One of the other things that sucks for Sakura is that her super-strength thing is supposed to be rare, it's supposed to be impressive that she can do it...except every single fight scene suddenly gives everyone involved super strength so they can punt each other across football fields to make an entertaining fight. One of the very few things Sakura has as Her Thing is actually a prerequisite for being in a fight scene.

Summary:

Shikamaru’s never felt chakra so vibrant and warm before.

The log that Naruto’s been punching shatters clean apart, reduced to little more than splinters under the devastating force of his chakra enhanced blow.

Shocked and more than a bit startled, Shikamaru wheezes loudly, the sound carrying across the clearing and causing Naruto to abruptly turn and look in his direction.

And in that single moment Shikamaru is lost.

Either way Shikamaru's not actually all that upset about his entire life being thrown into an abrupt upheaval.

After all, convincing Naruto to marry him as soon as possible will be well worth the effort.

Naruto's pretty sure this is the closest they've ever actually been to one another outside of the few times they've been paired up to spar in class.

"What're you doing after this?" Shikamaru asks, one hand coming out of his pocket to reach out and play idly with the dangling sleeve of Naruto's kimono.

"After training?" Naruto keeps one eye on Shikamaru's hand...

"More like for the rest of your life," Shikamaru says. "But sure, we can start with training."

Naruto blinks.

.....[Naruto's] not really sure what, exactly, is happening here but he thinks this might mean Shikamaru wants to be his friend now.

Not an exact play by play of what was written in the fic, only the gist I guess and the moment that rly stuck in my head and got me giggling in my pillow.

My love for the "oblivious pure(?) mc and their darker, possessive s/o" trope has struck again. Couldn't've stopped myself from finishing this even when sleep-deprived, which I currently am right now. Had fun challenging myself with this too and might attempt it again with a future chapter or other works depending on my schedule. I'm occupied with studying this month so making something time extensive like this won't happen for awhile yet.

My Ideal Konoha Twelve Team Line-Ups

I got bored and decided to make a post about my ideal Konoha Twelve team line-ups that I think would do best for most to all the character, both students and teachers.

Team 7 Sensei: Kakashi Hatake Students: Sasuke, Hinata, Kiba

This one and Might Guy's teams were a bit on the difficult side because Kakashi and Sasuke have to go hand-in-hand due to Kakashi's Sharigan. But I managed. I think this team fits best because it has a similar dynamic to canon but different due to Hinata's shyness.

I think this dynamic works because two out of the three students will be learning their Clan's fighting style instead of really branching out to begin with. This gives Kakashi more opportunity to train Sasuke while the other two aren't neglected. Kakashi could help Hinata with her self-confidence since I think his easy-going yet hardened personality toward being a Shinobi could work similar to Kurenai's care for Hinata. Kakashi also has a contract with Ninja Dogs and those summons can help Kiba with his training to go with his Clan's training. Plus, Kakashi may be pressured to be a better teacher due to having two Clans hounding on him about their children's training.

In combat, the team is pretty well-rounded, two strong taijutsu users, and two well-rounded individuals that usually stick to using ninjutsu.

Team 8 Sensei: Kurenai Yuhi Students: Sakura, Neji, Choji

Again, I feel like this team has a similar dynamic to Team Seven that could work pretty well in the long run for each of the students. Kurenai is a teacher who likes to be involved in her students' lives and might be able to help them get over their respective issues mentally.

Similar to the last team, this one works well because two out of three members are going to be learning from their Clans, giving Kurenai more opportunity to help Sakura get out of her fangirl phase and become a proper kunoichi. She can also take advantage of Sakura's amazing chakra control to make her into an incredible genjutsu mistress like Kurenai herself. And when Sakura does study under Tsunade, she'll have two teammates that can help her develop her taijutsu skills to go with her super strength.

In combat, it's a pretty decent unit. The two genjutsu users can trap the enemy for the taijutsu users to close the distance and finish them off.

Team 9 Sensei: Might Guy Students: Rock Lee, Shino, Ino

This one was another team that gave me trouble because I had to make the teams while keeping in mind that Lee has to be on Guy's team. I think it came out pretty well and could work as a different type of the Ino-Shika-Cho formation.

Like the last two, this team will have two people that learn more from their Clans, giving Might Guy the chance to teach Lee while the other two aren't as neglected. He'll also be the type of person that will force Ino out of the fangirl mindset through his training methods. Shino is a character I think really works for any team due to his nature.

Like I said, in combat, this team could work similar to the Ino-Shika-Cho formation but with better tracking thanks to Shino. Guy and Lee can keep the enemy back while Shino can pin people down with his bugs so Ino can use her family Jutsu. Then Guy and Lee go for the finisher.

Team 10 Sensei: Asuma Sarutobi Students: Naruto, Shikamaru, Tenten

Funny enough, this is the first team I created. I like the team dynamic here because I think each student can learn a lot from Asuma and the atmosphere feels like it would be the friendliest of the four.

This team can really play on each other's strengths. Tenten will only benefit from being with Asuma because he can teach her Chakra Flow and possibly other techniques to enhance the danger of her weapons. Asuma had already taught Naruto before in canon and is one of the few in Konoha with a Wind Nature like him. Plus, I headcanon that Asuma is like an uncle to Naruto. Shikamaru will be learning from his family mostly but he has a good relationship with Asuma and his brains will help a lot with the team. Not to mention, if Naruto learns how to share his chakra early, it'll help his teammates' weaknesses from not having massive chakra reserves. This means Tenten can better user her weapons that require large amounts of chakra to use, like the Bashōsen, while Shikamaru will have more chakra to use his Shadow Possession jutsu constantly.

In combat, this is a pretty well-rounded team that focuses on close-range. Asuma is a strong close-range combatant with some ninjutsu options. Shikamaru is smart and can make up strategies while pinning the enemy. Naruto can also make creative plans and overwhelm the opponent with Shadow Clones to at least divert their attention for Shikamaru to trap them. Tenten would make good support with her weapons but a strong fighter close-range when she learns Chakra Flow.

Naruto re-read XXX

634) A little more than two years passed, not yet the three ones Akatsuki said it needed to “clear all of its assignments” (x). It’s unclear what those assignments were as they didn’t seem to start collecting Bijuus until after Naruto returns to Konoha.

635) The look on Naruto’s face when he sees Sakura after two-plus years (x). Her stance is somewhat strange, was she flirting or fishing for compliments? Perhaps both. By her last expression, she does seem glad to see him.

636) Considering the title of “sensei” was often disputed during their time as Team 7, this statement is awkward (x). It seems that Kakashi and Sakura haven’t trained nor seen each other much during the two years either (x).

637) “Attack as though you meant to kill or you’ll never stand a chance!" (x) versus closing his eyes so he wouldn’t be spoiled about his favorite novel (x). Was he truly taking this whole thing seriously or nah? He claimed to “make more serious of an effort” (x) but he completely disregarded the seriousness when he decided spoilers were more important than combat.

638) I’ve said it countless times before, Sakura isn’t using her “raw strength” but rather the Cherry’s blossom impact; it’s a diversification of her medical ninjutsu: rather than simply enhancing her strength with chakra (as Tsunade likely does), she gathers chakra in her fists and releases it upon impact. Kakashi states it himself, “to rapidly manipulate maximum chakra and instantly concentrate it into one’s fist (...) Sakura was always adept at genjutsu… but if this display of skill is any indication… she might just end up a greater kunoichi than even Lady Fifth!” (x).

He even acknowledged her “capacity” for genjutsu (which was regular at best for what we saw) and decided that the route she chose was far better suited for her as it gave her more room to become of the likes of Tsunade. So all this time that her fandom complained about Kishimoto not giving her Genjutsu skills? It was acknowledged and the decision was explained. Furthermore, why do you want her to have Genjutsu skills when no matter what she could do with them, it was no match for the Sharingan? Her stans can’t stop shouting about how she was robbed of genjutsu when Kishimoto gave her a technique that no other member of Team 7 was even trying to attempt to give her something to excel in.

Kakashi’s appreciation of Sakura’s skills is rudimentary at best, I’ve already shown how her genjutsu skills were basic at most: She fell for Kakashi’s genjutsu on the bell test, had to wait for Sasuke’s reassurance that an illusion was in place in the chünin exams, fell for Orochimaru’s genjutsu in FoD, and was fooled by a henge twice in the same chapter and once by non-other than Naruto who pretended to be Sasuke. She had four encounters with the genjutsu technique (and two with the henge, which while not a genjutsu still relies on deceiving the enemy), and three out of the four times she fell for it, and still, some of you held Kakashi’s words as “proof of her wasted potential” when he’s the same man who couldn’t care less if she dropped out of the exam. 639) Naruto’s “Kakashi is more adept at Sharingan than Sasuke…” (x) is hilarious because he’s comparing a 31-year-old man (who admits the Sharingan drains his stamina incredibly fast) with a twelve-year-old as that was the last time he saw him… Sakura admits she can’t keep up with Kakashi’s sign-weaving speed. She’s admitting to not having enough reflexes, this will come back with her fight against Sasori.

640) Kakashi states he “invented this amazing new jutsu…” I’ll wait for the resolution of this sentence but I’m guessing he’s speaking of the MS’s technique… which isn’t his (x).

641) Naruto invites Sakura out on a date… Sakura doesn’t reject the idea but the context implies she accepts because then it means Naruto has to pay for it (x).

642) Each village seems to have its version of the medical corps (x), they seem to also be able to erect a shield around the village. Sand also seems to have “puppet corps” (x) created by Sasori.

643) Deidara’s strategy is impeccable (x).

644) Inner Sakura is still alive it seems… (x). Also, why is Tsunade sending Team 7 (the jinchuuriki of the nine tails included) to Suna? Was she not informed about Akatsuki targeting jinchuurikis (she seems to be)? Was she not concerned about the possibility of its members attacking the vessel of Kurama? Why send just one team? (and later on, just two). If it was to save their numbers and avoid sacrificing members of their militia, why send their most powerful “tool” at their disposal? Why isn’t Jiraiya going with them? Makes no sense whatsoever. Just love the fact that Kishimoto didn’t know how to justify the whole decision so he just… didn’t. 

645) Deidara’s assignment was the one-tail (x), Sasori’s target is unknown, it’s inside a jinchuriki tho.

646) It takes three days for the poison to kill Kankuro (x) and it takes Team 7 + Temari two and a half days to reach Suna. Sakura, using medical ninjutsu, can extract most of the poison from Kankuro’s body (x), giving her more time to work. It’s established that Tsunade is a better expert at poisons than Chiyo (x), and she seems to have taught Sakura and Shizune different types of antidotes. There's no mention of Sakura coming up with a new type of antidote on her own, she seems to have combined three of them to save Kankuro. Edit: The translation in this last point seems to be off. She might have meant she could do three doses of the antidote with the ingredients avaiable, using one in Kankuro.

Shizune also uses Dokugiri and Shikomishindan, two forms of attack that have poison as their primary element.

647) Sakura knows about Naruto’s condition as a vessel, he wasn’t the one who told her, she secretly read Tsunade’s reports; that’s likely a crime. That way she learned about Naruto’s nature, Itachi’s existence, Sasuke’s target, and Orochimaru’s condition; nothing was confided in her, so she forced herself into the mixture (x). It was likely out of concern and to collect information to help Sasuke (x) but, strangely, such behavior goes unpunished, meanwhile, Naruto was persecuted when he sought the knowledge of the scroll during the first chapters of the manga.

648) Chiyo wasn’t interested in intervening with Gaara’s kidnapping until they told her Sasori was involved (x).

I have an old post about this were someone else went into detail and I added my own points.

Hinata is basically a perfect counter to Sakura cause Sakura's whole fighting style relies on chakra control which gets canceled out by the gentle fist that attacks the chakra network and the Byakugan makes reading Sakura's CES easy as well.

Add Hinata is overall better at taijutsu and the benefits Lion Fist gives enhancing the gentle fist, increasing its range on top of draining chakra on contact Hinata overwhelms in close combat let alone when the other side is reliant on chakra.

So both Sakura's super strength and healing get canceled out without that Sakura is only left with her taijutsu which without her CES is nothing special.

2.Yor‘s eyes grew pale, and she closed them slightly as fuuka continued to enjoy her morsel. “Mmm…I knew you wouldn’t let me down…just relax and let me handle everything my dear…Fuuka enhanced the drain, sucking harder as more of Yor’s life was taken away from her. The sudden increase made Yor lose all strength in her legs, making her wobble before falling. 

3.Fuuka caught Yor, holding her ass as she used her chakra vision, seeing that every last bit of chakra has been drained from her legs , with her arms close to being the same,her  strong limbs became totally useless. Her distal pathways turned pale and an increased shinning invaded her chest, her soul started to cut her connections with her pathways... it became loose and easy to extract. “I’m so glad I met you…not only are you a great source of energy…you will also be a great vessel…” Indeed, Yor is rare prey that couldnt be possible to achieve in her former world, this will certanly increase her power to a level she would have never imagined.

4.Fuuka brought Yor down to the ground, sucking on her for what felt like hours until all of Yor’s chakra pathways were depleted. With one last suck, a beautiful light started to pour from Yor’s mouth. Her very soul. Fuuka admired her beauty... she noticed tears pouring from Yor´s eyes. " I wonder what could have been your last thoughts... ha... i guess i will find out very soon, strong emotions always make this even better... doing a little reread and in chapter 22, Hayate notes that Jason would've earned some points from Konoha just based on his personality and protective drive.

now i'm imagining Jason ending up going to Konoha, for whatever reason. maybe a break from Gotham. even though he's aware of how fucked up Hayates home is, i feel like peacetime Konoha might be a little vacation for him (as long as it's brief)

obviously it'd be a logistical nightmare, bc if the wrong folks find out about this chakra-less foreigner then i'm sure that'd be a whole plot of its own. and even among allies he'd absolutely despise any attempt to study him (Tsunade, Jiraiya, and just about any med-ninja would go 👀👀👀 at this apparent walking, breathing corpse)

BUT, assuming it's just a brief trip for him, i think Hayate would love showing him around and taking him to training fields. Kei, maybe not super stoked, but if it makes Hayate happy she could possibly be persuaded to leave her envy at the door :3

i'm mostly enjoying the idea of Team Minato and Hayate sparring with Jason (with their metaphorical kid gloves on of course, their chakra enhanced hits would break so many bones)

how do you think Jason would react to this hypothetical scenario? reluctant enjoyment mixed with background horror of a military regime full of child soldiers? maybe a little envy for the absurd strength and abilities of even genin? lol this is gonna tickle my brain for a while

While Hayate is fond of him, bringing Jason to Konoha is generally one of those ideas that ought involve a fair amount of planning if it happens at all.

Starting with maybe actually formally ending the war with Kumogakure. Last Kei and Hayate knew, the villages were still in talks and also still taking potshots at each other. (see: Kumo's attempt to kidnap Hinata hasn't happened yet.) A stranger in the village would not necessarily be welcome in the middle of an atmosphere strained like that.

Just because Konoha never spawned the Joker also doesn't mean Jason would ever want to hang out on Child Soldier Planet. Finding the society morally abhorrent isn't gonna change just because Jason gets along with a couple of people from it.

They'd probably be safest bringing him to visit Mount Myoboku and meet the Toad Sages. Fewer preconceived notions on all sides, and no child soldiers or major security concerns. Just mind the cuisine options.

Mythology

In Hinduism, the continuous flow of energy throughout the chakras is referred to as “Shakti”. The concept of chakra was first mentioned in the ancient sacred Hindu text, The Vedas, but also plays an important role in Tibetan Buddhism.

Chakras are located along the spine and influence different nerve systems, organs and glands with their energy. These vortexes of energy are originated from Brahman, according to Hindu beliefs. It is presumed that as Shakti flows from one chakra point to another it exhausts the body and soul. The energy that becomes coiled in the base of the spine (root chakra) is called Kundalini. The spiritual goal is to awaken and release the Kundalini in order to attain a greater consciousness and merge it with the Infinite consciousness of Brahman. Through meditation and Kundalini yoga, the energy can pass back up the spine until it reaches the top of the head (crown chakra), producing a mystical experience.

located at the throat over the larynx.

Associated with blue.

Normal : self expression , authenticity

Overactive : disrespectful , eristic

Underactive : thyroid imbalance , sore throat

6. Ajna: The Third Eye Chakra

located at front of the head in between eye brows. Associated with indigo

Normal : Intuition , optimism

Overactive : hallucination , paranoia

Underactive : pessimism , ignorance

7. Sahasrara: The Crown Chakra

located at the top of the head.

Associated with purple, or gold

Normal : wisdom , spiritual growth

Overactive : confusion , narcissism

Underactive : lack of desire , oversleeping

Chinese on her Father’s side and Japanese on her Mother’s

Can eat a lot but doesn’t in fear of what other people would think

Her dream is to prove her self worth to her clan, as she grows her dream changes from simply wishing to prove herself to also wanting to free the branch members from their seals

She becomes the Hyuga advisor and right hand man to Clan Head, Hanabi

She’s retired from active duty to handle clan matters

Hyuga in general are one of the shortest in terms of height when it comes to Konoha. Hinata is the shortest

Her glasses classify as a help aid both normally and when she uses her sharingan. Taking them off while using her sharigan could permanently damage her eyes

A majority of her strength comes from enhanced chakra but in her free time she does strength workouts to build her muscles so she can use less chakra when fighting

Would rather her team see her as useful and someone to depend on than someone they need to protect
