Happy birthday pops Victor Big Vic I love you This is the first time I’m showing these photographs I made in 2010. They were the last rolls of Kodachro I’d shot AND they were the last photographs I took of my father. I was extremely fortunate that my father gave me the permission to photograph his battle with cancer. He somehow knew that the photography was helping me deal with and process his battle. He fought hard for about 4 months. We fought hard with him those months. after he learned of his diagnosis I moved back home to become his caretaker for his remaining months. From taking him to his doctors appointments, administering his medicine, doing the grocery shopping to the every other little thing that needed to be done, I fought like hell with him. His willingness to show his venerability taught me more than I knew at the time. He was not only my father, but my best friend.
