Once upon a time, Sam Winchester fell in love . . . and well, you know how the rest goes. Desperate to help his brother overcome his grief, Dean takes Sam to solve a case at a prestigious academy. When Sam opens a familiar fairy tale though, he finds himself into a world that he only used to dream of. The question is, will he choose to return?

The library wasn’t anything particularly special. Plush chairs surrounding stacks of books. Long wooden tables for students to study or at least, pretend to. The EMF meter remained quiet as they stepped into the room and nothing seemed amiss. “Not a ghost.” “I figured,” Dean shrugged, “ghosts usually don’t kidnap.” Sam lets his eyes drift around the room, trying to see if anything was out of place. Grabbing the salt, he began to go through the stacks of books, lining the windows that greeted each aisle with the protective barrier. “Anything?” Sam called out. “No.” Sam frowned, turning back to the books. His fingers trace the spines of them, smiling at a few of the familiar titles. I love fairy tales. Makes me feel like I can overcome anything. He froze, eyes seeing a well-worn copy of Grimm’s fairy tales. He gently pulled out the book and felt his heart twist painfully. He thumbed through the pages, stopping when he came to a familiar page. In past times there were a king and a queen . . . Tears sprung to his eyes, memories flooding in. The book began to grow warm and glow softly and Sam opened his mouth to call out when suddenly, his world went white. The book fell from seemingly thin air, hitting the ground with a thud. Sam was nowhere to be seen. “Wake, stranger!” Sam groaned as he came to, blinking at the harsh rays of sunlight that shone down from the ever-blue sky. He blinked a few times, trying to clear out his blurry vision. “Is he another traveler?” a voice whispered softly. “Make haste, make haste!” He found himself hauled up by a knight in shining armor. He recognized the face as one of the students from the folder. He gasped, “I found you.” But the knight simply furrowed his brow, no recognition evident in his gaze, “forgive me, stranger, I know not of whom you speak of.” "Mayhaps he dashed himself against the rocks?" The knight nodded, "mayhaps." It was then that Sam glanced down at his own clothes—his shirt and jeans replaced with tunic and trousers. He was no longer in his world. No, this world—with its crystal-clear skies and castle in the distance—was one that he found familiar. “Come. Let us take him to the palace. The wise women will know what to do.” “No,” Sam protested softly, “I cannot—” But he found himself being hauled up onto the horse, taken away.
