Also I still don't know what I'd price my work as.
For example I showed this portrait to my therapist and this other artist in my queer group and my therapist said $50 at least but the other artist said $200 and both of those sound overpriced but they're insisting anything less would be selling myself short. 50 sounds like too much, let alone 200.
This took about 18 hours to draw and it's graphite and charcoal on paper, but I don't know if it would even sell for $18, which would pay me $1 per hour of work.
How much would you price/buy this for???
Genuinely asking because I don't know if I'm being rational about not thinking people would pay that much or if it is just me selling myself short, and that's an important distinction to make if I do decide to sell my art.
