Coraleye: Well, I think the trick-or-treaters seem to be satisfied for the night. Think we should call it? Tycho arches an eyebrow, his gaze lingering on Coraleye. She playfully giggles as he reaches for her like a greedy child grabbing for their treats, pulling her onto the shoe bench with a yearning intensity. Candy spills from the bowl, unnoticed in the heat of their interaction. Tycho: Maybe a few more minutes can't hurt. Just to be sure.

Candy scattered everywhere, the sounds of their fervent kisses are hushed by the thriller playing from the living room TV on full volume, where Seymour and Kirsten's attention remains captured.

Tycho: [Reluctantly whispers] Baby, please... it'd be impossible to explain this if we got caught...

Coraleye: [Giggles] I guess you're right. Here, help me pick up this mess.

As Coraleye places the candy bowl back on the table, Tycho trails behind, grabbing her hand.

Tycho: I think you got me hooked...

Coraleye: [Laughs softly] Oops... Tycho: Still planning on sharing the rest of your Grandma Agnes encounter with Seymour? I'm sure he'd love to hear more, it'd be a great birthday gift. Coraleye: [frowns and hesitates] I... guess I should, huh? Considering it's likely his last —

Tycho: Shh... No. Don't say that. Come here. Coraleye silently throws her arms around him, and he gently rocks her, soothing away her fears. Tycho: Ready, darling?

After a beat, they gather their composure and head toward the living room. Kirsten, having just finished up in the restroom, looks at them with a knowing "I was your age once" grin.

Kirsten: Ah, there you two are. Done handing out your goodies? Grandpa's been so excited to hear more about your visit with Grandma Agnes! What did she tell you next, sweetheart?

Coraleye: Oh lots of things! On the way back, she gave me lots of life advice, family anecdotes, and we also talked about love... [discreetly looks back and winks at Tycho] But the real highlight was when she walked me through what I'd argue is the most important chapter of her life: the story of how you, Grandpa, came to be.

The Scarlet Witch had long been seen as a powerful being, able to rewrite reality and either control or destroy worlds. Her magic was chaos, a dark form and one of, if not the most powerful form of magic known. It was no wonder that she was worshipped, seen as a God by many who did so. This did not bode well when it came to those in charge in the great cities of Egypt, who only saw her as a threat to their throne, someone who could possibly overthrow them and turn their people against them. And so, they had set about a plan, one to curse her, to trap her before she became too powerful and rewrote their reality. They weakened her, locked her away in a tomb and cursed it, so that whoever should be so foolish to open it would themselves be cursed.

Many years had passed before her tomb was opened. While there had been a few devout worshippers, many had perished shortly after she had been trapped so that there would not be an uprising. Those that had survived had left Egypt, vowing that one day they would return to free her. In a way, their vows had come true, as it had been their descendants, along with some unsuspecting American travellers, that had broken open the tomb.

When Wanda had emerged, she had wished for revenge. While it was true that her magic enabled her to control and destroy, she had never wished for that as her future. And so, she wanted to get revenge on the men who had trapped her in fear of what she might do. At least, that was until she discovered that the world was far different from the one she had left. The pharaohs of old were no longer there, the buildings had changed and the cities were far busier than before. There was one thing she recognised however, or at least, a person.

"You... how are you still- I thought you would have been dead by now?"

mentioned here! tosahobi’s first draft had 7 ros and one poly route but i decided on only four so i could write a story i was proud of without stretching myself thin. tang bai, the “cocky” one is one of the three! they’ll still show up and hit on you, don’t worry LOL

i gotta say one of my fave things about language is when you add random syllables to words or add nonsense words that rhyme

like for example, our girl cat is called minou but sometimes i'll call her "minoutschi". and then instead of saying "minou, du" i'll say "minoutschi dutschi". and when i'm feeling extra silly or loving i'll add a nonsense word, so i'll sweep her off the ground and pet her and say "minoutschi dutschi wutschi"

or sometimes she'll meow outside in the hallway, then wander in my room and start purring loudly while rolling around the ground (she does that when she gets clingy and really wants affection). and so i'll start petting her and she'll be purring and i'll say "du schnurrli wurli" (schnurrli/schnurli is a very common cat name based on the word "schnurren" which means "to pur". which is why it's my affectionate nickname for her when she's purring lol)

#i'll also call our kitties ''meine katzi schatzi'' or ''meine schatzi katzi'' #they'll be sleeping somewhere and i'll give them little kisses on their little heads and say #''seids ihr meine katzi schatzi? ja meine schatzi katzi!'' #it's so silly and stupid and i love it #languages are fun #airenyah plappert #airenyah's zoo #that's my thing with the kitties. for the doggo (nika) i actually have a different thing which goes: #''bist du nika? bist du bebi! du bist bebi weil du nika bist'' #and sometime it's ''bist du nika‚ bist du bebi!'' #sometimes she'll look at me and i'll just go ''bist du nika?? :D'' #(''bebi'' is ''baby'' obvs but i HAD to spell it this way to really hit home that i am NOT pronouncing it like ''bay-bie'') #(that is extremely important for the silly factor) #no i'm not gonna translate all the german. this one's for my german speaking followers lol #i MAY make an exception if you ask me nicely and i like you tho #also i just realized i don't have anything for boy cat #i just always call him ''(da) kåda'' (dialect for ''(der) kater'') instead of his actual name #and sometimes i'll aspirate the k so much that it almost sounds more like a ch sound or how tyroleans might pronounce the k sound #(or actually kinda like how thais pronounce their ค or ข sometimes lol)

i mostly called them a "red flag" as a joke! they’re a persistent womanizer and a giant flirt. they also have a great deal of arrogance and pride in themself and their skills. (and they actually have the talent to back up their words so they piss a LOT of people off.)
