okay so when Adolin manages to win a duel four against two (sorry Renarin) it's impressive enough for him to request the murder of the man that betrayed him and his father but when I, Kaladin Stormblessed-

That same ocean rolls now; that same ocean destroyed the wrecked ships of last year. Yea, foolish mortals, Noah’s flood is not yet subsided; two thirds of the fair world it yet covers.
I'm catching up on Whale weekly (about a half year behind but I Can Do This) and having such a good time. Moby Dick really has some banger lines

The Heart Don't Lie Chapter 58
AO3
“I never thought I would ever be this happy.” She lays beside him, Emily asleep on her chest. Thomas sleeps in his daddy’s.
“Me either. I have been happy over the last twenty plus years, even joyful with the births of Rose and Willa. This though,” He places his hand in hers, “this goes beyond mere joy. It is perfection,” he beams, “I have been a husband, a father, a good worker. So many things to do many people. Uncle, daddy, brother, son,” a sigh at recalling those lost, “so many titles. With you here now, I am more fully myself. More…”
“Jamie. As I am more Claire. Each of us is made more ourselves with each other.”
“That is it!” Thomas stirs and he rubs his back, “Sorry wee man,” He settles back to sleep, “There was always a part of me that was held back with Anna. A part that has always belonged to you.”
“Yes. I tried to be a good wife to Frank. To be what he expected. I was always wearing masks. Now, there is no need for one. You know me. The good, bad, and all. You accept every part of me. I don’t have to hide anything.”
“I pray they find that type of love, authentically honest. A love where they can be open, without shame or fear, with their spouse.”
“They will because they will see it modeled.”
“Rose and Willa, I pray we didn’t mess them up to bad.”
She shakes her head. “They are amazingly strong young women. Smart. They will weed through the bad and keep the good. We will be an example to them too. Jenny and Ian are as well.”
“I am so thankful they have you.”
“I love them like my own,” she looks down at her sleeping daughter, “now that I have my own, I know what that means. They remain a miracle to me.”
“All three of you are to me.” She moves just a little, placing her head against his. He can then hold them all.
