a/n: you'll never guess who officiates their wedding lmao

word count: 1.8k (i could have gone on for like 10k honestly weddings are so fun to writ)

content warnings: ooc!coriolanus, coryo is nicer in my fics than the book/movie (more of the coriolanus at the start of the movie tbh), some hinting at bedroom festivites

You know,” you looked in the mirror at your maid of honor. “I always thought you and Coryo would be the two at the end of the aisle reciting vows.”

Clemensia choked on her mimosa, laughter bubbling over the glass. “The way he’s always looked at you? Absolutely no doubt in my mind you two would end up together.” She replied, setting the flute over and walking over to you.

You peered over at the pristine white gown hanging up, still just as beautiful as when you picked it out two months ago.

Coriolanus had proposed almost a year ago, wanting nothing more than to finally call you Mrs. Snow. “It would make me the happiest man in the Capitol, the country.”

You nodded furiously, watching as he slid the exquisite gold band adorned with a halo of small diamonds around a larger stone. It was a lavish ring, one you assumed he had ruminated over after securing a permanent position in the Citadel alongside Dr. Gaul.

A knock on the door broke up the conversation between the two women, Tigris popping her head into the makeshift bridal suite. “Just checking to see if you need anything before I go down to meet Grandma’am.”

“Tigris, this gown is to die for!” Clemensia praised the tailor, whose cheeks flushed like she had spent weeks in the sun.

“It’s just something I threw together.”

“Oh, don’t be modest, Tigris. It’s one of the most beautiful designs I’ve seen some out of your studio.” You smiled, pulling Tigris into the room more. “But I do have one thing you might have to help me with.”

“What might that be?”

You gestured to the gown, spinning to look at the two most important women in your life. “Can you ladies help me get into this dress? The corset looks like a game Coryo would make up in the Games.”

Clemensia laughed, and Tigris clapped enthusiastically, setting her purse on the pristine couch in the corner.

Coriolanus messed with the cuff links he had purchased for the day exclusively, looking at the small photograph of his mother he kept in his wallet. It was new for him, carrying a wallet around.

He had only a few things in there, his Citadel ID card, a few hundred dollars—pocket change for him nowadays—and the crumbled notebook paper he had written his vows on one day in the lab while Dr. Gaul met with President Ravenstill and Dean Highbottom.

They were messy, lines crossed out and words in the margins, and Coriolanus was fairly certain his sweaty palm had rubbed a few lines into illegible scribbles. He wouldn’t need them, though, he’s stared at this paper for weeks, the words engrained into his mind for the rest of his days.

He looked up when he heard a knock on his door, his best man stepping into the room.

“You just about ready?” Festus asked, looking around at the mostly bare room. “I think your grandmother is about ready to charge into the bridal suite and wed the two of you.”

If asked who he would think would be his best man at his wedding, Coriolanus Snow would never have said Festus Creed, but after the 10th Hunger Games and his short Peacekeeping stint, the two grew close, something akin to friendship.

“It was Grandma’am’s idea to have an evening ceremony.” Coriolanus muttered mostly to himself, but he tucked his wallet and vows back into his pocket, nodding at the curly-haired man.

“I am ready.”

Delicately rubbing your sweaty palm on your dress, you peered through the small opening between two columns, trying to get a peek at your soon-to-be husband.

“Oh, you’ll see him soon enough!” Lysistrata Vickers smiled at you, bringing you into a hug.

You, Clemensia, and Lysistrata had all grown closer after your mentorship in the Games, going so far as to become friends and spend weekend trips in Districts One and Two on occasion.

“I haven’t seen him all weekend, Lyssie! He wouldn’t even tell me what color his suit is. All I know is that it complements his eyes, and I got that from Tigris!”

Clemensia and Lysistrata shared a knowing look, having seen Coriolanus’ tuxedo as they wished him a good morning in passing.

“He looks exquisite, I hope that makeup is waterproof because I know you’ll be a puddle as soon as you see him!”

Your grin nearly split your face in two, preparing to seal your fate as a Snow.

Clemensia took your hand and gave it a squeeze, stepping up to walk down the aisle with you since neither of your parents were able to.

Lysistrata marched down the split of chairs first, grinning ear-to-ear as she met up with her own husband, Festus downright devouring her with his eyes.

You took a deep breath as you turned around the corner, eyes dancing from one side of the room to the other.

You and Coriolanus wanted to have a smaller audience in person, with a majority of the Capitol and Districts tuning into the wedding live on TV.

Dr. Gaul, who you and Coriolanus had asked to officiate the wedding, had a positively radiant smile on her face, a rarity for the woman. But how could she not, her two star pupils were getting married today.

You finally locked eyes with your fiancé, you Coriolanus, your Coryo. Most would take the look on his face for a smirk, but you knew the man you were about to marry, you knew he was holding back a million-watt smile.

Before you knew it, you were at the end of the aisle, Clemensia squeezing your hand and taking the bouquet of red and white roses, giving you the chance to smooth the skirt of your gown.

“Hi.” You whispered, cheeks beginning to ache from your smile.

Coriolanus chuckled softly, taking both of your hands in his own, giving them a squeeze. “Hi, gorgeous.”

Dr. Gaul, who was perhaps the only one close enough to hear the small greetings, looked at you both to make sure it was okay for her to begin.

“Today, we are here to celebrate the union of two of Panem’s most important people, two people who I have gotten to know throughout their time at the Academy, University, and mentorship.”

The ceremony was shorter than some other weddings you had been to, with you and Coriolanus wanting to share vows in private, not wanting the nation to listen in, wanting to keep some things between the two of you.

Before you knew it, Dr. Gaul was announcing you two as the Snows, the crowd erupting into cheers as you and Coriolanus shared your first kiss as a married couple.

With the ceremony over, you and Coriolanus had a short period of time before the reception, taking place in one of the grandest ballrooms in the Capitol. There would be more people at the reception than there were at the ceremony, with Coriolanus getting ready to run for election in the coming months, so you knew you had to be on your best behavior and help pull the votes in for your husband.

“What’re you thinking about, wife?” Coriolanus asked, lovesick smile on his face as he referred to you as his wife for the first time.

“Hmm?” You asked, shaking your head like an Etch-a-Sketch. “Nothing, just how lucky I am that you’re my husband.”

“Oh? I thought I was the lucky one.” Coriolanus replied, leaning in to kiss you in the back of the luxury car, which was taking you to the reception hall.

You couldn’t help the blush that tinted your cheeks. “Coryo,” you murmured, slipping off the bright red heels you had picked out to wear to the reception, Coriolanus grinning up at you from between your legs as you had brought the idea up one night a few weeks ago.

“How does it feel, to be a Snow?” Coriolanus asked, knowing glint in his eyes.

“Feels like I’m worth a million bucks.”

Coriolanus laughed, fixing his bowtie as the car pulled up to the entrance, groaning when he saw Lucky Flickerman and his parade of cameras.

You knew better than to say anything to the weatherman-turned-host, leaving it all up to Coriolanus, who greeted the cameras with a stiff smile and a “it feels wonderful, something I’ve always dreamt of” when asked how it felt being married.

Entering the reception, you and Coriolanus were greeted with cheers, clapping, and a few wolf whistles.

You two did first rounds greeting the more important people in the room, people you two had known since you were both children.

Tigris squealed so loud you and Coriolanus both winced at the pitch, but laughed as she clapped and hugged you two. “Officially part of the family! I’ve always wanted a sister!”

“Tigris, we aren’t even siblings.” Coriolanus chuckled, hand around your waist and thumb rubbing back and forth soothingly.

You lightly slapped the man’s chest. “Oh, hush. She’s been a sister to me since we first started dating.”

Tigris took your hand, admiring the new addition to your left ring finger. Next to the engagement ring now sat a white gold wedding band, matching the one that now adorned Coriolanus’ left hand.

You promised to have a girl’s night with Tigris as Coriolanus dragged you away, knowing you two would be talking all night if he didn’t break up the conversation while there was a lull.

The two of you ended up in front of Casca Highbottom, who was unusually well-groomed, beard tame and hair gelled. “Well, I guess you can thank me for this.”

“Pardon?” You asked, feeling Coriolanus tense at the elder’s words.

“If it wasn’t for my thinking of the Hunger Games, you two would never have spoken a word to each other.”

Coriolanus did nothing more than give a short smile to the man, thanking him for his wedding gift before you two left him to his morphling and posca.

“Why did you invite him, Coryo?” You asked, finally being able to sit for a moment.

“It would have looked bad to not have my father’s best friend here. The man technically did is the reason we’re where we are now.”

You shrugged, agreeing with Coriolanus. “Come on, I want some cake.”

Coriolanus laughed, following you towards the four-tiered red-velvet cake.

Collapsing onto the bed, you sighed contently as you toed off the red heels you had been dancing in all night.

“What do you think, shall we spend our first night married as we did the last night as an unmarried couple?” Coriolanus asked, already shedding his clothing.

“Oh, I like the way you think.” You smiled, sitting up. “But you have to help me undo this corset before anything.”

🪡Chapter Fifteen: 8-ball

“You have to show me him!” Yuki exclaimed as you adjusted her outfit, making sure everything fit well. “Well, I could show you a picture, but he’s gonna come in right after you, so you could stay a minute extra.”

You two were referring to Megumi, as Yuki had always been one interested in starting conversation on people’s types. You were no exception. She told you that the reason she did it revealed a lot about the person without them knowing, you could see what she meant to an extent but really only she knew what she was talking about.

“Ooo, like how soon after me?” You looked at the time displayed on your phone, seeing the lock screen show the song you were quietly playing in the background for you and Yuki, as you guys were the only ones around. The numbers at the top read the time 5:50. “Like in ten minutes maybe, he said he’d be here around six.”

You backed up, asking Yuki to spin for you, seeing that everything seemed to fit well. “Does anything feel off?” “No, it’s perfect actually!”

“Great! Well that’s really all, you can go and change again, are you staying for a few?”

“Well I am curious, i’ll stick around with you for a bit.”

6:20, and Megumi was no where to be seen. “Is he running late?” Yuki asked leaning her back against the table while she sat down, facing you who was standing up, peaking out the window of the studio room to see if there was any sign of anyone walking in.

“I don’t know, he hasn’t answered the text I sent him.”

“He usually shows up on time?”

“Most of the time, there was just once where he showed up late, but that’s because of something that was happening.” You turned back to Yuki, checking your phone just once again to see if there was any sign from him. “Like how late?” You placed your phone down, sighing before answering “40 minutes..”

“Oh, wow.”

“He made up for it though!” You defended, “He took me out to dinner, it wasn’t really a date because his friend was there too, but still!” Yuki just hummed seeming amused in your story.

“Okay, i’ll wait another 10 minutes max with you then, but if he still hasn’t responded or shown up, we’re leaving.” You yawned in response, not feeling tired because it was late, but instead because this week had really exhausted you with class work. “Can’t we make it 15?”

“Listen, he’s already done something like this before, and you’re tired, just tell him not to show up and talk it out later, but if I was you i’d go and take the fattest nap ever first.”

Megumi sighed after finally finishing his project presentation for his Photo Seminar class. He really needed to try on this assignment, as his last one wasn’t the best. He didn’t fail, but he wasn’t anywhere near where he wanted or needed to be. Stressing over it he was glad to have finally finished his preparation, feeling a weight being lifted off him that is until he checked the time to be 6:38, then it was replaced with panic, remembering he had promised to meet you around six today. He looked for his phone, only to find it and see a text from you already saying you left 7 minutes ago.

Calling All South Park Fans: fandom history is in danger and we need YOUR help to save it!

The official South Park Studios forum is set to close in just a few weeks. This is a huge blow to the fanbase as it holds YEARS of important fan reactions pre and post air of each new episode, as early as season 9. There are episode threads with information from the moderators that contained original press release information that was changed during the episodes production, amazing fan theories that ended up coming true, and potentially with some digging, gems that could become lost media and myths when the website dies. Newer fans may not know just how important a resource like the forums has been for years of the fanbases existence, and is one of the oldest remaining websites that hold pre-2010 fandom interaction.

How can YOU help?

I am hosting, along with other members of the SPHS, a discord group with the aim to divide and conquer getting the website backed up as much as possible on the wayback machine. The process is super simple, though tedious, but if just a few people even contribute to dropping the links of one forum thread into the archive, it would help so much. If you have the time to spare, even just a little, please consider joining the group and helping us save this important piece of history!!

If you are unable to participate, please spread this around to whoever you can. Share it in your discord groups, on twitter, wherever. This is so important and I cannot stress enough the importance this holds for me and so many others if you contribute.

For those interested in a sing-along: here is an English translation of the encore song from the Link Click Musical. (you know, the one one with the hug.)

The tentative title, supplied by a weibo user, is 追光者 "Zhuīguāng zhě" <- Recent lyrics call this 《追光的人》

Edit: It didn't hold up lol. Big thank you @chocolatexiaoshi for teaching me! 追光的人 means People who Pursue Light/ Chase Light/ or Seek Light . Some lyrics have been and will continue to be modified as we work on this!

追光 translates to “spotlight” in my dictionary. Literally, it means "to chase light" In this song, 追光 is personified as either 追光者 or 追光的人. Pretty cool term to use in a stage play! Google translates this as “light chaser.” I’ve chosen to go with “guiding light.” We will see how poorly that holds up to official translation ^^;

Each line punches the gut harder that the last. This song basically references the s2 ending, then ties it into the earthquake ark. It's brilliant. It hurts. Listen to the video while you read. Please enjoy :)

Disclaimer: As always, I am a novice translating for fun, because I want to sing-along and know what I'm saying. I can’t speak or read this language. If you've checked google translate, this doesn't add much extra, but! this post conveniently includes Hanzi, Pinyin, and English for you to reference + a few notes. A few actors for supporting cast don't have a tag: bc 1) they haven't debuted yet and it was harder to find 2) seem to be newbie actors & have very small online presence

Tips: 1) Without a weibo account you can scroll through the actor's tag only up to abt 45 most recent posts. The actors perform in multiple plays (duh) so non-LC photos will show up too.

2) Imo the most optimal method, so the limits won't stop you is: go to the main 'LC musical' tag and see what's new. Check schedule for the cast lineup in a recent performance. Go to the actors' tags to see what's new.

3) Sometimes there are 2 performances on a same day, with different actors. So don't be surprised if you find mixed lineups under one date.

4) Mostly QL and Lin Zhen's actresses post behind the scenes photos on their personal profiles. Don't bother looking up the guys accounts, unless it's a holiday or their b-day >< From what I remember, only Wu Yihan posts abt his cat. Zhang Jiahao and Zhou Bobo post selfies sometimes.

5) Google translate, however broken, is enough to translate the captions, so use it for context✨Ppl sometimes give their reviews titled 'repos' from the stage they've seen 🙏

6) You'll find more musical related clips under the actor's tag, than in 'LC musical' main tag. It's usually in an actor's fancam, but not always. Useful when you like an actor or there was a particular moment you want to see from a different angle🌟👌

7) The clips tab (one in the middle) under the actor's tag has no time limited access. You can browse and watch the videos without issues!

As of 3/18/2024, the Zooliminology blog has just hit the 1,000 follower mark a few hours ago. The research team would like to sincerely thank every one of you for your support during this journey. This amount of followers had only been conceited in my wildest dreams and it's amazing to see the traction that my silly little backrooms drawings had gained. I'm not good with words so I don't really know how to railroad this, but to support our community, there is an official Zooliminology server that will be open to the public. It will be linked at the end of this post. I also apologize for the rather unceremonious announcement, but I've been swamped by mid-semester projects (it was a mistake taking three studio art classes in one semester) and I'm currently working on something that doubles as both a midterm and Zooliminology content. I hope you will all like it. Implantation day:

Series link!

You had given Jack a lot to think about, and although he had been focused and ready for this new life change for a while, your questions had got in his head.

The next day after dinner Yasmeen met Jack at the agency and they both had taken care of all the necessary paperwork.

Implantation day was scheduled and around the corner and this process was officially going to start.

Jack was focused on making some new music and had taken that opportunity to coop himself up in the studio.

Urban noticed the immediate change in him, wondering why his focus shifted so much in only a matter of days.

After a week, he showed up at Jacks house unannounced, something he did fairly often, and decided to join him in the studio.

Jack was fully distracted until he heard the light knocking against the studio door, he recognized the shadow immediately unlocking it and letting Urban inside.

“Hey!” They greeted one another, Urban brought pizza as a peace offering for the heavy conversation he was sure to have with him.

“Haven’t heard from you in a minute. You good?” Urban sat on the couch, pushing the pizza box toward Jack.

“Yeah! I’m just in album mode” he responded as overly enthusiastic as he could.

Urban typically saw through all of that façade, so he wasn’t even sure why he tried to cover up his real feelings.

“What’s going on? You’ve been acting weird since that dinner.”

“How’d you know about the dinner?” Jack groaned, taking a slice from the box.

“Clay, he told me everything, since you wouldn’t answer my calls.”

Jack felt ashamed, he didn’t mean to push Urban away, he just truthfully had been ignoring everyone’s calls.

“Did he tell you about Yasmeen’s sister?” He angrily took a bite out of the pizza, clearly starving considering he couldn’t recall the last time he had eaten a real meal.

“He told me how she busted your balls all night. Who cares!”

“I do. What if she’s asking me all the right questions? What made me think I could do this? Once implantation day comes, I can’t change my mind Urb.”

“Jack- calm down” Urban let out a soft laugh, his eyes tracing over Jack's nervous demeanor.

Jack was sat across from him, in the studio chair. His leg violently bouncing, sweat forming in his hairline, he had eye bags for days and his curls were a flat dirty mess.

“It’s not that I’ve changed my mind, I know I want to have this child but can I do it alone? Is this something crazy to plan without a partner?”

“You won’t raise this kid alone. You have your parents, me, Alessandra, Clay, Naomi, and everyone else. You know we always take care of each other. We’ve been over this.”

Jack continued to eat his pizza, the two sat in a comfortable silence for a while.

“Remember when Alessandra was pregnant the first time? You read all those books with me about being a dad?” Urban laughed, remembering how scared shitless he was.

“Yeah because you didn’t want to “miss any of the important stuff”” Jack did finger air quotes making them both laugh out loud.

“I’m just saying. You won’t do this alone. I got you. Plus I have both a son and a daughter so I have knowledge on both” Urban knew Jack just needed a push, but that his mind was made up.

Jack laughed at the last part before he sat back in his chair, pulling his phone out and checking the date and time.

“Implantation day is on Wednesday” he swallowed, counting the days.

“Do you get to be there?”

“Yasmeen told me I could come if I wanted to but it feels kind of invasive.”

“I mean, it is your child we’re talking about” Urban shrugged.

Three days later.

Jack woke up feeling overwhelmingly nauseous, wondering if he was somehow experiencing placebo pregnancy symptoms.

When Jack arrived at the facility he was discreetly ushered to Yasmeen’s room, greeted by her sister and Yasmeen’s partner who also had to sign an NDA.

The entire day felt like a blur, Jack remembered being told to hold Yasmeen’s hand and pretty much blacking out after that.

The results wouldn’t be known for almost two weeks and if the implantation didn’t take, they’d try again.

Jack vaguely remembered a joke being told about Yasmeen being fertile but couldn’t remember much, since he sprinted to the nearest bathroom to vomit.

Two light knocks echoed against the bathroom door as Jack gathered himself to open the door.

You stood there grasping a cold water bottle and some crackers from the nearest vending machine.

“I just wanted to make sure you’re okay” you spoke quietly not wanting to draw more attention to you both.

“Fine, I’m fine” Jack ran a hand through his curls.“Just nerves.”

You handed him the items you were holding, and before he could reject them you spoke.

“Please? You’re pale and it’s my way of saying I’m sorry about the other night” Your words came out jumbled together but he got the gist.

“I’m just this color” he joked, taking the items from you as he walked out of the bathroom.

You giggled at his joke, taking this as an opening.

“I had no reason to grill you that hard that night at dinner and I’m sorry.”

“They were valid questions. I get it” he smiled as you both walked side by side to the parking lot.

“So we’re fine?” You awkwardly laughed, hoping to be in his good graces.

“We’re perfect” Jack laughed unlocking his car. He looked around for your car wondering where it was.

“I’m right there” you pointed to a row down.

“Do you want me to walk with you?”

You were taken aback by his sudden kindness, not wanting to push any buttons.

“No, I’ll be fine. I’ll be seeing more of you though, right?” You weren’t sure why you said that exactly but it was too late.

“That’s the plan” Jack smirked as he got in his car.

Music Video for “Yūyami no Uta”

The official music video for Keiko's upcoming single “夕闇のうた/Yūyami no Uta” has just been uploaded to YouTube. Be sure to check it out.

Waaaaaahhh, I'm obsessed!! Need some time to process this. Update: All right, I had some time to digest the whole thing. Here are some thoughts=> The second verse with the blue-ish/purple-ish/pink-ish background is absolutely breathtaking. Love that Keiko has her hair in an up-do here, she looks stunning like this. And when she is lying on the floor, DAYUM, I have no words! Nitpicking: Wish they had given her a different pair of shoes. And there's just too much fabric in the obi section that's not wrapped tight enough... The song itself still hasn't fully grown on me. It really is somewhat of a toned down version of Hyakka Ryouran mixed with a little bit of something else I suppose...? Not a big fan of the melody in the chorus and bridge but the verses are super nice and I enjoy the scat singing a lot. Although I will say that I wasn't too excited about it during the Kaji Fes performance, maybe it was the acoustics or Keiko's microphone but the scat part was unfortunately quite underwhelming. Oh well, I can definitely appreciate the song so much more now that I get to hear the full studio version so I am grateful for that. Wish YK had leaned more into the cello, you can hear it quite prominently during a short section in the second verse (1:33~) but then it fades into the background again. What a shame T_T

Coughs in complete absolute professionalism

The first of my OCs have officially had their links posted on my pinned Master Post! This is one of them: my beautiful, beloved, and tragic Inuyasha OC Amaterasu. This is a piece of art I commissioned earlier in 2023 from the lovely ItsNattie, from whom I've been commissioning art of many kinds for over a decade now! It's a massive poster-esque piece for Amaterasu's FanFic I've been slowly working on (it's one of uh... many... I have a draftaholic problem), and, if you hadn't guessed, she's a Sesshōmaru pairing!

That said, I consider an OC's FanFic version and their RP versions to be entirely separate for the sake of exploring ✨ infinite possibilities! ✨ So, while Amaterasu is paired with Sesshōmaru in her FanFiction, that doesn't mean I'll only allow Sesshōmaru RPers to exclusively pair with her romantically. I like to leave that up to vibes. If I feel like she's got chemistry with someone, you bet your zeros and ones I'm gonna ship it!

With that out of the way, allow me a moment to wax poetic about the weight and meaning behind this gorgeous piece of art to end the post.

Ahem.

TW: Death

Amaterasu is a character who, in essence, is supposed to be the sun goddess herself—the name isn't just for show. However, through the circumstances of her story, she's been sealed in a mortal body, and much of her power is diminished throughout the series. Like everyone else, she's out for Naraku's head. However, she ends up encountering Sesshōmaru. At first, they seem as if they'll kill each other. The reason is pretty straightforward. Sesshōmaru is an Inu Daiyōkai and the Lord of the West while Amaterasu is the Head Kami and Ruler of Takamagahara. Their very existences challenge each other and, by nature, they feel an instinctive loathing of the other.

However, due to their equally calm dispositions, instead of a fight, they have an interogation a conversation instead. Sesshōmaru questions who she is, and Amaterasu does the same. Jaken gives a fussy introduction on his Lord's behalf, and Amaterasu gives her name... before promptly telling them both to turn around so she can get out of the spring she was bathing in when Sesshōmaru sniffed out her divine aura.

They end up having several more encounters with each other, but Amaterasu has far more interactions with Inuyasha's party initially. At least until Rin comes into the picture. Then, she travels strictly with Sesshōmaru under the pretense of protecting Rin from him. Over time, the two become more tolerant of one another until they start checking over their shoulder to ensure the other is still there, using each other as a leaning post at night or entrusting the other with safeguarding Rin, Jaken, and A-Un when the other leaves for one reason or another. It borders that fine line of respect and affection; Sesshōmaru is aloof and apathetic, while Amaterasu unabashedly loves life and is compassionate. She learns through him that not all yōkai are out to kill humanity, and he finds a new warmth in life with her presence. Like winter in the face of spring, they need each other to complete a cycle or, in this case, each other. By "The Final Act," they are pressing their palms together to be sure the other is okay, staring each other in the eyes and covering each other in a fight.

However, I call Amaterasu a tragic OC for a reason. In the end, once Naraku is slain, Amaterasu's seal is undone, and her mortal body slowly breaks down. Flying her there in his arms with Rin and Jaken riding his mokomoko-sama. There, she has her farewells to each of them, praising Jaken's loyalty and courage despite his stature and weakness, telling Rin that she will watch her as she becomes a lady with the utmost warmth and character, and telling Sesshōmaru that he has changed her. That she can never be the same person she was before, but she wishes that she could, if only to relive it all. Because it was the happiest time of her life.

Under the shining sunrise, Amaterasu promises that, so long as their feelings remain unchanging, she will find a way to meet him there again. Every time he feels the sun's light and traces its beams, it will be her smiling and touching his hand, praying for him to live.

Finally, as her body crumbles into glowing flowers, they share a first and last kiss... until all that's touching his lips are cherry blossoms that fall through his arms to the ground of the clearing... blooming wildly with flowers and other foliage and surrounded by onlooking wildlife.

Thus, the feudal fairy tale of two tragic loves from completely opposite realms of existence concludes in the only way it ever could.

Well, while I haven't considered making a fandom primer before... I did make a timeline of what we know about Joseph so far in this post over here. I even translated it into Spanish upon request here.

Oh, something that came out since I made that post is this image from the kickstarter that shows us Joseph's whole body, including his stylish rose-printed boots. Also, the lovely creator of the game shared development sprites in this post that tease at certain plot elements in the upcoming game. As well as this suspiciously familiar lad on Jack's birthday.

As for Jack, I didn't consolidate everything in one place, but I have discussed various topics about him that might be more pertinent. His limitations, for example, are an important part of his character. Consent is a big part of the game and his character.

A lot of what I've discussed are theories, such as how Jack got stuck in the tape, but I do show relevant pieces of artwork and link to the official twitter and tumblr that give teasers. One important piece of info from the tumblr is that Jack can touch/interact with things the more attached he is to his sunshine. The asks from the official tumblr have some juicy lore bits. I've also made transcripts for some of the audio dramas in this tag.

I'm honestly not sure what else should go into a introduction to the fandom for newcomers, besides suggesting they try out the demo and check out official sources. Sadly, I'm not a part of Snaccpop Studios (though I'd love to be hired on as a writer), so I don't count as an official source. Most of what I have to offer with my headcanon rambles are theories and possibilities after all. Plus I'm always adding more thoughts as more teasers slowly trickle out and I get new perspectives from other members of this lovely fandom.

Maybe I should give it some thought how to go about an introduction primer for new fans, but I don't want to give the false impression that I'm an official source for information. I'm just an enthusiastic fan who is trying to sleuth out what's going on and play around with the concepts.

I'd say start from the demo, then go to the official pages for more information. The official toyhou.se page has profiles for the love interests plus the boss, and you can check out other important SnaccPop Studio links here. I hope this helps!

今回の来日前にさっぱりと髪を短く切ってきたチェン。リハーサル初日には、久しぶりに会ったスタッフたちと「日本もあっついですね～！」といつものニコニコ笑顔で話しながら、日本の暑さに少し驚いた様子で元気にスタジオに入り��した^^

そして初めて直接会ったバンドのみなさんに「初めまして！チェンです！」とご挨拶^^ 事前にバンドのみなさんから送ってもらっていた音源をたくさん聴いて練習してきたというチェンは、「みなさん、すごくよかったです！ありがとうございます！一緒に頑張りましょう！」と伝えていましたよ^^ 自分なりに、バンドのみなさんと一緒に調整をしていきたいことなどをまとめてきたそうで、リハーサルがスタートすると、「いいですね！」「もう一度サビからお願いします！」などと日本語でみなさんとコミュニケーションを取りながら、一曲一曲を丁寧にリハーサルしていきました♪

そして、リハーサル現場で今回のツアーグッズのTシャツを見たチェンは「僕の書いた字が入ってるんですね！生地がしっかりしてていいです！」と満足そうな笑顔で話し、早速着替えていました^^

Translation: "Hey, EXO-L-JAPAN, 'CHEN JAPAN TOUR 2023 - Polaris -' will be starting very soon! In his goal to give his best performance for EXO-L-JAPAN, Chen has begun his rehearsals and he is just as excited as you all are!

Chen decided to get a short haircut before this performance. It's been a while since he last saw the Japanese staff. On the first day of rehearsal he greeted the staff with his iconic bright smile and said, 'Japan is pre~tty hot too!' Despite the initial shock at Japan's hot weather, Chen was as energetic as ever in the studio.^^

When he met the band face to face for the first time he greeted them with, 'Nice to meet you! I'm Chen!'^^ Before the rehearsal, the band sent Chen some sample tracks to listen to. He listened to the music a lot and when he met the band, he told them, 'Wow, you guys are amazing! Thank you so much! I look forward to working together!'^^ Adding his own flare, he worked with the band to make some adjustments to the music. He spoke Japanese with the band saying things like, 'Nice!' and 'Let's start again from the chorus'! They worked diligently on each song, one by one.♪

Chen checked out some of the samples of the tour merchandise at the rehearsal. When he saw the T-shirt he smiled and said, 'It has my handwriting on it! And the fabric is nice and strong!'. He then proceeded to put the shirt on!^^

From recent official announcements: Encore Musicals posted a video where all CXS actors answer the question 'If there was a Time Photo Studio in real life, what task would you entrust them with?'.

Today I haphazardly made a machine translation thread of their answers. It's a great material to compare the actors personalities, so please check it out.

Not much coverage bc there was another performance on a same day that drew more attention...

April 5th, night: Cai Qi, Wu Yihan, Qian Anqi

It was their 2nd performance together and it felt more relaxed this time🙏It was fun and playful encore ^^

They shoved each other during 'Pursuers of light'. For 'You can forget about it' XiaoJuan piglet made a comeback 🐷 just to get slapped by both lg and cxs ><' Wu Yihan laughs a lot 💙first at Cai Qi hitting poor XiaoJuan, then at rock, paper, scissors match.

He does his trick of making the signs while keeping his hand low, so cxs doesn't notice. But he looses anyway and chokes on a laugh.

New collaborations with LEGO, an upcoming Sonic Frontiers DLC update, and a first look at Part 2 of Sonic Prime were among the major highlights in this year's Sonic Central presentation.

Here's everything you need to know.

Sonic Frontiers

Details on the second major content update for Sonic Frontiers was revealed in the Sonic Central. Titled "Sonic's Birthday Bash", it's scheduled for a release on 23 June 2023.

Sonic's Birthday: Celebrate Sonic's birthday in Sonic Frontiers with a new birthday theme, including a festive HUD, environment objects, a new birthday skin, and more!

Open Zone Challenges: Explore the Open Zone with all new challanges scattered throughout.

Spindash: The iconic Sonic move makes a return in Sonic Frontiers!

New Kocos: Some Kocos seem to dawn new outfits and some do seem a bit bigger than usual.

New Game Plus.

Sonic Superstars

A new teaser was shown promoting the new Sonic Superstars and LEGO collaboration, featuring LEGO Eggman as a pre-order bonus.

Following the presentation, SEGA dropped new renders and descriptions for all the characters featured in the upcoming game.

Trip: Not much is known yet about Trip, the mysterious girl first encountered by Fang on the Northstar Islands. While a bit clumsy, Trip is heavily armored and has been enlisted by Fang and Dr. Eggman to protect and guide them around the wonders of this uncharted region.

Fang the Hunter (formerly Fang the Sniper): Fang is a springy jerboa that is light on his feet and is always looking for the next big score. A bounty hunter by trade, Fang the Hunter has been known by many different names over the years, likely due to his “WANTED” status with the authorities. Always trying to stay one step ahead, he’s constantly modifying and upgrading his primary mode of transportation, the Marvelous Queen.

The official Sonic the Hedgehog YouTube channel also uploaded a new 3-minute video featuring Superstars producer Naoto Ohshima and Sonic Studio creative officer Takashi Iizuka.

Sonic Prime

A new extended clip of the upcoming second content drop of Sonic Prime was previewed. It's scheduled to make its debut on Netflix in 13 July.

Sonic Dash and Speed Battle

A new Classic Super Sonic skin will be joining SEGA HARDlight's flagship titles Speed Battle and Dash soon.

Other things of note, as reported last week:

To coincide with the release of the 2nd season of Sonic Prime, characters from Prime will be playable in Dash, including Boscage Sonic, Rusty Rose, and Tails Nine.

Alongside the Prime characters, Super Silver and an all new Dragon Hunter Lancelot will make their debut in Dash and Speed Battle later this month.

San Diego Comic-Con 2023

With Comic-Con coming this summer, a new pop-up restaurant featuring the blue blur will open near the show floor.

More details will be announced in the weeks ahead.

Merchandise

New Death Egg Set from Jakks Pacific: Based on the Sonic 4 Episode 2 final boss, fight The Egg Heart in the new Death Egg set.

Streetwear brand Hypland announced their collaboration with Sonic the Hedgehog: The limited edition collection features an assortment of graphic tees and hoodies featuring Sonic and his friends meshed into contemporary streetwear designs.

S-Fire Sonic Statue: Pre-order the new Sonic & Shadow statue today with augmented reality compatibility.

Sonic has officially announced a collaboration with the popular shoe brand Crocs. As reported back in late May: it's available in adult and kids sizes, for $49.99 USD and $44.99 USD respectively. Besides the shoes themselves, Crocs will be offering Jibbitz charms. They will be coming in a pack of 5 with Sonic, Tails, Knuckles, Amy, and Shadow, offered at $19.99 USD.

Other things of note: a Sonic-themed Playmate cooler from Igloo, a themed guitar from ESP Guitars, and Sonic and Shadow Cable Guy figures.

Sonic Origins Plus

With Origins Plus out, SEGA released a new launch trailer.

With more content than ever before, and a new premium physical version, Sonic Origins Plus is the definitive way to play 16 classic Sonic games in one timeless collection.

LEGO

SEGA officially previewed the Death Egg Robot set, now scheduled for a release in August.

As reported via a leak earlier this month, it contains a Sonic mini figure accompanied with his speed sphere mechanism and the launcher to it; and the Death Egg Robot piloted by Eggman, and Cubot.

Samba de Amigo: Party Central

As reported, the upcoming Samba De Amigo: Party Central will be featuring the world's famous hedgehog as a guest character.

The game will feature two iconic Sonic tunes, Escape From the City and Fist Bump, alongside the City Escape stage itself.

IDW Sonic the Hedgehog

Today's Central presentation made a brief mention of IDW Publishing's upcoming one-shot issue for the Sonic the Hedgehog comic book series: Amy Rose's 30th Anniversary.

Sonic Speed Simulator

Despite the developer's controversies, the officially-licenced Speed Simulator got a mention in the Central presentation.
