I totally forgot that:

1- Changewings can hypnotize people.

2- Hiccup has actually (kind of) trained a changewing in the past.

How. Are. We. Not. Talking. About. This.

I know this doesn't have that much fic potential or anything (except if your a weirdo like me and love the potential of hypnosis in almost every sfw situation). Like??? Meet Ingrid and Bjørn!

Ingrid is a gatherer, often creating medicines and picking in the forests for those of Berk that need it. She doesn’t fly around with Bjørn mainly because she doesn’t like the idea of giving him a saddle; often thinking it’ll choke him or make him feel obligated to stay.

Bjørn is her noble changewing, often following her around, although is free to fly off whenever or wherever he wishes. She believes that he doesn’t necessarily “belong” to her; she mainly just enjoys his company.

The name Ingrid is of Norse origin, referring to the Norse God of fertility, prosperity, and peace.

Bjørn is also of Norse origin meaning bear or strong animal

Okay, but imagine this:

Since they've been encountered with changewings time and time again without this happening, the riders are completely oblivious to the fact that they can hypnotize them. Like, not one single time it has happened to them.

And then Viggo and the hunters decide to use the Changewing hypnosis to separate them from their dragons but ultimately the humans are the ones that are hypnotized.
