"Do I want to go back? No, I don't want to feel weak anymore"

I have so many HC for this guy, you have no idea. At first, I just wanted to draw a simple portrait, and then boom my "I wonder how they look as a kid" stuff came around and I ended up making these. It almost feels like he's my OC or something. Beemoov, please don't ruin him!!!

Project : Movement

Week : 22nd Jan - 26th Jan

Today I finished my self portrait that I was working on from last week, with acrylic paints. Below I have included some photos of the progress.

As I’m looking at the movement from childhood to adulthood for my concept, I’m focusing particularly on maturity. Since I feel I was more mature for my age at the time, as a child, I wanted to incorporate some adult themes in my child self portrait. For this, I included a cigarette in the mouth. I felt this also added some humour to the painting, as it’s not something to be expected.

This week, I plan to continue working with the painting discipline for one more week. I’d like to paint an additional self portrait, but of myself currently. In this, I’d like to include child-like objects in the portrait to show a lack of maturity in myself nowadays.

I also wanted to incorporate some ideas from the tool-making and mark-making workshop from this week. For the wood pattern in the floorboards, I applied the paint onto a small piece of firewood and pressed onto the cardboard to give the floorboard effect.
