The regular Dingo has a symbol, that looks like a flame with a circle in the center and verticals shooting out above it, over its head that is the same shade of purple as the purple Dingo was, seemingly implying that the purple Dingo is a projection of the regular Dingo and that they are one. The regular Dingo looks happy with his tongue hanging out slightly and it’s eyes closed. The six surrounding Dingos look happy, excited, and generally lovingly at the regular Dingo. /.End ID]

This comic hits me hard in the best way. I’ve spent much of my life hiding myself in plain sight. I expended a lot of energy trying to people please. I was terrified of receiving hate from strangers. I felt like it was my responsibility, or place, to ensure that everybody had an “accurate” (to me) depiction of me in their head. I’ve recently learned that what other people think of me, or how they perceive me, is genuinely none of my business and is certainly not my responsibility to control. And I think it was kind of toxic for me to try to control other people’s idea of me. I know who I am. I know that my intentions are pure. I don’t need everybody to approve of me to know that I’m valid. I’ve learned to validate myself and now I really don’t need other’s validation. By validating myself, I set myself free.

This comic reminded me that even if people hate “me” they really hate their image of me in their mind. And it’s okay if they do hate that image of me because that’s not actually me. And even if they did hate me, that would be okay, too. I don’t need everybody to like me anyways.
