Together we can really help one another and make an impact 🙏💫🌿🤎🌎 “Our hearts are with the Kichwa nation of Ecuador in these times” On January 28th, 2022, oil transport OCP’s pipeline burst in the eastern Napo province, causing an estimated 6,300 barrels of oil to leak, reaching protected areas of the Amazon rainforest and contaminating the Coca River. The Coca River is the main water supply to over 27,000 Kichwa living in the area. Nearly 2 hectares of the Calamba-Coca National Park, home to a wide variety of protected animals and important water reserves have been contaminated. Neither the government nor OCP Ecuador has acknowledged the gravity of this spill however the Environmental Protection Agency of Ecuadorhas describes it as a major event. The cacao I often work with is from @cacaolaboratory and from this cup of cacao I share with you, you are tasting the love from the sacred lands of Ecuador. Do you use Cacao? I’ve always used the organic powdered version or cacao nibs. I never knew you could buy it in actual chunks of cacao. Cacao is considered a superfood and is also associated with opening your heart. There’s no more body. You can WHATEVER. And my ankles need elevating. The takeaway of this episode is surrender. Surrender whether by choice or out of necessity. Surrender in this moment to seize the next. Acknowledge the skill and strength it takes to surrender, to ask for help, and to accept it. Time-bound, corporeal-based acts of surrendering heals physically, and translates on a conscious, as well as subconscious level, that you ARE. Instances of simply being is a step above surviving, and the state before living. Sometimes we need to be the bud before the bloom. And sometimes we need another to help us realize this.
