") in her youth, and only her mother called her Nerwen ("Man-Maiden"). Galadriel ("Lady of Light/Maiden with the Shining Garland (Hair)") is a name that Celebron supposedly gave her early on in their courtship. As for Sauron ("The Abhorrent") most of his names had sinister or supernatural meanings. But, I am really curious why he chose Halbrand ("Tall Noble," but sounds like Hellfire)? Also, I wonder if to up Celebron would he ever give Gal his own special name for her? Something that would only be used by him like Nerwen was only used by Earwen?
Aww thanks about my fic!!! 😀 I'm fascinated by all the name meanings too, as I do this even for my own characters in my original fiction to have their names fits them and just in general for my family and people I know. But it is really fun with their names and how many they have. I do wonder about that too and if Sauron/Halbarnd would come up with a name for her as that's a common practice with couples in Middle Earth/Aman. And also wonder too if the show will ever explain why Sauron chose the name Halbrand or not. We're supposed to get Sauron flashbacks and that could be one.

I can totally see Gala (had to shorten her name) fight Pepa and Julieta for the right to be call Mama. Now I wouldn’t say it would be an easy fight, because we all know Pepa is an beast. But Julieta? She is scrappy, she honestly have the stamina to continue even when Pepa is down. Galan thought of going easy on them but realize they wouldn’t stop and k.o. them.
Celebron doesn’t go easy on the husbands at all.
Isabela and the rest of the grandkids, doesn’t stand a chance against Elrond
Galadriel wins, mid diff 😭😭 its not really a fair fight after she realizes she can't really win without K.O'ing them.

Sam: worried he will offend someone and they will find him because of his vanity plate. alternatively, POT8035.
Merry: brndybck, brndybk, ppinsuks. has a baby on board sticker because he hopes people won’t hit him if they think he has a kid.
Pippin: keeps trying to get some version of ‘weed’ approved. they keep getting more creative, he keeps getting denied. some gems include: DEEW, b33M, ku$h, any iteration of 420. can not understand why this might get him pulled over.

Pretty sure Celebron isn’t dead he’s in the fellowship of the ring. Galadriel hasn’t said outright he is dead and only seen her brother dead.
Yeah that's why I put that they 'killed' him off. Galadriel does seem to presume that he's dead at the moment though

I find it an interesting parallel that Galadriel and Sauron originally came from the same place (Valinor) and even shared some of the same experiences there (Apprenticing in Aule's forge/Spending time in Yavanna's gardens). From what I've heard, he left long before he could meet Artanis (Although, RoP may show they did cross paths when she was a child). Anyway, my point is that Gal and Sauron relate because they share a common history and life experience. Even among the current ME Elves, most have never seen or understood what happened Post-The Trees. Even Celebron probably didn't get Gal's past because Doriath was isolated and he always struck me as someone who preferred a quiet existence. There's nothing wrong with that, but I can see Gal feeling like she had to hide parts of herself and her former life from him because he simply couldn't relate.
That's something I wonder about too. I know in the books it's unlikely they ever met but with the show they could change some things as they've changed the timeline already for what's happening in the 2nd Age. But they did have similar experiences when they were young. I know that's likely why Galadriel and Melian bonded and become friends too.
