Severance - BTS OT7 CEO au Chapter 16
Tumblr media
So did anybody guess what was on the news? I thought it was rather obvious (it’s getting harder and harder to find gifs I haven’t used)
Prev / Next
“Care to explain this Y/n,” Junmyeon says, reaching for the remote and pressing play.
You feel your world freeze, the newscasters lips moving but the thumping in your ears drowns her out. Footage after footage of your dates, the three maknaes and you at the airport, date stamped proving you played hooky, there was nothing you could say to disprove the videos, not when in every single one they steal a kiss.
Your mouth opens but nothing comes out, not even a breath goes in, you’re stuck. You don’t see anything but the screen where the secret you so desperately wanted to keep was aired out for the world to witness. You don’t see Jongin desperately texting Jimin under the desk, what you do see is the channel cut to a newscaster introducing the last woman you ever expected to see, the shock filling your lungs with air so fast it makes you dizzy. Your eyes sting with tears as she starts talking, was this karma? Was this the universe telling you you made the wrong choice, that you should never have fallen for them, that you were too greedy for their love. Was this the price, the consequences?
“I think she’s hyperventilating,” the voice sounds muffled, your ears feel like they're full of burning cotton but at least someone has the sense to turn the screen off. Baekhyun fills your vision instead, hands on your shoulders with worried eyes on your form.
“Cars coming to pick her up, back entrance,” you recognise it's Jongin that’s speaking but the word’s go over your head.
Someone hands you a tissue but you don’t register the gesture until you hear a sigh. Chanyeol gently wipes your tears away, the stern look on his face softening when you look up at him. The sound of the phone ringing sounds so distant, like it was at the end of the tunnel. Jongin answers it before handing it to Junmyeon.
“Namjoon,” he greets through the line, the sound of his tone cutting through the fog you were drowning in. Joonie, you wanted nothing more than to be buried in his arms away from all this, but he wasn’t here. Whatever he was saying though the line made your current boss stare at you with an accusation that didn’t budge.
“We need to get her out without any more commotion,” he says to the others stiffly after he cuts the call.
“I’ll sort out the employees,” Kyungsoo states walking out.
The silence that follows is palpable, the lead CEO breaks it with a sigh, and you know it’s due to the aftermath he would have to deal with because of your decisions. He moves to walk past you, but you grab his sleeve before he can. You try not to flinch under his stare, your hands trembling where they hold him.
“I’m so sorry,” you say as sincerely as you can through a hoarse whisper. He acknowledges your words with a nod before he leaves. You’re quickly ushered to the corridor by the others, the sight of them shielding you like your own personal bodyguards would make you chuckle on any other day, but you were still shaking like a leaf.
All that work, all those years of making something of yourself, all the sacrifices and it came to this. Your life exposed to the world in a way that would cause it ruin. Your future at e.xo was done, no other company would ever employ you, you could never go back to work for bangtan. Everything was gone.
“Yeah we’re in the car, we got her out safe,” Seokjin says through the phone while Yoongi drives, his eyes glancing at you with worry.
A question Namjoon asks on the phone had Jin tensing, looking at you hesitantly. Is she okay?
“She’s not saying anything, she’s just shaking,” he sighs, he wanted to say more, how you were staring at the floor despondently, how when Jin tried to hold your hand to comfort you, you tensed and turned away.
The fear in their hearts that you regretted everything you had with them made Jin pull away, all he could do was be grateful they got to you before the media did, and in the tinted vehicle you were at least safe.
“It’s safe to go back to the mansion,” Jin tells Yoongi when he hangs up the call.
The drive is silent, they didn’t know what to say, everytime they tried the words died before they could form. Security was back in full force at their estate, running out any media outlet that tried to sneak close, their lawyers were having a field day. Not to mention the commotion at the office as they walked out, the whispers conjugated together so loud, not even Namjoon’s glare could silence them.
The gates open to the estate, and Yoongi can hear his heartbeat thumping faster and faster in his ears, it felt like they were coming to an impasse and there was no going back. The car slows to a stop, and as he kills the engine all they can do is stare at you.
Move. You had to move.
You could hear a faint commotion outside, the three maknaes running towards the car but a stern look from Yoongi stopped them in their tracks. Worry, anticipation, anxiety, no one knew exactly what concoction of emotions paralysed them, what made them hesitate to reach out to you.
“Kitten,” Yoongi starts softly, “you need to talk to us.”
That made you move, the door opening without a word in return. Your legs work against you, feeling like lead on twigs, a second away from collapsing. You couldn’t speak right now, your whole body felt empty and yet the weight of thoughts in your head made you need to bury it. You wanted your bed, you wanted to hide, and you wanted to be alone.
Yoongi shares a look with Jin, the hurt flashing between both of them at your rejection but they try not to take it to heart. You never wanted your relationship with them made public, not yet at least, you weren’t ready for the backlash, but now the choice was taken from you in the most heinous way.
“Noona,” Jungkook calls for you gently, a sadness in his eyes at the way you were walking with your head hanging low. Jimin holds him back, understanding better than anyone how you were feeling. He used to do the same, when something went wrong, when he made a mistake, he cut himself off from everyone, it would be a mistake to approach you until you were ready, until the voices in your head either broke you or quietened down.
The steps to the front door took so much energy from you, you didn’t think you had any left. You could feel them walking behind you at a distance, and yet it didn’t feel far enough or close enough. Something inside of you was tearing its way out and you didn’t know if you wanted to be embraced through it or to suffer it alone the way you had before so many times.
“Y/n,” Namjoon didn’t get the memo, he tries to embrace you but feels you stiffen against him, letting go immediately to look at your face with worry. “Baby girl, we'll fix this, okay? We-”
You push him away and he looks at you in shock, you didn’t want to hear it right now, you were barely holding yourself together. Voices were pounding inside of your head, the same repeated phrases over and over about how all your work was ruined, it was all for nothing, all your dreams, all your efforts. You couldn’t handle anything right now, you just needed your bed and to cry yourself to sleep alone.
“Y/n talk to me,” Namjoon says sternly, brows knitted at the way you didn’t even look at him.
He blocks your path when you try to walk past him, why didn’t he understand what you needed right now? You hear him sigh, as if his patience with you was wearing thin.
“Baby girl, you always do this,” he says, holding onto your shoulders to ground you, to keep you from leaving him. “You shut yourself down, you punish yourself, you push us away and then you break.”
“You can’t do that anymore sunshine,” Hoseok says standing beside you. “We’re in a relationship, we’re in this together, your pain is our pain Y/n.”
They watch you shake your head, bowing your head down so low as they hear the telltale sniffle that turns into a violent sob. Namjoon is quick to catch you in his arms, hushing your softly, stroking your hair until you calmed. All the while guilt ate him up, this was his fault, he could see it in all of their eyes as they watched you fall apart.
The house was solemn and quiet, you had retreated upstairs to your room, Jimin staying beside you while you slept.
“We underestimated that bitch,” Yoongi breaks the silence with what they were all thinking. They’re all scattered around the living room, Jungkook sitting deep in thought on the headrest of the sofa, Yoongi on the seat beside him. Namjoon sat opposite them with Hoseok on the armrest, Jin pacing the room slowly while Taehyung sat on the floor with his face in his hands. The black face of the TV on the wall stared at them, taunting them with what it held inside. The face broadcasted alongside yours and theirs was one that they barely remembered, but she had the audacity to be interviewed by any news outlet desperate enough for a story. They didn’t want to turn on the TV and see her face.
“She signed an NDA,” Namjoon says, a headache forming, “we didn’t think she was going to be a problem.”
“That’s where arrogance gets us,” Jin scoffs.
“Flower worked so hard for so long,” Taehyung says quietly, mourning for you. They all knew it better than anyone.
“We’ll fix this,” Namjoon states, he wouldn’t rest until they did.
“Namjoon be real for a second,” Hoseok sighs, “we might not be able to fix it.”
“No company is going to take her without an agenda,” Jungkook pipes in stoically.
“Or without thinking she’s a corporate spy,” Jin agrees.
“We can’t control everyone and everything,” Hoseok finishes, patting the lead CEO on the shoulder sympathetically.
“And we definitely can’t ignore a problem away,” Yoongi scoffs, staring daggers into Namjoon.
“Let’s not start this now,” Jin warns, feeling Namjoon’s guilt from a mile away.
“What does he mean?” Jungkook asks, feeling confused.
“Namjoon’s been burning threats concerning us,” Yoongi continues accusatively.
“We never opened those letters,” Namjoon argues back, “we don’t know what they contained.”
“Well we know now,” Yoongi says mockingly. He hated when you were upset, the feeling made his own claws unsheath, ready to tear into anyone who was held responsible.
“We don’t know the two things are connected,” Hoseok tries to defend their lead.
“Don’t be stupid Hobi,” Yoongi seethes, “Kitten’s whole career has gone down the drain because of us, what the fuck is she going to do if she finds out?”
“You best hope she doesn’t,” Taehyung snapped, his earlier melancholy now fueled by fear.
“We can’t keep this from her,” Hoseok shakes his head, disregarding the point.
“She’ll hate us,” Jungkook states, terrified it would manifest before his eyes soon.
“She’ll be angry at us,” Jin corrects him, “but we have to tell her.”
“Not now, it’s too soon,” Namjoon says quickly, his own fear warping his judgement.
“You should’ve opened one fucking letter,” Yoongi can’t let it go, all of this could’ve been avoided if it wasn’t for Namjoon’s stupid stubbornness.
“What good is bringing that up now going to do?” Hoseok sighs again.
“We don’t know if it’s connected!” Namjoon yells exasperated. “What we do know is Shin Suran leaked the photos and the story, and she is going to fucking pay.”
“So you’re saying the CEOs fired you because you threatened to expose their relationship to HR?” Solar, the newscaster asks her aghast.
“Honestly, I didn’t want to expose their… relationship,” she can’t hide the disgust in her voice at the word, “but I was concerned for Y/n’s wellbeing, I thought maybe they were holding her job over her head until I found out she was only entertaining them to climb the corporate ladder.”
Both anchors were shocked, the information sending them reeling.
“I mean what self respecting young woman would sell herself like that? Y/n was never a team player, or very good at her job but somehow she was always favoured by the CEO’s. It should have been obvious really.”
“Wow, that’s a lot of information to unpack Suran,” Solar says. “Aren’t you scared of the repercussions, these are the world’s business leads you’re going up against.”
“I only want to convey the truth,” Suran lies through her teeth. “It isn’t fair that the women who have worked hard and devoted themselves to Bangtan corporations are not appreciated or given the opportunities they deserve.”
“But Miss L/n left bangtan corporations,” the other anchor Hwasa finally speaks after having watched the little snake for so long. Something didn’t sit right with her and this woman’s sickly sweet attitude, it stank of deceit and she wasn’t blind to it.
“I have it on good information that she was sent to spy on the competition,” Suran’s eyes narrow, not liking her tone of voice.
“That’s a wild allegation,” Hwasa replies, every bit the professional. “I hope you have the evidence to back it up.”
“Bangtan corporations are under serious investigation after allegations of corporate espionage came from their former employee…”
She smiles at the screen plating in front of her, the chaos unravelling in so many wonderful ways. The Sun was shining despite the winter air, how many interviews could she fit into one day? Many it seemed, and while the day was over there was always tomorrow to cause more havoc to your life. Now she would sit and bask in the TV light, watching all of her fire ignite.
She had only gotten cosy when the doorbell rang to her little flat, groaning as she went to the door to answer it.
“Shin Suran?”
The three piece suit should give away something serious was in the brown paper envelope in his hands but she couldn’t bring herself to show any respect to the figure. She sneered and rolled her eyes, this man might’ve looked intimidating but she was currently on a high from ruining your life, nothing was going to bring her power trip down.
“Wi HaJoon,” he continues in the absence of a greeting, handing her the envelope. “You’ve been served.”
“What?” That elicits a reaction out of her, for some reason she didn’t even contemplate there would be consequences for her actions, deluded into thinking she was untouchable.
“You’re being sued for stalking, defamation and breaking the nondisclosure agreement you signed.”
That wasn’t part of her plan, her jaw drops to the ground and she realises maybe she played her cards all wrong. In the violent web of wanting to destroy your life she didn’t realise all her defences were gone. Maybe he was right after all.
When you wake up, the sun begins to set and Jimin’s warmth engulfs you. The feeling is comforting but fleeting, unfortunately real life problems don’t fade just because you’re in his arms. You wanted to bury yourself in his hold, have him take everything away until you were ready to deal with it. Jungkook’s favourite grey sweatshirt swallows you whole, his smell calming your senses, you try to focus on it when your mind tries to swim through the thoughts that wanted you to drown.
The door creaks open, two figures cautiously peaking in whispering to themselves. When Tae notices you’re awake he takes a seat beside you, caressing your cheek in his palm gently, his thumb soothing your skin. His eyes are downtrodden.
Jungkook kneels on the floor next to you, taking your hand in his and covering it with hard kisses, resting his cheek where they intertwined.
You try to get up but Jimin beside you grumbles in discontent, shuffling closer mumbling something under his breath without opening his eyes. A chaste kiss to your shoulder where the fabric hangs off your skin, lets you know he’s awake but refusing to let you go. The gesture brings a small but genuine smile to your face, one that turns into confusion as the commotion downstairs gets louder.
The younger two give each other knowing glances, one you don’t miss.
“What’s going on?” You ask, voice still hoarse from crying.
The hesitation in both of them fills you with dread. Did something else happen?
“They’re just trying to sort things out bunny,” Jungkook tries to reassure you, “it’s nothing to worry about.”
Despite Taehyung not wanting you to find out, something sickened him at the idea of keeping secrets from you. He knew how the truth always found its way out, and he knew if you didn’t hear it from them, it would have worse repercussions.
“Tae?” you could see a storm in his eyes, a battle between the loyalty to the others and his love for you.
“The hyungs…” he hesitates, Jimin now fully awake and sitting up at his deep uncertain tone.
Jungkook looks at him imploring him not to say it yet, it was going to be too much to deal with so soon after this morning. You grab Jimin’s arm, pulling yourself up closer to Taehyung who now avoided your gaze.
“Guys what’s going on?”
“I’ve been here with you,” Jimin mumbles half asleep, his hair a soft mess on his head.
“Kookie?” you turn to the youngest who bites his lips nervously, doe eyes begging you not to ask him.
“You’re worrying me,” your nerves were shot, the trauma from this morning making you beyond paranoid. What could be worse than this morning, what weren’t they telling you.
“Jimin, Jungkook and I didn’t know,” Taehyung starts slowly, not wanting to put his hyung’s under the bus but he wasn’t going to let them shoulder the blame when they were innocent. Plus when this was over he had a feeling you would ostracise the older four for a while, he couldn’t handle being a part of that.
“Didn’t know what?” you ask tentatively, urging him to continue.
“I still don’t know,” Jimin grumbles, getting annoyed with the suspense.
“Namjoon Hyung has been getting letters,” Jungkook says when Taehyung pauses for too long. He sighs, cursing the hyung’s for keeping this from you when he knew the betrayal would crush you.
“What letters?”
Something ticks in Jimin’s brain, his sleep filled eyes going wide with realisation. The other day in the office, when the hyung’s went solemn, it was to do with that?
“We think…” Taehyung tries not to stumble over his words, “they were threats, about you or us, but we don’t know because…”
Threats? You’re sent reeling, did Namjoon know this was coming? And he did nothing to warn you, or confide in you?
“Because what?” you breathe, your voice heavy, eyes watering as your thoughts ran away from you. Jimin places an arm around your shoulders, trying to soothe you.
“He burned the letters before he opened them,” Jungkook finishes, feeling a deep rooted shame for his favourite hyung, and for selling him out.
“Angel…”
Jimin calls after you as you throw the covers off of you, storming downstairs to confront the men hiding things from you.
“Sunshine-”
“You’ve been getting threats and you didn’t tell me?”
They startle at your accusation, as right as it was, the four of them confounded until the younger three stumble in behind you. All four hyungs glance at them disgruntled and disappointed, this was not the way to handle things, the thought was hypocritical but justified in their minds.
“You didn’t tell me?” Your teary eyes pierce Yoongi with so much sadness, of all of them you never expected him to keep it from you, and for some reason it stung the worst.
“Kitten,” he tries reaching out to you, a vulnerable edge to his voice. He would let you scratch and claw at him until you were satisfied, anything to keep you from looking at him like that again.
“Babygirl it’s my fault,” Namjoon sighs, taking the edge of his hyung and shouldering all the blame. “I told them not to.”
You turn back to him with anger in your eyes.
“Namjoon you’re the lead at work but that doesn’t make you the lead in this relationship,” you snap. “You had no right to keep this from me!”
“I know,” he says, his voice small.
“How long have you been getting these letters?” You ask and he hangs his head in shame.
“Months…” he replies, “since you left the company.”
You stare at him appalled and it wounds him.
“You have the gall to tell me how to behave in this relationship Kim Namjoon,” Your voice is strained through the onslaught of angry tears. “And you keep this from me?”
“I didn’t know what the letters said,” he says as an excuse, and he knows it’s a feeble one.
You shake your head in disbelief.
“I thought you of all people would get it Joonie,” the way your voice breaks cuts through him with shame. “You built everything from the ground up, I admired you long before I loved you. So how the hell could you play with my future like this?”
“Baby girl that was never my intention,” he begs you to understand him now, that he didn’t behave nonchalant with a potential threat, he thought he was doing what was best.
“It doesn’t matter what your intention was! There was a clear right and wrong, and you know it.”
He bows his head again, you were right, he disrespected you when he didn’t discuss the letters with you, you should’ve made the decision together as to what to do with them. But in his heart he thought he was protecting you, protecting your peace and happiness, but all of that was a bubble set to burst.
“We don’t know that it’s connected beautiful,” Jin steps in between you, speaking as softly as he can knowing you were full of rage and sorrow, but he watched Namjoon take the blow and needed to shield him a little.
“We don’t know that it’s not,” you argued back. “We have no way of knowing, because instead of talking to me about something unpleasant, you guys decided to bury it.”
“Sunshine, I get that you’re upset-” Hoseok tries but the look of incredulous shock shuts him up.
“Upset?” you repeat, the strain in your voice carrying tears. “Everything I worked for, all my dreams, are gone.”
It was a struggle to get out every word, having to take a breath between each one, but you were determined to.
“No company is going to employ me, even if they do I’ll be subjugated to whispers and isolation and we know how that worked out last time.”
You sniffle, wiping your nose and tears with your sleeve. You wanted to appear strong but you were breaking down, didn’t they understand what they had done? Didn’t they care? Or were they so comfortable in their gold seats so far above you they forgot about their struggles on the way there?
“I didn’t join your company to seduce you, I wanted to work hard and make something of myself, maybe start my own company one day, but all of that is gone.”
“Kitten,” Yoongi dares himself to try again, to console you even if you pushed him away. He walks over to you, remembering all the times you seeked him out for comfort. It used to confound the others, how Mr Stoic Stone was the one that you reached for, and even though it was unusual for him to step into those shoes, with you it came so naturally. He wanted to be the one you searched for when you needed soothing, he never wanted to lose that connection he built with you, ever. He knew it was a privilege, one he never took for granted.
He hates the way you look at him now, it breaks his heart, those watering eyes showing how truly hurt you were while you tried to control the trembling of your bottom lip, tried to look strong in front of him.
“Whatever you think is gone, we can rebuild,” he takes your face in his hands, kissing the top of your head softly before looking into your eyes. “I am so sorry for not telling you, but I promise you whatever dreams you had will come true. It's just going to suck for a while and that’s our fault.”
“We know better than anyone how hard you work sunshine,” Hoseok smiles at you sadly, regretting not telling you.
“If you want a company babygirl, we’ll get you a company,” Namjoon’s own voice thick with remorse. “Whatever you want.”
“There’s enough space in the office for another desk,” Jimin tries to lighten the mood with a teasing lilt to his voice, but he’s not joking at all. “No one would dare to whisper about our angel CEO.”
You shake your head, removing Yoongi’s hold on you. They didn’t get it. You’ve worked for everything you had, it was how you had always been. You didn’t want to be handed a title you didn’t earn, or have your powerful boyfriends buy positions for you.
“Why would that be such a bad idea, beautiful?” Jin asks softly. “You’re more than capable.”
“I don’t need anyone thinking I slept my way to the top,” you scoff.
“Who cares what other people think, Kitten?” Yoongi sighs. “No one can deny you deserve a CEO position.”
You shake your head again, breathes of humourless laughter escaping your lips. They really didn’t get it. It was so easy to say that when you were untouchable to people’s words.
“You guys made the decision by yourselves to keep this from me,” you state, not looking at them but to the ground. “My career has nothing to do with you, whatever happens next is my choice.”
“Kitten-”
“You don’t have the right Yoongi,” you try to keep the anger out of your voice. “None of you do right now. I need to figure this out alone.”
“Are you breaking up with us?” Jungkook asks in a panic, not moving from the doorway, he would block your exit, he would fall to his knees and beg you to stay.
“No,” you reassure him with a syllable. “I love you, I always will, I’m just angry right now.”
“And you have every right to be,” Namjoon agrees solemnly.
“I just have one last thing on my mind,” you frown, an obvious question was left unanswered.
You face Namjoon, knowing he would hold the answer.
“You destroyed the letters before opening them,” it’s not a question but it sounds like one.
He nods, wondering where you were going with this.
“So how did you know they were threats?”
He hesitates, trying to build up the courage to tell you how he knew exactly who they were from.
“The return address,” Jin answers for him. “It was from the penitentiary.”
The realisation hits you, and for some reason it makes the whole situation so much worse. The accusation in your eyes returns as you gaze at Namjoon. He knew exactly what he was dealing with when he got rid of those letters, and looking at you now he knew he would have to beg for your forgiveness.
Bonus scene flashback:
Dear Kim Namjoon,
You haven’t responded to the last 6 letters I have sent, so either you’re not taking me seriously, or you haven’t read a single one. Both choices are not in anyone’s best interest, I don’t think you realise the situation you’ve put me in, I have nothing to lose.
The deadline is approaching for you to transfer the funds and secure my release. I am not spending years in jail because of your jealousy. Enclosed are copies of the images I will release to the media, I bet you’re wondering how I was able to get these when you locked me away.
It seems I’m not the only one you thought you could cross and toss away. For your sake, I hope you make the right choice.
I look forward to hearing from you,
Alexander Pettyfer
“They haven’t responded to a single one of your stupid letters, what makes you think they will now?” Suran scoffs at the news that he sent another.
“Just be patient,” he replies, the usually clean cut male looking rugged and rough. “We need something out of this other than just ruining their lives.”
“Look, the images I got are proof enough about what that whore is doing, I say we release them.”
“Not yet!” The rise in his voice gets the guards attention, and he takes a deep breath to calm down. Stupid woman didn’t know when to listen, it was unfortunate that he had to use her, although he should count his blessings the day she came and visited for the first time with an idea to take the CEOs down.

Here is Chapter 13! Yoongi gets in his feelings. Comedic Yoongi also makes an appearance. I was struggling with the ending of this chapter so I don’t know what happened there. As always comments and messages are appreciated, even if I don’t answer. Next chapter will hopefully be out some time early next week.
Yoongi X Female Reader. CEO/Arranged Marriage AU
Summary: You were selected to marry the wayward CEO/Billionaire/Heir, Min Yoongi. You went into it with an open mind and heart determined to try and make it work. Yoongi on the other hand had no intention of ever letting you in let alone allowing himself to fall in love with you. Slowly you start to associate the smell of cinnamon and vanilla with the feelings of hurt and sorrow.
Word count: 3,268
Warnings: (May get updated as chapters progress): Arranged marriage, cheating/infidelity, hints of smut (Probably won’t get very explicit but we’ll see how it goes), Sexual Assault, Brief mentions of death, Reader grew up an orphan, General Angst, Swearing

Once back inside you kicked off your shoes and walked to the kitchen to grab a glass of water and a quick snack. You wanted to discuss more of his plan, but Yoongi told you that it was late and you were both exhausted and should get some sleep. You agreed and decided to talk it out in the morning instead.
Making the walk back to your room you stopped when you heard someone clear their throat. When you turned around Yoongi was standing there awkwardly shifting from side to side.
“Can I help you?”, you asked with a smirk.
“Um well uh yeah I was wondering if you wanted to come sleep in my room with me. Only if you want to. You don’t have to. I’d understand if you didn’t I just thought maybe you-.”
You had heard enough and began walking towards his room letting yourself in. He followed closely behind feeling like his heart was going to beat out of his chest.
Lying in his bed with the faint scent of his familiar cologne still lingering within the bedding made your skin tingle. You thought back to the only times the two of you shared a bed together. Your honeymoon and the cabin and it hadn’t ended well either time. You hoped that things would be different this time.
Once he finished up his nighttime routine Yoongi joined you in bed shortly after. He seemed nervous which you decided was the perfect time for a little payback before going to sleep. Turning over to face him you quickly wrapped your arms around his midsection pulling yourself as close to him as you could possibly get. You had to stifle a giggle when you felt his entire body tense up.
“What Mr. Womanizer Cheating Asshole is suddenly nervous?”, you jokingly asked while toying with the waistband of his sweatpants.
“Come on Yoongi. It’s just little ol’ me.”, you continued while running your hand up and down his thigh. You inched your hand closer and closer between placing kisses on his neck. The spot just below his ear elicited a moan on his part which he quickly tried to cover up with a cough, but you knew what you heard.
You could tell he was starting to get worked up just like you wanted. As his body started to relax a little he got a little braver and slowly reached up through your shirt. His hand started on your lower back before moving around inching closer and closer to your chest.
You continued to lightly tease him a little watching as his chest began to to rise and fall rapidly in anticipation. You knew he was reaching the point of no return when he grabbed onto your hips trying to pull you on top of him. As much as you wanted to let him and continue this you opted to instead move forward with your initial intentions. Swiftly you pulled away and turned the opposite direction stretching and faking a long yawn, “Wow suddenly I am just so tired. It was a really long day. Don’t you agree? I think we should just go to sleep.”
Curled up in a ball you smiled to yourself as you heard Yoongi shift uncomfortably next to you. You gasped in surprise when you felt two hands grip your hips quickly pulling you across the bed. You were lying flush against him when he placed a kiss to the back of your neck before snuggling his face into you.
“Well played Y/N. Well played.”
You chuckled before allowing yourself to fall into a deep sleep.
The next morning you woke up to the smell of coffee and bacon. Yoongi greeted you in the kitchen placing a mug of tea in front of you before turning back to the stove and finishing up the omelette he was working on. After all the food was set down on the table you began eating enjoying the meal in front of you.
A knock at the door interrupted you two and Yoongi went to see who was there. You were pleased to see Jimin walking in with Jin and Yoongi following not far behind.
“I missed you. I have so much to tell you.”, Jimin said giving you a hug.
“Oh not as much as I do I bet.”, you quipped in return.
Yoongi poured two more cups of coffee and the four of you sat at the table to come up with a plan.
Yoongi began, “The only way to handle Suri is to beat her at her own game. That means lying and deceiving.” Everyone nodded in agreement.
He continued, “So we are all going to continue as if we have no idea that she is lying. I’m going to tell Suri that Y/N knows about the baby and is moving out. She will go live with Jimin for the time being. Suri will move in here.”
This must’ve been what Yoongi meant by you’re not going to like his plan you thought. You could feel your blood already begin to boil, “What the hell? Absolutely not. I can’t believe you Yoongi. If you want to keep sleeping with her then just say so. There’s no need to go through all this trouble then, but I’m not going to sit around any more and pretend like it’s okay.” You weren’t expecting to have an outburst like that first thing in the morning.
Yoongi reached out across the table taking your hand in his, “Y/N, I promise nothing will happen with her. You are right. If I wanted to I could just keep sleeping with her and not put any of us through this, but I don’t want that. I want this to be over and finally be behind me. I know it’s tough and I deserve your anger and uncertainty, but you need to trust me on this.”
You stared at him afraid you might say something you’ll regret later. You wanted to believe him and he made a valid point, but there was still that tiny part of you that was struggling with whether or not you could fully trust him.
Thankfully Jin spoke next to move the conversation along.
“It’s a known fact that Suri has a thing for handsome rich idiots as in exhibit A.”, he said pointing at Yoongi who rolled his eyes at his friend cracking jokes at his expense. “So luckily I happen to know quite a few of them and have managed to persuade one to come along with our plan.”
Jin placed a photo on the table and you immediately recognized the person staring back at you.
“How do you know Kim Woo-Sung?”, you asked hoping your voice didn’t shake.
“I’ve represented him a few times. We needed someone we could trust, but not someone so close to our usual friends circle that Suri would be suspicious. I think Woo-Sung will be a perfect fit for the job.”, Jin replied.
Yoongi cleared his throat, “Try not to get any drool on the table Y/N.”
You realized you’d been staring at the photo just a little too long which caused Yoongi to be a little jealous. He was now second guessing their choice in accomplice.
Yoongi took control of the conversation once more.
“So I’ll ask Suri to come over saying that I just told Y/N about the baby and that she’s currently packing and moving out. When Suri gets here Y/N and I will get in an argument again so that it’s believable and Suri can here us with her own ears. Then Y/N will storm off and go to Jimin’s. Suri can move in shortly after.”
Yoongi started to shift uneasily which meant something was about to happen that you wouldn’t like.
Jin took control of the meeting and began, “Now we can’t just immediately plant Woo-Sung because Suri will get suspicious if things move too quickly. So for the time being until we get Woo-Sung involved Yoongi will have to act normal. Meaning he’ll have to talk to Suri like nothing is wrong and spend time with her alone. I’m thinking we should wait about a month to bring in Woo-Sung.”
The thought of Yoongi sleeping in the same home as Suri made your skin crawl. You still didn’t 100% trust him and you didn’t trust her as far as you could throw her.
“Y/N I promise nothing will happen between her and I. I am only going to see her as much as I absolutely have to. Please you have to trust me.”, Yoongi begged.
Jin hurried and changed the subject, “So I’ve already contacted Namjoon and made him aware as well. He’s agreed to play along and not say anything. Now as far as the Woo-Sung situation, we’ll have him and Y/N come over one night while Yoongi isn’t here under the guise that Y/N needs to grab a few of her things. Woo-Sung and Y/N will pretend to be having some sort of a relationship which will surely peak the interest of Suri. He will be wearing a hidden recorder while he tries to coax as much information out of Suri as he can while Y/N is in her room packing. Now hopefully we can get what we need in one shot, but this might take more than one meeting and we can’t rush it.”
“Okay and what are we going to do with this recording once we have it?”, you asked.
“We threaten exactly what she did. We’ll go to the media.” Yoongi advised.
“Okay and how would that hurt her other than some embarrassment? I mean it’s not like she own me a company or anything like Yoongi. There’s not much for her to lose.”, you asked.
“Well Suri doesn’t, but the rest of her family does. Her dad owns Bangtan Records. Her brother owns BigHit Realtors which is one of the top realtor companies in the country, and her mom is co-founder of Suga Sweets , a very popular bakery chain. Her grandparents and cousins all own various businesses and are prominent people. Suri has always kind of been the black sheep of her family. She never did much other than get by on her looks and her ability to scam people. Her parents are already pretty embarrassed of her. If it gets out that she’s lying and deceiving people like this, black mailing Yoongi all these years and even using her own unborn baby as a means of blackmail then her family’s businesses would suffer and she’ll finally be blacklisted from her family for sure. She won’t want to do that especially since I have cut her off so she’ll need daddy’s money to survive. Once she knows that we have evidence that could ruin her she’ll backdown.”, Yoongi said. You were still suspicious, but decided to trust the process.
After hashing out a few more of the smaller details you felt like you had a solid plan. You and Yoongi said your goodbyes and returned back to the living room plopping down on the couch.
“You know, I really don’t like this plan of yours. Things are just starting to work between us and I’m really worried this is gonna mess everything up.”
Yoongi turned slightly so he could face you.
“Y/N, I know I messed up a lot in the past. I promise you that I am no longer that person. Especially not with someone like Suri. We’re not even going to sleep in the same room. I have to go out of town for like a week anyways go we have that factor too. Just please give me a chance.”
You nodded before resting back against the couch with your head on his shoulder.
He continued, “And do you think I like the idea of you pretending to have a thing going on with Woo-Sung? I saw the way you looked at him.”
“I mean he is really really beautiful.”, you said playfully.
You heard Yoongi scoff before he turned his head to look out the window. His face turning slight shade of red. He began bouncing his knee signaling his agitation.
“Hey are you okay? I was only kidding about Woo-Sung.”, you asked.
When you didn’t get a response you gently pulled his face to look at you and that’s when you noticed the tears in his waterline threatening to spill.
“Yoongi why are you so upset? I didn’t mean to hurt you.”
Wiping away at the tears that broke free he took a deep breath.
“I know. It’s just I know you could do 100 times better than me. I feel so guilty for everything I put you through because I didn’t want to grow up and face my demons. I can’t help but think about how much happier you’d be with someone like Woo-Sung or Taehyung or even Jimin. I know we’re working on things and this is all my fault anyways, but I’m so afraid to lose this. For the first time in a long time I wake up happy and excited for the day. I go to sleep relaxed and peaceful. I don’t feel as angry or depressed any more. And that’s all because of you and I’m so scared I’m going to mess it up. For once in my life I just want to feel like something other than a failure.”
You sat there watching him wipe away the tears. It pained you to see him breakdown like this.
Leaning over you wrapped your arms around his neck pulling him to lie down on your chest as he continued to sniffle.
You placed a kiss to the top of his head and softly rubbed his back in circles.
“Yoongi, I don’t 100% trust you and you can’t blame me for feeling that way, but I do see everything you’re doing. I just need time to make sure that you’ve changed before I fully let my guard down. But that doesn’t mean that I’m just going to up and leave at the tiniest thing. I mean I’ve stuck around this long.”
His breathing started to balance out.
“Plus I did sign a contract so I couldn’t leave you even if I wanted to anyways.”, you said getting a chuckle out of Yoongi.
You let him calm down and relax some more before standing up and grabbing his hand to pull him down the hall to his bedroom. He sat down on the bed curious as to what you were up to. After returning from his closet you handed him a pair of black slacks and a pink button down shirt, one of your favorites on him.
“Here put these on and meet by the front door in like twenty minutes. You are taking me out to lunch for some sushi and then we’re going to get some ice cream and then we’re going to go shopping because I need a new suitcase for when I storm out of here and go live with Jimin.”
You went to walk out of the room when Yoongi grabbed your wrist pulling you into him.
“You know I really like this new side of you.”, he whispered against your neck.
You pushed him flat against the bed before getting on top straddling his hips. Placing kisses along his jaw as your hands roamed his chest. You felt his hands grab at your hips pushing you down onto him at which point you smirked before giving him one final kiss on the lips and hopping off the bed chuckling at the way he made grabby hands for you.
“Get dressed Yoongi. I’m starving.”
“How many times are you going to do that to me?”, he asked.
“As many as it takes for me to feel like you’ve suffered enough.”, you giggled watching him dramatically slide onto the floor after your rejection.
“Alright. Give me like thirty minutes. I’m gonna need a cold shower.”
“Mmhm sure Yoongi. Whatever gets you out the door.”
You guys had a late lunch followed by some very tasty ice cream and then topped the day off with some shopping. All you really wanted was some new luggage that you didn’t even really need but you figured it was the least he could do. He insisted though on buying more and more. Every time you stopped to look at something he’d already hand it to the store associate before you could stop him. The next thing you know you’re walking into your room with multiple bags overflowing with clothes and jewelry.
“You know, once this whole thing is over we can move all of your stuff into the closet in my room. It’s big enough to fit everything”, Yoongi said taking the final bag and placing it on the closet floor.
“Yeah, you mean I don’t have to be banished to the spare bedroom anymore?”, you smiled before flopping down onto the bed. He flopped down next to you seconds later.
“Only when you’ve been a bad girl.”
You rolled your eyes before breaking out into a giggle fit.
After a few minutes of silence you heard the familiar ding of his phone going off. He pulled it out of his pocket before reading over the text message.
He looked at you and gave tight lip smile.
“Jin said that Woo-Sung has been filled in on everything and is ready to go. Jin’s saying we should put the plan into motion in about a week.”
Yoongi typed a quick response before putting the phone back in his packet and lying back next to you.
“I’m nervous Yoongi. What if this doesn’t work? Or what if it makes everything worse?”
“It’ll be okay Y/N. I won’t let her make it worse. We have the proof the baby is not mine and honestly at this point I don’t care what she does any more. She can go to the media and say whatever she wants about me. If it comes down to it I’ll sell everything and we’ll move out to the countryside. I’ll become a sheep farmer or something if I have to.”
You snorted at the thought of Yoongi in dirty overalls trying to herd a group of sheep through a muddy field.
“Have you ever even set foot on a farm? I don’t think Valentino makes farm clothes.” you asked trying to control your laughter.
“No, but I can learn. How hard could it be?”
“I mean pretty hard. It’s a lot of work.”
There was a long pause where you mulled over his story.
“I’m thinking Petunia.”, he said suddenly.
“What?”, you asked extremely confused.
“The first sheep I get, I’m gonna name her Petunia.”
“Okay Yoongi. Whatever you say, but let’s not go buying any farms just yet.”, you chuckled.
He smiled, “We should get some sleep. It’s getting pretty late.”
“Your bed or mine?”, you asked before grabbing a nightshirt from the dresser.
“Let’s stay here tonight. Your bed is smaller than mine which means less space between us.”, he said wiggling his eyebrows.
After an overly dramatic sigh you agreed much to the pleasure of your husband.
You got in the bed next to him feeling his arms quickly wrap around you.
“What about Sweet Pea or Woolfred?”
“Yoongi, are you seriously still naming your imaginary sheep?”
“Ohhh what about Sir Reginald McFluffers the third?”
“Yoongi go to sleep or you won’t even have to wait for me to storm out and go sleep at Jimin’s. I’ll do it right now.”
You felt him chuckle against your shoulder.
“Alright, good night Y/N.”
“Good night Yoongi.”

Summary: Choi Y/N was used to being the background character to her older sister's life. Yuri was everything that her parents wanted and Y/N was left by herself. It wasn’t preferred but she managed her life perfectly fine. It wasn’t until Yuri asked “Can you do me a favor?” that her life changed and she became the main character.
Y/N stared at her sister with a confused face. Whatever her sister wanted it was urgent and it was clear with her eyes. Yuri sighed and took her phone out. Y/N watched anxiously and waited for her sister to show her the phone. She glanced at the rectangle and then at her sister, “Can you do me a favor?”
She tilted her head and nodded her head slowly. Yuri smiled nervously and typed another sentence out, “I need you to go on a date for me.”
Y/N’s eyes widened at this and shook her head. Yuri frowned and started begging at her sister, “Please, mom and dad set this date up for me. They just wanted one of Choi's daughters and they just picked me because I'm older.”
Y/N took her phone out, “Who is it with? I’m not saying yes but I am curious...”
“Kim Seokjin.”

giving the members just a year to fine tune their individual craft now seems so gimmicky in retrospect. and I know some members didn’t have a choice with that age cap for that new law, but even with that, there’s absolutely no satisfaction from this chapter even outside everything that hybe has pulled because their debuts were stacked ontop of each other with no room to breathe. it really didn’t feel like an opportunity to find themselves, more like an extended break where they just put out solo albums because they needed to.

I decided to do a poll to see which story you all would like to read first. I've been working on each of these stories and I'm fine with doing whichever. I'll just need some time to work on them more before releasing them 😊 Read the synopsis of each and then vote for which one you want in the poll located at the end of this post!
•Desirous
Your fate had been set into stone from the moment Hoseok saw you. Following Covetous is Desirous. Hoseok's PoV from within the Baeks' household.
Pairing: Yandere Vampire Hoseok x Fem/AFAB Reader
•Honeyed Affair
CEO of SiJak Electronics Kim Taehyung, a romantic at heart, has one job and one job only and it's to convince you that being his sugar baby will be the solution to all of your problems. You, a hard worker with baggage, reluctantly agrees and now he'll spend the rest of your time together trying to sweep you off of your feet. But will it work?
Pairing: CEO Sugar Daddy Taehyung x Fem/AFAB Reader
•Obsession
Jungkook could say he's a relatively sane man. He has his hyperfixations like most but nothing like this. When he sees you he decides he needs to know more and if that means he has to invade your personal space, well, he'll do what he has to do to let you know you're his.
Based off of Aventura's song Obsesión.
Pairing: Yandere Jungkook x Fem/AFAB Reader
•Don't Say I Love You
Your heart is broken. Breathing hurts. Living hurts and it was all due to your best friend. He told you it was a mistake being with you romantically and you wonder when these feelings started to plague him because for you it was far from a mistake. You try to live without him but it seems like there's more to your breakup than you originally thought. What was it and could you ever look at him the same way again?
Pairing: Idol Yoongi x Fem/AFAB reader
•Pachinko
Starting his days early means Jimin has a run in with the friendly neighborhood cat. He doesn't know where it came from but he does his best to take care of it. But why is it his early mornings also come with a crazy woman claiming Jimin is a thief? You're the crazy woman but to Jimin you're nobody so who the fuck are you?
Pairing: Jimin x Fem/AFAB reader
•Resentment a Covetous Sequel
It's been a few months since you've been turned and with that fact comes painful emotions you shut down from. Here is an update on your life now that you're no longer yourself. Now that you're Hoseok's. Forever.
Pairing: Yandere Vampire Hoseok x Fem/AFAB Reader
•Untitled Yandere OT7
You and Yoongi have been together for 3 months. It's been an extraordinary time together despite having to keep quiet about it to avoid media attention. His brothers are super supportive, but maybe a little too much. You don't notice it until it's too late and now you're being thrust into a life you didn't ask for.
Pairing: Yandere Idol OT7 x Fem/AFAB Reader
•Untitled Yandere Kim Seokjin
It's been a couple of years since your parents divorced and it's been a couple of years before your mother found someone else to love. Along with this new man comes his son who your mother adores. He's nice you have to admit but you're not that interested in getting to know him unlike how he would like to get to know you. Even if it's the last thing he'll ever do.
Pairing: Yandere Step-brother Seokjin x Fem/AFAB Reader

eight years (III) – bts
Tumblr media
[warnings: a tad bit of angst but that’s it]
summary: in which y/n and the boys misunderstand each other | part two and a half
word count: 4,481
main masterlist | bts reactions masterlist
"Guys, stop," You whined as you tossed and turned in the bed, trying to hide your face from them.
"Never!" Jungkook yelled and turned your back on your back so Taehyung and Jimin could continue kissing your face.
You giggled and tried to push them away, but the warm, toned bodies wouldn't budge.
"You better stop before I call Yoongi," You managed to get out in between giggles and kisses. They suddenly stopped and you opened your eyes, blinking at them with a smirk on your face.
"You wouldn't dare," Taehyung eyed you.
"Try me."
The three men looked at each other before letting you go.
"That's what I thought," You hummed smugly as they moved away from your body.
"That wasn't nice cry baby," Jimin tutted.
"No, but you love me anyway, right?"
His response was a quick peck on your forehead, making you grin happily.
That wasn't reality, well it was, just not your current.
You immediately sat up as soon as you saw Jungkook's face next to yours, pushing right through his strong grip on your waist.
The rest of them were still asleep as you looked around the bed. They looked peaceful, happy even. But you were full of regret and disappointment. And you were so disgusted with yourself.
Though you were on good terms with the boys, how could you allow yourself to be so vulnerable around them? Especially when they hadn't worked for it ever since they broke your heart.
But you always had a soft spot for them and you assumed you always would despite everything.
You tried to slip out from under the covers as quietly as possible, which wasn't too hard. But climbing over Jungkook, Hoseok, and Jimin's bodies was a far more difficult task.
You huffed once you realized you were wearing Jungkook's button-up from the night before. The one he wore to your shit show of a wedding.
You grabbed your heels and dress from off of the floor, and your phone from the nightstand so you could call yourself a ride.
"Y/N, where are you going?"
Jungkook's voice was groggy and the way he rubbed his eyes with a small pout on his face would've made you melt two years ago, maybe even a year ago. But it only further irritated you.
He wasn't the problem necessarily, but your inability to keep your walls up around them frustrated you.
"Home."
"You don't want to stay for breakfast?"
"No. This was a mistake," You shook your head as you booked your Lyft.
You slipped your phone under your armpit as you looked around for some pants to wear.
You picked up the first pair you saw which might be either Jimin or Yoongi's basketball shorts. But you could care less as you slipped them on your body and tied the strings tight around your waist.
"Y/N-"
But you quickly cut him off, not wanting to hear anything that might persuade you to stay.
"Just let me go. I bared my soul to you last night; you know all my insecurities, all my fears. I'm so embarrassed. And the blogs are probably tearing me to shreds right now," You ranted. You grew hot at the thought of the blogs and how much damage control you'd have to do. It wasn't just about your reputation anymore, but about your family's business. "I have to deal with the consequences of my bad decisions. I can't lay up in this bed with you all and pretend we're in love. We're not."
Jungkook sat up from the bed, letting the covers fall to his lap and display his bare chest. He looked so vulnerable as he sat there looking at you with a quivering lip and big, begging eyes.
"We let you go before."
"Because you didn't love me."
"We always loved you, Y/N. We'll always love you."
You scoffed as you turned your back on him so you could leave and wait for your ride downstairs in their living room. "I've heard it all before, by way too many people. I'm done."
As you walked the halls of the house you once called home, you thought about the last time you were here. When you left them after they told you they didn't love you anymore and you refused to break down in front of them.
Yet last night, you had been so weak it made your stomach hurt.
You had no idea what made you want to watch Forrest Gump, but the boys easily obliged.
It was a dumb decision on both parts; you knew you would cry, they knew you would cry and the whole point of being with them was so that they could keep your mind off of what was going on.
"She didn't deserve him," You mumbled as the tears rolled down your face. "He... he deserved a pure love. He didn't deserve to be used when she was bored and then left by himself for years on end. He deserved so much better."
"We know," Jimin nodded and placed your head on his chest as Hoseok leaned over Jimin to take the bottle from your hands.
You were so out of it you barely noticed and just rested your head on Jimin's chest. You were curled up between him and Namjoon, the heat of their bodies bringing you comfort and allowing you to relax.
"I deserved so much better. And now I'm just... damaged goods all because I wanted to be loved." "Y/N, don't say that, you're not damaged goods," Namjoon quickly spoke up and rubbed your back with his large hands. Hands you used to love and crave holding. Hands that always brought you home.
"What was it about me that made you stop loving me? Was there someone else?" You looked up at Jimin, his eyes immediately meeting yours. They were questions that weighed on you for a while now, and it was something they knew they'd have to answer eventually. "Why won't anyone love me?"
"You did absolutely nothing wrong," Jungkook assured you as he shot off the couch to kneel in front of you.
"And there was no one else. There will never be anyone else," Yoongi promised.
"I don't know if I can believe that right now. I want to, but I can't."
Jungkook visibly deflated in front of you and let a pout rest on his face. The guilt you felt when you saw his pout wasn't even a fraction of the guilt they all felt.
As Jungkook rested his head on your lap, you were almost convinced to forgive them.
Almost.
Your last day in Bora Bora was nothing short of wet. The thunderstorm lasted all day and you were stuck wondering if it would affect your plane ride home tomorrow.
You hoped it would be sunny in Seoul; sunny and ready for the new woman you've become.
You spent a whole year here, doing small things for Y/L/N Incorporated and taking classes to stay on top of the ever-changing business world. You wanted to be prepared to take over the business by the time you got back home. And while the classes were stressful at times, they kept you on your toes and made you a better businesswoman.
Every Monday you talked to your therapist, which is something you don't plan on changing. You learned about the importance of communication and how much chaos there would be without it. You know firsthand how the lack of communication can ruin things that could've easily been salvaged. Your therapist also taught you how to let things go if you feel something is no longer worth your time and energy.
This time away from Seoul and all the drama you left there to die, did wonders. You truly took the time to focus on yourself and become a better person.
You forgave Kyong even though he never offered you an apology. That hurt wasn't something worth holding onto. It was only hurting you and allowing bitterness to manifest inside of you.
The boys were the easiest to forgive seeing as they tried offering explanations and apologies. And even though you didn't believe them at the time they were offered, you believed them now. You allowed yourself to look past your anxiety and believe you were a good fiancée. You were kind and loyal and thoughtful. And for a while, you believed you deserved everything that happened to you, but now you know that you didn't.
Most importantly, you forgave yourself. After starting to believe you deserved all the good things in the world, you were mad at yourself for ever allowing anything that wasn't such.
You were the hardest person to forgive but you knew to love yourself you had to forgive and let go. It's one thing to resent someone but it's another to resent yourself. You were only hurting yourself and you were tired of feeling weak.
This year helped you love yourself, so much so that you're not scared to be alone anymore. You were ready to take on the world and you were more than happy to do it by yourself.
So as the rain came down and the clouds swarmed over your vacation home, you allowed yourself to take a deep breath and think positive.
Rain is a good thing; it helps even the most neglected forms of life grow.
The first order of business after you settled into your apartment was having dinner with Ha-joon. Your loyal and protective best friend didn't go a day without talking to you while you were away. Whether it was a simple text or a two-hour-long phone call, Hajoon didn't miss a day.
You could see Hajoon jumping up and down and clapping excitedly as you walked toward her. The glaring streetlight showed every bit of emotion on her face and you don't think you've ever seen anyone so thrilled.
"Y/N!"
"Relax, it's not like Beyoncé's here," You teased once you finally reached her.
She wasted no time pulling you into a hug and squealing loudly in your ear. "I missed you so much!" She professed, not caring about the future of your hearing or the fact that everyone was beginning to stare at her.
"Okay, Ha-joon, stop yelling before you rupture my eardrum or something."
"I'm just so happy to see you."
"I know," You nodded as you pulled away from her death grip and held her at arm's length. "And I'm happy to see you too, but I'm hungry."
"Okay, let's go feed the boss."
By the end of dinner, you were almost certain that Hajoon's cheeks hurt from smiling so much. And it seemed like there was never a silent moment, not even when you were eating. Despite being in contact every day, it was like there was always something new to mention. Ha-joon was special and you loved that she loved you.
Ha-joon was the only love you obtained, that wasn't from family, that stayed. You loved being loved by her and you loved loving her. She was home.
"You know, this is the longest time you've been single since I've known you. I know you're smiling and all in vacation mode still, but are you okay? You don't have to pretend for me you know?"
You took a second and sighed before responding with a smile. "I'm good, I promise. I kind of... like being by myself. I only need to worry about the business, my family, and myself," You shrugged and leaned forward into the table. "Everything else isn't important. Nothing else brings me joy. Relationships have only ever hurt me and I want to be alone for once. It's less stress."
"I'm so proud of you," Ha-joon stated gently and reached over the table to squish your cheeks in her soft hands. "Always."
"I know. Thank you."
You stared at yourself in the mirror as your hairstylist put the finishing touches on your hair.
The blue Prada pantsuit was almost suffocating as your nerves began to settle in.
Despite you preparing for this day all of your life, but especially this past year since you got back from Bora Bora, you couldn't help but feel jittery.
You went over your speech a million times, you practiced in front of your parents, in front of the company's board members, and the mirror. You were more than prepared for this press conference, but public speaking was never your forte.
You fixed the collar on your white blouse and let out a shaky breath.
"Y/N, you can always cancel the conference. We know it's the professional route to go, but if it's making you this nervous, it's not worth it," Your mom spoke from behind you, resting a hand on your shoulder.
"I know, but... I can do this," You nodded and gave her a soft smile through the mirror.
"We know you can, but we're saying you don't have to. You've been through a lot."
You smiled at your dad who stood beside your mom. "I know but I'm okay. I swear, you guys know I've never liked public speaking. But I'm ready."
They both nodded and took a step back from you. "We're going to go get the conference started. We're proud of you, Y/N."
You nodded once more and watched them walk out of the meeting room set up to be your dressing room just for today's event. This conference room was a couple of doors down from the auditorium where the conference would be held.
The Y/L/N Incorporated auditorium was rarely ever used. The first time was 20 years ago when the building was first bought, 10 years later after it was renovated, and now as you're getting ready to take over the company.
The door to the room never shut, making you look up from your black heels and see Namjoon standing in the doorway.
"Hey!" You greeted him and turned around.
Namjoon took your greeting as a sign to step further into the room and let the other six men in. "We came to watch the conference, seeing as we're partners," Namjoon explained, giving you a big smile, showing his dimples.
"And what are you guys doing in my makeshift dressing room?" You chuckled.
Hoseok looked over at your hairstylist before back at you, signaling they wanted privacy.
You turned to your hairstylist and let her know you were all set and watched her rush out, intimated by the bit of tense air in the room.
"We were worried about you," Taehyung admitted and moved to shut the door.
"Why?"
"Y/N, you disappeared for a whole year!" Jin exclaimed, allowing himself to be overdramatic. "We only knew you were alive because you'd send your weekly emails making sure everything was going well with the partnership."
"Well, I'm okay and I feel refreshed-"
"And then you were here for a whole year and refused to meet with us!" Jimin cut you off.
"I know, I know but I was trying to prepare for this day. I shadowed my parents all year and now I'm officially becoming CEO; I didn't need any distractions."
"And now we're distractions," Jimin continued dramatically. "Are you trying to hurt us?"
You and Hoseok playfully rolled your eyes at his theatrics.
"I needed the year away from the city and another year away from anyone that would stunt my growth, no offense," You expressed softly, trying to phrase what you were saying as nicely as possible.
Yoongi nodded, "we understand."
It was silent for a moment and you awkwardly stared at them as they did you. Their typical black suits were perfectly tailored to their bodies and their black dress shoes, were squeaky clean.
"We got something for you," Jungkook blurted out and gently hit Namjoon.
"Oh right," Namjoon nodded and pulled a black box from the inside of his jacket.
You walked across the room with a scrunched-up face, obviously confused at the black box he had. As you got closer, you could see how nervous they were, Namjoon's hands slightly shaking. "Hey, no need to be nervous," You told them, keeping your tone easy and tender. "It's just me, don't worry."
You took the box from Namjoon's shaky hands and slowly opened it, not prepared for what was inside.
"Oh," You mumbled, face full of shock.
"Oh?" Jungkook repeated, not sure how to respond to your response.
"You guys kept the ring."
"Well, you were supposed to keep it," Namjoon coughed and rubbed the back of his neck sheepishly.
Hoseok quickly picked up after him, "but you always said it was your good luck charm so we brought it for you. We put it on a chain so you could wear it around your neck."
"How thoughtful of you guys. Thank you, seriously!" You smiled and pulled Namjoon into a hug.
"You mean everything to us, we wanted you to have a piece of us," Namjoon said and wrapped his arms around you.
"We know it's tied to bad memories, but maybe we can find it in you to see the good in it. We had good memories too," Taehyung spoke up and gave you a small grin.
"Thank you," You nodded again and pulled away from Namjoon. "I'll wear it on my first official day. I don't want to risk any of the press recognizing it and then... you know. They focus on the ring and not what I have to say. I'm doing my best to avoid 'bad' publicity. Again, no offense."
"None taken, Y/N," Jin promised. "You've really matured during your time away. I'm proud of you." "I've been hearing that a lot lately. It means a lot.”
But the person you were two years ago would've appreciated it more. She needed it more than you did.
While it made you happy to make everyone proud, you didn't need everyone's approval anymore.
Meeting after meeting after meeting. Before you were CEO, your parents didn't take on meetings, splitting them between you and other employees.
But you wanted to be as hands-on as possible and you had a day set just for meetings, Hajoon by your side the whole time.
"You don't see all these people flirting with you?" Ha-joon asked you, cleaning up her notes and putting them all in a folder.
"Huh?”
You looked at the notes about the next meeting, relaxing a bit when you saw "Bangtan Enterprises" and slipped your heels off.
"You didn't see Do-yun staring at you with big heart eyes?"
"No, I was too focused on his horrible business plan. What was he thinking?" You scoffed and tossed your Apple Pen on the table next to your iPad. "The math wasn't mathing, there was no direction... it was just a mess."
"Hey, don't worry about it," Ha-joon shushed you and rubbed your bicep. "I'll draft up a rejection email, you'll look over it, approve it, and then I'll send it."
"No, don't reject him just yet. Allow him a second chance to get it together and we'll... set up another meeting I guess."
"You're so generous."
"Yeah yeah, give him three months," You softly demanded before standing up to stretch. "Next meeting should be coming in soon."
"I guess that's my cue to go."
Your mind drifted to the ring you let sit and collect dust for the past couple of months. It rested right next to your nightstand, one of the first things you see when you wake up and one of the last things you see before you fall asleep.
You always told yourself you'd put it in your jewelry box on your dresser but never got around to it. Or maybe you were purposely procrastinating. You didn't know but maybe you'd discuss it with your therapist next week.
"Hi Y/N."
The greeting had broken you out of your thoughts and you quickly snapped back into reality.
"Hi Jungkook, hi guys. How are you?" You quickly responded and sat upright in your seat. You cleared your throat and intertwined your fingers on the table.
Whatever nervousness you felt, you immediately pushed away. This was a business meeting, not a casual dinner; you need to be composed, professional, and on top of everything.
You don't know what you were expecting but you weren't expecting complete silence.
They stood stoically as you grazed over their faces with their eyes. They were serious but not business serious, they seemed to be controlled by their emotions. It was as if tables were turning and while you gained control over your emotions when it came to them, they were slowly losing their control.
The silence stood for a moment and it was awkward as the eight of you stared at each other, waiting for someone to speak. They were waiting on an explanation you didn't know you had to provide and you were waiting on them to tell you what was wrong.
"Are you dating someone?"
"Where's your ring?"
"Why are you ignoring us?"
Your eyes widened at the ambush of questions from Taehyung, Jimin, and Jungkook, respectively.
"Pardon?" You let out a shaky breath and moved your arms to cross over your chest.
"Are you dating someone?" Taehyung asked again, his voice was strong but he looked almost defeated.
"I don't really think my dating life is any of your business."
Yoongi's eyes narrowed at you and in retaliation, your eyes narrowed back. "Where's the ring?" He asked.
"My apartment."
"Why have you been ignoring us?" Jungkook asked again, lip wobbling, looking the most vulnerable out of the eight of you.
"I haven't been ignoring you, I’ve been busy. Can we talk business now?" You replied sharply, growing more and more frustrated and maybe angry.
"We just want what's best for you Y/N-"
"Oh and that's you?"
It wasn't the nicest thing you could've said but it wasn't the meanest either. You didn't understand why they had come into a business meeting questioning you as if you were someone that was supposed to be loyal to them. If ignoring their texts, calls, and even emails on your personal devices wasn't a hint, you didn't know what was.
Taking that ring back was not a sign that you were getting back together or owed them anything, but you don't know where they got off thinking that.
But deep down, you couldn't even pin down why you were ignoring them. The ring that they gave to you still held so much weight even if they did want it to now signify a new beginning. There would never be a fresh start; too much pain has been caused for you to be able to start fresh with them.
And despite how smart they were, you could see they still lacked emotional intelligence. You thought they understood things would never be the same again.
You've also made it more than clear to everyone that you were strictly focused on the business and yourself. You couldn't see where you ever gave them any indication of anything otherwise.
You took a deep breath and uncrossed your arms as you stood from the rolling chair at the end of the glass meeting table. You collected your things and even slipped on your heels.
"How about I have Ha-joon reschedule this meeting? And so that everyone is happy, you'll meet with her instead of me. Sound good? Okay, great."
You shuffled out of the room and toward your office.
As guilty as it made you, you walked by the people working on that floor without a greeting, a wave, or even a smile. You always said something to them, making sure they were okay and good to work, but all you could focus on was getting back to your office.
"Y/N-"
You quickly shut the door behind you, not letting Ha-joon finish whatever she was going to say.
"What did you all do?" You could hear her start to berate them.
Luckily your office was down the hall, away from anyone else that was working.
You sighed as you sat down in your chair behind your desk. You closed your eyes and rested your head on your desk, taking deep breaths as your therapist taught you.
You picture your toes in the white sand, the waves crashing against them as you watched the sunset. You remembered how at peace you were, excited to start new, proud of how much you've grown.
You remember wanting to stay in this moment forever and the reality you were in right now, made you miss Bora Bora more than you already did.
The certainty you felt mere months ago was gone, ever since you got that stupid ring back.
It's done nothing but keep you up at night and cause more confusion than you've ever felt in your entire life.
You heard the door open causing you to immediately groan.
Things were placed on your desk and there was a long silence. You've had more than enough silence for one day, especially since it wasn't a product of productivity.
"What do you all possibly want from me?" You asked as you sat up.
Your eyes searched their bodies but their eyes were focused on your desk. You looked down with a frown that only grew deeper when you recognized what you were looking at.
On your desk was the locket Jimin gave you, the Bangtan bracelet you made with Jungkook, and the polaroid picture of you and Yoongi.
"Why do you guys do this to me?"
Your lip began to quiver and your body grew due to embarrassment.
"Y/N, please don't cry-"
"Why do you do this when you know I'm trying to heal? Why do you want to hurt me?"
The hot tears began to trickle down your face as you stared at them, their faces guilt-ridden.
Good. They should feel guilty.
"It's-it's not like that at all," Jungkook spoke up, tripping over his own words. His big doe eyes began to mirror yours and you felt your heart break at his tears.
"We just need to know if there's ever a possibility that you'll give us another chance?" Jimin asked, looking down at his hands as he fidgeted with them.
"It's always been you, Y/N. It'll always be you," Namjoon confessed, making you roll your eyes. They were always too little too late.
"We're not even together and you're already making me cry. That's not a red flag to y'all?" Tears kept streaming down your face as you ranted. "No, there isn't a chance we'll get back together. I deserve better."
"We're sorry Y/N," Hoseok quietly confessed before making his way out of your office.
Namjoon followed after him with a sigh, Yoongi left silently, and Taehyung, Jimin, and Jungkook turned away hesitantly.
Jin stayed back and watched you slowly point to the souvenirs they left on your desk.
"Just take that stuff and leave."

——————————————————————————
Every jaw in the room dropped as the tv screen went blank. The lights in the house following suit as they cut out with an electric buzz in the air.
“Someone call Kitten now!” Yoongi yells in the darkness.
You had texted the group to say you were running late, but you were on your way to dinner. The others had worn their costumes, preparing the meal together when Taehyung had called them all into the living room.
“It’s a Halloween prank,” Namjoon tries to rationalise, but his breathing is heavy. “The news channels are obviously playing a prank.”
“It didn’t look like a prank Hyung,” Jimin runs his fingers through his hair, they’re all standing scared still. “And even if it was the news channel didn’t cut our power.”
“Fine then it’s a disease or a new virus, it is NOT zombies.”
“Sunshine!” You finally picked up Hobi’s call, the faint light from his phone lighting the side of his face. The room is so quiet they can all hear your screams. “Sunshine?”
“Hobi help!” The screams are followed by low groaning in the background of the call, the sounds of flesh being ripped through with decaying teeth.
“Kitten!” Yoongi yells, tripping over furniture to get to Hobi who had been petrified into a catatonic state.
And then, silence. There isn’t a single sound, and they all wait with baited breath. They feel the thud of all their hearts hitting the floor when a low moan comes through the line, your voice, there’s no mistaking it but it’s warped, inhuman.
“Bunny?” Jungkook whispers, his eyes watering as his heart picks up in pace.
The line cuts and they’re all left to the sound of their breathing.
“This isn’t happening,” Jimin almost tears his hair out by its roots. “CALL HER BACK!”
“We have to go get her,” Jin is shaking where he stands, his feet cemented to the ground but he knows he has to move. Whatever was going on he knew one thing, you were in danger.
“Everyone turn on your phones flash-“
BAAANNGG
Their souls jump out of their skins as a body slams into the living room window, their eyes going wide with horror as they take in the face in the dark. They can make out no discernible features but they can see the way his face presses against the glass. The silence that follows is deafening, not a breath, not a beat, until they see a tongue lick the surface of the window as if tasting them through it.
“What the actual fuck,” Yoongi breathes, terrified to speak a decibel louder.
The flood lights turn on outside, detecting movement although a little late but it reveals the body’s features and their eyes nearly fall out of their sockets. His entire body is decaying, his eyes set on them, unblinking, his clothes torn to reveal flesh and flies leaving no question what this creature was. But worse, behind him, what started out as a blur that drew closer, a hoard moving towards their home.
“We need to move,” Namjoon’s brain starts kicking into gear, survival mode fighting with instinct to shut down and freeze.
“And go where, we’re sitting ducks,” Jimin panics.
They all turn to the sound of another bang, closer, louder but they all knew what it was… the front door had been breached, they were in the house.
The low moan of their intruder echoes through the dark hallway.
“We need something to fight,” Jungkook whispers, his eyes darting around in the dark, their backs to the repeated thuds on the window from their other guests.
“Knives?” Jimin suggests.
“The kitchens too far,” Taehyung mumbles.
The lights of the hallway start flickering, the living room lights flickering just a second after, the pattern repeats making the men look around desperately for something to be armed with, but nothing usable is in sight.
“We can’t stand here, we have to run,” Jimin starts to hyperventilate.
“He’s right,” Yoongi agrees, tugging the still shell shocked Hoseok to snap out of it.
Jin’s whole body is vibrating with how hard he’s shaking, he knows whatever is in the house can sense them, the groans getting louder and the hoard behind the window getting more vocal with the frustration of a barrier between them and their next meal. He doesn’t hear what words are being said in the room, his hearts thumping in his ears, the blood draining out of him. He feels someone grab his hand, the maknae’s mouth moves in front of him but he can’t make out the words.
He’s being pulled into the hallway, the scene moving almost in slow motion as his brain fails to comprehend the scene but one thing wakes him up. They’re moving closer to the sound, they were running straight into danger.
It was too late, their bodies collided in the hallway, their attempts of escape stopped before they could even begin. A familiar figure stands before them, a silhouette they could make out even if they were blind.
“Baby-“
The lights flicker and the fills with their screams at the horror of their zombified girlfriend before them. They all scream except from one who covers his mouth and his laughter.

Your eyes flicked open, startled by the voice.
"The heck, why are you here?" the grumble within your tone radiated nothing but annoyance as the owner of the voice not only ruined the moment but also yelled at you, hoe?
"Because ma'am we are running late. Don't tell me,you planned to sleep off the whole day?" the same voice said calm yet angrily.
You looked at the clock as it showed 12:30 and then you shift your gaze to her with a tsk still lying on the couch eyes half open,"Yeah? So what? Its not like we are going any-" you face palmed jumping from the couch and sit up as realization hit you.
"Shit,I totally forgot,"you sheepishly smile & scratch your back.
"Now you are awake sweetie" Auri flashed you a thin smile. Silence before storm,"Now get ready in twenty minutes before I kick you to Antarctica!"
You look at her in annoyance as you drag your body to stand up. "Hey, sleepyhead!" a loud voice startled you as your eyes shifted to the other side of the couch,"Jae-ah? Why are you here?"
You felt a smack on your head as you yelped rubbing the aching area, "Thank her. She cleaned your dirty ass room which's been a representation of a trash bin,for I dunno, maybe the day you rented this apartment?" Auri decided to get on your nerves today.
"Sassing are we? You need to pay me for ruining my so realistic dream. Do you know how dreamy that dream was. I had my-" you started fangirling over your enchanting dream but got cut off,"I have no interest in listening to your perverted dream specially when we are running late. And dreams are supposed to be dreamy my love." she is really in a mood of sassing with you.
A blush crept on your cheeks as you realized what would happen next with him if you didn't get woken up.
"Kim Auri. For the love of God,it wasn't perver-" Auri threw a towel on your face as your voice got muffled before you could finish.
"Make sure to wash all your sins too sweetheart" she cooed.
"It wasn't a wet dream!"
sort of. but she doesn't need to know that.
You stomped your feet whining as Auri and Jae-ah chuckled seeing you pout like a baby. "You did moved a bit,you know-" Jae-ah shifted her gaze on you nervously fiddling her fingers awkwardly, "-oddly" she flashed you a eye smile.
You scoffed throwing the towel on your shoulder, taking steps towards the kitchen.
You didn't even utter the main evil's name yet the evil is right before you handing you a cup of coffee which was very much needed after all this mess as you entered the kitchen yawning, ruffling your messy hair, "The entry code was too easy to not barge in" she piped, mouthing a half hearted 'sorry'.
You rolled your eyes not even surprised as you sipped your coffee. Gosh Mirae made the best coffee. The sweet taste lit up your mood but the mixed of bitterness came after making you realize something, "Don't tell me, shin-"
"Hey sweethearts,I thought its better if a beautiful girl like me heads with you all?You might even get some free passes." you had no doubt who that screechy voice belongs to.
Mirae glanced at you with an uninterested face , "Speak of the devil." she pointed nonchalantly with her thumbs pointing to the door shrugging. You also tried to avoid the high pitched sounded woman roaming all over your house.
Its even worse than your house getting infested with rats, you swore.
"What a nightmare of a voice" Mirae scrunched her nose sipping her coffee. "Nightmare! How can I forget to tell you?" you excitedly yelled startling Mirae.
Thank God she was finished with her coffee,"What? You had one? What's so exciting though? Isn't it supposed to be scary?" she frowned.
You couldn't stop squealing at the thought of him. "No,I had a dream. You won't believe,I had my-"
"Ouch, let go,what the fuck?" you suddenly felt a sharp pain in your left ear as it got pulled by none other than the devil Auri Kim. "I told you to make it as quick as possible. But you're still not over your stupid dream talk." she scolded as her voice almost got your ears feel numb.
"My oh my, look at you Y/N,you haven't even properly brushed your hair, correction, you didn't brush your hair at all, you're not planning to go like this, are you? you scoffed at Shina, struggling to run from Auri as you glanced at Mirae with a 'help'.
Mirae chuckled coming between you & Auri, "Auri, let her go. she just woke up its been only five minutes!" Mirae glared at Auri playfully.
"No its been seven minutes!" Mirae rolled her eyes over Auri's strict time maintenance.
She turned to face you with a strict smile,"And you.I will never say no to your dreams and I'm eager to know what happened cause you seem a bit too excited than usual" she smirked as you smiled widely;you knew she would never say no to your anything.
"But now is really not the time.We have the whole day for this but we don't have even half an hour to get ready,so sis you needa hurry up." you pouted as she looked at you apologetically.
"fine.."
-
"I didn't walk all this way for shopping Shina."
"Oh c'mon,it's gonna take less than twenty minutes,I promise" she pleaded to Mirae who had her hands folded against her chest with raging anger. "Listen, the more we get late-" Jae-ah tried to calmly state but got cut off, "The less fun we can have!" Mirae yelled, finishing.
"I totally agree with her.It still will take ten minutes to reach that peculiar amusement park. And if we spend twenty minutes here it will take a total of thirty minutes. Oh my gosh and then it will take a solid ten minutes to get all our tickets cause of it's a holiday. And then each rides take approximately-" Auri was cut off as she felt a pat on her shoulder,
"It's okay, breath Auri-ah" you laughed as she finally exhaled. "Bro Seoulmusement ain't peculiar,it's beautiful and fun, mostly mysterious & mythical."Mirae scoffed as Auri rolled her eyes.
"Listen.Shopping is fun.Slow down there. We have a lot of time.It doesn't matter if we waste some, right? Look at all these discounts!" Shina squealed smiling fondly but coughed nervously as she got no response from her friends. So she had to go all 'sweet Shina mode'
Mirae felt two hands snaking from behind towards her shoulder, "They're selling the best brand of edgy cloths and accessories with them are free!" Shina cooed smirking; she knew what can temp Mi. You had to scoff at how Shina went for her next pray as if she is the predator here.
"You don't wanna lose the chance of buying the latest shoes in half prize do you? Also I heard they are giving branded purses here." She whispered as Auri gulped, eyes glowing.
"And," Shina clapped gaining Jae-ah's attention,"Jae-ah you wanted to buy some branded makeup items, right? This is the right place,I swear." and Jae-ah had to be the first to enter already, almost running.
"Er.. just twenty minutes k? What do you say Auri-ah?" Auri nodded slightly looking at Mirae as she couldn't leave Jae alone. She had plenty of edgy clothes so Shina didn't really temp her but she let it slide.
Shina looked at you, "Oh yn-ah you can-" you cut her off placing your palm between you & her, "Sorry but you can't tamp me" you smiled and looked at the other two, "Let's go,make it quick" they all laughed uncomfortably sensing your distaste as they entered.
As you were entering you saw something crash at the narrow area beside the huge mall, almost unnoticed. You decided to shrug it off as you were going to push open the door but another loud thump was heard. Loud enough for you but not for the busy people walking on the street.
You felt curious & concerned as your legs led you there, "Is anybody there?"
It only felt creepier as you stood in the middle of that small narrow path. It was so silent unlike the noisy street and it felt chillier here.
"Is anyone in trouble? Should I-" a large body collapsed with yours as you both fell on the ground behind several abandoned blue plastic drums.
"Ouch..hey-" it took some moments to get your senses back as you yelled at the huge human who apparently seems to think it's funny to play ninja games?
Ninja games yes; cause he was hiding behind the big drums, holding you tightly against his chest.
"Miss I'm sorry but don't talk please,I'm in a mission" you had to scoff at this 10 y/o brain.
"Mission? Mister I'm literally dying from a headache? You don't even know how to apo-" he pressed his palm on your mouth letting go of his hold as your eyes met with his for the first time.
"You're so talkative. I'm fighting with life and death here" he whispered lowly as he quickly averted his gaze.
Eyes concentrated on the street before him anxiously fear written on his face.
You could not think straight the moment your eyes met with his.
Mesmerizing beautiful eyes. Unrealistic yet so real. Any earthly word is not enough to describe it.
He had a plain black mask on so you could not quite make out his face. But his eyes gave it all. Those eyes. It had to be. You just knew it.
"Look." There's a hint of urgency in his deep baritone."I'm so sorry for dragging you here, although you chose to be a curious cat. But I really need to go. So, bye." He shook you breaking your trail of thoughts as you looked startled and almost red for the undying thoughts and his little logical accusation. Before you could properly utter a word, much less defend yourself,he was already out of sight.
What just happened?
-
You didn't lose your way back to the mall but you sure as hell nearly lost your mind and didn't even know what you were doing,"The hell why are you pulling the door? It says push it." You got startled looking at Mirae with a 'huh..uh' look.
"Oh my, don't tell me all this time you were pulling it?" Shina tried her heart and soul preventing herself from laughing but did she really.
"Oh gosh you look so pale!" Mirae panicked. "Yet feel so warm! How?Wait fever?" Auri gasped placing her palm on your forehead checking your temperature.
"Best shopping ever" a cheery Jae-ah exited the mall but her face fell looking at your horrible state,"Did something happen? You look like you got haunted by some ghost?" She cried.
"Hey,what's the matter? Did something happen? Where were you!?" Mirae shook you once again looking disturbed.
"A lot" you finally uttered looking at her with your widened eyes.
.
"So you're telling me,you were oh so lost into his eyes for you to recognize his actual face?" you swore to God you never saw Auri talking so loud and add sarcasm all these years; its much of something Mirae would do.
Whatever this that Auri was having fun with got on your nerves. She was enjoying it more than anyone expected. Making fun of you and all the things that happened today.
She glanced at everyone laughing so hard that tears glistened at the corner of her eyes as she glanced at you once again, "And you bumped into the same guy?Is this your Disney world? " She threw her head back laughing holding her belly tight.
"I said it might be him. And Auri Kim aren't you being too much? Hallucination & things like pre-recognization exists. They are scientifically proven; you believe or not nobody cares."you snapped not believing how she is taking her jokes so far. "Yeah for dreamy girls like you it might be. Like c'mon y/n-iie-"
"Enough Auri-ah,you are being too much. It can be true. There's always fifty percent chances of everything becoming true if a person strongly feels it. Its true or not I'm loving it! Its been decades y/n & i haven't talked like this. So don't dare to come between us. Since morning she is trying to tell me all this but everytime you are laughing it off! Like this isn't funny to me anymore. She is now a grown up & her words carries the same weight as ours. This jokes you're pulling are actually turning very much disrespectful. If you are not interested just sit there zipping your mouth shut until she is done with her story, alright?"
Mi finally huffed a long breath after finishing up realizing how maturely she handled the matter. You chuckled seeing her heart swell with proud.
Auri gulped already shutting her mouth. She realized she was overreacting. You weren't surprised nor mad honestly because you knew this is Auri Kim,your soulmate. Who else right?
"I'm so sorry. I really shouldn't have gone this far. We all have our own imaginations and thinking. I shouldn't have questioned yours. I'm so sorry I didn't mean it that way. I really am sorry y/n." Auri pouted looking at you and you sure as hell already melted for her cute face as Mirae was smiling proudly.
Auri apologizing is rare but genuine which both of you respected her for.
You chuckled,"Of course I wasn't mad in the first place!"
Auri let a sigh of relief placing her palm on her chest,"Thank God I can't see my soulmate being mad at me for even one second.I love you!"
Her sudden cuteness made all of you chuckle as you all shoved another spoonful of ice cream in your mouth. It has always been like this with her. No matter how mad you both get and no matter how many silent treatments you both end up giving each other in the end you both miss each other.
Today was so fun despite all the mystical weird things happening to you. Although you got the best friends in the universe who absolutely made you forget all these disturbing events during this whole time but the memories kept coming back. Yet you told your brain a 'not today' to not ruin these rare moments.
You sure as hell was a dreamer, not loving the reality that much but when reality included your best friends and fun you couldn't but put it first despite the fact that every little details of those moments made you think of it. When you guys went for the roller coaster ride Mi was so shocked how you didn't even flinch for once as you were so in your thoughts. You really did feel like any of your muscles didn't move an inch.
You knew these are nothing but overthinking yet you couldn't help but smile at those memories which is still so freshly present in your brain. You legit felt his touch when you were getting ready, you felt him smiling the whole way to Seoulmusement & you felt so lost for that bloody hell boy that bumped into you. It has to be him.
You couldn't stop thinking that to but again it can't be it's just the dream that controlled your brain for too long and you saw those eyes in the masked boy. You decided to take it that way to convince yourself and not look anymore crazy. But again you bumped into some other guys as well yeah the clumsy girl you are; but you didn't feel the same at all. You didn't even feel anything at all.
Mirae seemed to have the same theory as yours about this whole thing & she was very much excited about it when you & Mi walked the whole way to Seoulmusement leaving the others behind as they weren't interested; you could be so talkative when it came to telling everything that happens to you everyday. It's just how you love to share your thoughts about the little things that happens & takes you to another world of thoughts. Auri absolutely loved that side of you,so did Mirae. They loved how you look so cute letting your thoughts out to them.
You couldn't fix the puzzles of all these yet. This is so saddening how you can't remember any other thing of both guys or maybe the same guy other than the eyes. You sighed taking another spoonful of Ice cream as the cold feeling hit you & a loud voice pulled you out from your trail of thoughts,"Hey, Y/n what do you see in my eyes? Are you psychic? I'm so curious for real I swear! I mean how about we test you!? You must have some incredible powers? I mean who knows right." Shina laughed ignoring Mirae's whole speech she gave just a sec ago absolutely getting on your nerves as always.
"For once act like an adult will you?" Mirae snapped.
You could see that she didn't enjoy how everyone is treating you. You smiled at her, "It's okay mi I'm not bothered, you know these assholes were and will forever be like this."
Mirae laughed a historical laugh as the others pouted except Jae-ah who looked so deeply in her own world as she suddenly clapped her hands in the air,"You know what, this whole dream thing can actually be true? Like I had something similar to this! I saw a hand-"
"Shouldn't we already head for the maze?" Mirae announced standing up from her chair completely ignoring the copy cat sitting beside you as you had to scoff at Jae-ah too.
Everyone one around the table let out a groan throwing their heads back. "Oh please what's so fun in there? It's nothing but a never ending path with thousands of ways,I ain't going!Auri whined.
"Thousands? Miss there's just eight different paths! And that is what makes this game interesting!" Mirae argued excitedly.
"Game? what is so game like there? Huh!? It's just a way of getting lost in a park like a 2 years old kid. It is a headache finding the way back."Shina fought back.
"That is why it's called 'maze' okay? It needs brain. And guess what? You don't have one." Mirae sassed losing herself as she felt heartbroken pouting & turning at you & Jae-ah.
"Um..Mirae-ah I love how wild & free you are but this idea seems a bit well uh too wild, tiring and you know uh what I mean" Jae-ah sheepishly flashed Mi a smile.
You weren't very much fond of her idea as the last time you guys got out of that hell after sunset. Even the memories haunts you and you know all feels the same except Mi the wild & free girl of course.
But you didn't want to turn her down & make her upset after all she has ever done to you. So you felt determined to sacrifice, "Um yea-" and you couldn't thank the power high above more as you felt your phone vibrate in your purse.
You excused yourself pulling your phone out checking the caller ID. You jumped from your sit squealing like a five years old, "Oh my God!"
Auri grinned at your sudden cute squeals, "Who's it? S-?" Mi with sudden awakwardness roughly held Auri's  arms stopping her as Auri yelped.
Clearing her throat she asked chimming,"Who? Who?!" without thinking twice of her weird behavior you squealed further, "It's dad! I haven't heard from him for so long,I can't believe this."
"Bish pick up and stop flashing us those bunny smiles! I'm melting"Mi yelled pretending to get attacked putting her palms on her heart. You chuckled at her picking up the call excitedly,
"Hello dad,I missed you! It's been so long, how are you doing? How's your health!?-"
"Good God, y/n ah-"
"How's mom? Are you guys doing good in busan? It is so hot in busan right now? Isn't it? Does the Ac work alright?Mom isn't overworking, is she?"
"y/n ah calm dow-"
"Oh and how's Aiden? He is still that naughty kid, isn't he? I'm sure he gets in trouble time to time? It wasn't something too big,was it? Oh and dad? Dad? Hello?
you checked the connection and found it well secured.
"My daughter is still the spritful human being huh?"
he suddenly chuckled from the other line making you release a sigh of relief.
"You scared me!"
"Why? you thought I died huh? well that is very much possible though when someone hears you talk non stop"
"My voice ain't that scary!"
"Not at all. It's too beautiful to be scary. I wanted to hear it for so long. I still remember how your voice drifted me off to sleep every night . Those beautiful memories are so majestic yet so short."
"Hey dad,now I didn't tell you to flatter me & make me cry. I already miss you guys an awful lot! Will you tell me how are you all already?"
"Everything is just fine here my daughter, don't you worry at all.Your mother can't stop telling the neighbors how much of a genius and intelligent professional her daughter is."
"Not surprised at all."
"Aiden seems to respect you a lot. He wants...same path...d-d...id"
"Dad? Hello?" you checked out the connection as it showed weak network.
You were really eager to hear about Aiden and the weak connection was getting on your nerves. With a groan you slapped the screen.
.
"Please just this once. It's so fun! Why are y'all suddenly being such grumpy lazy aunties?" you looked at your friend trying to convince everyone around the table for you don't know how long.
But none of them seemed to  move a muscle at Mirae's plea. You checked for the connection pacing back and forth around the cafe but no sign, not even a little. Sighing you went back to your table, "Guys the connection here isn't stable. I'm gonna head out for a bit to get some network access. Go on." you sympathetically grinned at everyone but mostly Mi seeing her struggle. You mouthed an 'its okay' to her before leaving.
You went for the exit, walking fast and holding your phone close to your ear as you tried calling him again. As you were about to pull the gates a firm hand pushed it at the same time. You stared at the silver handle for a sec thinking how you were going to embarrass yourself by pulling it when it says 'push'.
You looked up at the person who just opened the door thinking it might be the security but rather it was a tall enough guy face completely hidden behind a mask and a cap.
You could faintly see his long eyelashes resting on his cheeks as he looked down at you. His black mask hid half of his face and his long cap hid another half. His brownish locks were slightly touching his eyelashes trying to hide them too. His clothes were casual although you had no intention of checking him out. He was wearing a plain black T-shirt under his half red & half black jacket. All oversized.  And maybe casual navy jeans.
Goodness he isn't mysophobic, is he? You were so stunned at how he protects his face. He can't be an Idol, is he? Whatever his reason is you had no mood to judge.
Connection access. You reminded yourself. Just as you were thinking to let him step out first you saw a hand gesturing you to step out first almost in a 'lady first' manner as his other hand held the handle preventing it from closing. You slightly looked up at him as you stepped out bowing your head , "thanks" and hurriedly tried to call your dad again. It was ringing as you let out a sigh of relief. It was the fourth ring but he wasn't picking up yet and you took that moment to admire the pinkish sky above you.
It was cloudless yet splashed with purple and orange hues in between. As if the pink sky let her friends make a miraculous portrait on her. It looked so peaceful around at this time.
Everybody went to the nearby cafes to take a break after a long bright fun day. Your eyes roamed around the area filled with lovely colorful flowers and large trees filled with leaves giving you spring vibes. And just as you turned your head the other side you saw the same guy scrolling his phone just beside you. He seemed to have the same problem of network as you saw him struggle placing his phone close to his ear and then again tapping on his phone aggressively. He looked so familiar yet unfamiliar now that you see him so closely.
Could he be- No. Y/n don't go insane again. You'll end up being a clown.
Your eyes couldn't stop but roam on his navy jeans and the first thing you noticed is the shinchan key ring hanging loosely with several keys on his belt chain. You squealed inside finding your shinchan mate yet chuckled outside seeing how gorgeous he was looking with it. The belt chain made him look ten times hotter yet the key ring made him look so adorable.
You averted your gaze before he caught you staring, smiling to yourself. See dad! I'm not the only one. As if your father read your mind from Busan to Seoul he picked up,
"So? Do you still watch shinchan?"
You were so surprised & shocked at the same time for asking you about the thing you were thinking just now teasingly.
"Yah! The first thing you ask is this? Can't you just ask why the call got cut!?"
"What is there to ask about? It can happen! Now answer me? Do you still watch your idol?"
"Of course I do. He is forever my inspiration. I learnt a lot about life for him."
You felt the guy turn & tilt his head slightly to you as you blushed. Please don't listen.
"Yeah whatever you say. My daughter is rebellious. Never will win."
"Now you know"
"A..y..wa...s, Ai...de..n said he...wants..to..y..o.."
Why does this bloody network have to act like this whenever dad talks about Aiden.
"Hello? Dad? Hold on.Let the connection get better" you walked faster stepping out from the small yard of the cafeteria going forward where your feet was taking you to.
 .
He had to remove his other ear phone too now to hear your voice clearly. It was better than the song he was mindlessly hearing. Your voice was something he craved for decades it seemed. It sounded excitingly beautiful and soothing.
He couldn't but stare at your every movements amused as you were excitingly talking to your father. He was feeling frustrated when he didn't get a better connection and chose to leave yet the girl beside him was the same one who he opened the door for smiling to himself at your cuteness. He decided to stay for some more time as his mind told him to admire you.
Stupid you don't even know her. You're just here to get the goddamn network access.
Yet he could not control himself from melting for you cute smiles, laughs, frowns, grins & chuckles. He found you every habits cute including the foot stomping. He loved the way you talked to your father so dearly as if you missed him for so long.
Earlier he was amazed seeing you admire every little details of the nature around. He could see it in her eyes how she didn't miss a single detail. The sky above sure looked mesmerizing but he was busy admiring the art before him. Still now he can't stop capturing her every details with his eyes and saving it in his heart. He couldn't understand why he felt so drowned neither he wanted to understand.
The frown on your face was back as the connection went weak again. Funny how his mind was urging to bring her the strongest connection of the world just to see your face light up again. Just as you were leaving, something dropped from your shorts pocket. Without thinking much he called for you, picking up, "Miss!? You dropped something! Hello?"
He called for you but the dreamy girl you are, he knew you won't hear him. As your only motto for now was 'getting the connection back'.
He stood up picking up the neatly folded handkerchief as his smirk grew wider behind his mask eyes slightly squinting tilting his head, "Is this why you were staring at my pants so dearly miss? So shinchan didn't go underrated after all huh?"
He smiled again running to find the beautiful owner of this plain white handkerchief with shinchan's famous smiling face printed on the corner of it.
.
You can win a marathon. You run when walking so what do you do she when you run. Probably drive yourself? He thought thinking how thoughtless he sounds. He is confident about which way you went but there was no trace of yours. He could see a silhoette coming from the right turn as he followed the path. Turning he saw you far from him still unable to reach her father.
"Miss!You dropped this!"
Finding it of use he ran again as he saw you enter some garden absent mindedly. Without thinking much he finally reached infront of it too about three minutes after you.
Needa workout again boy!
He breatheheavily holding his knees for a second and entered the garden too, totally forgetting his important call.
Wait but is it really a garden?

Jin
Tumblr media
Seokjin had a firm belief that he understood his wife, especially since the two of you have been married for ten years. The two of you had two beautiful children, and despite some of the hardships the family has had to face, to the ignorance of the children and to the struggle to both you and himself, the Kim family has only come out stronger.
And yet at the current moment, Seokjin couldn’t help but collapse into his seat, his hand slightly trembling as he stared at the piece of paper with its very obvious label that explained the content of the document. He glanced up and looked at you, your own figure sitting in the chair opposite him with your back straight and face composed, your eyes looking at him expectantly.
“Y/N...what is this?” He asked, lowering the paper as he looked at you, swallowing thickly as he tried to make sense of the situation.
“Isn’t it obvious? It’s divorce papers.” You said blankly, not even an eyebrow twitching as you answered him as if he had asked what the weather outside was.
You sounded so emotionless, looked so emotionless, and he didn’t understand why.
“I...I can see that but...but why?”
The two of you had been together since university, Seokjin proposing the same evening he opened his own company, and the two of you have been happy ever since. He could not understand why you were suddenly handing him divorce papers, it was completely out of the blue as he had no idea that you even had the thought in mind. You shrugged.
“I need a change.”
“...What?”
He was at a loss, he just stared at you while you continued with your emotionless mask, staring at him as if he was a blank spot on the wall which you had happened to be locked on. A change? What did you mean that you needed a change? He voiced the question, and you only answered him with a sigh, the first sign of any type of emotion or reaction regarding this news.
“I’m tired.” You confessed, gazing down at your wedding ring that at three identical diamonds beside each other. Seokjin furrowed his eyebrows at you.
“What do mean by tired?” He asked careful, unable to get a read on you, something which he never thought would ever be possible because he knew you the best out of everyone.
“Of this. Of this life, this house, this...story. I want to close this chapter, I want a change.“
“Y/N...” Seokjin started, staring at you while he felt his throat thicken second by second, his hands rubbing his knees as he continued to stare at you. “I don’t understand.”
You sighed, shaking your head before looking at him with an almost tired look, it startling him as you almost seemed to age a few years in a single instant.
“I don’t expect you to, nor do you have to.” You stood up from your seat, which prompted Seokjin to immediately follow suit as he shot up to his feet, his body awkwardly standing as he did not know if he should reach for you or not. You nodded towards the paper which had fluttered to the floor from Seokjin’s sudden standing. “Read through that and contact my lawyer if you want to make any changes. Let’s just make this as painless as possible please. Goodbye.”
You had turned to leave, and that prompted Seokjin to fumble towards you and grab you by the wrist, turning to back to look at him as he flashed you a helpless look, confusion and hurt swirling within his chest and reflecting on his face as he tightened his grip on you.
“Y/N, this has come out of nowhere, can we please just talk about this and-”
“There is nothing to talk about.” You snapped, your words like bullets and piercing him through the chest as you ripped your wrist out of his grip, flashing him an icy glare which startled him even more because it has never been directed so scathingly at him before. “I’ve made up my mind. Don’t bother trying to change it.”
Seokjin couldn’t answer, or rather, he was not given the chance to because you whirled around and stormed out of the room, leaving him with the broken pieces of his heart as he all but dropped to his knees, staring down at the ground almost as if he was praying for an answer for all of this madness would appear before him and tell him why you were acting like this.
The two of you knew each other like the back of your hands, you always seemingly knowing what is going through his mind and Seokjin always seemingly knowing what was going through your mind. But now for the first time ever, Seokjin had no idea what you were thinking. It was like he was staring at a blank wall, protected from any type of staring because of its concealment.
It was like he was talking to stranger, or rather, you were treating him like a stranger. And that is what was hurting him the most. He has apparently lost his wife without even knowing it.
Suga
Tumblr media
Yoongi had always been the lone-wolf type of man, preferring the company of himself than of others, but it was something you had learned to accept when you became involved with him. You knew what type of man he was when you married him, and he thought you had understood what was to come from a marriage with him.
He was a known workaholic, something which you figured out very early in the relationship, but it was something that you had taken into stride because his working habits is what paid for the big house that you and him lived in with your son. You were content to spend time at home to care for Jinyoung, inviting friends over to keep your company while Yoongi worked. He did join you and your friends at the odd occasion, but usually he remained in his office to finish up some work, only being prompted out to see your friends off with you.
It was not that he didn’t love you, because he did. You were his wife, and he provided you just like a husband should, but it seemed he grew very stagnant in his marriage with you, something he did not realize until his assistant had delivered some papers to his desk just before their shifted ended in the early hours of the evening. The manila folder was not labelled, so the only way he would find out about its contents was by opening it, and it was when he saw the title of the first document did he realize what they were.
Divorce papers.
For the first time ever, Yoongi left at the same time as everyone else. He had even pushed past his assistant when he hurried into the elevator, not bothering to even hold it open for his assistant as he was trying to figure out the quickest route back home. His hands were clutching at the folder, carrying it with him and tossing it into the passenger seat of his car before starting it up and speeding out of the parking out like a demon out from hell.
He probably broke about a dozen traffic laws on his way home but he didn’t care, the only thing that he had on his mind was his wife and his son. He hoped that the two of you were still home, if you weren’t...he didn’t know what he would do.
He didn’t even bother to switch off the car when he sped into his driveway, grabbing the folder and vaulting out of his car before rushing into his house, not expecting to find you seated at the dining room table with Jinyoung in his eating chair, busy being fed his dinner. You turned your head and looked almost surprised at Yoongi’s presence in the doorway.
“Oh, you’re home.” You said, your eyes falling to the folder in his hands. The surprise on your face smoothed out and was replaced with a neutral expression before you looked back at Yoongi. “Was there something you wanted to discuss.”
“Y/N, what the fuck.”
Yoongi couldn’t help it, the words just tumbled out of his mouth before he even realised what he was saying. You immediately shot him a glare and glanced at Jinyoung, hoping that the toddler would not have the urge to repeat what his father had just said. But thankfully, he continued to chew on the food you were feeding him, much to your relief. You looked back at Yoongi.
“If you are going to speak like that in front of your son, then you can walk back out the front door.”
“If I speak- Y/N, what the...why did this arrive at my office?” Yoongi demanded, holding the folder up to you. You raised an eyebrow at him.
“Have you not read it yet that you don’t know what it is?”
“Don’t get smart with me Y/N, I don’t have the time for-”
“Ah yes, time. Time is everything, for both me and you, and yet we seem to have different ideas of it altogether.” You laughed, it sounding the most empty he has ever heard as you shook your head and fed another spoonful to Jinyoung before looking at Yoongi. You nodded your head towards the kitchen. “Go pour yourself a drink. We can talk once Jinyoung has finished his dinner.”
“Y/N-”
“Go pour yourself a drink. You might need it.”
You turned back to face Jinyoung, flashing your son a smile before pretending that the spoon was an airplane and flew it into his mouth, making your son gurgle a laugh as he ate, ignoring Yoongi entirely as he stared at you in complete shock.
Even though he was not showing it, Yoongi was a floundering mess, and yet you seemed so...at ease with the whole situation. You were feeding Jinyoung like you usually did, going about your routine like usual, and yet you had dropped a massive bomb on Yoongi that you want a divorce. You weren’t even looking at him, treating him as if he was a piece of furniture in the room.
Just what the fuck has happened to you?
It didn’t seem that you were going to answer him any time soon, or rather, only once his son has finished his dinner. So deciding to follow your advice, he turned and headed towards the kitchen with the intent to drink some whiskey from the biggest glass that he owned. He definitely was going to need it.
J-Hope
Tumblr media
His friends and family had always told him that he was too kind for his own good, and at first he used to brush off their words like they meant nothing because they didn’t for a time as he never thought that someone could be too kind for their own good, but he has now realised just how true their words were. The were practically spitting a fact straight to his face because he was now suffering from his apparent excessive kindness to the others and in came in the form of you, his wife.
The two of you had a marriage that was equal and happy. The two of you had your own respective jobs, a company of his and your own, and the two of you were happy with one another. The two of you were even the parents of a beautiful daughter, Areum being the light of Hoseok’s life aside from you. He thought that nothing could come between the two of you or the family, as to the perspective of others, his family was picture perfect.
Only it wasn’t.
As a businessman himself, Hoseok understood the stress that came with it and the need of long-hours of work to ensure a smooth running company, so when you began to stay longer hours at your company, he did not think much of it. He ensured to make sure that there was a meal waiting for you at home, and that he was available to help you in any way that he could, despite being busy with his own company.
But as time went on, hours became longer and Hoseok found that you were spending time more at your company rather at home with him and Areum, but Hoseok tried not to think too much into it because you always apologized when you did eventually arrive home and tried to make up for it as best as you could, something which he accepted because sometimes it can’t be helped with how work surrounds successful business people like you and him.
But what can be helped is celebrating your daughters tenth birthday as a family, something which you had forgotten, which infuriated Hoseok because no matter how busy the two of you had gotten with your companies, Areum always came first no matter what.
So after consoling his crying daughter and celebrating with her as best as he could before eventually putting her to bed, Hoseok had hopped into his own car and drove to your company building, intent to give you a piece of his mind for forgetting Areum’s birthday dinner. The building was relatively empty and dark, but Hoseok still stormed his way in it and headed towards your office, rehearsing the speech he was going to give you in his head as he eventually reached your office level and marched through it until he was eventually ripping open the door to your office, your name already leaving his lips before he even realised the position that you were in.
Which was on the table.
Bent over.
Naked
With a equally naked man behind you.
...
It seemed that his giving of the benefit of the doubt had bitten him the ass, especially since he discovered the real reason why you were staying at your company for long, as well as the reason of why you didn’t come celebrate Areum’s birthday at home with him and Areum.
Hoseok couldn’t stomach seeing you for two weeks, deciding to take some time away from the company and home by staying with his parents, taking Areum with him because he didn’t even want to leave her in close proximity with you or your boy toy, if he happened to come to the house with Hoseok’s absence.
While his parents were happy to spend time with their granddaughter, he knew that they were worried about him. For the first week, he didn’t tell them anything. How could he? How could he exactly say that his wife was having an affair? That you were cheating on him, just how could he confess that to his parents that card for you like you were their own daughter?
He couldn’t, but eventually...he could not keep it to himself. So he told them, and to say that their reactions were to be expected is an understatement.
His mother was heartbroken, shocked that you would even do a thing since there nothing seemingly wrong with your marriage with Hoseok. Hoseok had been thinking for the past week on what he could have possibly done to push you into the arms of another man, but he simply could not think of anything. He was a good man, a good husband to you, and yet you sought for love and pleasure with someone else.
Why? The question just burnt itself into his brain and heart, and there was nothing he could do to ease the pain.
And then his father suggested for him to go talk to you. He could not hide out at their home forever, and Areum needed you, she need her mother, and he had no right to deprive her of you or you of her. So after another week, he decided to return home with Areum with hopes to talk with you, to try figure out the whole mess which has exploded in the family.
Only you were not home to greet them, instead a document was waiting on the kitchen bar with a a little sticky note attached to the first page of the document, your cursive handwriting easily recognizable to him.
I’m sorry.
And underneath it was the divorce papers with your signature already on them. And when he eventually searched through the house, he found all of your clothes gone from the wardrobe, along with all your other belongings in the bedroom and the bathroom, leaving behind only Hoseok’s belonging, as well as Areum’s while your daughter in question kept asking Hoseok where you were.
He didn’t know, and at that very moment, he didn’t care.
Because he just lost his wife at the same time his daughter had lost her mother.

No marriage was perfect and Namjoon understood that, especially since he was hardly a perfect man, nor were you a perfect woman. Like all couples, the two of you did fight, but both of you came back stronger, as expected since the two of you were in love with each other. Each time the two of you would fight, Namjoon held onto the belief that it made the two of you stronger, and it ringed true most of the time because the two of you would make a comeback and forgive each other graciously.
Namjoon liked to be perceived as perfect since he has worked hard to get to where he is today. The tales of his successes were quite well-known, as he was once nothing but a poor man who did have a single dime to his name, and yet he worked hard to try improve his life, and he did when he managed ti build his own company from the bottom up, firmly establishing himself in the business world and being the living proof that hard work can get you anywhere.
Namjoon has never forgotten the pathetic and helpless feelings that he had during the time he had no money and was practically homeless, so to say he became somewhat of a workaholic would be an understatement. While he was very successful, he didn’t ever want to go back to how things used to be for him, which is one of the core motivators for him to continue working, even though he had a family waiting at home for him.
Even though he was a very punctual person by nature, at times he would become so heavily focused on his work that he loses track of time, and that is what he did on the day when his son was graduating from high school. When Namjoon eventually saw the time, he cursed loudly before scurrying out of his office and driving home, the graduation ceremony being long finished. When he eventually arrived home, he was met with the sight of you and Jinyoung eating some ice-cream together, sharing a smile with each other before turning to look at Namjoon as he entered the room.
“Hello,” he said, inwardly wincing at how awkward he sounded, shrugging off his jacket while walking towards the two of you, his eyes on his son who looked at him with an empty stare. “Jinyoung, I am so sorry I wasn’t-”
“Forget it. It’s not like I expected you to be there.” Jinyoung hissed, uncaring on how disrespectful he was being to his father before she stood up from his seat and stormed away, leaving Namjoon and you behind in the dining room.
Namjoon felt his throat tighten. Even though Jinyoung knows better than to speak to him so disrespectfully, he could not be angry at him because it was well deserved. He had the right to be angry at Namjoon, and the fact he didn’t expect Namjoon to be at his graduation hurt him. He turned to look at you, guilt written all over his face.
“Y/N, I didn’t mean to-”
“But you did.” You cut him off, shooting him a scathing glare that could melt metal before you gathered up the half finished bowls of ice-cream and carried them to the kitchen, Namjoon quickly following after you.
“I am really sorry, I didn’t realize-”
“I am not the one you should be apologizing to Namjoon, Jinyoung is the one who was hurt the most out of this.”
“I know, I-”
“No you don’t know. He really wanted you to come, and yet you didn’t, and the worst thing is that he knew that you wouldn’t come even though you promised. You promised!”
You slammed the bowls into the sink, fortunately not breaking them but making such a ruckus that Namjoon flinched, your whole body tensed with anger as you spun on your heel so you could glare at him face-to-face. Namjoon sighed and rubbed at his temples, a headache coming on.
“I know and I’m sorry. I will make it up to him-”
“How can you make it up to him Namjoon? Can you turn back time and go to the once-in-a-lifetime high school graduation of our son? Are you going to organize with the high school to have a whole repeat of the event just so you can see it? Or do you think buying him the next expensive thing is going to make it up to him? Bribing your son seems to be the usual thing that you like to do, the same with me whenever you let me down!”
Namjoon scowled at your words, sending you with a glare of his own as he righted himself up, standing taller than you by a mile as he tried to assert and defend himself.
“I do not bribe my son or you. I am the sole provider of this family, so I-”
“Oh again with that bullshit!”
While Namjoon knew that you did have a bit of a temper on you, he did not expect himself to suddenly be ducking out of the way when you all but threw one of the bowls at him, screeching curses at him while the ceramics shattered against the kitchen wall and showered the floor in shards. Namjoon stared at you in shock.
“Y/N, just what do you think-”
“I am sick of you acting like you are better than me! That you are better than everyone else! In case you have forgotten, I gave up my job so that I could take care of our son, someone is supposed to be the number one priority both of our lives! Just because you are the only one working doesn’t mean you have a fucking backseat on being a parent! You should have been there for Jinyoung, but like fucking usual, you weren’t, all because of your fucking work.”
“Y/N, my company is-”
“-Always first. It is always fucking first and I am sick of it. Jinyoung and I are always second! I have put up with it for so long...just so that Jinyoung could have some kind of peace growing up, but after today, I just won’t pretend anymore!”
There was a shift in you, one which Namjoon did not like because it was as if he was talking to an angered stranger in his own home. The two of you have fought before, but never to this extent, and from the words you were saying, he actually began to grow scared of what you were implicating.
“What are you saying Y/N?” He couldn’t help but asked, trepidation clear in his voice as he stared at you. You responded with a heated glare before answering.
“Jinyoung and I are leaving, and I don’t care if you decide to toss all of your lawyers at us, I won’t allow our son or myself remain in a household that isn’t a family.”
“Y/N-”
“I want a fucking divorce. I don’t care if you don’t want it, I do and it is about damn time I do something for myself and for Jinyoung. We’re done.”
Jimin

He thought that he could fix things between the two of you, to get back to how things used to be before he messed everything up. While it is natural for people to make mistakes, some mistakes can truly mess up your life, and Jimin learnt that the hard way through the mistake who was blonde, young, and beautiful, and not his wife.
It was a drunken mistake, something that happened overseas on his trip and he needed to let off some steam, especially since he had gotten off a phone call from you which resulted in a fight because you were tired of his traveling and leaving you behind with the kids, five and four respectively. It is not like he didn’t feel guilty with leaving you behind with all of his traveling, but it was something that came with his job, and so he expected you to be more understanding of the situation, but you did not believe you had to adhere to those expectations, which frustrated him beyond belief.
So he went out drinking, and he happened to come across a woman who was obviously attracted to him, and in his drunken stupor, he decided to submit to his mutual attraction to the blonde stranger. But when he woke up the next morning in his hotel room with an arm wrapped around his waist, did he immediately realize his mistake. He messed up, badly, and the fact that you were at home with his son and daughter, faithfully waiting for his return, the guilt just built up even more.
He had to get home.
He kicked the girl out of his hotel room and immediately packed up his luggage before sending a message to his secretary to inform his overseas associates that he had to return home due to a family emergency. He could not remain in the foreign country and pretend that everything was alright, because it wasn’t, and he knew that he could not keep it from you. You did not deserve to be lied to.
When Jimin had arrived home, you were surprised at his sudden appearance, but it immediately turned into joy and you went to greet him, kissing him on the lips with a wide smile on your face as you pulled away. But you immediately noticed that something was wrong by Jimin’s expression, and when you had asked him what had happened, he told you the truth. The whole flight back home, he had been summing up the courage t tell you the truth, trying to prepare some sort of speech in his head to try explain why he did what he did. But no matter what excuses he came up with, none of them could defend him from his betrayal, so he did not bother to use them when he told you the truth.
You had left the house afterwards, not sparing him another look or word as you took your purse and car keys before leaving. Jimin didn’t bother trying to look for you, knowing that it will only do more damage than good in your and his relationship. So instead he tended to Jinyoung and Areum, his precious children who were ignorant to the happenings in the house, ignorant of the fact that their father had hurt their mother in the worst way possible.
When you eventually returned home, you did not utter a word to him until later that evening, after you kissed Jinyoung and Areum goodnight and joined Jimin in the bedroom where he was waiting for you. You had done our usual nightly routine before finally turning to look at him, a blank expression on your face which terrified him beyond belief.
“You broke my trust Jimin, badly, and I have half the mind to walk out of here with the kids and never see you again. But that wouldn’t be fair to them. I don’t forgive you for what you did, not by a long shot, and you can’t take back what you did, but we can try move forward. For the sake of this family, I will try forgive you, but it will take a lot of time before I can consider it.”
And he was not going to mess up his second chance that you were giving him.
For the next few months, Jimin was determined to win back your trust. He brought you flowers almost everyday, he took you and the children out for family outings and bonding, and he did everything that he could to make you happy. He wanted to remind you how happy you were with him, how being married to him was the best thing ever, because being married to you was the best thing that had ever happened to him.
It was almost like the two of you were dating again, with him trying his best to woo you into his arms with promises of a happy life with him, along with the idea gifts, flowers, and honey words that could make one’s heartstrings tug with their sincerity. Jimin thought that things were developing well between the two of you, as you seemed to slowly become comfortable with his presence again, things almost shifting back to how they used to be before the entire incident.
That was until he arrived home to see you sitting at the dining room table and a glass a wine, with a man dressed in a beige suit.
“Y/N...who is this?” Jimin asked, his eyes fixed on the man as he cautiously walked closer to the table, where the man stood up to greet him. He offered Jimin his hand.
“Mr Park, I am Mr Minho Choi, your wife had asked me to accompany her in this meeting.”
“Meeting? What do you mean meeting?” Jimin asked, ignoring the man’s hand to look at you but you were avoiding all eye contact with him.
You instead took a sip of your wine. Mr Choi cleared his throat, retracting his hand and instead turning to grab the paperwork on the table which Jimin only now noticed as Mr Choi shifted them together before turning to face Jimin again. He offered them to Jimin. “An unofficial meeting to discuss your oncoming divorce with your wife.”
Jimin’s blood froze, the air in his lungs trapped as he stared at Mr Choi in shock before slowly to turn back to you, you still not offering him a single look. Jimin glanced at the offered documents and could just make out the upside down words ‘Divorce Papers’ from his position.
“W-What?” He stammered, not fully believing that this was happening. The two of you were doing so well, he had been working so hard to make things work between the two of you again, he thought you were on your way of forgiving him.
“Mrs Park has employed me and my services to represent her in the divorce, while it appears that you have not been expecting this news and need to come to terms with it, I have drafted the conditions which Mrs Park believes she is entitled to. Please review them with your own lawyer before we continue with the proceedings.”
Was he that arrogant to believe that his mistake could be forgiven entirely by you?

A curse left Taehyung’s lips when he finally entered the world of the living again, his head pounding from the alcohol he consumed last night. Or morning. He didn’t really know what time of the day it was, not that it really mattered because he wasn’t ready to face reality it, or to accept it.
It seemed he didn’t even bother to make it to the bed to pass out in his drunken stupor, the floor seemed more than acceptable enough to house him and his body, although his neck and lower back said otherwise. He cursed again as he sat up, all the blood rushing to his head as he hunched over and clutched at his head, the headache only getting worse the longer he remained awake and sitting up. And then his stomach decided to flip.
Taehyung rushed to the bathroom, bumping into the wall twice before he finally reached the toilet and emptied his stomach contents into it, clutching onto the seat for dear life as he felt like death itself was hanging upon his head. He wallowed in misery at the toilet, groaning and cursing to himself as he continued to empty his stomach until there was a loud pounding at the door. Taehyung wiped his mouth with the back of his sleeve and glance in direction of the noise, coming from the front door of the hotel room he was crashing at.
“Taehyung you son of a bitch! Open up this instant!” Jimin’s voice called out to him, quite angrily if he might add, which hardly improved his mood as he rinsed his mouth out at the sink and then stumbled his way towards the door. When he opened it, he hardly was able to say a word when Jimin all but pushed himself past him and into the room, groaning and gagging at the sight and smell before turning to look at him. “You’re a fucking mess.”
“Well good morning to you too.” Taehyung grumbled, closing the door and then slumping against the wall, a wave of wooziness washing over him. Jimin scoffed and gave Taehyung a disbelieving look.
“Its 8 pm at night.” He said, making Taehyung raise his eyebrows in surprise.
“Oh...really?”
“Yes, and half of the fucking town is looking for you right now.” Jimin hissed, marching over until he was right in front of Taehyung and grabbed him roughly by the collar, his teeth bared angrily like a wild animal. “Do you have any idea how fucking worried we were?”
“Hmmm, not much. It’s like I’m dead or anything.” Taehyung said lamely,  not realizing that his words would cause his childhood best friend to shove him hard against the door, making him bang his head and making it even more painful than before.
“You could have been! For fuck sake’s Taehyung, no one has seen you in in a week! Not at work, not at home, not at anyone’s place! We were worried, even Y/N was worried!”
At the mention of your name, Taehyung scoffed. He pushed Jimin away and stormed past him, stumbling back into the main area of the hotel room until he saw a half-drunken bottle on the desk table. He stumbled over and grabbed it, taking a generous sip. The taste of the alcohol made his stomach curl but he ignored it as he swallowed the burning liquid.
“As if she was worried about me. She doesn’t care about me.” he hissed, making Jimin sigh in frustration.
“Listen, I know you and her have been having problems, but that does not mean that she does not care about-”
“Hah! Having problems is an understatement! She doesn’t give a shit about me! Not anymore!” Taehyung exclaimed, taking another generous sip of his drink before taking a seat on the desk table, clutching at the edge of it before looking at Jimin with a fixed look, one that was neutral and blank that Jimin could not get a read on him. Moments of silence passed between them, Jimin eying Taehyung carefully until he finally spoke again, albeit a little softer than last time. “She wants a divorce.”
...
“What?” Jimin questioned, his eyebrow furrowed together as he gazed at Taehyung in stunned surprise. Taehyung glanced down at the bottle he was holding, swirling its contents before speaking again.
“She told me last week. She wants a divorce. Apparently she can’t handle being married to someone like me with a family like mine.” He said, giving out an empty laugh before he brought the bottle to his lips again. Jimin stepped carefully towards his best friend.
“What did you say to her after that?” He asked carefully, making Taehyung drop his head slightly as he recalled the words which he had said after you told him your sudden decision.
“...You don’t want to know.”
Silence took over in the room, neither men saying anything after Taehyung’s confession. Taehyung continued to sip from the bottle while Jimin tried to collect his thoughts, eventually sighing before he eventually took the bottle out of Taehyung’s hand.
“Come on, you need to shower.”
“Jimin-”
“You reek of alcohol and before we do anything else, you need to shower. We can...do something else afterwards, but we are not staying in here any longer.”
Taehyung wanted to argue, to act perpetually and remain in the hotel room like he has for the past week, but somehow the energy to fight just faded away as he allowed himself to be pushed towards the bathroom by Jimin, slum oping his head in defeat as he closed the bathroom door behind him.
Jungkook
Tumblr media
He thought he had his life all planned out perfectly. He graduated top of his class, he got married to his beautiful girlfriend, and he was one of the youngest and most successful business men in the world, even making it in the article of ‘Most influential men under 30′ and he was proud of it. His life was perfect, just like he had planned and from an outside perspective, it seemed there was not a single flaw within himself, his wife, or his life in general.
But then he had to fuck it up.
Jungkook was aware that he attracted a lot of people, both male and female, but he always remained faithful to you, because you were his darling wife and his biggest support system. You were there for Jungkook through all the highs and lows in his career, and you accepted every single part of him, even his flaws which he tried hard to hide from others. So the possibility of him becoming involved with someone else was something which never, ever crossed his mind because there was no one who could even match you. You were perfect in his eyes and nobody could ever replace you or your spot in Jungkook’s heart.
But then it took another CEO with 7-inch heels and a lethal smirk to change his mind.
It was a mistake. He knew it was a mistake the second he allowed himself to be kissed by another woman, the two of them sitting closely together at his desk as they were discussing strategies for the collaboration his and her companies were working on. And yet he allowed it to happen, and even worse, he allowed it to go even further.
He didn’t know the exact reason why he continued with the affair, the guilt which he felt the entire time only becoming forgotten when he in between the legs of his mistress, pinning her wrists to the bed as he thrusted into her, covering her lips with his own to mask her moans and squeals each time he reentered her. But afterwards, his guilt always came slamming back into his body as he redressed himself and kissed her goodbye before returning home to you, under the guise that he was stuck in a meeting.
It went on for a while, and every time Jungkook considered telling you about his fair, he chickened out because he was terrified of the idea of you possibly leaving him for it. Though it would be well-deserved if you did leave him, because he has broken his wedding vows, to remain faithful to you and to always make you first priority in everything. But the longer his affair continued, the priorities in his life changed and you suddenly were no longer the number one in his life anymore.
And when you eventually learned the reason why you didn’t come first, Jungkook was there to relieve your anger and pain.
Jungkook arrived home late as usual, after spending the evening wining and dining with his lover, and he expected you to be asleep like you usually were, but instead the bedroom light was on and you were up reading a book, apparently waiting for him to return. You turned your head to face him as he walked into the bedroom.
“Welcome back.” You said, closing your book to give Jungkook your full attention. Jungkook flashed you a careful smile.
“Hey baby, why are you still up? It’s late.” You flashed him a smile, an empty one that did not reach your eyes like your smiles usually did when you were happy to see him.
“I know its late, which is why I was waiting for you to come home, so that we could talk.”
“Talk? Talk about what?” Jungkook asked, shrugging off his jacket and hanging it over the chair at your vanity table before going to unbutton his shirt. You flashed him another smile.
“About how long you planned to keep your affair going?”
Jungkook froze, his fingers hanging in the air with the top button of his shirt being undone. Ice replaced his blood and he looked at you with a shocked expression, your own face still fixed with a cool smile which was no help to Jungkook trying to calm his beating heart.
“My...what?” He asked pathetically, his heartbeat in his ears by now as he swallowed a thick stone in his throat, his breathing becoming uneasy as he continued to stare at you. You scoffed and rolled your eyes at him, shaking your head in disdain.
“Don’t act stupid Jungkook, did you really think I wouldn’t eventually figure it out? That you were seeing someone else and much preferred to spend your time with them than with me? Oh, but it isn’t just someone random, oh no, it just had to be with that bitch from the other company. I guess you can mix business and pleasure huh?”
You gave an empty laughing, shaking your head before you slipped out of bed, revealing to be wearing normal clothes instead of pajamas, heading over to the closet where you pulled out a roller bag, packed with clothes while you turned to fix him with an icy glare.
“Get out.” You hissed, pushing the bag in its wheels towards him, making him immediately stumble to catch it as it bumped into his legs. He continued to look at you with wide eyes.
“Y/N-”
“I don’t want to hear another word from you. The next time you talk to me, my lawyer will be present. I want a divorce.”
Divorce.
The word echoed in his head, and all of a sudden, his worst nightmare was coming true and he felt his eyes sting as tears formed and began to escape his eyes, his head shaking rapidly as he stumbled past the roller bag and towards you, reaching out to touch you.
“Y/N please, let me explain-”
“Don’t fucking touch me.” You hissed, dodging his attempts to grab you and moving across the room so that he couldn’t touch you, the intensity of your gaze only increasing the longer you looked at him. “There is nothing to explain. You slept with someone who wasn’t me, more than once, and I don’t want anything to do with you.”
“Baby, please...” He begged, stumbling towards you again, his body shaking while tears began to stream down his cheeks as he reached for you again, only this time you slapped his hands away with brute force, your teeth bared like a wild animal with its hackles raise.
“I’m not your baby anymore. Get out Jungkook, I’m sure you new baby will happily welcome you back into her arms, or her legs, your choice.”
But Jungkook didn’t want to go back to her, he just wanted to be with you. You were his wife, his number one, his everything. But it seemed he has been caught out and there was no chance of redemption. He fucked it up. He fucked everything up, and there was nothing he could do to fix it.

ARA, AGE 25, (PRESENT DAY)
A hand flopped around on the wooden table, finally locating the device making that infernal racket far too early in the morning.
“It’s too early for this,” Ara groaned, sliding the call button on her phone. “Yeoboseyo?”
“Princess? It’s Jimin. Sorry if I woke you…” Ara heard a sharp inhale as her husband realised the time. Still, he pressed on. “Um…you know how Park Wonshik adopted me after I was kidnapped?”
“Ye-ah,” she replied slowly, trying to figure out what was going on. Why was he sounding so awake after helping her break up the trafficking ring early this morning? He probably hadn’t slept yet, she realized. Hence, his too-early call.
“So, the police broke up this ring last night and saved a bunch of kids. They called me and asked if I’d mind talking to them, tell them that things are gonna be okay, y’know?”
Ara made some sort of agreeing noise, heading to the bathroom to gargle some mouthwash and maybe comb her hair and hope that putting her hair in order would simultaneously put her brain cells in order.
“So…one of my dad’s old friends was there and suggested maybe…we could foster one or two of the kids who are in need of a home until they get all the paperwork sorted out. A couple of the kids agreed to testify, so they’ll also need to stay close until the trials are over. What do you think? We have really good security, so they won’t need to worry about a repeat kidnapping, and I know we’ve got space and love. You mentioned wanting to help trafficking victims when I was telling you about my childhood…but…”
The longer her silence stretched out, the more Jimin rambled. He was so cute.
“Yeah, that sounds like a great, practical way to help,” Ara agreed after spitting her mouthwash out. “Just let me know how many you kids you drag back so I know how many rooms to get ready.”
“Thank you, jagiya.” Muffled conversation crackled through the line as Jimin paused to speak with an officer. “Sorry, I have to go. I’ll call later, alright?”
“Okay. Love you!”
“Love you!”
Ara put her phone down on the counter and stared at her reflection in the mirror.
~~~
At 2:33 PM, Jimin arrived home with an eleven-year-old girl in tow. The police officer and Child & Family Services officer quickly checked the premises and living situation, then left, leaving Jimin, Ara, and the girl.
Ara smiled, crouching down to her height. “Hi, I’m Shin Ara. It’s nice to meet you.”
“Hello, Mrs. Shin. My name is Kim Nabi,” Nabi bowed politely. “It is nice to meet you as well. Thank you for letting me live with you.”
Her shiny hair teased the tops of her shoulders as she moved.
“I’ll show you to your room, then,” said Ara, motioning at the stairs. “I know you saw it already during the tour, but you can get settled now. My room is right across the hall, so my bodyguard will be close by if you feel unsafe. Have you met Jungkook yet?”
Nabi shook her head, then gave a small smile full of delight as she really took in her room.
Ara and Jimin’s gazes met as they exchanged smiles at her satisfaction.
The walls were a pale periwinkle reflected in the pale blue duvet, the trim white to contrast the wood furniture.
“I hope you like it,” joked Ara. “There are a couple of outfits in the closet, but I thought maybe you’d like to go shopping for some things your own style while you’re here. Jungkook and I will take you whenever you’re ready.”
Ara pulled the stuffed rabbit from the top shelf of the closet and held it out to Nabi. “I thought you might like a friend to talk to while you decide if you want to talk to me or someone else about what happened. I’ve told quite a few secrets to Cookie here, and he’s kept them all remarkably well. He also gives a pretty nice hug,” she smiled conspiratorially.
“Thank you very much, Mrs Shin, Mr Park,” Nabi bowed again.
“You’re welcome, Nabi. I know things have been tough, but you’re a very brave girl,” said Jimin. “We want you to feel safe and at home here. I remember how I felt after I was brought here by my adoptive father. If you want to scream, cry, maybe hit a couple of things, go for a run– whatever you’re feeling, we’re here for you.”
“Thank you,” Nabi said again.
Jimin kissed Ara’s cheek goodbye and left to finish his assistance at the police station.
Ara looked at Nabi, laid a soft hand on her shoulder, and said, “I think you’d like to be alone right now to settle in, but if you want company, my room is across the hall, and the door’s open. If you need anything, just walk in or give me a shout, ‘kay?”
Nabi nodded, and Ara crossed the hall to call Jungkook and explain the situation.
~~~
Ara softly knocked on Nabi’s door for the third time. When there was still no response, she twisted the knob and peered in.
Nabi was sound asleep in her bed, hugging Cookie tightly to her chest.
“Nabi, it’s ten to seven. Jimin-ssi will be home any minute, and supper will be ready. I’m sure you’re pretty hungry by now. Jungkook wants to meet you, too, so can you wake up and get up by seven?” As Ara talked soothingly, Nabi stirred and gradually opened her eyes. Ara opened the door a little wider to let the hallway light shine in, as Nabi had drawn her blackout drapes.
“Hello, Ara-unnie. I’m up now.” Nabi yawned and stretched, then slid off the bed.
“Did you have a good nap? I hope you’ll sleep tonight!” Ara stepped just outside the doorway so she wouldn’t stifle Nabi, who yawned again.
“Yes, I slept well, thank you.”
The two headed to the top of the stairs, where Jungkook awaited.
“Nabi, this is my bodyguard and best friend, Jeon Jungkook. Jungkook, this young lady is Kim Nabi.”
“Pleasure to meet you, Miss Nabi,” Jungkook’s bunny smile shone through as he grinned at the girl.
“Thank you. It’s nice to meet you as well, Jungkook-oppa.”
Jungkook grinned even wider at Ara. “I’m her oppa already!”
Ara punched his shoulder gently. “Don’t let it go to your head; I told her she could call us that.”
The foyer door opened, signalling Jimin’s return home. He headed to the powder room to wash up, then joined the little group in the living room, brushing a kiss to Ara’s cheek on his way in.
Jungkook pretended to gag, wincing as Ara pinched his arm.
Nabi was quiet during dinner, her gaze bouncing between the three adults talking and laughing around her but not volunteering much. They drew her in when they could, but weren’t surprised that she didn’t immediately become a chatterbox. She’d been through a lot and was probably still deciding how much she could trust them.
Ara did manage to get her to commit to going clothes shopping the next day, but that was it.
A large yawn cracked Nabi’s face as Jimin asked Jungkook to see him in his office after supper, so Ara said goodnight to the men and followed Nabi upstairs, just in case she forgot where something was or needed help.

Two nights later, Jimin was back at Vixen’s HQ, meeting with the woman herself. He’d showed up unexpectedly, interrupting her spar with Hyunjin, so she wasn’t in full Vixen gear like all the previous times he’d met her.
She’d donned the mask, but her hair was free, a neat brown-black braid falling down her back, a few wisps curled to her sweaty face and neck.
“If you tell anyone you’ve seen more of me than my lieutenants, I’m sorry, but I’ll have to break our agreement,” she waved a finger at him.
“I won’t,” promised Jimin. More of her meant arms and feet, since she was only in a black tank top and workout leggings, her jacket having been tossed aside as she heated up.
Jimin noted interestedly that the gold eyes and red mouth was an indispensable part of Vixen’s persona, as they were still visible.
(As two of her most notable character marks, Ara made sure the lipstick and contacts were first in and last out when she switched between Ara and Vixen. He’d just proved her point—though he didn’t know it—that you should always be prepared for the unexpected; you never know when someone would drop in, either ally or foe.)
“So, you took care of the three men?” she asked.
Jimin nodded. “JK and I made sure they won’t be trafficking in the future…or committing any other crimes.”
She nodded approvingly. “Good.”
The tones of Vixen’s cell phone rang and she bent over, fishing the phone out of her pocket. Answering it, she turned around but didn’t move away; Jimin eavesdropped as best he could. “Vixen.”
There was a pause as her contact spoke.
“What? Stall him! Flag him down and tell him I have a visitor! Engage blade if necessary.” With an aggravated sigh, Vixen ended the call and pinched her nose, muttering something about stupid training, then turned with a smile that was clearly false.
“I’m going to need a minute, would you mind waiting in another room?”
Jimin complied, following her to a small room that reminded him of a cabin. She pointed to the twin bed and shut the door behind her. Jimin didn’t feel like a captive since there was a window large enough for him to crawl through, and there didn’t appear to be any bars or lasers to stop him from doing so if he wished. But he didn’t wish to; he was here for a reason, afterall.
Footsteps echoed in the hallway as someone came jogging up to Vixen. The tread was heavy, likely male, and the visitor greeted her in a male’s voice.
“Hey Vix, I found out where he keeps the goods- why are you frown- ouch! VIX-mmph!”
That male voice sounded awfully familiar. Jimin frowned.
“Shh! I’m gagging you because he’s. next. door!” hissed Vixen harshly. “If you’d checked outside before you snuck in, you'd have seen his car!”
Jimin strained his ears as the whispers softened and moved down the hallway. However, he’d managed to drop a bug on Vixen’s back as he followed her, so he pulled out his receiver and shamelessly eavesdropped.
“I came over the roofs tonight so I didn’t see. I’m sorry, VIx, that was careless; I should’ve known better. I’ll check 360 degrees next time, yakseokhae.”
That was definitely JK.
“Good. Yeesh, oppa, you almost gave everything away! I had Han ready to rush you with his knife to slow you down!”
Oppa?! Why was Vixen so close to JK?
“Sorry, Vixen. But I found out where he keeps the goods, and I’m getting mine tomorrow, so I need to make sure the others won’t be visible when it’s done.”
…the blacklight tattoos each member got when they were inducted into Bangtan? He’d thought JK was a reliable asset to Bangtan, so he’d invited him to get it. JK was obviously Vixen’s spy in Bangtan, but why?…most of JK’s time was spent on his bodyguarding duties with Ara.
Unless…Vixen was going to take out Ara to hit Bangtan and Grey? But both of them were allied with her, that didn’t make sense. And he knew JK would never hurt or let anyone or anything hurt Ara.
Clearly, more investigation was required.
“When are you going to tell him, anyways, Vix? Hasn’t it been long enough for you to trust him?”
Vixen sighed. “It’s a big secret–half my life. It takes time to open up.”
“I understand. I’ll be there when you’re ready. I’ll leave now…”
Jimin heard JK discover the bug when he hugged Vixen goodbye.
There was a pause, crackling as the bug was moved, then a dramatic inhale.
“Vix, what’s this?”
“That’s not one of ours…that’s Jimin’s. I thought I felt his fingers on my back, but I didn’t have time to check.” Vixen cursed, and then all that Jimin heard was static as JK crushed the bug under his boot.
The door swung open, JK standing protectively beside Vixen, who crossed her arms and stared at Jimin.
“Fine. You discovered it. Jungkook is my spy in Bangtan. He helped me start Stray Kids, and he’s an honorary member, since he’s technically affiliated with Gray. I’m not plotting anything against you. Happy?” “Why do you care about Bangtan’s tattoos?” Jimin stared back at her.
“Because Stray Kids have blacklight tattoos too, and I didn’t want to out JK’s and my relationship because you picked a spot close to his previous tattoo to add yours. It’s moot now, I guess.”
“Relationship?” He glanced between the two.
“We’re just friends,” they said in unison, then looked at each other. “What he/she said.”
Jimin sighed. Sure. Just friends. Whatever you say.
“Okay, prove it. Do you have a blacklight around?”
Hyunjin entered with the light and JK unbuttoned his shirt, slipping it off one shoulder. The Stray Kids symbol glowed blue at the joining of his neck and shoulder. Along his left arm were eight small bands of moon phases, as well.
Vixen held the blacklight to her shoulder, and the vivid blue symbol appeared on the front of her left shoulder, slightly larger and thicker than JK’s. “Happy?”
“Alright, I believe you.” Jimin took the light from her and waved it over his left collarbone, showing Bangtan’s symbol in glowing purple-blue. “You can choose where you put it, but somewhere that allows for easy access is a good choice for easy ID,” he told JK before turning to Vixen. “Bangtan’s tattoos are secret for a reason.”
She nodded companionably. “Same with Stray Kids, hence, blacklight. JK and I won’t say anything.”
JK nodded as Jimin looked at him. “ I won’t say a word, boss.”
“You’re affiliated with three families, JK. Which one are you most loyal to?”
JK swallowed, his big eyes a bit rounder than normal at Jimin’s subtly threatening tone.
“Yeah, JK, tell me who you’re loyal to,” Vixen buffed her nails against her shirt as she leaned against the doorway, the very picture of nonchalance.
“...I am equally loyal to them. My primary loyalty is to your wife.”
After several tense seconds, Jimin smiled approvingly and patted his shoulder. “Good.”
Vixen nodded at him for his diplomatic answer, then left to continue her spar with Hyunjin.
Jimin and Jungkook rejoined, watching the spar just as VIxen put Hyunjin in an armlock. He tapped out and Jungkook danced into the ring. “Still mad at me for my slip up, Vix?”
“No, we’re good. Foxtrot spar?” She added one of her many code words with him, requesting the use of martial arts plus blades.
Jungkook nodded, and the spar began.
Jimin leaned forward, closely following the pair’s movements. Their sheer grace and long practice of martial arts gave them the facade of a deadly dance, clearly used to practicing together.
Silver flashes gleamed as their knives slashed and parried, tucked away the next second for strikes and kicks.
Finally, JK saw an opening as Vixen slowed from fatigue, her previous spar with Hyunjin lowering her endurance. Caught in a chokehold, Vixen tapped out.
Bowing, the pair ended the spar. Jimin clapped, impressed. “You both fight very well.”
“Thank you,” they said in unison, leaning down to grab a water bottle, opening it, and chugging at the same time.
Jimin rolled his eyes. Totally “just friends”.

Two weeks later, two days before the beginning of the trials, Ara took Nabi to the mall to take her mind off the upcoming event. Nabi now had a varied wardrobe, but Ara was looking for formal dresses for them for a future party..
Nabi had settled in surprisingly quickly, becoming more talkative and outgoing as the days passed, though she was still a quiet child.
She had only been on the street a week since her mom died when she was kidnapped. No one knew who or where her dad was.
Ara had contacted a counsellor for Nabi to see when she was ready to talk about it, and she and Jimin had agreed they’d love to foster with intent to adopt. When Nabi was ready, they’d talk about it. So far, she seemed to love the house, and she often followed Jungkook around like a duckling when he wasn’t with Ara.
Jungkook casually browsed through the men’s section of the formalwear store while he kept an eye on other customers. Ara took Nabi to the womens’ changerooms to try on a couple dresses each. Stepping into the room beside Nabi’s, she froze at the reflection of the man in the mirror with the gun painted at her.
“Follow me quietly and you and the kid won’t get hurt,” he growled.
Tentatively, Ara turned around, hoping Nabi would stay in her changeroom.
Alas, that was not to be, as Nabi stepped out. “Unnie, my zipp-” she stared at the man and Ara calmly, though her eyes were wide with shock. Slowly, she crept behind Ara, keeping an eye on the man.
“Come quietly and you’ll both be fine,” threatened the man. They headed out the back way to the van idling by the door.
Getting in, Ara felt the dull throb of a needle prick as everything faded to black.
~~~
Jungkook headed to the fitting rooms anxiously. Twelve minutes had passed with no sign of either Nabi or Ara. Normally, Ara asked for his opinion on formal fits; while he supposed she may have decided to ask Jimin’s opinion instead, he was still a little worried.
As soon as he saw the silver and jade hairpin Ara had worn that day on the ground, the needle pointing to the back exit, he knew something was up. Pulling out his phone, he began making calls.
~~~
Slowly blinking her heavy lids, Ara tried to focus her thoughts and make sense of everything. As she gradually became more clear-headed, her memories returned.
Pretending to still be unconscious, she strained her senses to check her surroundings.
So far, she could tell that she was likely in a warehouse (how original) in the industrial area by the Han River, with the smell of water and the faint industrial noises surrounding her.
Nabi was in the chair behind her, back-to-back, either still out or merely pretending, like herself.
Ara couldn’t sense any hostile presence around–evidently, they were still supposed to be under the drug’s influence for a while longer.
Carefully, she pressed her watch button in and twisted it, sending an emergency GPS ping to both Chan and Jin.
Clearly, the kidnappers didn’t expect much of a chaebol heiress; since she was untouched, her eight knives, two GPSs, and five impromptu weapons were still on her. Well, at least they were respectful. This meant she was likely not going to be harmed, at least at first, and they didn’t know she was Vixen.
She could work with that.
“Nabi-ah, are you awake?” If she was, Ara would have to wait for her prince(s) in shining armour (unless the kidnappers tried something before then), but if Nabi was still out, Ara could fight her way out and then claim a rescue…
She felt Nabi’s hands brush hers, then– “I know you’re Vixen. Can you get us out of here before oppa comes?”
How- how did this child– Jimin still didn’t know!
“I’ll try.” She wiggled a knife free and passed it through their bonds to Nabi. “Go for blood if you’re in trouble. Now is not the time for guilt or gentleness. Use your teeth and elbows if you have to. Aim for fleshy parts like eyes, groin, or disabling their arms and hands.”
“Got it,” Nabi whispered back. “You’re so cool, unnie.”
Ara smiled inwardly, then began tugging the knot of the rope around her hands loose.
Once she had undone the ropes, she slyly slid one of her knives from her thigh free, using it to cut Nabi loose. “Sit tight unless you’re attacked, okay? On three, I’m going to get our captors’ attention. I already sent a distress signal, so Jimin and Jungkook will be here soon,” she added to reassure her foster daughter.
On three, she ripped the blindfold off and stood up, sliding the knives tucked into her heels out and kicking them off, choosing to fight barefoot.
A quick slash up the side seam of her skirt, and she was ready to fight.
The kidnappers had noticed that she was awake, and five men dressed in black ran into the room.
Good, no guns, yet. The illegal weapons left traces very difficult to clean up and explain away.
Silently she charged the row of three, using the first’s momentum to tumble the second and third like dominoes.
While they were still reeling, Ara began slicing at the fourth and fifth, incapacitating them by aiming for their thighs and shoulders.
One, Two, and Three regained their balance, and Ara hurled one of her blades into Two’s shoulder as she danced around Three, hitting pressure points to take him out.
On her way to One, she yanked the knife out of Two’s shoulder, jabbing it at his waist and thigh.
One appeared to be better trained than the others as he aimed for a pressure point on Ara’s neck. Unluckily for him, she grabbed his wrist, forced him to his knees, and kicked him in the groin.
Spinning back to Two, she hit his neck to temporarily paralyse him, watching him slump before repeating the motion on One.
Sighing, she brushed her hair out of her face, wishing she hadn’t dropped her hairpin at the store as a clue for Jungkook. He’d have found her soon enough through the CCTVs, and she could see better without her hair flying around if she’d kept it.
A second batch of five emerged from the hallway she assumed led to the boss’s control room, but this time the group was armed and better prepared.
Ara supposed the first group were the disposable, bottom-tier underlings who underestimated her.
Dropping into a crouch, she grinned ferally. Worked every time.
Two and Three charged her at the same time, so she simply crouched there, then uncoiled at the last second. Using Two’s knee as a springboard, she wrapped her legs around Three’s neck, sending Two sprawling and choking Three out.
On her way to meet One, Four, and Five, she gifted Two a knife to the thigh, dangerously close to the femoral artery. Oops.
Just before she hit One and Four, she dropped to her knees and slid by, taking their legs out. Rather badass a move of her, if she thought so herself.
Five grabbed her by the hair–rude, but smart— thankfully, it was long enough she could twist to face him and swipe at his knees, then grab his wrist and twist him around.
He released her hair, and she swiftly knocked him out, then headed back to the still-conscious Two, Four, and One.
A quick insurance stab to their dominant arms, and all ten opponents were incapacitated, if not unconscious.
Ara spun to the door, dropping into a defensive stance and re-gripping her blades tightly, only to relax in relief when IN and Felix showed up.
“Oh, good, you’re the first ones here. Nabi knows– I’ll figure out how later– but as of right now, Jimin doesn’t know, so you two took out those assailants, okay? I watched you rescue me when I woke up halfway through the fight,” Ara quickly aligned their cover stories.
Clearly, she should tell Jimin about her…nightly business ventures, but now would not be the time.
“Yes, ma’am,” Vixen’s bodyguards saluted, then began dragging the kidnappers into a row and tying them up.
Ara reclaimed her knife from Nabi and sat back in her chair, holding hands with the girl.
“Jimin-ssi should be here very soon and we can go home, okay? You were so brave; I’m proud of you. It’s okay now, so I understand if you’re a little scared or overwhelmed. Do you want to talk about it?”
Nabi shook her head. “I wasn’t scared; I knew you’d keep us safe, and Jimin-oppa and Jungkook-oppa would come for us.”
‘’How did you know I’m Vixen, Nabi-ah? And I gather you figured Jimin and Jungkook out too.”
Nabi grinned, turning in her chair to face Ara. “Jimin-oppa doesn’t wear a mask. I recognized him from the night when you all rescued us. That pink hair is kind of distinctive. I thought Jungkook-oppa worked for Vixen, but then I saw him with Jimin at the police station. I didn’t know till you woke me up for supper the first night; the way you talked to me and approached me was just like Vixen. And then I saw you with Jungkook-oppa and you were close to him like Vixen was.”
“Is that why you were watching us all so closely?” Ara had a revelation. “I just thought you didn’t trust us yet.”
Nabi nodded proudly. “I was trying to figure out who knew what about who.”
Ara smiled at Nabi and smoothed her hair down. “You are a very clever girl– you’re the first person to figure out that Shin Ara and Vixen are the same person. Everyone else who knows, I told. Have you figured out what everybody knows by now?”
“I think so…you and Jungkook-oppa know each other and Jimin-ssi, and he knows Jungkook-oppa but not you?”
Ara nodded, “Good job, Nabi-ah. Jimin’s family and mine are allies, and Jungkook works for both of them, Gray and Bangtan. He also works for my –Vixen’s– family, Stray Kids. Jimin-ssi and my appa both do not know about me being Vixen, but I think I should tell them now, don’t you?”
Nabi nodded. “Secrets should be kept few and far between.”
“Wise wor-”
Their talk was interrupted by a group of armed men bursting in, guns in hand.
Ara and Nabi blinked back at Jimin’s wide gaze. “You’re safe!”
He holstered his gun and anxiously looked them over. “Are you sure you’re okay?” He asked, pulling Ara into a hug, then Nabi. “What happened?”
“We’re fine, Jimin. Nabi is probably a bit more anxious than she lets on, but we’re fine,” Ara ran her hand down his chest soothingly, feeling the rapid thumping of his heartbeat.
Jimin pulled back to examine Ara's face. “Why is there blood on you?”
“Oh, it's not mine, it’s…theirs…” Ara waved at the neat row of captives guarded by Felix and IN. “They took those guys out and rescued Nabi and me. Jungkook called them, saying we were in trouble.”
Ara had to have some last fun as Vixen, before she unmasked. Unable to resist, she asked in a loud whisper, “Why are there so many of you and why did you have a gun?!”
Jungkook coughed loudly to cover his laughter at Ara’s acting. Felix and IN exchanged grins, turning their backs to ‘guard the prisoners’.
The rest of Jimin’s squad of six looked awkwardly around, invested in the drama and wondering how their boss was going to get out of this jam.
Panic flashed through Jimin’s eyes. “Uh…why don’t we get you home and have a doctor look at you, jagiya. You must have been so scared, Nabi-ah. Let’s go home, hm? I think Mrs Lee was stress-baking up a storm.”
Jungkook slipped out to start the car and told Jimin quietly, but loud enough for Ara to get the message, “I called Dr. Hyunjin– he’ll understand. I have Lady’s men ready to help; I called her guys after you and Jin-hyung.”
“Thanks, JK.” Jimin escorted his girls to the car, leaving Jungkook to drive home while he fussed over them in the backseat.
Tumblr media
Ara waited till Nabi showered and Hyunjin okayed her to do anything, much to her husband’s chagrin.
Nabi went straight to bed, and Hyunjin told Ara and Jimin that she was healthy, with no side effects from the drug used to knock them out, and was only stressed, though less so than he’d expected.
Ara was touched by Nabi’s faith in her and her guys.
Hyunjin said good night and all the attention was on Ara. She willingly took a shower, conceding to that after adamantly refusing Hyunjin’s checkup.
Finally, so Jimin would stop worrying, she agreed to give him five minutes to reassure himself that she was indeed feeling 100%.
Ara perched on the counter in her ensuite, her towel wrapped around her neatly and another on her head to keep her hair from dripping in her face.
Cupping Jimin’s face in her hands, she looked him in the eyes.
“I’m sorry for worrying you, yeobo.”
“It’s not your fault, jagi,” Jimin protested immediately.
“Not the kidnapping, no, but the worrying, yes. There’s something I need to tell you. Please don’t freak out, okay?”
Jimin nodded warily, his eyes full of questions.
Ara grimaced, then said. “I know you’re Park Jimin, Head of the Bangtan mafia.”
His face jerked out of her hands. “What? No, I’m not– where did you–”
“Sh, I know, Jimin.” She cupped his face again. “I know Appa is Shin Jungok, head of the Gray mafia. I know my oppas work for you and him as mafiosos. I know your friends aren’t just your friends, they’re also mafia. I know my friend Minho is mafia. The reason I know all this is because…I’m mafia. I’m Lady Vixen.”
Jimin pulled his face away again to stare at her, his jaw slack and his eyes wide.
“I know I was never supposed to know who you all are, but I have since I was twelve. I started planning Vixen then; Kookie helped me. When I was seventeen and Kook was my full-time bodyguard and we could sneak around, I became Vixen.”
“I…don’t believe you.”
Ara hopped off the counter and exited the bathroom, heading for her closet. She changed into jeans and a blouse, then slid her shoes on. “Follow me if you dare.”
Jimin took her hand, confused and curious, as Ara led him to Jungkook’s bike in the garage.
They hopped on, Ara revved, and they sped off, Ara making evasive manoeuvres and pulling over randomly to ensure no one would follow them.
Ara casually strolled up to Vixen’s HQ, D9, and entered her fingerprint, eight-digit code, and eye scan after a moment’s pause.
She headed straight to the back, to Vixen’s room, waving briskly at the sparring members of her mafia gathered in the main room, and pressed on a panel in the wall.
The panel popped out and Ara reached in, removed a small package, and slipped her contacts and fangs in. A small tube of lipstick sat on a shelf, and Ara carefully applied a coat. The mask went on, the jacket was zipped up, and her boots laced up.
Dumbfounded, Jimin watched as his wife did a slow twirl in front of him, a smug smirk on her face. The entire transformation took five minutes.
“You’re really Vixen.”
“Yup.”
Hyunjin popped in with the blacklight again and Ara confirmed her SKZ tattoo on her shoulder. “Thanks, Jinnie. Can you ask the others to come see me in a minute, please?”
In the minute they were left alone, Ara sat behind her desk and kicked out a chair for Jimin to sink into. “I’m sorry I didn’t let you know sooner–for worrying you without reason. I was actually the one who knocked out the guys; Innie and Lix got there after. That’s why I was bloody.”
Hyunjin reentered with IN and Felix, handing Jimin a bundle.
He unwrapped it to discover six knives and two stilettos, which caused him to turn to Ara in confusion.
She smirked. “I never go out unarmed. I also have a GPS in each watch and a few of my larger jewellery pieces. I could also have utilized the belt on my skirt and my necklace as weapons, if I so wish. Unfortunately, I had to leave my hairpin behind, but I often wear my hair up in pins because they double as an excellent weapon in a pinch…especially if they’re modified. All this is to say, I’m sorry for worrying you earlier, and I can take care of myself, so please don’t worry if something like this happens again.”
Jimin stared at her, taking in this whole other side of his wife he’d overlooked before. “Wow, you really are a vixen.”
She tossed him a wink, a proper one, as Seungmin, Minho, Chan, Changbin, and Jisung entered.
“Sup, Vix? Oh…”
“Yep, I told him. Thought he might like to know some of my most trusted men, so he can reassure himself about everything.”
Once her men gave a succinct explanation of their path to Stray Kids and left, the couple were left alone, silence blanketing Vixen’s office.
Jimin leaned back in his chair, exhaling slowly. “You’re really something, jagiya.”
The faint sound of people sparring elsewhere in the building filtered through the air while he collected his thoughts.
“I want to be angry that you hid all this from me, but I can’t really without being a hypocrite. Thank you for telling me now.”
Ara sighed in relief. “Thank you for accepting this part of me. Shall we agree to keep no more secrets?”
The two shook hands solemnly. “No more secrets.”
“Oh, by the way…Nabi figured you out the first night she stayed with us because you don’t wear a mask, and also because of your pink hair. She found me out because Vixen and Ara approached her the same way.”
Jimin sputtered and Ara giggled.
“We have a future menace to society and the underworld on our hands.”
Tumblr media
Park Jimin and Shin Ara exited the courthouse, their bodyguards shielding them and their new daughter from the paparazzi.
Once the trial was over and the traffickers harshly sentenced, Nabi relaxed more and was able to enjoy life.
She’d readily agreed to Jimin and Ara’s proposal and was delighted to become a Park.
Secretly, she was dying to know which Family she’d join when she grew up, but wisely didn’t say anything about it.
Now, the papers were signed, sealed, and filed, and Kim Nabi was officially Park Nabi.
In honour of the occasion, Bangtan and Stray Kids had collaborated again to open Black Swan, a restaurant that would be Nabi’s future, if she so desired.
Bangtan and Gray had also collaborated to open Blue and Grey, the last bar in the Blue string owned by Jungok.
He’d been thoroughly shocked to find out his little girl had known for a long time about his secondary business, and how she had twisted his most trusted men around her little pinky (Jin and Namjoon had been glared at for weeks after Ara spilled the beans), but he was proud of her ambition and success, even though he wished she had stayed on the legal side of things.
~~~
Jimin crawled into bed beside Ara and flipped off the light, turning to pull her to him.
“How is everything going? You’ve been pretty busy lately,” she murmured, cuddling into his body heat.
“It’s calming down now, thankfully. The worst part is seeing you less.”
“Flatterer,” she said, but Jimin heard the smile in her voice. “I miss you too, when you’re busy like this.”
He pressed a kiss to the top of her head, enjoying her angelic appearance as the moonlight fell across her face. They lay there, cuddling in silence for a while, until a thought struck Jimin. He’d been getting used to talking to Ara about his mafia issues, knowing that she’d understand him better now.
“Yoongi is looking for a wife.”
“Oh?” Sheets rustled as Ara pulled away a bit, turning to look at him.
“Yeah, for some reason he wants a wife who’s not in a gang. You know anyone?”
Ara made a noise of surprise. “Really? Hm…I might! You know how I’m allying with that gang, Seventeen, temporarily? I might find a way. I’ll look into it.”
A/N: Thank you all so much for reading my story! I hope you have a beautiful life<3
Some fun notes about the universe, if you're interested:
-> 22924514 = Vixen in Alpha-numeric code. It's Vixen's code for D9. D9 is a STAY easter egg.
-> Jimin and Jungkook were both part of the same trafficking/rescue situation. They weren’t together, though, and their memories are fuzzy and black out from that time. Eventually, they realise they have a connection and bond over it.
