So uhh... okay let me explain this here. I was going through my laptop and found this along with an rpg that I had barely even started lmao. It was a parody of another rpg game trope, but I'm not going to mention the full name. Censored for a friend, I'll let your minds wander about what this is: H-Oni. Essentially a grown up Chibiusa goes back to the past disguised as her younger self and all the scouts got stuck in this temple. I didn't even get past the first chapter lmao. Finding this did make me want to just plain write it out, but I know it's gonna be difficult transferring gameplay to a written format, but I plan to try at leas. :3

I’m not proud of them, but I accept them, because progress takes work. I can at least say that it’s visible work, which is a bit validating. I take an odd jumps between shading and highlighting, but there is effort here, so points for trying.

And I didn’t just draw Chibiusa! There is, in fact, art of a lot of the other characters, so I may have been biased with my pink girl, but I worked my way through the cast. Like a true fan.

They’re just as bad, tho, lol.

These two pieces happened because of Art Reasons™ XD but I'm v happy I did these as a set! It's been especially long since I last drew Chibimoon, and I think this might be my best one yet?? Idk. Anyway, both are shown in their first fuku and colored according to Takeuchi-sensei's manga palettes~ Have some more artist dithering below the cut... c: | Done in Clip Studio Paint.

As mentioned with the sketch for Sailor Moon, I was struggling to learn CSP's 3D models, but I figured them out! Mostly. :D And I learned a lot when I chose a pose to use for Chibimoon. This was mostly an exercise in learning this aspect of CSP, and I'm so glad I did it. Which brings me to another thing:

Technically, Moon's anatomy is off, bc I left her pose based off the male model. I adjusted it as much as possible, and I still wasn't happy with it. So I made a fresh layer, dropped a blank female model and then my selected pose on top...and tried redoing the sketch. But y'know what? I was in love with my original sketch so much that I said, "Screw this," and just went with it anyway. Sometimes art is accepting the flaws and making magic anyway--and I'm delighted I did. :D

Anyway, I learned from that mistake when I created my file for Chibimoon, so crisis avoided! XD And then I didn't only use Takeuchi-sensei's palettes but actually studied her old colored ink coloring style and tried to emulate it a bit. Ofc, my art's heavily/clearly digital, but I love the final result. I'm just. This is the happiest my art's made me in a long while (not that my other art's a disappointment, but still!), and there's smthg poetic, I think, that it's art for the series that got me into writing and drawing in the first place. -w-

also ngl i am sorely tempted to turn these into holographic stickers and slap them all over the place 8D
