(Since I've got Oral History on the mind: Nettë's 'never speaking again' thing and mental block on song/Song and 'staring through people' are all the result of becoming nonverbal under stress, and one of her triggers is Singing. And sometimes just singing, especially if it's her but also other people, sometimes. But it's polite to be quiet when other people are singing, so that one just doesn't get noticed.)

(Once her parents come back they do figure out what's going on and start working through things, and by the end of the First Age other people aren't so much a problem and she's making progress herself. She's probably Singing again by a few centuries into the Second Age. But if, sometime in the future, she meets Maglor again — hears Maglor — she'll end up speechless and breathless (and very embarrassed about it), because that's functionally a whole additional unaddressed trigger.)

I've read some asks that talked to you about Amphibia, specifically Sasha, and I know you have some reservations about the show because of some controversial stuff the crew has done; however, if you ever want to explore about Sashanne as I've read that you're interested in the ship these are the episodes that focus on it: Reunion, Toadcatcher, The Third Temple, some in The Dinner, The Battle of the Bands, True Colors, Turning Point, Commander Anne, Sasha’s Angels.

Then about Sasha’s characterization, those episodes are pretty great: Prison Break, Reunion, Toadcatcher, The War Hammer, The Third Temple, The Beginning of the End, All In, The Hardest Thing, Olm Town Road, and the others above.

You can read the summary in the Amphibia fandom wiki as a replacement for watching the episodes but if you ever change your mind about watching the show, those are the eps that can give you a better understanding of Sasha’s character and Sashanne. Still, that's your choice.

Thanks for this great blog, by the way. The more people notice the important flaws of She-Ra, especially how Catradora was portrayed, the better.

Okay--originally my brain went "Chesed from Library of Ruina would adore you," but he's also super easy to say that about with anyone because he's so laidback and kind to others. He loves coffee and drinks it all the time, has a nautical theme for his Floor in the Library (he's the Patron Librarian of Social Sciences), and is very soft spoken. Actually, his Korean VA also vocied Espresso Cookie, if you know him asdfghjkl

But I also want to say Meursault? He's very quiet--only speaks when spoken to, and only really when he's asked questions. He's based on the character from Albert Camus's The Stranger, which is ... a time ... but he's very tall (like six foot), and your ship with Red made me think you guys would get along. He also has a lot of Identites, which are versions of himself from "Mirror Worlds" (basically, Limbus has canon AUs)!! Attaching a handful of screenshots of him because ... well. He's just a neat fellow, amd you should see him asdfghjkl
