Warden Emmet AU except I make him the warden of a newly discovered Hisuian Galvantula. I made Galvantula a fire/dark type and they live below the cave system in the obsidian field lands. Emmet first discovered a fire joltik in a cave and found there was many more hidden behind a cavern wall in the caves. He’s been staying with them ever since.

He retains his memories but talks about such wildly different and new things that everyone thinks he hit his head and is making stuff up.

When his lil joltik evolved into Lady Galvantula he was made her warden and is the Diamond clan equivalent of Spiders Georg in his cave. He’s still friendly and cares about keeping everyone safe but misses his home and wants to find a way back but can’t. He knows that he’s possibly in the past and changing too much might disrupt the future he wants to go back to. So he’s resigned to wait until something can transport him back.

A theory I had about alpha Pokémon was that they somehow absorbed frenzy causing energy when hatching or evolving that makes become bigger and more powerful. Since they’re not nobles they only need to be beaten in a battle for the energy to clear, something like that.

Don’t worry about Emmet, he’s fine, he’s too excited to care about being tossed into a tree.

I love their partner Pokémon and the hc that they mirror eachother. Chandelure is easier to draw emoting and eelektross looks intimidating but chill.🖤

More of this AU, how Emmet and his new smoky joltik met ;-;

Emmet first came through a rift in the cave and it messed with its structure, allowing a lil joltik to wander out but got stuck once the dust cleared.

I’ll make another comic about it evolving into Lady Galvantula but for now Emmet and his bug Pokémon will try to battle anyone in a 5 mile radius. He joined the diamond clan and liked the obsidian field lands enough to stay, he tries to battle Lian and anyone else he can find there.

He was asked to leave Jubilife Village because he doesn’t call anyone in charge by their titles and challenges everyone to a battle 3 times a day. He still goes over there to sell stuff he finds from rifts and buy evolution items/grit dust. The village can’t deny that he carries some rare and valuable stuff.
