April 5, 2021: Run 140-144 is filmed. BTS join the variety show Game Caterers, New Journey to the West, to take part in a 4-episode series where they play a variety of games.

In the first game “attendance”, the members must point to one member while saying another’s name. Jin calls Yoongi by a nickname, using his last name “Min”. He tries to jokingly say the “Ji” in front was silent (implying he meant Jimin while looking at Yoongi). Tae playfully sings “I’m Min” as they discuss, and you can hear Jk doing a copy / paste rendition and singing along after. The camera doesn’t pan to Jk, staying on Tae, but the line “I’m Min” repeats and it’s Jk’s voice. timestamp 4:05

The final game of this first episode is the “figure quiz” in which members must quickly identify the celebrity’s picture. This is a ‘staple’ of the Game Caterers show and it can be a mix of Western and Korean individuals or just Korean [depending on the show]. The stakes are high, as they’re playing for food for their lunch. If they fail to guess the person, they must forfeit a food item (tofu, meat, etc). In their third round loss, Jungkook suggests they remove the ice cream, as it’s not good for one’s health. Tae playfully calls him out for this, asking why he eats so much ice cream if it’s not good for you. Jungkook is visibly nervous to be at the end—there were little foods left on the table and Jungkook was in an unenviable position of either being first or last. Tae attempts to comfort him and get him to relax by saying his posture is wrong, and to sit as he does when he’s watching TV. Again, this is a more subtle but telling moment, as it indicates Tae is aware of how Jungkook relaxes when he’s watching TV. An argument could be made that BTS are all aware of habits, as they’re all close and shared a living space, but we wanted to note this since people continuously say Taekook are not close. Little indicators, such as the ice cream and sitting habits, show Tae and Jk do spend time together, regardless if someone thinks it’s platonic or romantic. Na PD confirms Jk now looks relaxed.

Behind the scenes Run 140:

Some people had their reservations about and their closeness due to the fact that Tae flubbed RDJ and it is a well known fact that JK is enamoured by Iron Man (e.g. he has mentioned in earlier interviews how much he loves him & chose him as a celebrity crush once). However, in the behind RUN scenes you can clearly hear Tae’s voice in the background as he inquires if saying “Iron Man” would’ve been passable, confirming that Tae knows who this is. Additionally, Tae has shown before he is aware of who Iron Man is (e.g. handing JK an iron man figurine at a concert, plus JK has mentioned on multiple occasions in interviews with all of them how much he loves Iron Man).

Also keep in mind, this is a high pressure situation where multiple members had struggled to get people’s names correct, even world famous athletes, actors, or people that they’ve met or worked with. There is also food on the line (remember a funny moment that they gave up their album first to protect the food). What may seem like an easy answer to one may not necessarily be easy to another, especially in a pressure situation.

There is also the possibility that Tae was being playful, perhaps not knowing the actor’s name in such a quick moment, but teasing since he was uncertain if the superhero name would work (and he wanted to see the other members’ reactions). This is plausible since he does proceed to ask behind the scenes if RDJ’s Marvel superhero name would’ve been acceptable + playfully asked who could it be without stuttering or pausing to try to recall a name, which the other members did when truly trying to recall a name.

Jk is visibly nervous about starting the final round of “figure quiz”. He rocks anxiously while the members are comforting and, even though Yoongi and him are the only ones to not say an incorrect name, before the round begins he deflects it as luck. Prior to him being visibly nervous, he mentions his perfect streak is simply due to luck, which Tae quickly reassures will continue for the final round.

Episode 2 - continues as a YT exclusive. This is chaotic Bangtan at their finest, with a lot of hilarious moments and interactions between members. The maknae line, in particular, are quite determined to sabotage the older members’ tasked individual missions, though Jimin and Jungkook could be deemed the orniest of the three. All members try to sabotage Tae dancing to “Idol” but since this is a Taekook Timeline only the TK moments are noted.There isn’t much in significance as far as significant Taekook moments go, and we try to be mindful to only show moments of substance so the reader understands they’re close. But since episode 1 had some notable interactions that signified closeness, for consistency’s sake we will just note some quick, cute moments, though one may be considered to showcase closeness.

The maknae line sabotage Joon’s attempt to place 300 dominoes. Tae keeps his hand around Jk’s wrist as the maknae line teases a poor, helpless Joon from completing his task. Even when they all run, Tae keeps a hold of Jk.

Unfortunately subs don’t translate but Tae quietly says something to Jk twice. This may be considered a possible “noteworthy” moment as it doesn’t appear Tae whispers anything to any of the other members in their attempts to sabotage him, however, we also don’t know what he’s saying to determine importance to the game.

The first time it happens, Tae locks his hands around Jk’s wrists and they both subconsciously lean into one another’s space, with Tae whispering something to Jk the subs don’t translate.

At the end of the episode, the members discuss their assigned missions. Jk’s was to protect the Couque d’-asse (a thin cookie that is known for easily crumbling), which he succeeded in doing. Tae laments he should’ve pressed harder. Jk clarifies that was why he slouched, then smiles cheekily up at Tae, who then jokingly goes to smash the pocket he had held the cookie in prior to the reveal.

Episode 4-

The members are tasked with saving the dragon balls. Winning seven will allow a wish of theirs to be granted. Taegi team up for a mission. PD NA comments Tae is athletic and Jk chimes in that Tae is also very good at choreography (to which Joon agrees). timestamp 8:46

Yoongi must predict how many times Tae can successfully kick the Jegichagi. Tae wins a dragon ball for the group if he successfully kicks it three times. Yoongi asks Tae if he can trust him (to complete the mission). Tae says no but Jk interjects and reassures that he can be trusted. timestamp 9:50 (side note, Tae does win and succeeds in kicking three times, but Yoongi incorrectly guessed two and fails his part of the mission).

- you cry at over trivia: love at least once/month, as it is the one song that always lifts your spirits, you once had an awful day where absolutely nothing was right and you crawled into bed in hopes to just fall asleep already (at 6pm smh) just to forget how shitty life can be sometimes. you listened to music, hoping that this would help you fall asleep, but no avail, you were just laying there, trying to keep yourself from crying. you didn't even notice that namjoon slowly snuck into the bedroom, until you felt the weight shift in bed and him pulling you into his chest. he knew. you knew by the way he held you and caressed your hair. "y/n?" he whispered and lifted your face to look at him. your teary eyes couldn't avoid his, but you couldn't complain. He smiled at you warmly, hugged you again and then softly sang the chorus of trivia: love, reminding you of his love for you (and laughed/cooed when you finally started sobbing)

-he took the supporting thing to a questionable level when he tried to cook for you and almost burned the house down and you reminded him of that incident everytime you saw a fire extinguisher, it became a running gag between you two

- manliest man in every other occasion, babiest baby when he's drunk, one loud mf tho (you once took scissors away from him when he was shit-faced drunk and he got emotional bc "you love me that much huh y/n, you protect meeee~, love you so so so much, y/n~", and you have to remind yourself why you signed up for this)

- very soft for you, will try to initiate cuddling but gets shy very often, you're his reminder that being soft and gentle is indeed something good

-will get inspiration to write when you guys are together, whether you are cuddling, going out somewhere or even fighting

-you cussed the shit out of him once when you trusted him to hand in an important paper for you, as you had fly to another country for urgent business and .... he forgot. he literally has no reason, he simply forgot and this was the only time you actually cussed at him and it was, well... believe it or not he wrote his cypher pt.V verse based on that

-and a heart-wrenching ballad after that because you were so mad that you said you needed a break, said break lasted 2 days after maknae line was at your doorstep and asked you to take namjoon back bc "he literally didn't sleep ever since your fight and barely leaves his studio" (jimin) and you knew that over working himself like this was a very obvious sign that he's not in his right mind, so you gave him a call and you two met up and reconciled ("your hook in cypher seemed awfully familiar tho" - "....i wrote a ballad for you" - "cypher always wins, joon" --- 2 years later it turned out said ballad became spring day pt 2, it wouldn't leave the charts --- "y/n, even the charts won't let me forget the one time i screwed up" - "and neither will i" - "petty lil shit")

- your thighs have become rock-solid bc this man would take u biking every damn weekend, "why are you wheezing like that?" - "idk, joon, maybe because my lungs are failing" - "don't be so dramatic, y/n" (proceeds to laugh about your misery)

-but he'd make it worthwhile with a nice picnic during the day

-makes it even better with a candle-lit dinner at a cozy restaurant near his place, that had fantastic pasta aglio e olio ("joon, this is the best food i had in a while, but you may have to carry me home" - "same, I'm so full but it was so worth it" - "hell yea, but...I'm serious about the carrying part" - "??" - " I can't move my legs" - "oh my god" - "this is what happens when im forced to do sports")

- you spent many cozy nights with him where you just pampered yourselves and talked about all sorts of things

-he could listen to you for hours, no one fascinates him as much as you do and he's convinced that you're the most hilarious person he's ever met, although you can't quite understand why he thinks that, he never really explained it either

-you have discussions about all sorts of things, he loves it when you challenge his views, bc that keeps the fire alive ya know

-tbh he's quite possessive , ngl there.. he once saw you joking around with jungkook who smiled and stared at you with heart eyes (!his opinion!)

- namjoon was very disgruntled but didn't say anything bc jungoo is babie and so are you, but it was a whole other thing when jin drunkenly flirted with you one day but it wasn't anything harmful tbh, yet namjoon was FUMING

-jimin was so kind to drag his hyung away from you, since you were too polite and too awkward to tell bangtans oldest off, but you knew how chaotic jin could be, especially when drunk, so you didn't bother much tbh..... but namjoon did. the following day, when you went over to theirs, a very distressed jimin opened the door. you shot him a quizzical look to which he simply said: "yesterday's aftermath". jin stormed towards the door when he saw you, which startled you, but jin grabbed both your hands and profusely apologised for his behaviour the day before. you noticed namjoon glaring in the back, while you listened to jin, who was unaware of namjoon in the back. "so are we good? we have to be good or namjoon's gonna kill me". you started laughing and reassured him and all of you were ok again, jimin took a deep sigh in relief.

- very loyal to you, almost fought a staff member who bad-mouthed you when your relationship became known to bighit

- that was the time you knew namjoon would always have your back, and you knew that this man was worth every kind of hassle that could await you and your relationship (like a unintentional arson by a clumsy man who just wanted to cook)

there’s no way I would hold back my love for this masterpiece that starts light-hearted, funny, pervy, chaotic, and all over the place then quickly escalates to reducing us readers into a puddle of overflowing emotions, I was crying because I have been laughing from the start and then laughing crying turned to ugly crying and idk anymore like why? I was laughing moments ago and now i’m feeling emotions and things and the tears suddenly felt hot and heavy *i’m a mess*

this was wild, the husky voice that flowed freely out of MC’s mouth got me wheezing (girl are you undercover or something?), this is supreme crack, the way Jimin scolded her for having a laundry list of sins which she answered with the fact that her therapist blocked her on facebook ghadsjfgahsd which proves how talkative she is ~ probably chewing off her therapist’s ear and burning her fingertips because she needs to reply to all of her ramblings, and then the question that almost made Jimin’s soul left his body finally left her mouth “... is anal a sin, father?” I snorted so hard my nose feels like it’s on fire, srsly? who would ask a priest in such pristine and holy environment whether or not anal sex is a sin? also, I love how she shamelessly inquired about the fine print on anal, wow a woman without filter, I like her, I’ll offer my heart to her.

“You’re right. Where was I? Stopped going to church, did it in the butt—oh right! I want to kill I haven’t. But I want to kill my ex. He’s a really shitty guy—“ if this isn’t my life summarized, I once dated a guy who convinced me to stop going to church (I grew up in a catholic household so church was a big deal ~ he was catholic too and had served the altar during his youth, up to this day idk why he steered me away from the lord ~) and I agreed, then the butt thing let’s not discuss this because some things are better left unsaid ~ and on killing, yeah I thought I wanted to do that to my ex because he was shitty like super shitty but I don’t have the heart to do that.

this is where I lost it, Park Jimin, a tits guy who’s about to be ordained have been tempted by a girl with a penis of him in her precious locket, that is summarization at its finest, but crack aside the bond they have is something I want in life, no filter needed, they’re not ashamed of saying what they want to say, or doing what they want to do, they were perfect together like that, and then MC finally broke the news why she was there, why she drove for hours just to see him, I was saddened by the news until she started talking about how shitty her dad was, and then the conversation started shifting to one where an immersive reader will drown in emotions, MC had always been in love with Jimin, even if he wouldn’t reciprocate her feelings she stayed friends with him, she was the most relatable best friend who’s in love with the idiot or should I say emotionally constipated and in denial bff, I would be possessive too if i’m in love with my friend/bff! but will ultimately support their happiness (lol because I would be crying, why not me T_T), anyways, her straightforward and funny way of delivering her confession made my heart hurt Park Jimin was the source of her happiness and sorrows, he was everything she could ask for but could never have, he’s always near yet so far, he was perfect for her but he thought it was better to hurt her sooner than later, they were the type to crash and burn and if they burn and turn to ashes Jimin wouldn’t be able to take it, he loved her, he loves her.

“I was always frustrated because you ruined me. You made me think every man was like you but there’s only one Park Jimin. I would know, because … I spent a really long time looking for him.”

there’s only one Park Jimin, there’s only one home, the part where MC begged hurt ofc but she’s a big girl and even if it felt like somebody stabbed her heart she took it like a champ, Jimin wanted this, to be a Priest, besides his mother would be willing to help MC with her dad’s funeral, so he didn’t let her presence and his longing for her sway him and just like that when she finally left and never looked back he knew what to do, what he wanted to do and I respect his no break six hour drive, a lit joint, and a prayer for mercy... Jimin and MC will finally be together again and i’m pretty sure there’ll be a bit or maybe loads of crack once they see each other again (as if they haven’t seen each other for a millenia) but we’ll also be drowning in emotions so idk rip to my heart *lowkey wishes I have her locket so whenever i’m sad I could just peek and smile* | 🍒🍒🍒🍒🍒
