I don't have much to say about Jesse's exit on Chicago PD, except for the fact that I think Chicago PD ended in s9 for me.

I stopped watching weekly once it all became about Anna and Voight (I rewatched s1-s8 for Jay & Upstead in the meantime). And I'm kinda glad I did cause I "aged out" of the more recent storylines and that was that. I got my closure and Upstead happy ending back when they got married and wasn't really gonna keep up with CPD this fall except for what my friends on tumblr shared.

My heart goes out to those who were looking forward to an Upstead-happy season and all the potential Sergeant Jay Halstead in the future with his wife being a complete badass herself.

I'll still be writing for Upstead because as a Grey's Anatomy lover, you learn to never accept canon. Sending love & Upstead s4-s9 vibes <3

You know what? I'm not sure why we expected better.

Erin's exit was awful. Al's was horrific. Antonio's was terrible. Nadia. Mouse? Tay. The list goes on and on.

Bad exits are a tradition on Chicago PD and boy did they deliver last night.

That episode was just stupid. They completely changed Jay's character and gave no reason for it. None at all. I hated it. Hated. it.

But Jesse did an amazing job, as always. I love him and will follow him anywhere. I can't wait to see what he does next.

9x07: the scene in the viewing room… “I’m still me.” all that angst is wonderful 🙌🏼🙌🏼

9x08: phone conversation… “Can you come home to me now, please?” “It’s all I want.”

9x09: the ending montage with their marriage, their vows, the love scene…it was all so perfect ❤️
