Born to read, watch and listen to my silly little books, films and playlists, forced to get stressed about an exam.

the ma’am, the myth, the legend
i watched the goldfinch on a plane and ooooooh boy was i sent reeling. but i did notice a few patterns between the film “the goldfinch” and the novel “the secret history” that i thought i should share.
gay. there’s always one gay person. bonus is that the protagonist’s sexuality is never clear-cut and is hit on by the queer person. francis and boris are so WILDLY different though, i think it’s so funny.
drugs and alcohol. an obscene amount of both. like holy shit don’t give a child that much xanny pls.
academia vibes. the secret history is more chaotic i believe (im talking about the funeral) whereas the goldfinch is more about artistic academia (since, y’know, hobie’s whole job is a form of art and the plot of the movie is about an art piece-)
everyone is pretending to be rich for some reason. or like, the protagonist is in the presence of rich people and just kinda mooches off of them. that’s not relevant, i just think it’s funny.
THE END. IS ALWAYS. FUCKING WILD. JAW WAS ON THE FLOOR.
(if i get another bot im going to lose my mind)

A random spark of inspiration led to a dark academia aesthetic gay couple, a pair of love sick fools who smoke too much.

One day you think: I want to die. And then you think, very quietly, actually I want a coffee. I want a nap. A sandwich. A book. And I want to die turns day by day into I want to go home, I want to walk in the woods, I want to see my friends, I want to sit in the sun. I want a cleaner room, I want a better job, I want to live somewhere else, I want to live.
