The Air Filter Pokemon

Normal - Fairy

Evolves from Spinda when given a hay bale

Teporinda are known for making big beards, tails and mustaches masks out of grass and straw. These ornaments help filter out the noxious gases and particulates like soot and ash from the air, which allows them to think straight now that they’re not intoxicated 24/7.

Ability: Purifying Filter

This ability prevents poisoning, it also negates the negative effects of the new weather: Volcanic Ash.

Volcanic Ash

-Raises the Special attack of Poison type Pokémon

-Poisons any Pokémon that is not Poison, Fire, or Steel type

-Lowers the accuracy of any Pokémon that is not Poison or Fire type

Inspiration

Teporinda was mainly inspired by the Mexican Volcano Rabbit or Teporingo. Small bunnies that live in volcanoes and make nests out of straw and grass.

It also was inspired by the chinchilla, since they take those dust baths, and the vizcahca, since they’re funny mountain fellas.

How do you give a Cinccino and Minccino a bath?

Same as most pokemon. Don't let the water be too hot, or too cold. A sink would be good to bathe them in, because they're really small. Use a special shampoo made for minccino and cinccino fur sold at pokemon centers, as regular soap or shampoo could damage their fur.

Meet my DQB2 Builder character, based off of my Builder in game (but as a Pokemon)! My actual Builder is named Shelby, but I'm calling her Minc to avoid mixup with my raccoon sona with the same name. Figured I'd just make her a Minccino since it's my favourite Pokemon and I feel silly for still not drawing my favourite Pokemon (yes, Pepper the shiny Zorua is my Pokesona but I decided to just create a new character from scratch for this).

Proof that my Builder looks like this in DQB2 (so people don’t “correct” me that she’s the female DQB1 Builder; I mean you can get the 1st Builder’s hat if you have DQB1 save data in your console)

Also trivia time:

The name Minc was partially inspired by some Pokespe (Pokemon Adventures) characters' Pokemon nicknaming themes (like Red, Diamond and Black's Pokemon)

The name Minc also belonged to an old fursona I had back in 2020-2021 that I now no longer use and belongs to a friend now with a new name

Minc being a Minccino and Malroth being a Zorua is also a little nod to a scrapped fanmade Pokemon region I intended on writing about (scrapped the project out of incompetence), where my protagonist duo own a Zorua and a Minccino (prior to obtaining a starter)
