It boggles my mind how many athletes, musicians and even actors come out of VA and then do things for their local communities yet the only time I can remember gnat do anything was he visited chkd la dragging behind him and visited like 1 kid. Like the local stations were gearing their ads to promote flash, etc when it was at its peak. Smh

It has been 5 years and 5 months since I last posted! I enlisted as a 68W in the Army Reserve in 2018, moved from Upstate NY to Virginia Beach in 2019, and became a registered nurse in 2021. I work full time in pediatric inpatient psychiatry. Here is my current personal statement:

I am passionate about human health; improving lives through advocacy, fitness and medicine.

Originally a premedical student, I studied biochemistry and psychology with a concentration in cognitive neuroscience. My first year at Clarkson University, I became a volunteer EMT and founding member of Doctors Without Borders Club. I taught a variety of fitness classes to my collegiate peers for several years, eventually earning certification as a NASM personal trainer.

I first developed my voice for advocacy while attending DeSales Catholic High School. I spoke out against bullying and negative peer pressure as Miss Teen New York 2010. I later promoted mental health awareness on social media and at speaking events as USA National Miss New York 2016. I also promoted “Beauty With a Purpose” as a 2017 Miss World America national finalist. I recently held the title of Miss Virginia Beach USA 2021 in the Miss Universe Organization. I currently hold the title of America's Most Beautiful Miss East Coast.

I believe in a strong military, and am proud to serve as a medic in the Army Reserve. I graduated from my accelerated ADN program and began working full-time as a reguuistered nurse in April 2021. I am fully vaccinated for COVID-19. I have BLS, ACLS, PALS, NIHSS, Nonviolent Crisis Intervention and Handle With Care certifications. I am enrolled in a RN-BSN program and am on track to graduate by October. I am applying to direct commission as a psychiatric nurse officer. I am currently specializing in pediatric psychiatry at CHKD and intend to pursue my doctorate as a psychiatric nurse practitioner.
