Warming Worms on a Russian Oven
*Spoiler ch 168*
I recall all those Russian fairytales where Ivan (it was always an Ivan...and always a Boka ‘stupid’ Ivan in translation in my native language) sleeping on the oven(oft translated as ‘stove’) as it snowed outside. In college, as we read Tolstoy, the image of a man sleeping on a stove had people pretty puzzled, like...how’d they fit on the stove top? asked one particularly bright Ivan (he was terrible). As a kid, I’m surprised I pictured a surprisingly accurate image sans illustrations of a bread-making type oven with a sort-of stone/cement counter on which they probably lay.
Now presenting Sugimoto the dumb immortal, Tanigaki the dumbest Matagi and Cikapasi the bokki finally safe...
...seeking shelter from the storm.
Don’t insult them, 2nd Lt Koito!
They’re not that insect-like! My precious warm worms...
