Starter Call - @chibitantei ☾

The winter months were just beginning to set in, the temperatures dropping. Not quite to 'freeze your balls off' levels, but they'd be gettin' there soon. The team had only gotten busier with their goin' in and out of the TV world. Despite them needin' to gather together after school on the rooftop at Junes, Kanji still made an effort in his crafts when he had the chance. It was a nice distraction. Savin' people from their shadow selves was real high stakes. It was nice to do something that wasn't quite so life-or-death. Knittin' little animals or sewin' some shit together was as good of a way to spend a day off as any.

Plus, he'd just found an adorable pattern. It was the sorta thing he could definitely see Naoto in. Not that he imagined her in a lotta shit like that! It was just somethin' that came to mind when he was lookin' at it. Plus, he had a perfect color of yarn for her. Super soft, too.

So, at the end of another day of classes, he'd decided to make his move. “Hey, Naoto! I gotta talk to you about somethin'. You got a sec?” His volume certainly could've been a little quieter, especially considering he was tryin' to pull her aside for a private conversation. He didn't wanna risk her not hearing him, though. That'd just be embarrassing. Especially since there were so many bystanders around to see it. Buncha people leavin' classes too, just like him. He hadn't gotten a text from Senpai sayin' they'd be meetin' up today, so he figured it was safe to try and launch this now.

2. Girls and guys can be best friends. Not everyone has to be gay to fit your silly narrative or headcanons to shove in my face. If it's your comfort character, cool, but please don't make being gay or bi their entire personality. It doesn't make me take them seriously at all if there isn't any real development outside of that, sorry.

3. Too many spaces between words and unnecessary capital words in dialogue are not for me. I'm almost 30, I've worn glasses my whole life and I need things to be legible. Also, themes that are pretty aesthetic, but I can barely find the floating links? Stop. I'm begging you, make things legible and neat. Finally, 60x60 icons are too small for my eyes, but if I can see it... cool, I guess.

It was unfamiliar territory for the robot, as Aigis walked the streets of Inaba, following the directions given to her. She'd only really visited Inaba once before, but the stay had been brief and she spent most of the time fighting. Now that she had more time, Aigis was starting to notice how pretty the little town was.

Her directions led her out of Inaba itself and into the outskirts of town to a large manor. This was a much more familiar sight to her - She was now a permanent resident of one of Mitsuru's mansions back on Port Island - the opulence and regalia a comforting sight as she rang the doorbell.

A smile pulled at her lips as the door opened. Aigis bowed politely before saying, "Good morning, I am looking for Shirogane Naoto. I have a case for the Detective Prince."

There's two reasons I don't write fighting RP. I suck at writing them, and people have the habit of randomly throwing their op muse at your muse. Assuming that they have beef with your muse despite no planning involved, and the two muses never interacting. Also assuming their muse can one-shot your muse despite, you're muse being powerful in their own rights! Don't even get me started how bad this can be for powerful female muses, especially if the other muse in question is male. No Jim! I don't wanna randomly beef with your super op muse that could one shot goku, and fucking claps cheeks with Freddy Fazbear on the side! I'm just here to vibe.

Even for Tsubasa, walking through a bookstore carrying a picture of their own face - albeit obscured by their black surgical mask and their trademark sunglasses - was a bit much. But, Japan hadn't had many nationally-syndicated skate magazines, and even if the guys who'd asked them for a photoshoot and an interview had only worked out a deal with some shops in Tokyo for now, Tsubasa figured that they had as good a chance as anyone. That they'd opted to put Tsubasa on the cover without mentioning that detail was a little embarrassing, but they guessed if that helped it sell, there wasn't any harm in it.

There was one other thing that they meant to pick up, and the website had confirmed it was in stock. To the moment, though, Tsubasa hadn't found it. They regretted not just buying online. Meanwhile, everyone else in the store seemed so sure of where they were going and what they were doing - an isolating experience for the skater who vastly preferred Youtube documentaries and random website articles to paper and ink. Looking around from behind tinted glasses, they were intending to search for an employee who could help, only to settle on what looked like a familiar face only an aisle or two over.

Sidling up beside the detective, Tsubasa offered a chilled-out wave that morphed into a peace sign partway through. "Yo, Naoto-san," they said gently, careful not to make it seem like they were sneaking up on her. They'd left it up to the infinite possibilities of reality's algorithm, and seemingly been rewarded for it. They'd take that, for while Tsubasa prioritized other people's comfort and didn't want to come off as pushy, hadn't it kind of felt unfinished to leave things as they had in Akihabara? They'd sort of hoped to run into her again, even if there weren't any concrete steps they could, or would, take to make that hope more likely.

"Guess I ended up catching you outside of work like you said, huh?" If they'd thought it through, a bookstore was the kind of place that made sense to find someone like her - she seemed studious. They could imagine her reading serious literature, or some informative nonfiction books in equal measures. Either way, next to the flimsy DIY-style magazine under their arm, it was probably something way more impressive. "If I'm not interrupting, what are you up to?" They craned their neck, more than a little curious at what books she was looking at in the first place. "Checking out anything interesting?"

Junpei stopped himself short, wondering if the sun was blinding him. He thought he saw Chidori... Junpei quickly shook his head, knowing that this was the life he had given her. She will always be with him, even if he can't see her.

Chidori was like the breeze that ruffled his hair up or made his clothes flap around. Junpei turned his attention back to Naoto and grinned. "I think I am just tired. Working with you all to save my friends seemed to make me exhausted."

@chibitantei sent - She wondered if Ryuji would grow tired of ramen themed gifts, and as much as she tried to avoid them, two model kits called out to her. One was rather simple and in all honesty, she had no idea what possessed them to make such a thing, but Naoto was thankful for its existence.

A model cup of instant ramen, and of course, certified by the most famous brand out there.

The second was a model kit of a ramen restaurant. A bit more complicated compared to the cup, but it was much more manageable than one of the robot kits Naoto had loved to put together as a child.

When the day arrived, she presented them to him, both boxes wrapped in bold colors like the ones found on his graphic tees. “Merry Christmas, I hope you enjoy them.” ( Christmas 2023! )

He was surprised to see her initially, face brightening upon spotting her - he didn't typically make plans around this time of year, given that it was a busy time for everyone but a part of him was genuinely happy to see her - bearing gifts no less.

As he gingerly tears open each gift, he smiles widely, reaching up to give her an excited hug before remembering his own gifts for her.

He had grabbed two Pokemon related gifts - figuring that Pokemon was a popular and therefore, safe enough option, right? In each brightly wrapped parcel, she would find an adorable plushie and a cute little terrarium with a little Pokemon inside. Hopefully ones that she liked.

"Merry Christmas!" He responds, cheerily handing his gifts over to her, a hand seeming to run shyly through his hair. "You, uh, want to stay for some hot chocolate?"
